The staff obviously care about ensuring that clients leave the premises rejuvenated and satisfied. I have appreciated that therapists have been attentive to my needs. I had a reservation set for 3, myself and my two daughters for mothers day weekend. My oldest daughter went first and was very pleased and extremely relaxed when she was done. However my massage was at 3pm and by 3:20pm someone came to let me know that the person that was supposed to be taking care of me and my younger daughter was unable to be reached. I am not holding anything against them. People are so unreliable these days. Anyway the gentleman who took care of me was amazing!!!!. I would highly recommend and would absolutely be back. I told my massage therapist, Vanessa, that it was my first experience and I wasnt sure to expect. She was so comforting and made sure to explain the process. Plan extra time for parking as this place is inside the court of an apartment complex with other businesses onsite. The spa has an online client profile form which was completed but didnt save for one guest in our party, so we waited for the receptionist to try to find it via her system. The paper form and locker area issue with code caused a delay start time to our massages. The locker area is very small, but it works ok; more than 3 people in the locker area and its too crowded. The individuals that gave massage and facial treatments were professional and good in their respective positions. I would visit this location again because of the experience I received from the masseuse and ethnitician.

I have been a member at hiatus for a few months. Every time I come in they ask if I’m new. The service is fine and prices are good. I enjoyed going until pregnancy when I was treated badly by one of their front desk staff. I’m newly pregnant and am unable to do most of their services based on their protocols which I was not informed of when booking. While I was processing the rude treatment and shopping to spend my credit money, someone walked in and they told her she could have my appointment while I was in the lobby. Which was somewhat embarrassing and made me feel ashamed. I will be cancelling my membership and consider rejoining post pregnancy.

2nd time going in over 5 yeats and I loved my experience, so I signed up for a membership and so did my sister and her husband.

The facial was 5 stars & the pedi was 2 stars. I would give it an overall 3.5 stars. The facial was AMAZING. Very relaxing. THE BEST facial I’ve ever had. The pedi honestly was the WORST pedi I’ve ever had! You can go to ANY of the Asian nail shops and get a waaaaaayyy better pedi for much cheaper. The environment of the building itself was very nice and all of the employees were nice and friendly!

Facial was good, relaxing and the technician Sarah was very kind and helpful. The front ladies however, their service was not that great. My friend and I made an appointment and after driving nearly an hour, she was told that her appointment was cancelled. I was then told that if I wanted to reschedule, I would have to pay $50. They were unable to give us a name of the employee who cancelled my friends appointment and basically stated there was nothing they could do for us. My friend ended up rescheduling for an hour later since we spent a long time driving to get there. By the time I was changed and ready to go, I only was able to utilize 30 mins out of my 60 mins facial. Not worth the trouble to go here again. And definitely not worth the unhelpful attitudes from the employees up front.

I try to avoid this, but I have to make a negative post about a business. I can no longer recommend Hiatus Spa Houston or any of their branches. This business reached out to members asking us to continue monthly support for them through COVID - which I did - and is now punishing us for the privilege.When COVID hit, Hiatus advised our member credits would not expire during the pandemic. They offered to suspend accounts but asked members to continue if possible to support the staff. I did because supporting each other is what we do in a pandemic.*With no notice* they changed their policy at the beginning of the year and expired all credits! I only found out when I logged into to check something. They have a normal process to reinstate these (Ive used it before) but it is truly devious to expire everything without any warning,Secondly, despite it being the worst pandemic spike yet in Houston, they wont allow us to use credits to purchase gifts cards for future service. Im not vaccinated and avoiding risk for reasons. I wanted to buy gift cards for others to use when the pandemic has calmed down or who are lower risk (e.g., vaccinated). This is giving them potential new customers - its purely to their benefit, and zero benefit to me (cash out my door).An extensive call provided no good resolution. They refused to budge, politely of course. They will only allow credits to be used for services or products. Even buying a specific service for someone has a day pass cost - which they also refuse to take out of credit (seriously!). You cant even order the products online with your credits. You have to call to order, and come pick them up in person - because additional contact in the worst pandemic spike yet is a good thing. The only offer was to waive the reinstatement fee.I supported Hiatus and their staff. They choose to deviously change policies and hold my funds hostage. Like they say, no good deed goes unpunished. Needless to say, after I cash out my credits on my products I wont be doing any business with them again.

