I had 3 Dental implants performed by Dr Simmons and his staff, they were my first and the experience was wonderful if you can call dental work wonderful. Having never had implants I was a little nervous, but Dr Simmons and his staff explained the entire process and put me at ease. I think that this is a much better alternative to crowns in many cases, all three of mine were teeth that had been crowned in the past and the crowns had finally failed. I am going back this fall for two more where a tooth supporting one end of a bridge has failed, at least I know this will be permanent. Thank you Dr Simmons & staff.

I took my mother for a consult on Monday 9/27. They were suppose to call her in two prescriptions and call her heart dr to see if she could go off plavix for an implant. Never heard back so we called on 10/4 to see when her next appointment was. The woman at the desk acted as though my mother had never been there. No prescription called in and made no contact with heart dr. I felt like we were in twighlight zone. She said the heart dr had not been consulted yet. No consult to see what was needed had been made with mom’s dentist. We’ll be going elsewhere. I bet we’ll get a bill in a timely manner!

Can I give a negative star review?Scheduling issues, poor/rude customer service from the front desk attendant, and no follow up in regards to insurance. Mixed up my appointment and blamed it on me. Absolutely terrible.

Great experience. I had 2 impacted wisdom teeth removed, and I was in and out of the office in 45 minutes. Pain, swelling, and postop bleeding were very minimal and much better than I anticipated. Also had a great experience with the sedation and was not overly groggy for the rest of the day. Additionally, I was able to be worked in the same week I had called due to pain. Dr. Simmons and staff were excellent and would recommend.

Amazing staff that works here, always have been scared of dentist and these offices my whole life, The day prior to the oral surgery I had they laid out a plan of attack per say, which was still uneasy, But came back the following day still a little uneasy just due to me being scared.... This office took care of me and did everything they said to the T the day prior and made me feel totally at ease. Excellent place

I had concerns about the cost vs effectiveness of the suggested treatment plan my dentist wanted Dr. Simmons to do. He validated my concerns and ultimately gave me the confidence I needed to seek out another opinion. I was able to have a different procedure done at half the cost, and went back to Dr.Simmons with the new treatment plan I received for him to preform the needed extractions for me because it meant so much to me for someone to give me their honest opinion instead of one fueled by making a profit off of me. Dr.Simmons helped me get my smile back, and I will forever be grateful.

I went to Dr. Simmons for TMJ. I have been in pain many years and have seen many dentists, oral surgeons and have had many procedures, treatments and meds. Dr. Simmons is the only one whose expertise has resulted in lasting relief for my TMJ, without surgery. Very professional, including staff. Highly recommend. Hes a Godsend.

I was so anxious about having my wisdom teeth taken out at 37 years old but Dr. Simmons was patient and understanding. He took his time and answered all of my questions - made sure I understood what to expect and that I felt comfortable with how he wanted to handle the extraction. The procedure was smooth and as comfortable as it could be and follow up care was also everything I could have hoped for.

After a recommendation from my dentist that I get my wisdom teeth out, I visited OSIA and Dr. Jeff Simmons. During my consultation he was extremely kind and competent, addressed all my concerns, and answered any questions that I had.I had my procedure a few months later and it went better than I could have imagined. I had all four of my impacted wisdom teeth out and was in and out of Dr. Simmons office in about an hour. My husband was amazed! Went this morning to have all my wisdom teeth extracted. Dr. Simmons is fantastic. He really took the time to explain everything to me in the consult and address any concerns I had. Getting teeth removed is never a fun experience, but I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful care of Dr. Simmons and his staff.

I went in to get three wisdom teeth taken out, and was a little nervous about going under for the surgery but Dr. Simmons really helped ease my tension by explaining exactly what they were going to do and what I should expect. He’s really good at talking to people and making them feel comfortable. Not only did he answer all of my questions before the surgery but he stayed in contact with me after my procedure and answered all of my questions about what was hapenning with the healing process. Great guy that really cares about his patients.

