I wish I could give zero stars...When I initially went here I had such a good positive experience. It was such a comforting environment for a dental office with, what seemed, excellent customer service that I wanted Dr. Solomon (now retired) to do some major dental work that cost me over $7500 out of pocket not including the few thousand they charged my insurance company. My bridge looked amazing and I was a satisfied customer who walked out smiling June or July of 2019..That was until 3 weeks ago, I was biting into a peanut butter and jelly uncrustable and without warning the entire bridge came out. I found an emergency dentist near me in Elizabeth City who informed me the reason the bridge came out was because the dentist who prepped my anchor teeth did not do it properly which led to the teeth rotting while inside the bridge. Now my $7500+ bridge is a piece of expensive garbage. I am now left with the only option of implants which I would have done instead of the bridge had ANYONE informed me this was a possibility. I have called the office and spoken to 3 different receptionist because the office manager is always conveniently not in the office at that moment regardless of the time of day I call. Mrs. Solomon (the retired dentists wife) is the one who handles client issues has had 2 messages left for her and I still havenot gotten a call back.This office is a joke. They sweet talk to you to get you comfortable and spend your money then preform sub-par work and leave your mouth in worse shape then when they started with a whole lot less money in the pocket...I would not recommend this office to my worst enemy. You have been warned!

My family has been using this dentistry office for years and its the best in Chesapeake VA. They have a friendly staff and the dentist are awesome at getting dental care taken care of.

Love the practice. Dr Knackman is second to none. Best dentist I have ever had. Camille is great hygienist and is my go to.Happy to have them looking after my health.

I was quite anxious about going for my teeth cleaning as it had been well over a year, but Anna was terrific. She did a thorough job with no intimidation, which I had experienced at other offices. Dr Nachand was great as well. Also, Henry at the front desk is very accommodating. Highly recommend!

The hygienist always does a great job & the dentist is friendly & gentle.

My husband does not have a dentist in the area. He had a problem with an old root canal. They worked him in and took care of him with no problems. He said the staff were all very friendly. The dr took great care of him! Thank you!

The staff were unorganized. The dentist didn’t use any tools to check my sons teeth. He had my son open his mouth then said that my son didn’t have any cavities. How do you know for sure if you didn’t use any tools to check? So, we will not be back.

The Manager that worked on 8/12/21 the evening shift was very rude and unprofessional, very loud in front of the kids, had them scared and nervous

All of the staff were friendly, sanitary, & non judgmental. I’ve gone into dentist offices knowing my teeth need proper care after a childhood of neglect. This Office not only educated me but they took their time in doing so & explaining why my gums were receding & gave me a game plan to get healthy gums and teeth. I highly recommend them.

All staff were professional and respected the COVID guidelines. Hand sanitizer was at different locations. Dental issues were explained very well that included sketches.

Called to get an appointment for an abscessed tooth and the receptionist was EXTREMELY RUDE and would not book me an appointment all because I was a new patient.

Everything was very professional everything was clean everything was according to the CDC I felt very comfortable being there being treated and everybody was very professional and there was no change in how they perform the operations of what you had to have done

I finally found me a Great a dentistry.Dr.burton and his assistant Christina served me well.after having a bad experience in the past at another dentistry, I neglected to go to the dentist on a regular. Now at 54 years old I can get back on schedule thanks to Dr.solomon & Associates i can SMILE AGAIN! Thanks again guys.!

Today I was greatly surprised after walking in for my appointment and seen that I had been scheduled with a different Dentist than my usual, Dr. Solomon. However, after meeting Dr. Burton and talking a bit, I was very impress. He was gentle with me and listened to my concerns and he explained everything so I could understand. I really liked him. I will be seeing him again in 2 weeks! I recommend him. And his assistant Annette, is also very nice.....

The staff is amazing, they really take the time and listen to what problems you may be having. All around a great dentist office!

Pleasant Staff

Was told by the Chesapeake hospital to come here for a Follow Up after an Emergency visit, had to wait 4 days after making the appointment when I made it clear I do Not have insurance. They told me to come in anyway. Was not told how billing would work and told me to pay up front after filling out paperwork. when I didn’t bring my wallet. Thanks for wasting my time.Such poor communication and now I have to re-schedule when I’ve already waited 4 days for this. If they communicate poorly when it comes to billing, couldn’t imagine what other poor traits this dentistry have. Definitely will not be re-scheduling with these people.

