When I go to the St. Vincents off Collins by BJS I never have a long wait time. The uses are always professional even though I could hear frustration in some they still never made me feel what their day was like. Ms. Jill I had the pleasure of having her as a nurse twice she was compassionate, very patience, I can keep going but Ill sum it up by saying she wears her heart on her sleeve and nursing was definitely her calling. The radiologist team very professional and thorough. Dr. Humphries I had the please of having a few times he is a great doctor. Will listen and explain even with examples. He does not medicate just because he does not run unnecessary test just because I experienced this just Sunday morning. He is by far one of the best knowledgeable doctors Ive come across at St. Vincents. Id much rather go to Collins ER before going to any other st. Vincents the service just isnt the same.

Went to the ER today. Told her it might be a slipped disc a buldging disc or my SI rotated out. This is the 6th time over quite a few years this has occurred (last was 2019) typically go to Chiro to put back in place. Since it is randomly recurring, probable slipping, I figured I’d try to seek actual resolution this time.Staff was nice enough. Definite Covid exposure possibilities in shared ER rooms. The Dr (she) did not tell me that they can’t do MRI. She did an X-ray and then said X-ray doesn’t see discs and they don’t do MRI there. What was the point of me risking exposure to Covid and paying out more in co-pay than an urgent care if an ER won’t do an MRI unless you’re admitted and won’t admit you if you are walking (albeit in severe pain and awkwardly but walking none the less). Absolutely crazy to think it could be a slipped disc or buldging or prolapsed or worse yet a pinned nerve or blood vessel, in addition to, that could cause a clot but hey, who cares right(?) They give you pain meds and send you home to follow up later. As if later is convenient. I don’t need pain meds, I need imaging and the ability to walk without absolute debilitating pain - If anything serious is found in MRI (when I get one ordered) be certain I will seek legal counsel for discharging me without needed imaging. (you do have CTin the emergency room) Also to the doctor on staff today - when one finds the least painful position they typically appear quite “comfortable” until they move.Unacceptable pill mill of a hospital. To note: I am a working professional despite my tattoos and yet I am always treated poorly in Jacksonville hospitals because of my tattoos. Unacceptable. *update- 24hrs out from my visit and I can’t feel hot water with my fingers. Nearly burned my nose with my rinse. Not good.

I’m giving this hospital a one star review simply because Dr. Jordan Farr was quite possibly the worst doctor I’ve ever encountered. Unfortunately, Dr. Farr seems to have forgotten the Hippocratic oath, specifically the parts about caring adequately and compassionately for the sick, not as numbers in a chart but as holistic human beings with complex personhoods. Dr. Farr treated me like an annoyance, with very little regard for my history and the full context and details of my illness. Dr. Farr should rethink whether the medical vocation, one that fundamentally involves caring, is right for him. This aside, the hospital was clean and orderly, but I won’t seek medical care here again.

In the last six months, I have updated my insurance’s policy number over 10 times with this hospital. I have done this over the phone(with managers), in person with over 5 different registration desks attendants (at appointments and when checking in the emergency room), and even over email. every time i do this I am assured it has been updated. days later,it reverts back to the old policy number. This has cost me hours in time and hassle dealing with bills from this hospital and their affiliates that get denied because they are filing the claims under the wrong policy number. Im from Texas and so I called this hospital at 7 in the morning to see about getting treatment for a possible std. Was told to come in and I would be able to get that service provided. I did come in and gave my information, registered myself as instructed, and gave urine sample to them. Another hour went by and then I was called to the back for what I thought was going to be treatment and service for possible std. That was not the case, the staff member told me, once I was in my own room that I would not be treated because they did not test for std at this hospital and I couldnt be treated for something that they could not definitively say was pain from an std. I continued to listen and responded by letting him know what I had gone through to get here and told him about my conversation. I was completely transparent with hospital and giving my information but the same was not given to me, I felt dismissed and abandoned left in the condition I came in. Very unacceptable treatment and I also was by passed by other patients that came after me, even though I reported my pain at the most pain being a 10. I was told that I would have to wait until Wednesday for an affiliated clinic that handles std testing and treatment, which really depressed and blindsided me. Ultimately, I made enough noise and they agreed to give me a treatment that was specific to any std I was experiencing. Overall, I believe I may have been discriminated against due to my medical condition and this does not make me feel better as a person with an afflicting disease that could have passed it to someone else. This should never be a case in 2021 where patients, with or without insurance are denied but I even think it could have been racial because the patients that were permitted before me that came after were not black.

It didnt hurt when you examined my very swollen and bruised elbow. Being in such a rush, the provider never mentioned she was prescribing a muscle relaxer... had I known, I would have requested something other than cyclobezaprine as it gives me RLS.Also, youre a freaking medical facility... why are your people ... medical people, custodial people, security guard... either not wearing masks or wearing them below their noses???Do better, people. I the got in the bed and waited for the doctor. She came in and checked my vitals and breathing then said she wanted to check me for xray.Another lady took me for xray, where I was forcibly shoved up against the machine like an animal being treated horribly.Once finished they took me back to the room where the Dr confirmed I had phenonia and prescribed me meds and sent me on my way home to get prescriptions filled.I must say people/humans do not deserve to be treated with such lack of care like animals. If this was one of there family members I bet the outcome would have been so different!Im not sure who reads these surveys, but I truly hope someone does something to make a difference. They failed to do a urinary test during the visit even though we mentioned 3 kidneys. They left ekg sticky pads on her. On the other hand, she is very nauseous when she sees her own blood and heavily anxious with Aspergers. So the nurse was great. She only had to stick her once for blood work and knew to dim the lights to help her calm down after. I think my wife may have kicked her. The emergency room doctor didnt listen to half of what I had to say so when I got admitted I had a horrible experience and my heater was on in my room and nobody could seem to figure out why it was so hot so I literally sweated to death for the first two days I was in the hospital horrible experience!!!

The waiting room was half full and still took 3 hours to get called back. I felt bad for the people who had been there before and were still waiting after me. My pain level with a stuck kidney stone was at 8. My blood pressure was dangerously high from the pain. No one checked on me in those three hours. If I asked I was rudely told to sit and wait my turn. Lady at the desk was reading her book the entire time and rolled her eyes at people when they asked questions. Once I was called back I didn’t see a nurse for 40 minutes. I had a shared room. So I had to discuss my private medical details with others listening. The nurse tried to get an IV twice and blew the vein both times leaving me with lumps and horrible painful bruising. My roommate got several X-rays. My nurse who was by my bed wore a shield and the x ray techs left the room for the buzz but I was left there to be exposed to my roommates radiation with no thought to me.

After I wrote a pleasant review on ER this is my follow-up. I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia-painful debilitating. Im left weeks later with no where or relief in site. Never got an referral for Neurologist as Stated.Got one on my own for a month out. Im in terrible pain, eating only baby food, chronic fatigue. My head is screaming! I have insurance 2 of them in fact. Injection in joint could have helped condition. But, try getting into a Dr. being a new patient. Feel like Ive been left to die like a animal on the side of Road. Why would Dr. leave me like this? Feel poisoned, cant stay awake except pain wakes me about every 10min.Its 5 months later from getting the JAB and Im still very sick and they just let me go. Id go to Baptist next time for sure. Speech is impaired, along with locked up jaw.

Ive been here a total of 3 times. Everything was great. My only complaint is emergency room check in should be more hippa friendly. I have to tell the people at desk whats wrong with me in front of the whole waiting room. And hear what wrong with others that come in.

I was taken in within a reasonable amount of time. The Dr did testing to rule out serious issues and came up with a diagnosis and care program.
