MOD Squad is hands down the best dentistry I’ve EVER been to. The staff is so friendly, and there are countless thoughtful touches—material and not. Everyone is always checking in on me and making sure I’m comfortable, and conversations feel very genuine. Also the interior is insanely pretty. Somehow these guys have made going to the dentist a fun an enjoyable part of my day :)PS I never ever write reviews so this is how good this place is

My family and I just had our very first exam and cleaning with Dr. Friedman and the team. Everything was clean, the environment was calming and everyone was friendly. When I filled out my new patient paperwork, I explained sensitivities and previous dental experiences and was surprised to notice that everyone actually read what I wrote! They anticipated my needs, calmed my concerns without me even having to express them and took excellent care of my 5 year old. Dr. Friedman explained all of my care needs while displaying my x-rays and digital imaging which made it easier to understand what procedures would need to be done at my next visit. Tommi was a wonderful hygienist who was gentle and kind and explained everything she was going to do before she did it. I am so very grateful to have been recommended this amazing dental practice and I look forward to recommending them to all of my friends.

Honestly, that is hard to do in any business, but from the top down this dental facility does it time after time. I went in for a cleaning today, which went perfectly!!! While in there, there were a few things that Doc Friedman saw needed attention and immediately made time to get it done in between patients while still providing full attention to them. Wow. He is the best in the business and you dont have to look too far for evidence, he is one of top rated for a reason. He is professional, patient, uber knowledgable, timely, precise and a pretty cool guy all around. Jessica, makes sure the staff always put their patients first and their care is top-notch. These guys are great. Been a patient for 8 years, lots of different procedures (crown, bridge, fillings) as well as just cleaning. I have an interesting dental history because of some sports accidents....They are super professional and very friendly. Personable office. They are on top of their stuff. Dentist is excellent. They don’t accept our insurance directly, but we go there anyway as I get a reimbursement for my dental plan. We like them a lot and they see my kids too!

Dr. Friedman and his super cool posse :) have been looking after my older son and my grill :) for a few years now and we just love them! We know they truly care about our dental needs while being gentle and understanding. I was one of those patients that had anxiety every time I went to the dentist due to my sensitive teeth and the equipment used until I found Mod Squad! They are high-tech! Special shout out to Kaylyn! She is the best hygienist! She is knowledgeable, gentle and so friendly! I thought it was better for my four year old to see a pediatric specific dentist office, as I did with my older son. We tried three before making the best decision to also make him a patient of Mod Squad. This group is so good I drive 20+ minutes (without traffic) because my boys and I will not go to another dentist office ever again!

I couldn’t chew on the left side of my mouth for almost 2 years. If it wasn’t for Dr. Friedman, I would still be in pain. He prevented a major infection and replaced a botched filling done by my previous dentist. Dr. Friedman is honest and won’t do work that isn’t necessary. He uses advanced technology and high quality dental products for his clients. I’m switching my daughter’s dental insurance just so that she can have him as her dentist. And now since we’ve moved out of Scripps Ranch, our drive to his practice takes 35 mnts. Dr. Friedman and his all star team are worth the longer commute!The whole team at Mod Squad are truly professionals. They go above and beyond to make you feel as comfortable as anyone can be at a dentist visit!

I have been with Dr. Friedman for about 7 yrs. Hes absolutely hands down the best dentist Ive ever had. Hes up to date, very professional, and well educated. Good stuff. I ditched my old dentist because he lied to me. So I got a second opinion from Doc Friedman and he said the barnacles arent showing on the X-rays. So Ive stuck with them since, very personable, my hygienist still remembers that Im using an electric toothbrush as she did my cleaning. I feel like Im in a dental spa instead of scary dentist.

There is so much that I love about Dr. Friedmans dentistry, but the most wonderful thing is that for the first time in all my many, many dental experiences, I can honestly say that I did not feel at all the injection...not even a pinprick. And, I was numb in an amazingly short time. The injection is what I usually dread the most, but now I have confidence that it will be truly painless. Good job, Dr. Friedman!