Dr Simmons is a great doctor. He is calm and composed. He explains things properly and takes care of you. He had pulled two bottom wisdom teeth one time and remaining upper wisdom teeth another time. Had a wisdom tooth removed 10/9/15 (yesterday) and the procedure was done very effectively. I walked in, the procedure began within five minutes, and everything was done in an extremely professional manner. My wife and two children sat in the lobby and waited, so the receptionist offered to change the programming from adult-oriented shows to childrens movies, and was constantly paying attention to and complimenting our children and their mother. I felt like the doctor and his assistant were very courteous and professional toward me, and while I was able I had good and engaging conversation with them. The post-op instructions were clear and, while not yet fully recovered, I am using a minimum of painkillers, feel the procedure went well, and would recommend this place to anyone!

I went because my regular dentist referred me for a couple wisdom teeth. Two of the teeth are impacted but have never given me any trouble or pain. One of them is not impacted and has gotten infected. After researching online I found that if impacted teeth are not causing pain then its fine to leave them in. When I went to this guy he walked in and wanted me to get the whole shebang done. I politely told him that I didnt want the impacted ones taken out, just the one thats infected. He looked at his assistant with disgust and the face she made was hideous. I instantly knew something was up. I also informed them that my infected tooth was hurting me and that I hadnt had much sleep with it. Since they figured that I wasnt getting everything done to line their wallets, they waved it aside like it didnt matter. Then I really knew these people were just after money when the dentist said that I would need to be PUT TO SLEEP for him to take my infected tooth out. I played his little game and asked really, Ill need to be asleep, why? Will it hurt? Yes, he replied it will hurt bad. This guy wants to put me under Anastasia for a simple extraction which any dentist can preform. This guy doesnt give a dang about his patients if hes willing to add extra risk just for profit. And nothing for the pain not even anti-inflammatory just antibiotic. He didnt even look at my teeth and when I asked him about the price of a dental implant to replace the tooth thats getting pulled he told me $1650. He didnt go over anything about implants, he didnt even show me pictures of them. I guess he assumed that I couldnt afford one. This guy is just after your money. I wouldnt let him operate on my pinky toe.

We have seen Dr. Simmons three times. Once for an impacted tooth and twice for removal of wisdom teeth for both of my daughters. I love this practice. Dr. Simmons is a very knowledgeable, kind, patient and understanding person. He always answered my questions in a way that I could understand. My daughters felt at ease with him. Most specialists lack a good bedside manner, but not Dr. Simmons.All three procedures were different and each time he was considerate in answering my questions and talking us through the process. His team were also very nice and helpful, and always went above and beyond in helping us through the whole process of initial appointment, contacting health insurance, prescriptions and after-care. The office is lovely, and very clean. They have TVs to watch while you wait. As one daughter said immediately after having her wisdom teeth removed...I saw trees, bushes and birds, people arent as fortunate to have a nice view like that, referring to the big picture window with a lovely view that she saw before she went to sleep and as she woke up! We highly recommend OSIA.

I live in Asheville, NC, and the oral surgery here is way over-prieced.I do not have dental insurance and I needed an extraction and an implant. I already had an infection and I was scared. I had never been to Greenville, SC, before, and it was 90 minutes away. I decided to trust and drove there. I have never been happier.I was treated in a very kind and professional manner and the prices were half of what I would have paid here in Asheville. The office had state of the art equipment and the procedure was shorter than any implant I have ever had.My aftercare was superb and I couldnt be happier. I will keep this office for future oral surgery and I highly recommend Dr Simmons. I am very grateful!

My initial consult, I asked to be kept awake (just gas). He insisted I had to be put to sleep and it couldnt be done if I was awake. Day of surgery, I asked again and he kept overriding me saying I had agreed to be put under. Finally agreed to give me awake sedation, with disgust. Also, I have a partial, he told me it wouldnt be an issue. Day of surgery, they handed me back my partial and said go see your dentist to get this redone So now I am missing a couple more teeth (one in front!) until I can get to my dentist.

