I had a bad staff experience my first time there but I convinced myself to believe it was just an off day. I also had my glasses over prescribed but they made sure to get me in again and tried to fix the error. Still not the best, but I’m tired of going in and out. When I went in to get my glasses they were super friendly and efficient. With Covid going on currently, they are cautious with protecting you and themselves by having you wait in your car. Theyll come put and temp you and when you go in theyll ask you to wash your hands. While I was there the sanitized everything I touched shortly after I had left from that spot. Definitely recommend them for your eye needs.

My wife and I have worn glasses since we were kids. To say we are experienced shoppers would be an understatement. The customer service demonstrated at Classic Vision sets them apart. I have used Dr Smith and Dr Spencer and they are both very thorough with your exam. They answer any questions or concerns that you might have. They do not push to sell you new frames if you already have what you need. The office personnel is very friendly and helpful. I have used the Noble and Norman office and happy with both.

I had to use this company because of my insurance. They made my glasses wrong twice and when I took a new prescription they wanted me to sign a form saying they were not responsible if the glasses were not correct. I went to another optical shop and even without insurance to cover the cost, the glasses I ordered (lenses only) were less than what Classic Vision charged me (also lenses only) to make the other ones incorrectly!!! Never go to these people if you have a complicated prescription!!!

Great customer service! They take their time with each customer, help them choose glasses that fit the face and look stylish, review your insurance info in a way that is easily understood, and make choosing glasses (or contacts) a good experience.I would never go anywhere else!

I had been using a different eye doctor and was not happy with the office staff so I decided to try Classic Vision. I am so glad I did. Dr Spencer and her staff were wonderful. Dr Spencer listened to me and was not making me feel rushed like most doctors do. I have a RP (an eye disease) and Dr Spencer listened to my concerns about my vision and went over all my options. The office staff were very friendly and helpful which was so nice which was completely different of the staff at my former eye doctor who made you feel like you were a nuisance for doing anything. I will always use Classic Vision now.

I always love going here. The entire front desk staff is always so friendly and Dr. Spencer is hands down my favorite eye doctor. I have a lot of stuff going on with my eyes and she never makes me feel rushed and always pay attention to me and my issues. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a new eye doctor.

Classic Vision has the best eye dr and staff! Im new to Norman. They are so nice and helpful. Last year, a different eye dr couldnt get my vision corrected properly for contacts. After 3 months and countless trial scripts, I gave up. Dr. Spencer got it perfect in the follow up visit with a minor tweak in the script! I would recommend them to anyone.

We have a special needs child and made the receptionist aware when I made the appointment. The COVID rules in place clearly state that special needs children are exempt from wearing mask, which we support as we ourselves wear mask. Our daughter normally wears a mask, but do to some breathing issues she cannot wear one long term.Long story short, my wife and my daughter were not seen at all and sent away.We will be seeking a new office that understands and will work with us to see my daughter.ADDING TO THEIR RESPONSE: Your response below is very inaccurate as no one has made one attempt to call or make any contact with us so please stop with the lies. In addition, I am the one who called to make the appointment and made the individual who answered the phone very aware that we had a special needs non verbal daughter. I even reiterated this information when they called the day prior.My wife did indeed walk out, but only after being told that they could not see my daughter, so I hardly feel that we are missing out. Childrens Eye Care in OKC has stated that they can and will accommodate my daughters needs.

SLOWWWW! Every visit before and during COVID. It took 3 months to get my glasses. It took 20 minutes just to get my prescription while waiting in the parking lot. The eye exam was good. The front help was not.

My visit to Classic Vision in Norman this morning was first rate from check-in to check-out. The eye exam was quick and pleasant. I played the “pitiful me” card when it came time to pick out my glasses and got great help. Definitely a 5-star visit for me.

My eye doctor was amazing, very friendly and professional. I would recommend her professional services to everyone. Now...why I am giving 4 stars is based on the cleanliness of the office. Being a manager I notice details. The trashes were all overflowing and the bathroom sink hadnt been wiped off in days. Christmas decor was still up..i dont know who is responsible for these things but should be as important to customers satisfaction as a good eye exam. But I will definitely be back due to the awesome doctor.

