My experiences have been hit and miss here. Lately more misses than hits.I was incorrectly billed for a heart murmer test that never occured and went back and forth for months trying to rectify the situation. After several calls it seems to have been taken care of.Wednesday morning I called about vaccination records for the start of school. Did not get a call back - so I went in person and asked for the copies myself after being put on hold several times and disconected/asked to leave voicemail. I sent the shot records to the school myself to expedite things. I knew I was having surgery and would need to get things done while I could still drive.Got a call back today and they said my son needs two shots. He was just there last November, but I guess they didnt give him all the shots he would need until the following November? Or mention aything when I picked up the shot records Wednesday. They were kind enough to give me a 3pm same -day appointment, which I accepted. My parents had to take him, since I had surgery, and they waited for over 45 in the waiting room - I called and they said their computer was down so they didnt know who was here? I am not sure what that means, since people are visible from the waiting room. All in all the appt. for two shots took an hour and a half. Might have taken longer if I didnt call and ask what was taking so long to get in. We missed an event and I am upset that they dont monitor who is the waiting room, bill appropriately, or answer the phone reliably.I accept responsibilty for assuming incorrectly that he would be all set until November and realizing this week that he was not. This would have been easier and less inconvenient if I had reached out sooner to double check.

We absolutely LOVE the staff, the facility and their availability for same day appointments. I honestly can’t say enough great things about Dr. Holmes. We went through three pediatricians and many specialists until we found him and have been seeing him since (for over 2 years now). He is very knowledgeable, helpful and caring!

Dr. Holmes and the entire staff at Whitestone Pediatrics are fantastic. We followed Dr. Holmes from his previous practice, despite it being quite a drive for us, because we were so pleased with his standard of care. He treated my son for ADHD as well as providing general pediatric services for both of my children. He is thorough, prompt, and has the personal touch that you dont find with physicians much these days. We recently moved to Colorado, and we definitely miss Whitestone Pediatrics. I have even considered planning well-visits for times that we are visiting Austin, just to stay with Dr. Holmes! I HIGHLY recommend him!

Dr. Holmes and his staff are exactly what youd look for in a pediatrician. Individual attention without the rush and give you the best options to care for the kids. The best solution isnt always medicine and they always make that an option for your kids. Absolutely great! I couldnt have asked for a better doctor for my 3 children. They turkey care about your kids health!

We absolutely love Whitestone Pediatrics. My daughter, who is about to turn 8, has been with Dr. Holmes since birth. Whenever she has been sick, weve been able to schedule an appointment that day. Once in the office, the front desk staff and nurses are very attentive. Its obvious that they love working with the children. When Dr. Holmes enters the room, he always greets my daughter warmly and takes time to listen to her--and our--concerns about everything from health issues to feelings to your every-day kiddo drama. The appointment never feels rushed or like he is just running out to see his next patient. We always get great care at Whitestone Pediatrics...my daughter even asks for him by name. If she has a tummy ache, she says, I want to go see Dr. Holmes. Apparently, his bedside manner is better than mommys. : )I highly recommend Dr. Holmes and the folks at Whitestone Pediatrics!

My family has been bringing their children here for years and I started bringing my son when he was born (hes 2 now). We primarily see Dr. Holmes, but have seen all the providers multiple times when my son was sick - and for a while he was sick a lot.I cannot say enough positive things about them. Not only are they kind, professional and give quality care but they are fantastic about sick calls and getting appointments when you need them on the fly. They are really quick about documents that you need signed, etc. (usually same day or at the end of your visit). Overall, just a fantastic group of providers!

They say it takes a village to raise a child. All Ill say is make certain that village has a good doctor. We are very grateful Dr. Michael Holmes is in our village. Our daughter is our first child. Right from the time we met him at newborn care class until now hes been tremendous. He really cares for his babies and doesnt treat them or their family as patients/appointments. He goes above and beyond and is very responsive. Trust me he knows all babies decide to have ailments late in the night or over weekends. He has not only been proactive with our daughter on all our developmental visits but has been a great resource/willingly shared his personal experiences raising a child. We had problems breastfeeding, possible scaphocephaly, speech development issues with our kid. He identified all these at the right time and got us expert consultation to correct them before it became serious developmental hurdles. We are beyond belief glad we met him, know him and sincerely hope he stays in our village all through our daughters graduation to college.

Dr. Holmes is wonderful with both our girls. He really gets on their level and shows them how his stethoscope works. He takes all the fear out of the visit by interacting with them and being playful. As a parent, I really enjoy Dr. Holmes because he is extremely knowledgeable and honest. Parents of young kids can be pretty high strung and paranoid(even about the smallest things). He is not going to send you out for unnecessary testing if he doesn’t think it’s warranted. I really appreciate that because it can get very expensive. On some of these reviews, people complained about the wait. I have never been to a doctors office where I didn’t have to wait a while. I never felt it was unreasonable and it’s worth it.