I would highly recommend OSIA and Dr Simmons for any of your oral surgery needs. Very knowledgeable and does a great job explaining the process. I had an implant done under local anesthesia and felt 0 pain or issues.

I first want to thank that staff for being patient with verifying my insurance information. There was a lot of back and forth phone calls to get the process done. The staff were very nice during to whole process.I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed last Friday. I was nervous because I had never been put to sleep before. I recently relocated from Michigan to Greenville for work and during the move I unfortunately lost my front tooth. I was pleased with the professionalism of an extremely talented person in Dr. Simmons. Having a DMD (and MD) actually spend the extra time to walk me through the entire procedure was unusual. Seems like today many are being pushed to rush to the next patient. Cant say it was enjoyable, but will say I was comfortable and confident that OSAI was the right choice for me.

A huge thank you to this staff and Dr. Simmons. My entire involvement with OSIA was top of the line. Staff extremely helpful. Surgeons very knowledgeable. I felt taken care of the entire way. I had my wisdom teeth taken by Dr. Simmons and everything went well. I had no problems and everything was taken care of and after a couple of days my mouth felt pretty good. Great place, I had went to get my Wisdom teeth removed and they were very informative and also worked with me every step of the way. The surgery was went by quick and easy with no complications basically got a shot in the arm went to sleep and woke up. The only real pain is the after effect of the normal getting 4 teeth cut out of your face lol. Just do as they say and it all goes well.I would recommend them to anyone that was looking for surgery or implants.

Unfortunately I have had too much experience with dental procedures primarily due to my own neglect prior to my teenage years. The good news though, is that I have learned to recognize a good doctor and staff and know when Im in good hands.I lost three jaw teeth that got infected after an insect bite. My dentist said thay had to come out, and referred me to Dr Simmons. Dr Simmons pulled the teeth and the same visit placed two implants for a 3 tooth bridge.You can be assured I dreaded to see that day arrive more than any past medical treatment.However, by the end of that visit, I had the implants for my new teeth! All I had to do was heal for a few weeks. The soreness was over in less than one day. Im sold on his method of doing implants.The doctor who referred me to Dr Simmons installed the bridge in December 18, about 2 months ago, so Ive had plenty of time to get used to my new hardware. And theyre great.I appreciate Dr Simmons and his staff for the excellent care I recieved and have recommended them to others.

A friend took my daughter to have her wisdom teeth extracted. I dont even want to give a rating, the experience was SO HORRIBLE! I wouldnt recommend this place to ANYONE. My friend couldnt go back to help my daughter relax when getting an IV. Shoved them out the door afterwards, and I dont even feel comfortable taking care of her due to the hurried post op instructions, or lack there of post op instructions!! My friend had to use the restroom, and because there was a tiny waiting room, the staff literally said (after she went out of the waiting room to find the restroom), well since youre already back here, you can use the restroom. I cant believe the nerve of this place! My daughter had a reaction to the anesthetic, and they appeared to not know how to appropriately respond!!! SCARY. There is no way in hell I would recommend this place to anyone. Apparently the staff are very rude, and according to my friend, treated her totally inappropriately. Very unprofessional and HORRIFYING experience.

I was very apprehensive about having a tooth extracted. It was that or a root canal, so I decided it was best to go with the extraction. Dr. Simmons was very supportive and reassuring, even spoke to me on the phone to go over the procedure. I finally decided to go forward and arrived at the new OSIA on Woodruff, I felt relaxed.Dr. Simmons staff were very professional and courteous. During the procedure Dr. Simmons constantly made sure I was OK and not in pain. The tooth he had to remove was a fighter, did not want to come out easy. I was expecting once the Novocaine wore off later that day that I would be hurting, but pleasantly, I was not.The area was a bit tender for about a day. I only used one pain med before I went to bed and it probably wasnt really needed. The next day I was fine, just careful not to chew on that side for the day.So overall, its funny to say this, but having a tooth extraction at OSIA was actually a good experience! I would trust Dr. Simmons and his staff with any oral surgery concerns you may have. I have already recommended him to my friends and family.

