I have been a patient of Dr. Asam’s for 25 years! He lives up to his name Dr. Asam (AWESOME)!!!I am not a fan of going to the dentist, but I don’t mind going to him at all. He’s kind and gentle and talks you through the procedure your going through. He also has a great staff. The office manager, Ms. Jill is very sweet and accommodates all your needs and is very pleasant to deal with. The dental hygienists, Ms Kelley, and Ms. Joanna are awesome young ladies as well. They take very good care of cleaning your teeth. Just met the new dental assistant, Lisa. She seems sweet and that she will be a great asset to “The Asams’ Angels” family ( as my pop-in-law puts it). Im a huge fan of Dr Asam and his staff. They did a great job of answering any questions I had, explaining what needed to be done and why, and helping me keep my teeth and mouth healthy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist. Plus, Im a big fan of the Pug statue in the lobby.

Dr Asam and team are Awesome! Had a cracked molar and I was bummed to hear Id need a crown. First time needing major dental work. I was a little nervous about the experience, but wow- it couldnt have been easier. Not yucky molds were needed. They do 3D scans for both the temporary acrylic crown (made instantly on a 3D printer) and the permanent crown. Perfect fit. Cant even tell its there. And best yet, NO pain whatsoever. Thanks for taking such good care of me (and my family!)

After doing a lot of research I chose Dr. Asam. What a wonderful decision. From the ladies in the front office to the assistants it was a great experience. I would recommend them to everyone.

Dr Asum and his staff are the most remarkable dental team I have ever had in over 50 years. His clinical research and decisions are superb, often going beyond the superficial, straight dental symptoms to underlying conditions that ultimately affect your teeth. I have never had a dentist that understood that before--using their limited time to just treat symptoms or what they saw in your mouth. I wish I had started with him when I received the first recommendation from a friend--it would have saved me time, money, and pain from working with other dentists and their staff. I would go further to say that Dr Asum and his staff (hygienists and front desk personnel) are more like family because they genuinely care about their patients and community. COVID has hit us all hard, but perhaps those who work in close proximity to our mouths and air passages are as front line as it gets. They have little choice about the masks they wear and can barely breathe in them--yet they never complain. Dr. Asam is AWESOME, along with the whole team! They made me feel so comfortable with getting my teeth cleaned and a root canal. Long story short, I am in my Mid 30s and truly have not been to the dentist since i had my wisdom teeth cut out in 9th grade. So 20ish years. The pain I was in after my wisdom teeth I cant explain, honestly that whole adventure was a nightmare. I never wanted to walk back into a dentist office, ever. I made sure that i took great care of my teeth to help avoid it. Weeelllll, 20 years later here we are. At dinner one night i broke a tooth in the back, I dealt with that until i absolutely could not bare the pain anymore. I did my research and made the best choice EVER! I had my husband call and set up my appt. Honestly he must have warned them of my fear or it was written all over my face when I walked in, either way that were ready for me. From the moment i walked in that door, i was assured i was in great hands. The whole team talked everything through with me and my husband they made sure i understood every step of the way. Thank you JILL, i was always aware of my next appt and was able to mentally prepare myself. JILL made sure I was aware of what my portion was after insurance. Dr Asam, I cant say enough how great he is. He has the worst part of the visit, the shots. He was so gentle and tried he hardest to make me at ease with them as well. Last but not least, hey KELLEY its Kelley! She took care of my cleanings. It had to be done in four parts, thru covid to say the least. She made me feel right at home and never I swear my teeth are like a new pair of shoes. Needless to say, I am done and set to go back every 4 month for cleaning. I will be ready to walk in that office by myself. Yall have a LIFELONG customer here! I am a permanent fixture now! Thank you again, and I cant wait to see you all in 4 months!

Ive been going to Dr. Asam for easily over 10 years. Phenomenal staff, Ms. Jill actually helped me assisted me in picking my insurance plan based of my medical history to get me the best deal. I recommend them to everyone I hear needs a dentist. I moved away from their location and still choose to schedule all my appointments with them and drive out of my way because they are that good.

Awesome dentist - awesome staff. Jill and Pattie are the best. Im so glad to be a patient with their team for almost 10 years. Kelley is really friendly, informative and easy going.I always look forward to visiting there for checkups, cleanings etc. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

This office is superb. The hygienists are amazing and gentle and listen to your concerns, the receptionists are organized and extremely helpful, and Dr. Asam is a genuinely caring professional. I started going to these guys when I lived in Chesapeake, and every 6 months I make the drive from Virginia Beach for cleanings because theyre that good and I trust them with my dental health care. Highly recommended!

Doc is awesome both in name and action. I am a veteran who does not have dental help from the VA. I went and saw him the other day and we did an exam with xrays and everything needed to come up with a game plan to get my smile all fixed up. If you are looking for the best dentist I have ever seen he is your guy. Both to mention the office staff. When you walk in the door you are family and they treat you as such. Best dental experience I have ever had from check in to checkout.

I have been with Dr. Asams practice since I was a kid, now even as an adult not living in Chesapeake I continue to return. There is no other dentist in the area that has the level of skill and talented staff support in one building. If you are looking for a dentist that will be upfront, accurate, and skillful in all his work and assessments then I would highly recommend him for your next visit. I would like to thank Dr. Stephen Asam for being the best dentist by far! I had a tooth break and was up all night in pain . He made sure I had a appointment that following day . Going to the dentist has always been one of my fears . But with his compassion , knowledge and humor , it has been a MUCH better experience. Thank you so much for taking care of me all these years . Dr Asam and his team are so knowledgeable, gentle, and just wonderful! Ive had some truly bad experiences at the dentist in my lifetime, usually at the hands of hateful hygienists, but Kelly and the rest at Dr Adams office are very gentle and understanding. Jill takes care of quotes and insurance processing and is about the most competent and efficient at this that I have ever met. Im not exaggerating- their team is top notch!

Well run office with friendly staff. I switched to Dr. Asam four years ago and wish I had done so sooner. Ive never had to wait more than a few minutes, and theyre usually ready for me as soon as I walk in. Ive never had a billing issue and they always remind me about my appointments.

Im SHOCKED, SPEECHLESS and RELIEVED... I had a root canal done and took one pain pill after THAT WAS ALL ! Im 49 years old now and every year I keep up with my yearly exams except for dental. I am so grateful to my wonderful co-worker who recommended Dr. Asam. Thank goodness he was there my second year in the state when I had a previously repaired tooth fall apart. I called and was given a appointment spot right away. Once in the dental chair, Dr. Asam completed Tha repair in less than an hour. 6 months later, all is still beautiful. I have been going to Dr. Asam almost 7 years. 4 years ago I lived across the street from his establishment and now I live in Suffolk, I continue to patronize this office because of the wonderful Admin. staff and the wonderful hygentist on staff. They are very friendly and have a gentle spirit that is comforting for any type of patient (child, adult or senior citizen). Dr. Asam has the best disposition for a dentist, which is a requirement of mine because a dentist works very close proximity in personal space. I truly love each and everyone in his office.