The doctor is actually great... but dont expect to see him. Instead youll enjoy a nice long wait in the waiting room before being escorted back to an even smaller, louder, and less clean waiting room. The last straw was today when we had an URGENT matter for our 4 week old. They said theyd call us back... they never did. Now Im stuck dealing with an outsourced after-hours line instead of talking to a helpful human. How hard is it to call your patience back???PS: Dont get me started on the insurance runaround and all the time that wasted.

Great doctors but actual appointments seem rushed. The receptionist working the front seem as if they were not trained correctly to handle patients concerns. My 5 mo old has been turned away twice now due to their incompetence. My daughter had a 103° and we were turned away because we were 2 minutes late. Knowing I would be late I called and was told I would only have to wait a few minutes however when I arrived ericka working the front ignored us while chatting with other staff and then told us we cant be seen... No one should ever turn away a baby with a 103° temp these girls need to work for a company that does not involve the well being of children. On top of being a stressed and scared mom with no option but to take her to an urgent care, the girls had the audacity to yell, have a great day in the most fake voice I have heard... great job ladies

Extremely disappointed in the staff and billing practices of this office. Somehow, upon billing my insurance, they decided to use the code for Well Child Visit - even though we had just been seen for that there. Insurance did not want to pay for 2 yearly check ups - clearly. Had spoke with their billing manager in Liberty Hill to clear up this misunderstanding because it was obviously a clerical error. She agreed and never heard back from her. The next time I hear from them months later, its messages threatening collection departments. Yes, I have now been turned over and getting calls for the whopping sum of $74. I feel the staff was unfriendly and hated their job working with sick kids. The doctor is great but you only see him for 2 minutes at a time ;) Go somewhere where the staff are happy and maybe they wont fail you and your childs health. Mistakes created by lazy staff should not be the burden of the patient ☹️

We adore Dr. Holmes! He has been our pediatrician since our son was born and he treats us and all his patients like members of his family. Its so refreshing to find a doctor who genuinely cares about the well-being of his patients and even takes the time to follow-up to check on them after theyve been sick. Also, weve never had an issue getting in for a same-day sick appointment and havent ever had to wait ridiculously long times in the waiting room. They do also have a sick and a well waiting room to prevent the spread of germs.

We recently relocated to the Leander area from Austin and like most- I saw the great reviews and decided to schedule an appointment. My first initial appointment went well and I felt that the doctor- Dr. Holmes was genuine. I called in to their office 6 months later to get my sons rash/eczema checked out and to also hopefully get his flu vaccination. The receptionist explained that I would need to make 2 separate appointments because the flu vaccine would need to have a well check-up. Even though he just had one 6 months prior. I had to arrange around my work on 2 different days. I wasnt happy and was concerned that they may be trying to milk the insurance companies for 2 invoices but kept pushing on. The eczema/rash appointment left much to be desired - Dr. Holmes dismissed it and said that it would take 6-9 months to resolve. I wasnt happy but hes the doctor...I went to the next appointment and I saw a woman doctor, she saw the rash and didnt make a big mention of it and then asked if my son has a hard time at school and if he should be tested for ADHD! I was outraged- his daycare, school or ourselves have never had any concern. Hes a 6 year old boy! Fast forward 3 months and this rash has gotten a lot worse with sores and we went back. Dr. Holmes just looked at them and said to just put a warm compress and sent us on our way. Then another 3 months and these sores continue and are painful. I decide to call the office to get a new plan of action, this waiting isnt working. The receptionist explains that the doctor was out until noon and that I would have to wait until then to get a call. I told her its fine - Im going to get a second opinion. She states that shes going to see if another doctor will help but they may not be able to because they havent seen him. But they both had...Never got a call back. I then went to another doctor- same day and she prescribed antibiotics for the sores and a skin med to treat the sores. She referred me to a Dermatologist who saw me the next day and now my son is on the road to recovery. I thought I was done with them but then I get a bill from Whitestone Pediatrics for $10 with a note that said all co-pays are due at time of service. I called to inquire as I always pay. Well remember that second check-up in a year, my insurance didnt cover it and I had to pay a co-pay. They didnt ask me at time of service. I had an awful experience and would not recommend them.