I had the best experience at Hiatus Spa in Houston. I recently moved to Houston and wanted to find a nice spa I could go to and I definitely did. I had the one and only mani and pedi with Nadia and it was amazing. After moving all week I needed relaxation. I will definitely be back!

I love this spa. I feel so relaxed every time that I am here. The spa is very clean unlike the other chained spa. Overall experience is excellent in affordable price. Cheryl is the best massage therapist and this is from a massage therapist myself. The way she gives you a massage is very unique and relaxing without feeling hurt at all. I highly recommend her to everyone but you need to book an appointment with her as she has very busy schedule ‘cuz everyone loves her.

Very average gel manicure, I’ve been to better places. The person doing my manicure was very cold, didn’t smile and her mask covered her mouth but not her nose. She was not friendly at all. She addresses my concerns and suggests different masks for my facial based on how my skin is looking and feeling that month. In addition to her skin magic powers she has the most wonderful aura and is a such a positive light in the world. I soak it all up when I see her. This was an amazing spa. It was the full white robe spa experience and was a true treat. I had Pogge as my massage therapist and she took great care from my finger tips to my toes. Wonderful experience from start to finish! The inviting, calming, relaxing atmosphere was just what I needed after a long work week. To say my therapist, Cathryn was amazing would be an understatement. I literally feel like I was there for four hours when only it was an hour massage. Cathryn did some sort of Houdini time warp!! I just booked an appointment for my best friend and I to get massages facials and manicures. Im counting down the days to my next visit. I was in Houston for a company event. One of the excursions offered was a massage at Hiatus. I could not have been more impressed. The experience was outstanding. I have been to a number of spas over the years. Hiatus takes everything up a notch. From the well trained staff to the heated massage oil to the hot towels to the foot bath and beyond. Travina provided an excellent massage .Casey at the front desk went out of his way to accommodate our large group of type A personalities! We are not an easy group to wrangle, but did it with patience and grace.A total customer experience!

His pressure was spot on. Dan truly has an art and knowledge of the muscles in your body, something that I have never quite experienced before. I have had quite a few facials over the years at various locations and they’re always nice but I never think they leave a lasting difference in my skin. However, two weeks ago I had a facial with Sarah at Hiatus and my skin STILL looks glowing and fresh. I highly recommend Sarah and Hiatus!

This was my second visit and I must say, it never ceased to impress me! This place was recommended by a colleague and have been raving about this place so I tried it and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve had Michelle both times and she’s truly amazing! I’ve tried so many places and even expensive ones, but never really go back to those places as I didn’t really feel the kind of energy that I felt when I first walked into Hiatus. I felt relaxed and comfortable when I came here and I’m not exactly sure why! But, it just does. Every one I have encountered at this place so far, have been really nice and helpful. Besides that they just need to keep an eye out for their items to be stocked, this place is very clean and I really love coming here. I just wish some people that come here are a little more aware of their voices as it is a place to “relax” and “unwind” a little. Their membership is also very “customer-friendly” meaning, they are very flexible unlike other spa places. You’re not tied-up with a contract or anything. It is transferrable to your friends or family as well! I’ll definitely keep coming here and will surely recommend this place to my friends.

Fine nothing special

I dont complain, but if Im spending 440 dollars on a service, I simply expect what I paid for. I was forced to pay for an hour massage when only recieved about 20 mins, and I was forced to pay 220 dollars for 2 basic manicures and pedicures. When I asked for a discount I was met with a big negative from a highly rude and condescending manager. I wish I could give them negative stars. Not only will I never go back I want to warn everyone of how horrible they are! Find ANYWHERE else!