I was scheduled for an additional cleaning beyond the two covered by my dental insurance. This cost me $145. It was not explained to me that my insurance would not cover this. Also annoys me that this cleaning in December could not have been scheduled until January. Also, if I had received the bill before 12-31, I could have paid with FSA. I also do not appreciate the hygienist giving me advice on medications prescribed by by PCP, who I believe is better educated and knowledgeable. Needless to say, I plan to see a different dentist and will not fall prey to the uncovered cleaning scam - - which is what made me leave my previous dentist. If it comes out of your pocket, they can get the full amount - - with the two covered cleanings, they have to accept what the insurance has negotiated for them to be a provider.

I got an appointment with 3 filling with no pain teeth. And my tooth start to feel pain two weeks after one filling. I start to hate them now. My teeth was good. tomorrow need to check with them. They need to be responsible for this.

Dr. Solomon is AWESOME! He performed major dental work on me AND went out of his way to make it as painless as possible! I loved the great dental care he gave to me and my husband, so much so that I tried to talk him into relocating to the West Coast with us!!♡♡♡♡The staff is very professional and they care about the patients!We miss singing with you....while getting numb! ;) :)

I recently had a crazy painful toothache from one of my wisdom teeth and Solomon Forbes dentistry was recommended to me by a friend, I hadnt been to see a dentist in quite some time and was extremely nervous, but once I met Dr . Solomon, and he checked out the situation, I was MUCH MORE at ease,and what was supposed to be just a consult to figure out the best course of action turned into an immediate extraction of the bad tooth, which was the best thing that could have happened. His office staff are incredibly nice and professional. A week later I brought my 5yr old daughter for a consult and they kept my child at ease by telling stories and jokes. Ive definitely found my permanent family dentists office!

I have been going to Solomon & Forbes off and on for many years. Due to insurances sometimes you must leave and go with your network. Dr. Solomon is a true caring gentleman always so professional! I also have the same regards for Dr. Forbes and miss him! So I have to ask myself how and the world did Burton get in this mix. An adult that throws tantrums, who is inpatient and throws his arms up and the air and walks off. Not once but the only 2 times I have been in his chair. So rude, does he even care how he makes his patient feel? Well of course not. He should not be a dentist. I am not new to the dentist chair unfortunately and have had so much work thru many many years. I have never encountered this. I had a hard time with 1 star but had no other choice. This is how he treats clients and follow veterans?

After a bad experience with another dentist, I found this office welcoming. They were very professional and didnt try to up-sale me on whitening, braces, fluoride treatments, or other such things. I was very pleased with the office and dentist.

Great friendly customer service, very reasonable in cost, I had never been there before. I walked in with a toothache and was scene that day. Also was treated like a long time patient not just another dollar in there pocket, I will recommend them to everyone I come in contact with.

With over 30 years going to this practice, the service is still the same as it was the first time, routine cleanings twice a year by Celeste, and dental check up and any needed repairs are handled immediately, with Dr Solomon having the best light touch, making the patient very comfortable.

Until today, I thought very highly of this dental practice. After receiving an unusually large bill for a single routine filling (over $150.00 ) this is after my insurance company paid a percentage of the allowance. I inquired about the bill, considering Id pay what I was told was the amount of my co-pay after the procedure. I was told by the billing clerk --Jen, that the dental practice use white composites for fillings unless the patient ask for silver and my insurance only covered 80% of the cost for a silver filling (for rear teeth). I asked ,how would I have known that the dental office only use white? Jen s response was -- its common practice. So patients are supposed to know what your office common practices are (by what osmosis?) but you dont have any obligation to make that clear before service is rendered? For all I know the filling could have been green -- nothing was ever mentioned about its color before, during or after the procedure. I fully understand any cost not covered by the insurance company is the responsibility of the patient however, when the practice tells you your out of pocket cost is one thing, bill you for another and wont entertain any type of compromise, because they failed to make their common practices known and leave patients holding the tab in my opinion is totally unprofessional. Customer service horrible, professionalism the worst.

They were great. Able to get me in on a Saturday last minute for a broken tooth. Later Dr. Nachman was very nice and I had the hest experience at a dentist ever. I qould recommend them to anyone.

Pulled a tooth and offered no other option. My new dentist says that is an absolute last resort. And that I needed the tooth he pulled now am in constant pain from teeth shifting from this negligent dentist. Horrible would not recommend my enemy to him