Excellent service, and the office is very clean and updated. This was my first visit, as my vision insurance had changed. Dr Spencer was awesome, and the whole visit was quick and headache free. She gave me a trial pair of contacts to try out before I place an order for new contacts for a year supply. I will definitely be returning for years to come!

This place was legitimately the best ever. I lost my contacts early that morning (and Im not from the area) found the nearest eye doctor and luckily it was these guys. They got me in and with limited wait time/questioning, they got me examined, got me a whole new supply of contacts and a new pair of glasses (ordered) for super cheap. I had the pleasure of visiting Classic Vision in Norman for my annual check-up. Unfortunately my previous eye doctor was unable to provide for me and my family. I was skeptical of visiting a new place however Classic Vision was a very pleasant experience. The building is easy to find and has proper parking space. I was welcomed by friendly front desk techs and had to wait no more than 15 mins to be seen by the doctor. The staff kindly cleaned my glasses while I was waiting. I was seen by Dr. Smith who was very informative and efficient which I really appreciate. Excellent experience! Some optometrist rush through the exam, but not Classic Vision. We moved back to Norman from Dallas/Fort Worth and we were looking for a great local optometrist and we found Dr. Spencer. My wife and I will be going back every year. Their frames and lens selection is excellent too! They also accept Davis Vision insurance, which most places only work with VSP, so that was a huge selling point.

We highly recommended Classic Vision in Norman Oklahoma. The store is located in a nice area and convenient location right off I-35 and easy to find. The staff is well trained, courteous, efficient and helpful. The doctors were very personable and proficient.

I got my 7 month old sons eyes checked today, and it was much more painless than I expected. Its a very well run office, and it always feels like a family centered environment.

***Update 11/2: About a month ago, I had the experience I described below. Wanted to update my experience with them. I received a phone call from the office manager the day after this happened. She apologized for the situation that arose the day before and was very gracious toward me. By the end of the call we were able to laugh about it and everything has been resolved. Today, I received a phone call from Dr. Smith who was checking in to make sure everything was going well. He is so kind and reminded me that they do want to make sure that folks are receiving the best care possible and reiterated that they were sorry for what had happened. Having worked in a client-oriented profession for many years, I understand how difficult it can be to reach out to folks who you didnt have a stellar interaction with and wanted to note how much I appreciate that extra effort to touch base. If you are looking for a clinician who truly values his patients, Dr. Smith is definitely for you!Dr. Smith is great but his office staff is not very friendly. I was displeased with the quality the lab had done on my lenses and asked that they be fixed. The office manager and another girl went our of their way to prove to me that they were the same as the last lenses that were in it by putting the old ones in and making me try them on. They then proceeded to get the lenses mixed up between the old and the new and I have no idea what I will be picking up when I return to get them next week.have been using Classic Vision for more than ten years and really like Dr. Smith, but I have zero tolerance for people who work in a service profession and bully the clientele.

It was a great experience! I am a diabetic and it is very important to get my eyes checked. Dr. Smith was very professional took me step by step on where I as at with my eyes. Loved not having to have my eyes dilated! He explains the picture they take of your eyes it was really interesting. Due to being a diabetic I have to go back in 3 months definitely will not miss that appointment!

I am editing this review out of respect for Dr. Smith because he is a really great optometrist. But I really did not care for the way the optician handled the sales part of the glasses and lens. I was always willing to pay more for the glasses I picked out at Classic Vision because of the quality of other services I received there but after getting the final bill this last time and examining the add-ons that werent fully explained to me (in my opinion), I felt the same way I do after dealing with car salesmen.

I cannot speak highly enough about Classic Vision! I woke up with an eye injury and they were able to take me in and treat me immediately. The receptionist was kind enough to call me back before the office even opened. Dr. Spencer is amazing! She diagnosed me and had me back to work in no time. Dr. Spencer and Dr. Smith coordinated to take care of my follow up visits. Both were very compassionate and thorough!

Been going to Dr. Smith for several years and have had a consistently good experience. He takes time to answer all my questions and is very friendly. Once there was an issue with my new lenses not cut to the correct prescription, so the lenses were sent back to the lab with no hassle or problems. (When they came back, the new lenses were perfect.) Highly recommend.