I purchased a Groupon for their couples massage service and I’ve called numerous times and left messages and no one has called me back. I am constantly calling in hopes of getting someone on the phone but still no luck. I plan on stopping by this week to find out why their customer service is so bad and get a refund.

Great body treatments and massages, however the nail service was not that good. The nail polish was applied poorly, and the whole session was a mess. The lady was sweet, however it had nothing to do with quality of service, which by the way was very expensive! ($69+tip) Our reservations were a little bit messed up as well, for ex. the nail service was scheduled right before the body treatment ( which is not acceptable if you would like to keep your pedicure without messing up your toes) The administrative organization was not the best. For ex., due to being misinformed, I decided to cancel some service. I did not want my guest to wait for me, however then I was immediately told that I would pay some cancellation fees. I think it is just not right, particularly when this mistake was made by one of the team members. It seems to me that this place is more interested in getting paid rather than acting in the best interest of their clients. The entire time I felt more tensed than relaxed.

I go here often and always go to Carla; her energetic and soothing personality make the experience so memorable! Highly recommend choosing Carla.

Are you paying a membership at a strip mall massage place? No judgement, but for the same price you can be treated way better! Tucked in a little apartment/shopping complex on San Felipe, this is truly a hidden gem (well it was for me!). After check in you are taken to the locker room where you change into a robe and slippers then to the tranquility room where you can have tea and infused water while you wait. The therapists there are all amazing! Pro tip: get the Groupon and after using it they will waive the membership ship admin fee if you join!

I bought a 60 minute massage and they made me do 10 min of paperwork and wait another 5-10 minutes for the therapist which in turn meant that my massage was cut short over 20 minutes. Ridiculous. Would never go back

I had my Mani and pedí done by Amy and it was amazing. I really cant have my feet touched but Amy made my experience great and was able to have my feet done without an issue. I would recommend Amy Ozuna for your service. Great place!!!!

This place is amazing even though I had to call twice because the first time I called to schedule a double message the rep was rude and was not interested in helping me. But i called the next day someone answered and it was great. Maybe the rep was having a bad day I’m glad I called them again. Amazing I had another issue with another rep. Im so glad I found this place via Groupon! I purchased a Kindred Spirits couples massage for my boyfriend and I to de-stress after the holidays. And the entire experience was amazing!After completing our profiles and outlining our massage preferences we were led to the changing rooms to change into their robes and slippers. The changing rooms are beautiful and complete with secure lockers, clean showers, and all the products youll need to refresh yourself after your massage. Tea and fruit infused ice water are available while you wait for your therapist to prepare the room for your services.We were greeted by our massage therapists and led to our room which was dimmed for relaxation and smelled lovely. We opted for the foot soak to begin and were offered 3 scents to choose from. I liked how they explained what scent we chose and which chakra it was linked to. The massage.....oh my god.....the massage was amazing. My therapist Tytiana had magic hands!! I left feeling extremely relaxed and rejuvenated.While checking out I even purchased some of the calming oil with the $20 credit I had with the Groupon so I could try to hold on to the zen as long as I could. But I have a feeling I will have to make this a regular thing because it was that wonderful.

Eboni ensured I had an amazing spa experience and an escape from real life! I walked in and was greeted with a warm cup of delicious tea and was led to the changing area to get into my robe and slippers and waited about 5 minutes in the relaxation room for my aesthetician. Then I got a nice foot wash and scrub and laid in the warm bed to get ready for my facial. I opted to use all Aveda products and enjoyed the aromatherapy. My facial left my skin glowing and I felt like a brand new woman! Yall go book an appointment with her you wont regret taking some time to yourself and escaping from real life for a bit!

