I have always been afraid of dentists. I was one of those kids who ALWAYS had cavities. I never had a visit where all I needed was a cleaning. As soon as I was old enough I stopped going to the dentist. I would start up again with a new dentist every few years, have a horrible experience and not go back. I recently started going to Konikoff because my husband and I decided it was time to be good role models for our kids and also take better care of ourselves. I have never felt so comfortable at a dentist office as I have felt at Konikoff. I have had 2 visits so far, been through X-rays, cleanings, filling replacements (Novocain shots eek!) and have felt NO pain. They are super thorough and, despite being extremely busy, give you all the time you need to ask questions. They explain everything in detail, give you options for treatment, and make sure you are very comfortable before proceeding. I go to the new location in Edinburgh and I am so impressed, as is my husband. I would rate them 20 stars if it were an option.

Ms. Monique was a DREAM! It was our first time at Konikoff and my 3 and 4 year olds first time visiting a dentist. We couldn’t have had a better experience. Ms. Monique was so thoughtful and kind while working on the babes, explaining every step and engaging with them to make sure they were comfortable. Unlike most, they already love the dentist and I cannot thank the team at Konikoff- Edinburg enough!

Standard dental office. A little small but doesn’t really matter since you go back to get your cleaning. Staff is always friendly and organized. Hygienists do a pretty good job at cleaning. Always give recommendations but never push or force treatment. I like this dentist office and Dr Miranda (sorry if I misspelled) is great too. Plan on going here for years to come.

This was our first visit with the Konikoff Dentistry in Edinburg (our previous dentist of 20 years retired in mid 2021). Both my wife and I were very impressed with the professionalism and warmth of the staff. The cleaning and examination of our teeth was fantastic, and they did an excellent job explaining everything they were doing. Each examination room had a TV on the wall with a sports channel playing softly, which I thought was nice. We highly recommend this office and will definitely continue using them for our dental care. (Please note that my wife agrees with this review, and she doesn’t like going to dentist. 😁)

Dr. Konikoff is the best! He has treated my daughters and myself for over thirty years. There is no other dentist I would trust with my dental care. He is a first rate dentist and a first rate person. Kind, compassionate and caring of all he meets. I have been truly blessed to have found him so many years ago.

Dr. Miranda is always professional, gentle and makes sure Im okay as I am a big baby with the dentist. I appreciate his staffs patients and knowledge so that I am informed on whats going on every step. Highly recommend him and his office.

Dr. Konikoff and his staff are the best! After my son was born I knew i needed to see a dentist since it had been way over due.Dr. Konikoff and his entire staff always made you feel so comfortable and taken care of. I used to hate going to the dentist. I always felt uneasy and anxious but ever since attending Konikoff Dentistry I actually look forward to my dentist appointment and seeing all the wonderful employees there. I have never had any dentist care so much about his patients. For instance, he personally called at 8pm after a long work day to see how I was feeling after I had experienced some discomfort in one of my dental surgeries. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never had any dentist care to do that. He always asked how I was and remembered important events that we talked about prior. He’s not just an exceptional dentist but overall an exceptional individual. I’ve also never had any issues getting an appointment scheduled. The office is clean, well maintained, and always sanitized.I honestly can’t thank Dr. Konikoff and his staff enough. It’s been a pleasure knowing him and his staff throughout these last two years. Unfortunately we got orders out of state and I’m so so sad that I will no longer have Dr. Konikoff as my dentist.I highly recommend them!

I have been going to the Konikoff practice for over 20 years. They have treated all of my kids and now my mother too.I cant say enough good things about them, especially Dr. Miranda! He is very friendly and will sing with the radio while he is working on you; but your mouth is full so you cant tell him to stop.. hahaI broke a tooth in the back and Dr. Miranda went over the options of fixing it or doing a root canal or putting a crown on it. In the end, he honestly told me that even if I did get it fixed or put a crown on it, he couldnt say if it would fix the problem permanently; just to go through all that process and have it not work anyway. He recommended an oral surgeon because of how deep the root of the tooth was.

I have a Konikoff right down the street from where I live, but I drive all the way to Edinburgh because of how awesome Dr. Miranda is. Hes the best dentist at Konikoff in my opinion. Going to this location is definitely worth the extra mileage.

He is a very professional, yet caring dentist. He is a perfectionist, and you can tell that everyone working in his offices strives to be their very best. My experience was a blessing from God! I can not say enough about how professional and curtious the entire staff at the Edinburgh Konikoff dentistry is. Let me Begin by saying Im not good with names and I want to remember the names of the staff that helped me dearly. Well the first was the lady at the desk who was polite and sweet and caring I did not catch her name. II was the lady I believe her name was Monique who did my x-rays and she was a multitasker if she does everything at the dentist office she was very caring very sweet shes funny warm-hearted good with kids a very very personable staff member. The third person I interacted with was my hygentist it was her birthday and I forgot her name Lord forgive me she was a blessing and she took good care of me and she was very delicate but yet precise in her cleaning and very thoughtful Adam answered all my questions a real gem. And finally my Dr. Joshua Miranda hands down the greatest dentist on Earth with a beautiful warm heart and hes a Jesus loving devoted father and husband. Dr. Miranda puts more love and patience and care into each one of his patients than anyone Ive come across. I dont have the best teeth I have a quite a sweet tooth and Ive been through my share of cavities and crowns and Dr. Miranda is the most delicate and precise doctor when it comes to novocaine injections. He is so slow and caring for your needs; when giving you the novocaine injections. You could not go wrong by having doctor Miranda as your dentist for life;he is a true blessing and I love that man.

Dr. Konikoff ensures that you are aware that he is there to do what you want him to do, and that he is there to build positive relationships, and that they just happen to also practice dentistry. His staff was amazing, and kind.