My gold rapper crown fell out and Dr. Friedman replaced it with a clean new white crown. He used a 3D camera, which was pretty cool, to help make the new crown which was a perfect fit.Michelle then did my cleaning. She is awesome! Painless experience while watching TV and getting a back massage, what more can you ask for.The staff is always friendly and fun to talk to. Great experience!

Recently I went for my 6 month check up, cleaning and xrays. This is a most rewarding office to visit: friendly, courteous, happy, concerned without angst, all up to date equipment which makes the visit ever so pleasant. A well-run, efficient office with staff who know you and know why you are there. Dont be fooled by the name - these are very well educated, up to the minute equipment, never waste my time and while young and young at heart they take their calling very seriously. Give them a try. I did in 2014 and havent been sorry.

This was a great experience. My father was a dentist so I had never been to another dentist. Technology has come a long way. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. First of all, they remembered my wife who hasnt been in there for quite some time. Secondly, the clinic is very clean. They were on time, very efficient, very friendly, very accommodating, and very interactive. I actually had a good time! Highly recommend this dental office!

Terrible billing department - major attitude. Now that the dentists current wife has taken over billing - apparently customers are no longer a priority. I have been a customer for years and when I called very upset that my insurance company had received 5 claims for 2 cleanings and were not covering my services I was treated with extreme rudeness and an utter lack of concern by wife Jessica. From the first word out of her mouth she seemed very annoyed to have to deal with any billing question. I explained I had just got off the phone with my insurance company and they said they received the request for payment five times for two cleanings. She denied this but then admitted she does submit each claim twice, electronically and by fax. When I tried to reiterate my concern because the insurance company said they had already paid the first cleaning twice so that is why they did not cover the second cleaning - she said I was accusing her of lying. I said you are stating that my insurance company is lying and I am just trying to get to the bottom of it all. Instead of pretending to be at all concerned her voice got even more shrill when I asked her name - she had to state she is the dentists wife! As if I care who she is married to!? It is not my fault you have to have a job that you clearly do not enjoy. How unprofessional and disappointing. When I told her I have been a customer for years and was just trying to get this figured out she had no reply. Thank you for nothing MRS. FRIEDMAN. Apparently you have so many customers you dont need my business. As a Scripps Ranch resident I will be sure to tell all my friends and neighbors just how well you take care of your customers.

I recently had a LOT of dental work done - most of it was cosmetic and some of it was routine, but I had been procrastinating and was very nervous about the appointment. When I emailed Jess (the Office Manager) about my anxiety she and the doc decided to do sedated dentistry for the appointment. Jess completely calmed my fears and explained exactly how the appointment would go. She promptly responded to all of my emails and put my mind at ease. I was completely wowed by the world class level of service and personalized attention I was given. The appointment went off without a hitch and I left with a smoothie! I have been going to Dr. Friedman for many years and can not say enough about not only his expertise in dentistry but also about every single friendly, caring staff member and a modern comfortable office suite as well.

BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER! SERIOUSLY...MOD Squad Dental deserves 10 Stars!! Where do I even start? The lobby has more comfortable chairs than my house. Heck... the lobby has more comfortable chairs than LA-Z-BOY! The only downside was that I didnt get more than a couple minutes in the chair because they were so prompt that they took me right back for my cleaning with no wait. They probably dont want to leave you in the lobby that long because the chairs are so comfy you might fall asleep.So there I was... Admiring the amazing decor in the office on my walk to my chair...OH WAIT....whats that wonderful smell?!?! Oh... Its fresh baking bread. I dont think Ive ever been to a dental office with such an amazing aroma. Ive even been in bakeries that didnt smell this good!I get to my chair which is basically my own private room. You dont have to have other patients watch you get a cleaning. You get the utmost privacy.The room came equipped with its own DirecTV enabled flat screen on ceiling and my own remote. Was able to watch TV during my cleaning. AMAZING!The dental chair came equipped with a back massager (with remote) and a heated neck pillow. I felt like I was at the Ritz.Amy the hygienist was absolutely amazing. The most gentle touch on the best cleaning I ever had!! After the cleaning they handed me a heated towelette to wipe my face. WOW!Dr. Friedman was great!! Extremely nice. Great sense of humor. Very informative. Was able to tell me exactly what needed to be done for a slight orthodontic adjustment I requested.Jessica the office manager was wonderful as well. Made sure the whole experience was awesome.This was my first trip here and I will be back!!I highly recommend MOD Squad Dental. You will not regret going here!

