This spa is absolutely lovely, clean and wonderful. Its a special little hidden gem. My friend and I got scalp and body massages, and it was wonderful. They washed our hair and applied awesome Japanese hair and scalp treatments. We felt SO relaxed and comfortable. My friend is pregnant, and they got her extra padding and made sure she was safe and comfy. We thought it was worth the cost, and felt amazing. The ladies were so gentle and kind. They made sure we were comfy, had the right pressure etc. Our hair was SO soft and shiny afterwards too! Well definitely be back!

I really wanted to love this place. Its clean and they had great customer service Ill give them 2 stars for that. I had gel extensions and they started to completely lift the 2nd week. For a $100 nail set I really expected more I was very disappointed.

Love this place! The atmosphere is so relaxing and they do amazing work with all the patience in the world (it took an hour and a half to do the design I wanted). Ive only been here once, but Im definitely coming back. Its been almost 2 weeks since I got my nails done and in that time Ive washed dishes and cleaned the house and my nails still look amazing. Worth every penny!

I only gave it two stars because they were actually good at making anime characters on the nails, but the nail lifting began to occur within a week and they wanted to charge me the same amount I paid to get them done just to fix them. I am bummed out but I won’t be going back.

Found out about this place from my friend, and I love it! The girls are very artistic and can create any picture you show them. My gel lasted longer than 3 weeks :)

Called at 4:45 and they worked me in at 5pm (its a small salon and they take a long time- in a good way- so make an appointment). Yoshi did gel polish with cateye and her work is immaculate.... no streaks, lint, perfect cuticles, nothing lifting. The color wasnt quite right and she insisted on mixing the color by hand to make it match the pic I showed her from instagram. She took well over an hour to do my nails with care. If you dont know, Japanese gels are totally different from traditional gel polish in a nail polish bottle. They come in tiny pots and are painted on with what looks like a small eyeshadow brush. The top coat she applied is semi-rigid and is super glossy. Im sure this manicure will last at least 2-3 weeks. Super impressed with the quality of the service here! Totally recommend. Thanks Yoshi :-) also super clean and attentive to hygiene, especially during COVID times.

I have been looking to get a head/scalp spa treatment for a while. AKYISH has always showed up every time I would search those keywords. I saw in their website that they offer a couple Headspa treatments. I decided to go with the Carbonated scalp care ($45/45 mins). The lady who took my appointment over the phone was very sweet and polite. I really liked that they were open until 7:30 because it works with my 8-5 work schedule. The treatment itself was very relaxing and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs stress relief after a long day. I do suggest to bring your own comb or any hair products to detangle your hair after the treatment. They do have a blow dryer in the restroom and they will offer it to you for use.

$73 for design by Aoi. Aoi is so meticulous with cleaning up my cuticle. She is very gentle and makes good conversation. She explained how I can take my nails off at home or come to the salon whenever. I will be back again

Akyish salon did not stand up to their standards as they advertised. Whoever did my gel manicure was not experienced at all. The nail technician polished my nails so thick I had lumps on all my fingernails, the sides were already lifting, and my cuticles looked terrible! It’s one thing if the owner took interest in my compliant and took care of me professionally, but there were no concerns and they were all rude to me. I will not be going back.

Damn nails came off 3 days after. Never going back. For $125 I was expecting a way better experience. The art was nice but dont get your nails done here, go somewhere else. Ive had my $50 nails from other shops last 2+ weeks before.

Unbelievable mani pedi - so peaceful, so clean, such gentle massage and the job was super professional. Will definitely be my go to place in Houston for safe and gorgeous nails. They also do head massages and foot reflexology. By appointment only!

Relaxing and low-key.I felt instantly in the company of friends when I stepped into Akyish. Everyone was kind and welcoming.Yosi was gentle with my manicure and did an exceptional job. She has an eye for detail and is an artist. She meticulously made sure the gel was applied properly and hand drew the design for accent.

$60 for a gel pedicure is a LOT especially if there is no massage or anything extra. They literally give a very basic pedicure. Plus there was a curing issue with my last pedicure that lead to an hour of trying to fix it. The bench you sit on is very uncomfortable. They start your hands while getting a pedicure. It is not relaxing at all. You feel like you are just being hurried out. Plus a $10 charge to remove THEIR polish. Never getting a pedicure from there AGAIN. There are only ever 2 people working at a time. Having to wait until after 2:30 to get in to get my nails done everytime. As this is the only nail salon I have found that offers the hard gel wrap. The hard gel I feel is pricey but as it is the only place that does it they can charge what they want. But after getting it done 3x, it may not be worth the $$$ and the 45 min drive.
