I went here for my braces 9 years ago and had a phenomenal experience- my teeth are one of the most complimented thing about me. Recently, I had an unfortunate event at my dentist which ended in my permanent retainer breaking. I traveled from Chapel Hill to for a consult from Dr. Kent because of how much I enjoyed this facility. Dr. Kent & the rest of the team didn’t miss a beat. They worked quickly and flawlessly to squeeze in my surprise retainer removal, made a mold of my teeth for a replacement, and fixed my night time retainer... all of which I had not warned them about in advance. Dr. Kent was reassuring and kind, and even though it was the dentist who had broken my retainer, Dr Kent compensated me for the removal of the permanent retainer. I had a great experience and would recommend to any and all!!

Dr. Kent and his staff have been amazing! My daughter has been a patient there for about 4 years and the treatment has been great! Their staff is always so friendly and make each visit such a pleasant experience. They have been prompt, flexible when needed, professional, and her teeth look great! Ive gone in for a consultation to a few other orthodontics offices and so far I hadnt committed to any one place until now! Carolina Braces and Robert Kent and Associates Orthodontics has made me feel more comfortable than other places I have visited and they will work with me financially. Dr. Kent is wonderful! Dr. Kent always has time to talk to me about my daughters treatment! Her teeth look amazing and he uses top of line products that move the teeth faster and more effectively than other low cost brackets that other orthodontist use. I have nothing but exceptional things to say about Dr. Kent. He is professional, smart and one of the top orthodontist in NC. His prices are very reasonable and for the type of treatment you get amazing. Highly recommend.

I originally saw Dr. Kent about 5 years ago when he replaced one of my permanent retainers (which I had for almost 20 years) and had a great experience. A couple weeks ago, my other permanent retainer broke...the Thursday before Labor Day weekend! It was really uncomfortable to say the least, but not really an emergency. I called Dr. Kents office Thursday morning and they told me he was out of town but Dr. Mott could work me in to the schedule if I came by their new office on the corner of Sawmill and Six Forks. What a cool office! I know they cater to a lot of children and young adults, but the decor and atmosphere of the office was fun and modern. Very inviting and friendly, not like any other dentist or orthodontists office Ive ever seen! Dr. Mott and his staff were wonderful and got me back in business in less than ten minutes. I work in a very hectic office and I really appreciated that they could have me in and out so quickly. I would highly recommend Dr. Kent and his friendly staff to anyone in the area, they made me smile!

The staff at Carolina Braces is always friendly and professional. My son Bryce has been a patient for about 2 years and we love our CB Family. My son has had to have several impressions for retainers as hes either lost or broken them and they always remember the issue my son has with taking impressions and I dont have to remind them or say a word. In addition Dr. Kent always makes himself available and wont leave your side until hes answered every question.

Dr. Kent is so much fun!! I love playing the games! And the contest each month. Plus the card that is so cool that I can have points put on and get free stuff. Plus some of my friends come here. Worst possible experience. My child was a customer here and lost the tooth during the orthodontic treatment . After 7 years using retainer and fake tooth there is now an implant. Dr Kent or the office didn’t help us any way, no money back or anything. To get the implant and fix the bad job has cost us about $3000. One of the hygienist is working at the dentist we meet nowadays and told that our child was “the talk of the town” when the tooth came loose. I don’t recommend Dr. Kent.

Carolina Braces is amazing. They are great with working around my busy schedule; from school, wedding, and job. They are efficient at appointments, but still take the time to hear any concerns with treatments. Annie was great giving information and providing the chewies to help align the Invisalign better. I highly recommend Carolina Braces, especially those I know who find it hard to work around busy schedules. You will not be disappointed with the results!!

Dr. Kent is by far the best orthodontist in the triangle. My daughter had two sets of braces with another orthodontist in the area and I could not have been more dissatisfied so we chose Carolina Braces when it was time for my son to get braces. Not only did he only have to wear them less than two years, but he always received the best care. Dr. Kent gives every patient his personal cell number in case of issues or concerns. His staff is so helpful and always very friendly. My other son will be getting his braces there soon, I would not go anywhere else for orthodontic care!

Thank god my experience with this office is over. Braces have been off for years and the only reason i had to revisit this place was because my mom threw out my retainers and I needed replacements. When I went to the initial appointment I waited for at least 45 minutes because i was told not to sign in by the front desk. After 30 minutes, I checked the front desk and they had me sign in. Mistakes happen, okay. Once I was in the back to get a mold taken of my teeth for new retainers for be made for me, the man taking the mold didnt say a word to me- okay, maybe he doesnt like to talk. Once he did speak to me, it was nothing about the $500+ retainers i was about to purchase- it was a question about my major(s). And thats cool, whatever... But he proceeded to tell me not to minor in womens studies...... Never asked his opinion. He finished what he was doing and walked me to the front where I had to send the employee at the front desk back and fourth to make sure that my retainers were exactly what I needed because I got no information from the man taking my molds nor did i see him check or write down anything. Fine. After this experience (having to send back receptionist to assistant to make sure Im getting what I need because my experience left me unsure) I called after I got home just to make sure Im getting what i need.... You know, committing the crime of assuring Im paying for a service I trust to be completed perfect the first time... A receptionist answered the phone and got frustrated at my question. Anyways, I got my retainers and the office has recently sent me a reminder email to come in and make a retainer check up. I called this morning to do that (finally) and had a really unpleasant encounter with Theresa on the other end of the phone.Before I continue- Ill say that Im busy. I work 2 jobs, I go to school more than full time, AND Im juggling a teaching practicum right now and so when I have an appointment to make I need to be sure that Im not going to be double booking myself and that Im going to be where I say Ill be. I called this morning and she offered me an appointment at 10:50 on January 8th. I repeated it back to her: so on January 8th at 10:50 in the morning? (I thought she said 2... Which would be afternoon) and she replies in a snarky tone well yes 10:50 in the morning.... We wont be here at 10:50 at night. Im not sure if shes used to getting away with smart a** comments or if shes used to talking to children, but either way Im not here for this. Id rather my retainer be all wrong leaving my teeth looking like theyre throwing up gang signs than go back to that office. Its unacceptable. Maybe she thought my question/confirmation was stupid.... But her job description is not to come back with less than charming responses. Simple yes or no.

Love this office...its why we continue to travel from Apex. Dr. Kent and Dr. Foley are both very competent, and the office is adorable and up-to-date with the latest technology (iTero scanners, x-ray machines, etc.). Their staff is excellent, and their scheduling is super efficient (seriously, we have never had to wait to be seen for any appointment, and we (me in braces, 16 yo daughter in Invisalign) have been in treatment for almost a year. Since we have had such a positive experience, just started my 13-year-old in Invisalign, too. Primo Invisalign provider!! Keep up the great work! :-)

My experience here has been amazing. While they tend to run behind schedule (15-30min) the staff, technicians, and Dr. Kent could not have been nicer. As an adult getting braces, I was hesitant, but Dr. Kent put those fears to rest. Just a word of advice, book your appointments as far ahead as you can, this place is always busy.

I had braces for about two years and i also have has a retainer for about two years.... i still have to wear my retainer every second of the day of else my teeth move. im so upset.