This visit was amazing. Loved Dr Miranda and Michelle. They were very comforting and caring. The dentist definitely makes me nervous and they were awesome. I had no pain for this filling, not even for the injection to numb. They both checked on me through the procedure and were very aware and comforting. They get to know their patients and truly care.

My experience with Konikoff Dental Association was great. I have had extensive dental work done in the past year. I am very please with the results. Everyone has been very helpful and answered all of my questions. Also, I appreciate that the Konikoff Dental Association is very update with their knowledge and procedures. I needed a root canal and Mayo Endodontists was recommended to me. I received excellent care and Dr.V. Mayo explain the procedure very clearly.

Konikoff office staff is hospitable and goes over and beyond to provide assistance. The hygienists and doctors were knowledgeable and accommodating. Konikoff is always on the cutting edge of technology. New laser beam for detecting oral cancer was introduced. Great to have a location so close to the Outer Banks. Thank you.

My grandson and his friend were playing around Saturday morning when an elbow to his mouth broke off half his front tooth. I immediately called the Konikoff office and the answering service put us in touch with Dr. Joshua Miranda who was able to see my grandson at the Edinburgh, Chesapeake office right away. Dr. Miranda and his assistant Ms.Christie worked a miracle with my grandson’s tooth and though it’s only temporary it looks great! My grandson has never had a cavity so he’s never had to deal with drills and especially needles, so he was very nervous and scared to the point where he was trembling in the chair. And my grandson is a 200+ lb. 15-year-old! Dr. Miranda And Miss Christie were very kind and reassuring which helped to relax him. When they were done it was half an hour past the time they were supposed to get off and my grandson’s front teeth looked wonderful. In fact, it looks better than before! Really! A huge thank you to Dr. Miranda and Miss Christie for taking excellent care of my grandson. I highly recommend them!

We love this office. The front desk is so kind always smiling and very helpful. I have seen Dr. Emily for exams and dental work. Heather for cleanings. They do a great job and I feel very confident in my dental care.My 3 year son started going and loves it. They are so kind and patient with him. They are gentle and answer all him questions. He says Dr. Emily and Mrs. Heather are his friends.We are a military family and without a doubt this has been our favorite place.

We had our first visit to Konikoff at the Edinburgh location last month. Myself and my two teen sons were all seen after a couple of years of not going because we couldn’t find someone we liked close that accepted United Concordia. We were thrilled to learn someone was near us as we know it’s hard to find someone because, well let’s face it, our insurance is less than stellar. I can’t even express how ecstatic we were with the service we received, it was absolutely the best experience we’ve had at a dental office and with a dentist. The front desk, the office staff, the hygienists and Dr. Miranda all made our experience amazing. I felt as if we mattered and weren’t just another person to them. They were so informative, broke everything down so their were no surprises and really just were so personable and kind. I feel like we are on way to having healthier mouths and I’m so grateful to have found such a phenomenal place to take myself and boys.Thank you all so much! I will be recommending you to all my friends and Coast Guard family.

I love this Konikoff office! Staff is always friendly and helpful. The Dentists do a good job of explaining procedures and they dont do unnecessary ones. I just had 2 crowns placed and they feel better than my real teeth. Ive also been able to get my 7 yr old in quickly when shes had pain.

Everyone is friendly and always takes as much time as I need to explain everything about the procedure & what to expect during and after. If I have ever had any conflicts, they have always been handled in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. I have been with Dr Konikoff for almost 29 yrs, since I moved here when I was 19 yrs old & I won’t see anyone else! I won’t let anyone come close to my bridge work but him! The dentist and all of her staff are extremely nice. Unfortunately, they’re not very good at their jobs. I went in to get a filling repaired. After the dentist repaired the filling, I kept telling the her that it felt strange, But she said it looked fine. Fast forward a few months, and my filling comes out while I’m flossing my teeth. I’m not that aggressive of a flosser and a filling shouldn’t be able to just pop out like that anyway.So I call the office to leave a message since this happened late at night. I leave a voicemail and wait for the next morning. Meanwhile, I am unable to eat or drink anything, not even water, without experiencing pain. I called the next morning, when the office should be open. According to their answering machine, they open at 8am on Fridays. But nobody answers. Since the machine said they open at 8, I decide to just drive in, thinking that they just forgot to turn on the phones for the day.Imagine my surprise when I pull up and see that the office is closed. I immediately whip out my phone and call another Good Neighbor Dental location in Virginia Beach. The receptionist I spoke to said that the office and Chesapeake is not always open on Fridays. So my question to her was why does their answering service say that they are?But I digress. I explain my situation. She puts me on a long hold. She comes back to tell me that they have no available appointments for me. I tell her that I’m not looking for an appointment. I’m looking for someone to fix the filling that fell out of my mouth. She suggested I wait until Monday to go to yet another location and get my tooth fixed.Obviously that solution will not suffice. I told her as much, and I have to admit I got very angry with her. What is the point of having a dentist if they cannot handle a dental emergency?I am sorry to say that I cannot recommend this dental practice to anybody. Had my filling been done correctly the first time, it would not have fallen out. The fact that it even did fall out and they were unable to see me immediately or at least on the same day does not bode well for other patients. Take your teeth elsewhere.EDIT: After working with the Director of Operations, I was sent a Visa gift card reimbursing me for the expense of having to use an out-of-network dentist to repair my filling since Good Neighbor Dental would not see me the day I needed the filling repaired.I have since changed insurance companies and that out-of-network dentist I saw is now in-network. I had a much more pleasant experience there and I greatly appreciated the fact that they would see me on such short notice even though I was not an established patient. I wish I could say I was going back to Good Neighbor, but I have decided to stick with this other dentist.
