Woke up with a red, watery eye and was going out of state in 2 days. I asked to possibly get an appointment this Monday morning. I went in at 10:30 and was seen within 10 minutes, was seen by the doctor and received a prescription. I appreciate Dr. Guerkink’s thoroughness and helpful staff! Highly recommend.

Horrible service. Completely unprofessional. Changed my appointment time to a month later, which was fine. Sent numerous reminders of new appointment byvtext and phone call right up to the day before. Drove 70+ miles to my appointment to then be told Oh your referral is out of date. You arent covered. Do you wanna pay out of pocket? Claimed they didnt know about it until now. When pointed out they should have, they then claimed they never knew who my insurance was through. When told THAT was not true because my insurance paid for my last visit, they claimed they didnt have a copy of my card. When my wife pointed out THAT was a lie because we could clearly see the photocopy of my card in the file she had open, she closed it quickly and said All I can tell you is you dont have a referral for today Whataya wanna do? Drove over an hour to get here. Waisted time, gas and money. Would never recommend. Absolutely abysmal.

I’ve been a patient here for years, I usually have zero problems when I come here. Usually the staff is exceptionally friendly & I love Dr. Geurkink.I came in recently to pick up my contacts & mind you it wasn’t busy at all. There were no patients anywhere. I came in and there wasn’t a, “hello” or anything welcoming.When I walked up to the front desk, they didn’t ask me how they could help me. One of the receptionist was on her phone & just looked at me. The older one assisted me. I told them I came to pick up my contacts. The lady brought it out to me and told me it there was about a $200 copay. She didn’t check my insurace or even looked into the system. I usually pay zero dollars in copay.I ALMOST paid the copay but then I asked if my insurace didn’t go through with it. She then goes on the computer for a minute and what do you know??? my insurace pays for all of it. ZERO COPAY. They almost charged me $200 worth of contacts that should’ve been $0.THIS SPEAKS VOLUMES. Please, train your employees better. I love being a patient here. And this should not be a problem.

Adam recently fitted me for some new Scleral contacts for kertaconus that I’ve had for 25 or more years. I am seeing 20/20 for the first time in 3 decades. He is one of the best Doctors, regardless of practice, that walks the planet. Phenomenal demeanor and I love their staff. The guy hasn’t aged in 30 years and is the only thing I can harp on and I’m jealous.

Best optical experience Ive ever had. They are quick yet thorough! And the finished product is amazing. The most exact eye prescription Ive ever had!

Great place to get your vision exam. Everyone is extremely friendly and knowledge of the exam & products. Opens on Saturday is a plus to pick up your order.

Dr. Geurkink is an amazing man. He has been my eye doctor for a decade. He is a strong Christian man who shows his genuine care for his patients. The receptionists always remember your name (without looking at a file) and are very generous. I would not want to go anywhere else. They just moved to a new beautiful location which is also a big plus. I highly recommend them.

Love this doc and his staff. Ten year patient so I think bad reviewer mistook for another place. Ive always gotten an appointment quickly, been treated with respect, and dealt with very knowledgeable and kind staff

The best experience I have ever had at an Optometrists office. Dr. Geurkink was incredibly thorough, patient, informative and kind. His staff is excellent as well. I highly recommend them!

This has been my first experience with norman eye associates. I wound up needing new lenses because the bifocal was a little off but they made it all good as quickly as they could.

Dr Geurkink is great. Calm, patient, and knowledgeable. He will take the time to answer and explain all your questions - and never makes you feel rushed.

Each visit with Dr. Geurkink and his staff has been pleasant. Dr. Geurkink is patient, kind and takes the time to listen to questions and concerns. Katie, who works in Dr. Geurkinks office, is always extremely cordial and knowledgeable. The office staff always return calls promptly. In the many years that I have been to Dr. Geurkink, only one time did I have a problem with a pair of glasses, and it was a defect in one of the lenses. The problem was addressed and resolved promptly, and the staff took care of everything for me.

Dr Guerkink and his associates are very caring. I trust my eyes to be well taken care of.

I have been going to Dr. Geurkink for about 18 years. After that long you would expect something minor to have happened but no, I have never had a mishap and never been treated rudely. The only thing I couldve have said was grow and make your selection larger and they have recently done that. New and bigger location. I will probably continue to see Dr. Geurkink until he retires.

The first two words to describe the experience here is unknowledgeable and rude. I expect a level of professionalism from places like this, especially if there was a mistake on their part. Instead, I was made to feel like I was stupid and frankly became scared to walk in there again when I needed too. I was told my old lenses were wrong and these new ones were right after informing them that my vision wasnt quite right. My eyes hurt and my vision was fuzzy. They had no clue what I was talking about and insisted my old lenses were the problem. Funny. Visiting another place, they knew exactly what the problem was. Not only this but the main receptionist is more than your typical dumb blonde. Its on another level. I have been in there countless times in a short time span and she never remembered who I was. Its no wonder I dont recall seeing other patients in the waiting room. They all I knew what I didnt. There is no positive recommendation here, very unprofessional and disappointing.

My experience was a very pleasant one.
