They are great. I took my daughter to a different dentist and she had such a bad experience. She did not want to go to any dentist. But I took her to Vacendak Dentistry and she was so happy when we left. They had to pull one of her baby teeth and when we left she said “I really like that place!” They are all amazing.

I have seen Doctor Daniel multiple times over the last 2-3 years. He is always so nice and caring. I get bad anxiety at the dentist and he makes sure to explain everything he’s doing and answers all my questions. The office staff and dental hygienists are also amazing. I recommend them to everyone!

Dr. Vacendak is a family run dentist. Mother & adult son are both fantastic dentists! I love all of the staff because they are super friendly and accommodating. They do a great job on my regular cleanings and all my extras. I’ve done professional whiting with them as well as standard fillings, X-rays, etc. reasonably priced and accepts Tricare dental.

I spent 3 plus hours with Dr. Sheila this morning while she prepared and affixed a new crown. The level of care she and her staff provided was outstanding! She, Dr. Daniel, and all the staff at Vacendak really get to know their patients and make them feel like family.

Hands down, the best dentist and staff I’ve ever dealt with. The fact that they are tricare in-network providers is the icing on the cake! They’ve taken care of all my kids better than any pediatric specialist, and gotten them in for emergency treatment quickly.

I had the best experience with Dr. Sheila and her wonderful staff. They were warm, welcoming and professional. Communication with the front desk was excellent from the beginning. I had an old filling and crown replaced. It is clear Dr. Sheila is very skilled with her care. I love their use of the most current technology. Their in house lab for crown production was a nice surprise and the same visit permanent crown fits perfectly! It was a pleasure to be in their beautiful and peaceful space! Sheila and Daniel are the best! This mother/son team has been working on mine and my sons teeth for over 4 years. They are so personable and really thorough with their work. I have NEVER had an unpleasant experience here, even when Ive needed to have my teeth drilled! Have to say they are professional but please read the office policies closely. They require some appointment payments at the time of scheduling. So if you need a crown you will be paying as much as 2-3 weeks ahead of time to make sure you show up I found this totally unacceptable and insulting. I tried to communicate this but it fell on deaf ears. I Cannot go to someone so uncaring.

I came to Vacendak Dentistry one year ago. I was in need of extensive work and was placed under the care of Dr. Daniel. In one years time, Ive had 80% of the work completed with some unforeseen complications that no one could have predicted. However, Dr. Daniel has been in communication with each one of my outside doctors. Again, I emphasis IN COMMUNICATION; not a quick check in, but on top of every report, phone call, and treatment plan moving forward. Moreover, he and his team have been accommodating and understanding to any inquiry or qualm that I may have, and they never make you feel as though the simplest question is outrageous. Every questions is a good question. Lastly, his team. From Terry and Selena at the front desk, to the amazing support staff that talk you through every single procedure with the doctors, I cant express enough my gratitude for them. Especially Dr. Vacendak, his mother, who has also been just as great of a role in my treatment plan. I leave you with this: you will not regret coming to these doctors and their practice. They work as a team, and make you feel like family.

I needed to check out a new office because my dentist went out of network, but I see the dentists office every 6 months for cleaning and checkups regularly.Dr. Sheila Vacendak reviewed my x-rays and sat down next to me to give me the news. I had 5 cavities and one would need a root canal, crown (she could make it for me in house), and possibly worse (very much scare tactic). I was shocked since I did not understand how my teeth could all of a sudden be so bad in 6 months. Ive never needed anything but a few fillings. She also felt I should not wait for my insurance predetermination on what they would cover since my tooth was so bad, and then when I insisted, she sat on the paperwork for over two weeks (I called the insurance to see what the status was and shed never sent it in) until I called her to ask why it had not been sent in.Feeling I needed a second opinion, I called my cousin who happens to be a recently retired Air Force dentist (ran several USAF Dental offices) and currently runs a university dental residency. He had his student look over my teeth and he fixed my one filling and saw no other cavities. No root canal needed, no crown needed, just a simple filling. My cousin reviewed his work and concurred. I was shocked. Ill let you form your own opinion, but I wont be going back.

I am happy to be a new client of Vacendak Dentistry! I received the most thorough exam Ive ever had by Dr. Daniel. The practice itself is beautiful, clean, and has all the latest technology. Dr. Daniel also explained to me how to properly clean around my existing permanent retainer which no orthodontist or dentist has ever explained to me before, and Ive had it in my mouth for 17 years. I just brought my dad here for a consultation and was incredibly impressed. He had very poor health and was not looking forward to having to sit in a dentist chair. They really took care of him. They gave him a neck pillow a blanket and everyone was super nice. I will be switching my kids to here I was so impressed. I love the dentist who I just started seeing but I may even switch myself to here as well. Great personalities and just super professional, comfortable atmosphere.