This buisness is amazing. Every member on staff greeted me with a warm smile when I showed up for my appointment (which was also VERY easy to make and did not take forever to get into). Last year I was referred to this office by my insurance and honestly didnt put too much thought into it... which I think is why I was so overly pleased with my results! Ive been coming to Classic vision for 5+ years now. They always have such a welcoming staff and Dr. Smith is very descriptive when explaining what he is doing. I highly recommend this office!

I wear glasses every waking moment of the day. To the extent that they can be an extension of my person, they are the closest I can get to acquiring bionics and fulfilling a childhood fantasy of being some sort of cyborg or superhuman. Weaknesses eradicated by the advancement of technology and all of that fantastical philosophical questions that make life interesting for something that is truly boring and can serve the basis for childhood petty insults.When I arrived in Norman for law school, my vision was already mediocre to say the least. After countless hours reading case books and cases on monitors, it was obvious that my vision was struggling again and the search for a doctor who could provide me a decent enough prescription began. Like Indiana Jones looking for the Lost Ark, I started hunting around and stumbled upon Dr. Smith and Classic Vision. That first appointment told me I had found what I was looking for. I’m not a medical person. Biology was on par with English classes for me; a good place for me to doodle, not pay attention. But Dr. Smith would walk me through what was happening with my vision and explain why they were happening, what to expect in the future with my vision, and how to help minimize some of the strain. (Apparently, bionic eyes need lubrication so eye drops are a must.)We spent what was probably an excessive amount of time for him trying to make sure my prescription was correct and that I could see well. It was the type of bedside manner doctors are not known for, because it was wonderful. It wasn’t sterile or generic. It was specific to me and practical. It was advice from someone wanting you to find value in your visit, because he knows you don’t really want to lose your vision. It’s just something that happens to you and you have to deal with it, but that doesn’t mean it has to be unpleasant. It’s a good philosophy he puts into practice, not just espouses.Fortunately, that carries over to the rest of the staff within his office. Each of the lovely ladies running the front, sizing your frames, and helping you pick the special features of your lenses are informative, friendly, and considerate. The phone will ring consistently while you are there, but you won’t feel like you are second to the phone beyond, the moment they take to ask the person on the line to “please hold.” You matter to the entire staff and it shows in how you are treated.If you ask for their honest opinion how you look in the frames you are considering (it’s safe to say many people can use an outsider’s opinion on style and appearance matters), they will tell you yes or no with spirit and honesty. I have had frames recommended to me that cost less than others, because they look better than others for my face and that’s important to me, because it suggests that the dollar isn’t the driving motivator. If you’re going to have fake bionic eyes, they might as well look good right?It’s unfortunate that not all medical visits of some sort aren’t as pleasant, but if you are looking for an optometrist, I completely and whole-heartedly recommend Classic Vision and Dr. Smith for a personal assessment and recommendation of corrective lenses. Be sure to ask questions while there, because they will provide you as much help and care they can, if they know what you are looking for or what concerns you. It’s a safe place where you do not need to worry. Enjoy it.

If I could give a negative star I would. Horrible experience and terrible staff. Dr. Smith is very unprofessional and proved it every time he opened his mouth and gave me his opinion on everything from Walmart eye solution being a bunch of different brands dumped into one bottle, to his so called knowledge that all contacts ordered online, well unless they are 1-800 Contacts, then they are all generic and not real contacts and you are not getting what your prescription really says. He also tried to give me a lesson in taxes! I felt like I had walked into H&R Block while he was lecturing me on penalties that a person can get for not having health insurance. He put contacts in my daughters eyes even after I told him I would only need her prescription. He called me after he found out I was filing a grievance with my insurance company that he so kindly told me while examining my daughter, is not a very good one and he was one of the few that actually accepted it. WOW is all I could think. He talks too much and honestly knows very little about what he is saying. I will not go back. My daughter can not see well out of one of her eyes with his prescription that he prescribed her and now I will be seeing a different eye doctor to get it fixed. Yes I had a follow up appointment for the contact fitting, but after the first experience I had with him and his office, I knew a second one would just be worse. Better off spending my own $ out of pocket then to ever darken his doors again.