I went here as it was an recommended by a mothers group because they allow parents to space out vaccinations. First, the doctor kept us waiting for 40 minutes. Then, he rushed through the 12 month well visit and didnt ask developmental questions except for when did she start walking and is she eating table foods! Thats it! Horrible if your child needs early intervention for any development needs. Worst part of visit was the vaccinations. I assumed they order the best vaccinations with the lowest mercury, aluminum and formaldehyde-NO!! They cheaped out! So I now have to pay for another visit and a different pediatrician to receive proper care and superior vaccines!Ask what manufacturer they use and do your research especially with the tdap and HIB vaccines!Updated 8/17/19: ended up just paying cash for my visit at Whitestone which was $100. I wanted to save my insurance for another pediatrician. Just had a 12 month well check visit and in comparison to Whitestone it excelled. Pediatrician sat with me and asked detailed questions on gross and fine motor skills, social development and language development. She checked her reflexes, teeth, ears and nose. She gave me information on milk transition and food/caloric intake. None of this I got from Whitestone. Next, Whitestone pediatrics could not properly advise me on the MMR shot before travel. The pediatrician went into depth with me in how long the vaccine needs for immune response before travel. Lastly, Whitestone was going to send me to an outside lab to have blood drawn for Lead and Anemia check but this new pediatrician did a finger prick in their office and will send it to the lab for me!!NEVER would I go or recommend Whitestone pediatrics due to their lack of quality and expertise!!!

Dr. Holmes has been our sons pediatrician since he was born a year ago and we have had nothing but excellent experiences with Whitestone Pediatrics! Dr. Holmes has great bedside manner and has a natural touch with babies. The nurses have always done a great job administering my sons vaccines -- hes barely even cried each time. Dr. Holmes really goes above and beyond for his patients; he gave us his cell phone number to contact him during a time when my son was sick. Another time my son was sick, my husband decided to go in the morning without an appointment. He was sitting in his car waiting for the office to open and as Dr. Holmes arrived he came up to the car and offered to see my son right away. Having so much support from our pediatrician has really made our first year as parents go so much more smoothly!

I was a new patient and first time to the office. I was called back immediately, but waited 40 minutes and I was the first patient after lunch. I asked Rachel at the front desk how much longer and she had a horrible attitude towards me as if she couldn’t believe I was actually asking how much longer. The office was freezing cold my newborn was so cold, you can hear everything going on in all rooms and waiting rooms. I heard every conversation going on, there is no sense of privacy as the people in the room next to you can hear your conversations. I ended up packing up my stuff and newborn and walking out.

Im a first time mom and decided to use Whitestone Pediatrics for my newborn because Tiffany Scott came highly recommended by a friend of mine. With all the newborn follow up visits I have had the chance to interact with this office several times now, and I must admit that Im not very impressed. While both Dr. Holmes and Tiffany Scott seem to be great physicians, their office staff and management leaves a lot to be desired. They seem to lack a lot of the common courtesy practices that most offices have. On two occasions now I have called to speak with a nurse and never received a call back (dont know if this is the front office not relaying the message or if it is the nurse...)*. Additionally, the first time we came in, the woman at the front desk was on the phone and didnt even acknowledge us (after a full 10 mins of standing their awkwardly, we finally just sat ourselves down in the waiting room). And on our second visit we showed up 5 mins before our appointment and the door to the clinic was locked with no sign on the door stating anything regarding hours or even a number to call (we again hung around awkwardly for awhile and finally the door was opened... turns out they lock the doors during lunch hour... would have been nice to know ahead of time). Finally, although the office is set up nicely with a sick kids and well kids side, for some reason we have always been ushered to the sick kids side without any explanation as to why (which is a little concerning for a mother of a newborn with an immature immune system...). These are just some examples of issues I have had. Although I think I will continue to come here because the physicians really do seem great, I do so cautiously in hopes that the office staff will improve.* Update- If you call their Liberty Hill office they are much more responsive!

They no longer want to take care of my children because I have had an absence at the doctor.I have twins, sometimes at the last minute due to lack of transportation, I cant go. My kids have been sick many times and because of the Austin Texas weather I cant get them out because they get worse. When these things happen I call them to change the appointment or to say that I dont have time. This last time I am missing, I could not call because my daughter was admitted. When I was finally able to call, the receptionist told me that they no longer wanted to see my children, then she said again wait! Let me talk to the manager to see if you can see them and we will call you back,. They never called me and 2 weeks passed, when I finally called, they told me that “I was supposed to know and that they had sent me a letter.” So I would never have found out and they didnt even call me to let me know.My daughter was seriously ill and now they dont want to see her because of an absence. I hope that that money they lost will never be recovered by interested parties, materialists and for lack of humanism. This clinic instead of 4 stars rating should have 1 or none.