By far the best dental office I’ve been to! The staff treats you like royalty all while managing to get your teeth in perfect shape! They have chairs that heat up and vibrate OMG!!!! I could not believe it!!! I some how got cold during the process of getting my teeth cleaned and they went and got me a blanket!!!! Not just some ordinary thin blanket, I PLUSH blanket that made me feel like I was getting my teeth cleaned by angels the entire time!!!! These guys are the real deal. Like everyone else, I have nothing but good things to say about Vacendak Dentistry.Dr. Daniel Vacendak was very thorough during my exam, and he took the time to explain all of my x-rays and test results in great detail. He was very friendly, and he made sure to explain everything clearly, using words that a layman like me could understand.Their office manager, Terry, was also very friendly and helpful. She explained all of my charges up front, and they actually honored them without trying to rip me off (like many other dentists will). They charged a very fair price for my night guard, and Terry even went the extra mile to take care of my referral and call the oral surgeon on my behalf to get everything set up.Vacendak Dentistry certainly deserves the unanimous 5-star reviews. Excellent patient care; support staff are fabulous but unlike many dental offices, primary care and patient interaction is with the dentist, not the support staff.

Daniel Vacendak is a great dentist. He recommended a treatment plan for me that helped avoid an expensive root canal and all the pain of that. His recommendation was the most conservative option, and ended up being the best option for me. Best of all it saved me a bunch of money! It all worked out great! I learned my lesson to make sure I floss every night! Plus they have great chairs and TVs with netflix on them, and all new equipment. Its such a new new and clean facility, I cant recommend this office enough and have told all my friends.

I want to begin by saying I absolutely love this office! This practice is state of the art with letting you do your initial patient paperwork online, and it was easy to get new patient appointments scheduled for my son, daughter, and I with only three weeks in advance before school started in two weeks. We have the active duty military insurance that is Now UCCI since MetLife is no longer the provider for the contract for active duty military dependents. It was difficult finding a dentist in our area that would still take our insurance due to the change with reimbursements. This amazing practice delivered, thank God! The office is located in Kempsville, in an established safe area. The outside is immaculate, as well as the inside. The waiting area was large enough to feel comfortable, but still quaint to feel welcome, with a family practice feel. After Dr. Sheila Vacendak saw both of my children for their exams after cleaning and x rays, (they have digital x rays, which greatly reduces radiation), she came over to tell me that all was well with both of them. My children were completely comfortable getting their cleaning and x rays with their provider, Claire, while I was getting my x rays, exam, and cleaning with Brooke and Dr. Dan Vacendak. My son has severe anxiety, so that is a true compliment, saying he was comfortable with people he did not know. Dr. Dan Vacendak did comprehensive dental charting as well as periodontal charting on me prior to my cleaning. He answered all of my questions, and he even checked one of my teeth with an illumination device that my previous dentist was keeping an eye on due to a possible stress fracture that may need a crown in the future. They have heated massage chairs as well. I am thrilled I found such a caring state of the art dental practice, in a safe and convenient area, that has comprehensive preventative care, as well as restorative care to take care of our family. I just cant say enough about how welcome this dental practice made our family feel. We look forward to our next cleaning and check up!P.S. I also wanted to say that not one person in this office ever mentioned even wanting or requesting a positive google review. I never leave google reviews. I took the time to write this for the truly amazing practice they really are. If they had demand force, I would leave an amazing rewiew there as well. Try them out. I had a bridge fall out yesterday that was composed of two crowns. I sent an email to this Drs office and they called me the minute they opened the office the next morning and were willing to see me in two hours. I could not, but they saw me in the afternoon when I was free and gave me a thorough exam with xrays. They gave me some extra strength Advils while in the office free, snap.Then gave me a lower estimate than I had anticipated. Cheaper rates than other dentists I have used in the past out of the area.We decided that one molar should be extracted (too risky to drill out the cavity and fill, might require a root canal, etc), while the other cuspid could be saved and we could use the same crown (part of the bridge) that fell out. Saved 400$ bucks there! They laid out all my options which happened to be the cheapest and best given my age. So I had the molar extracted a few minutes later, it went as well as any surgical extraction can go but I had enough injected in me to kill all the pain. My other crown was refurbished and my cuspid cleaned and the crown cemented back on, like new. All for much less than what it cost me for my last extraction in Maryland a year ago alone and much less than the crown I had put in before that on a different molar a month later.I took my left over gold crown and bridge to a store that buys gold and this dental appointment went from CHEAP comparatively to FREE. All courtesy of this Dr and his kind, courteous and helpful staff. I cannot believe I am giving them all a 5 STAR RATING. Never did that for a Dentist in my life and I have seen dozens of dentists all over the US in the past 40+years.

Ive been hesitant to see a dentist for years due to unpleasant events with previous dentists. I finally muster up the courage to go and picked Vacendak denistry. Dr. Daniel is one of the best dentists that Ive encountered. He throughly explains everything that hes doing and whats to be done. Extremely knowledgable and understanding of those that might be a little anxious when in the dental chair. He helped put one of my oldest fears to rest. I am no longer afraid of the dentist! I can finally confediently smile again thanks to Dr. Daniel and his wonderful staff!
