08/05/2021 update. I take it all back, yes they did messed up my appointment, however they called me back to apologized and offered me an appointment to my earliest convenience. I arrived with enough time, they were warm and kind and Doctor Goldman personally offered me an apology. Im glad that everything came around. They definitely won me over. Will highly recommend.Original post on 7/15/21=>Unprofessional or just incompetents. Cancel my appointment because I was “running 10 mins late” however the appointment was confirmed at 12:10 and they said that It was at 12:00.

Friendly professional staff gathered my information, technicians did the initial eye tests for Dr. Goldman, all very efficiently. Dr. Goldman then explained the findings from the prior testing and described the options for repair of problem areas in terms that were clear. We discussed options, and plans for monitoring possible changes and jointly agreed on next steps and the follow up. I am more than pleased with the professional, caring attention given to my needs!

The staff and especially Doctor Ang were very nice and friendly and listened and answered all of my questions pertaining to my dads upcoming cataract surgery.They were all very reassuring and very informative.

My appointment was very organized, on time and informative. Dr. Maslin and her staff were thorough, professional, and friendly. Brenda was very helpful with follow-up scheduling. The office reception area was marked well for COVID safety and available seating was spaced appropriately.

Wonderful, kind staff that gets straight to the point and answers any question. Space is a little cramped, but that’s not their fault. Good COVID precautions and very clean.

The Doctor and staff were very friendly. The doctor went the extra mile to make sure I was properly taken care of and got all the tests I needed to assess my problem. They were prompt and their office was very clean and only 4 people at one time in the waiting room.

The eye doctor was a quizzical, older gentleman. I had some questions about a pre-existing eye condition and whether I could perform some precarious home treatment (using special tweezers to squeeze my eyelids to help the pores). He was quite cavalier and said go for it. I showed him the tool on Amazon. He asked if I could buy him a tool, too, and he would pay me back (WHAT?!?). He then started to reminisce about his time in the military. He forgot to write the prescription that he promised. I had lost my faith in his abilities, so I didnt pursue it. Wont be returning to this establishment.

This “Doctor’s” office has poor patient skills, we have been to this office 8 times, and not once have we every been called back within 45 minutes after our appointment time. If we are scheduled at 2:15 we are called back at 3:30, if you are scheduled at 8:00 you are called back at 9:00. We asked what they can never get patients in at their SCHEDULED appointment times, they always say it because other patients were late for their appointment, well if THEIR late, make them wait until the end of the day or RESCHEDULE them, don’t make those of use who are on time what for them.This office has A LOT to LEARN about scheduling ... maybe they should all attend scheduling 101.

Terrible patient care! Will be filing a grievance against this office. ALL of the staff is unbelievably unprofessional especially the office manager “Diana”. Do not go here!!

I don’t often give reviews because I like to look at the positives in any experience and give people the benefit of the doubt but I feel like I need to. I have never felt so taken advantage of by a business let alone a doctors office! Dr. Goldman did not assist me in the purpose for my visit and made me feel very routine, and “just fine” to get me in and out to make another routine quick buck. However, by far the worst part of this experience was his office staff. They are extremely un professional, rude, and vindictive without being able to go into the looong stressful story. I have filled a grievance with my insurance company toward this office and I hope the poor reviews on google and yelp help save someone from a lot of un needed frustration and stress when deciding on an eye doctor. Please choose another optometrist other than the Eye Institute of California.

The bathroom are dirty and have no toilet paper! I been waiting for the maintenance to come and bring toilet paper, it been more then 20 minuets.