I had 3 teeth removed this morning, one pulled and two that were impacted. I was put under general anesthesia for this prodecure. They do require you to pay up front and they themsethem have no payments plans for dental work, but you can apply for a medcial credit card called care credit and they take that. The care credit program itself is super easy to sign up for and based on your income, they give you a limit on the card. (Mine was 800) And my procedure was 795, so I really lucked out! For any procedure they recommend you come in for a consultation where they look at any preexisting x-rays or take some themselves depending on your situation. They day of the surgery, you go up and fill out a few simple forms and pay and they take you right back. They hooked my up on vital machines and put a few heart monitors on me. Dr Simmons came in and assured me everything would be great and he did the IV and anesthesia himself. They had me on laughing gas while he put the IV in, but I honestly couldnt really tell a difference and he was great in placing the IV. Very quick and confident! He and his team talked to me while the anesthesia was taking effect. Vacations and what I liked to do in my spare time. When I woke up, I was a bit panicked. But Dr Simmons and his team assured me I was doing great and the procedure was a successful one! Dr Simmons even took the time to help me out of the chair and walk me to the car! 4 hours post op now and Im sitting here writing this review because he and his team took excellent care of me! Definitely recommend this practice to anyone who needs to have oral work done outside of a normal dentist!

This place has the WORST customer service EVER! I was referred to the by dentist to have my wisdom teeth removed. I called them to ask why I was in more pain than when I got them removed. The doctor told me that he would just leave a different pain medicine at the front desk for me not even offering to see me until I complained about it. I now have a physical hole on the side of my jaw where food is getting stuck! I called and asked about it because they claimed that I was going to heal and the lady that works at the front desk asks me questions and gets an attitude when I ask her if its normal to still have a hole and a piece of bone sticking out and if it normally takes this long to heal! Its not even the fact that I need to go back its the way I was treated after spending money with them. I would not recommend anyone to go back to them.

Very professional and personable including his neighbor to left of him.Will give you the best Denital work from start to finish and they use a great lab out of NC which is also home grown Dr all 3 work to gather well and can not about their very friendly office staff I have seen in along time!!!If you want the hard work done great and pleats go see Dr Smith and Dr Simmions.

I am at a loss for words to describe my experience with the office staff and Dr. Simmons. I am a 2 time leukemia survivor in desperate need of treatment as I am losing my teeth. I asked that they submit a pre cert for treatment and after pestering them for almost 3 weeks they finally submitted to insurance and of course this was promptly denied. Looking over the pre cert all they included was code numbers and prices nothing explaining that this is a issue because I lost my salivary glands due to treatment. All they cared about was money not my best interest, If I had $16k laying around I would have the implants done but at this point I will look elsewhere to find an office that is compassionate and willing to put in the necessary paperwork to get treatment approved.

Im a real chicken when it comes to dental work. But - I had to have a wisdom tooth pulled.Dr. Simmons made me feel at ease right away. He talked me through the whole thing and was concerned about my comfort from the beginning until it was over. And - the dreaded shot in the roof of the mouth - I didnt feel a think. The 1st treatment was excellent even the second one. But the three treatment with the recipient was treble she isnt friendly it time I call she never no the answers to any questions. If it wasnt for her I think it would be like it was the first time

I had a very broken, painful and abscessed tooth that had to have something done and I waited until it was really bad because of bad dental experiences before. Dr Simmons and staff were very kind and understanding of my situation, no judgments about me letting my tooth get so bad, and made sure I received prompt care, antibiotics and extraction. I wish I had known about them years ago. Absolutely recommend them, especially to dento-phobes like me.