After moving to San Diego two years ago, I made an appointment with a new dentist. Ive always been to the dentist every 6 months for a cleaning and have never needed anything more than a small filling - the last one over 20 years ago. Imagine my surprise and skepticism when I walked away from a cleaning being told I needed almost $5000 of work. I decided I should get a second opinion, but waited a year before deciding to see Dr Friedman. Although he did find I had some cracked teeth, his course of treatment was much more conservative which came with a price tag much more reasonable. I also take my teenaged son there, and he loves the office environment with TVs to watch while lying flat on your back, mouth wide open and a refrigerator stocked with drinks to choose from on your way out.

Excellent dental work in the friendliest and most comfortable dental office there is. No more stress when visiting the dentist You wont find a better office! A+++++

Everything about the office promotes a calming and relaxing setting. The decor is new and updated. The lighting, paint, furniture, and even a pleasant scent. There wasn’t a missed detail. Everyone is friendly and I’m greeted immediately when I come in. It makes me feel really comfortable. My Dental Hygienist was Jenina. She did a periodontal cleaning for me. She has excellent technique. I never felt any pain or discomfort. Jenina gave me really good aftercare instructions. The front desk gave me the copies of paperwork I would need for my HSA and what to give them. Two days later Jenina called to make sure I was doing good after the procedure and answer questions I might have. This is the first time I’ve have received follow up care. I can tell Jenina genuinely cares about her patients. I’m a patient of MOD Squad for life and I’m telling all my coworkers because of their excellent service, patient care and take our insurance.

Where do i begin? I think it might be unhealthy to love my dentist office as much as I do lol. From the minute you walk in the door the squad makes you feel welcome and comfortable. So my experience all started last year when a filling fell out while I was pregnant. I hadnt lived in SD for nearly 8 years and needed a doctor. I looked on up on my dental website and after explaining my situation and making an appointment I go in to having the office being a HOT MESS, Just terrible service. They didnt have everything from my doctor (because being pregnant you need a doctors ok). But they didnt call me to tell me the doctor never called or else i would of been on top of this. They were also late in opening. So I saw this all as a sign and I looked up a dentist on YELP and then confirmed they took my insurance. This is how I found Mod Squad.I came in and fell in love with the staff and the doctor. They are amazing.I then told my husband, who hadnt been to the dentist for over 7 years, that he HAD to see them and that he would like them. And he did. My husband needed a lot of work, he doesnt take care of his teeth at all and is a huge pain in the arse.But he came in did everything that he needed, he actually needs to make an appt for a cleaning.Theyve helped my fix my from teeth, that were broken by my idiot brother when I was very young. Front teeth were broken, had a double root canal, and needed crowns.I get my perm crowns in two weeks and Im so proud to have a smile Im proud and happy about. Its been really expensive, we did have to use care credit which is the financing they offer only in 12 month increments, but its better than nothing.But its been worth every penny.The staff is great and so is Jess and the Doc. I will post before and after pictures in a few weeks. I am so excited!

I was referred to Mod Squad about two years ago, and they have been excellent! The staff is very personable, and they are overall friendly. I had to bring my son with me to the appt, and the owner took my son and showed him around the office and kept him occupied so that I could get my teeth cleaned. I absolutely love this place and how professional they are. I would recommend ANYONE to this place! I wish they were able to work on children, because I definitely want my son to come here.BY the way, Ive never, NEVER, had a long wait when I come in the office. Prime example, I had a dentist appt yesterday and got there 5min before my appt. I barely sat down before I was offered lemon water (which I love), and my dentist came out and got me and took me back. I didnt have to check in at the front desk since they know me there, and were already waiting for me. Theyre fast yet efficient, and their quality of work is excellent. The decor is calming, and everyone has a smile on their face. This place is amazing.