It seems to be a common practice from this place to advertise on groupon and then cancel, giving the same excuse to different costumers, just read the reviews!!! If they dont want to honor the grupon dont advertise on it!!!! 11 months ago someone was giving the same excuse we were given. Someone called in and we dont have anyone to fill in.

Dafne is my also one of my best massage therapists- she always provides with with and excellent, relaxing massage/cranio-sacral therapy after which I feel regenerated! Had a fabulous couples massage here yesterday. A full 60 minutes of heaven each, my husband upgraded to a head massage aswell and I tried the hot stones. Wow !! Great facilities, changing rooms with lockers to store your valuables. Showers included robes, slippers and towels. Shampoo, conditioner and bodywash free to used aswell as other hair & body products. Chill out room for before and after your appointment. I got a Groupon voucher which included a $20 credit on a product so I purchased some bath saltsMonthly membership is available at $69 per month.Free parking in the parking lot.We will definitely be going back. 💖

My husband and I were gifted a couples massage at Hiatus Spa by our daughter.We are frequent users of massage services. However, we usually go to Mokra Spa.We arrived early and filled out the required medical history. There was also a card to list our preferences in the strength of our massage and places we would like them not to massage. I checked Light massage and asked not to have my face or hair touched. I also wrote that I would like extra attention paid to my feet as I have arthritis. Well, it’s obvious they do not read the card or listen to the client when I verbally repeated the requests on the card. NEVER PUT LIGHT AD YOUR MASSAGE STRENGTH!! I got an hour of light tickeling. And two minutes spent tickeling my feet. No massage what so ever! My spouse put medium strength and his therapist hurt him. He voiced his pain and it was like she didn’t care. He listed not to have his hair touched and she massaged oil all over it during a head massage. We will not return and will recommend our friends go to Mokra.This place needs better massage therapists. Ours were Sarah and Jennifer. They need to learn to read the client cards and LISTEN to them when they verbally tell you their preferences. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !On a positive note, the spa was nicely decorated.

I really wish I could give this place a better review. For starters my fiance booked this appointment as surprise for my birthday. I receive a message a day before the appointment to confirm it. SURPRISE ruined! He called to make a complaint, but no manager was on duty and he never got a call back. When I get there, I fill out the card for what I want done on my massage & anything extra so I checked for some extra stuff. Which I did not receive, so instead they added it to my mani & pedi. The massage person & mani pedi lady were GREAT. BUT they very next day, my polish was coming right off my nails and bubbling up. Mind you I dont wash dishes all day or clean so there was no excuse. It was 69 + tip......

Unfortunately this review is not a great one compared to the rest. I had heard great things about this place and the reviews on here proved it. I was certainty not expecting what happened to me. I bought a couples massage package from Groupon and made my appointment days prior to the actual day of the service. I was told to show up at least 30 min prior to the massage to be able to relax. The day of the service was our 1 year anniversary for my husband and I. This was a surprise for him. But the surprise in the end was for me. I was contacted 30 min prior to the scheduled time to inform me that our massage was being cancelled due to of the masseuses calling in that morning. I was offered to reschedule the appointment or have a mani pedi instead of the massage. I was very upset because our day had been partially ruined. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was no manager on staff at the moment but I would soon get a call back. I never received a call back, I had to contact the facility 3 times that day and was told someone would get back to me the next day. I contacted Groupon and they refunded my money. The owner of the spa contacted me a day later and all she said was sorry, they are a new facility and therefore did not have on call staff for when someone called in. Very disappointed in this place, the customer service failed and when confronted all they had to give was a weak excuse for their faulty service. I truly hope no one else has to go through this and specially on a special day like we did.

Called during 3 times during normal business hours. Finally didn’t get an answering machine after the third try. I then waited on hold, to book an app for well over 10 min- so I decided to hang up

Masseuse disregarded my written instructions that were solicited from me, was not as advertised eg. a deep tissue massage, old bandaids in bathroom, no body wash soap, advertised a stream shower that was out of order.

Amazing place to go there I felt very spoiled there.
