Dr. Hewett was amazing. He was very kind and caring. He pulled my tooth and none of it hurt at all. The hygienist Alisa was amazing as well. Both explained everything being done in great detail. No dentist I ever went to explained things this well to me. I highly recommend going to vivid dental.

I’m new to the area and I’m so happy to find them. They offer an affordable yearly plan to those with no dental insurance along with discounted treatments. They are all so friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They take the time to explain things to you. I had a whitening tray made and was surprised when I received a call 2 hours later saying it was ready! No stress atmosphere. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have been coming to Vivid Dental (formerly Carolina Family Dentistry) for about 5 years now. I love this place. They have a friendly staff, and always worked with me on getting the best and most affordable service I can get but never lacked in the performance department because I may have needed assistance even when I was out of work. I do agree that sometimes you can be in the chair for a bit but that is what happens when you have a busy and full day because you are an excellent facility all around.

I have been going to this dentist for about 6+ years i had started going back to the dentist after not going for a couple years and this is where i chose to go they are all so helpful and they are quick with getting me and out and very helpful if I am having any tooth pains. Vivid Dental is awesome and affordable. I have been coming here over a year now and ither dentists office in Raleigh were trying to charge me double of what Vivid Dental charges. Their staff is super knowledgable and explains everything in detail. They are pretty fast with appointments as well. Im normally in and out within an hour. Definitely try them out, you will not be disappointed!

I have been coming to this office for several years and the experience has always been good. The office is clean and the staff are always friendly. It is a busy office but I have never had any trouble being seen by the doctor and the occasional filling I have had to get has never caused me any trouble.

I highly recommend Carolina Family Dentistry! Just like a lot of people, I dread going to the dentist. But after a very positive experience here I wont be so nervous in the future. Dr. Hewett is very kind. His expertise and bedside manner really put me at ease. The rest of the staff is great as well. Everyone is professional yet personable. The extended hours in the evening and on the weekend have been super convenient too.

My family told me I should check out this Dentist. I was able to get an appointment for me and my four kids. It is very hard to fit us all in on the same day but they were very helpful and nice. The kids love going to the dentist now because they can get a toy. My new dentures fit so nice i can eat whatever I want now. We wont be going anywhere else.

I had a minor chip in one of my front teeth and just came in to get the chip filled in. The paperwork was quick and easy, and I only had to wait for about 5 minutes! I was impressed with the fact they had TVs in each treatment room, so waiting wasnt a drag in there either. I waited in the dentist chair about 5 minutes as well. Dr. Hewett was phenomenal. He was quick and it is very difficult to even see the line between my actual tooth and the filling. It was a quick, painless procedure. This isnt my regular dentist, but I am definitely considering switching! I think its worth my drive from Durham to visit this office. I was definitely impressed.

Very friendly staff. I didnt have insurance and they offered me their discount plan so now Im not broke. My teeth feel squeaky clean and the people there were very friendly to me. Dr. Hewett went into plenty of detail so now I know more about my teeth than I need to know. No complaints at all. Loved the experience.

This is the third dentist Ive tried since moving to Raleigh. Unlike the others, this office quickly and easily sorted out my insurance information, provided a THOROUGH exam of my mouth, and discussed the best options to get and keep me healthy. Everyone there was eager to help with whatever they could and answer any questions or concerns that I had. Im so happy that I found this dentist office!

This is by far the best dentist that I have ever had the pleasure of seeing, I had braces for 5 years and came to fear the dentist with a distinct tingle in my spine when I would walk through the door. This office and the wonderful people who work there have completely changed my opinion on what a dentist visit is like, friendly well trained staff and awesome dentists make you feel at home and comfortable. I wont ever see another dentist again unless they work at Carolina Family Dentistry!

I show up on time for my appointments and theyre ready for me. The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable.

Vivid Dental is a great dental office. The entire staff is very friendly.

The dentist is rushed every time I go. He starts something the rushes to another room and this goes on every time. My last visit i waited 1 hr in the dentist chair before walking out. Another time my anesthesia wore off because I sat then was seen, then sat again. And after all of that, the work is shotty. If u have to ask ur assistant for advice then theres a problem here folks.

I have a video of my visit as to why I rated this dental office a one. On my visit I was asked to pay my portion of the bill before any service was rendered. I questioned why , I was directed to the office manager. I was told that the new owners policy was pay befor service. The (office manager informed me that if it was such a big deal , that I could get my money back and not receive service. I fine this to be very un professional. I’m sure she didn’t pay to have her hair colored green in advance. I referred someone to this practice that was unhappy with the quality of service and went somewhere else. As bad as it is to expect pay before service. It’s more appropriate to let it be known before you are in the dental chair, Agian I have a video of the whole visit.

We shall begin with the good...The dental hygienists themselves were great although seemingly rushed! Very good with my children, through & very kind. The office is also very clean and inviting. But the place is corporate ran as the receptionist informed me and despite having my insurance to bill they wanted all payment up front for what was expected to be the patients portion (Just to note In case like me you are accustomed to being billed by doctors/dentists for any remaining balance). The receptionist when calling in seemed rushed & bothered by me asking questions as well. And finally the dentist came in with a sales pitch at the end of each visit for the thousands of dollars of work mine & my kids teeth apparently need despite having no cavities & great X-rays.... they provided me with a laundry list of work I should have done including removing my wisdom teeth which have never proven to be a problem. She also showed me the discoloration on several of my teeth and tried to convince me they needed to be filled before they became cavities- full on stop! The dentist Ive seen for 10 years prior to coming here has never once mentioned such & FYI its discoloration perhaps try selling me something to whiten it not a filling to keep it from becoming a cavity ... They did fill one small cavity on my sons baby tooth that could become an issue for the tooth below that in retrospect we probably could have left alone seeing its going to fall out soon. Wishing Id gotten a second option before doling out the cash to have it filled plus I had to take my son back because he couldnt floss between the teeth anymore after the filling and the dentist seemed so bothered she had to repair the work she didnt do well. - its like a dealership for your mouth with the sales person aka dentist trying to push sales for procedures that probably and/or arent necessary but that will make corporate money. My family will not be back... we arent dollar signs we actually want quality honest care. Update: for my childrens visit I was told I had to pay upfront but for mine I didnt pay upfront for the same services- what I did pay them upfront did not reflect the dollar amount my insurance says I owed after it was billed on my EOBs - I actually should have paid less - wonder if Ill get a refund? Going to take valuable time to call to sort this out with them - also I got a second opinion on my teeth to follow up with the laundry list I was given of treatments needed & was told none of that was necessary as I had no cavities and my wisdom teeth were just fine - if Id let her fill the possible cavities I would actually have had issues down the road- in the end the way in which this business functions is shady... making people pay too much upfront & pushing unnecessary procedures. One more addition: I got a call from a pharmacy informing me a prescription was ready for me to pick up-inquired from where & for what as I don’t use that pharmacy & did not know of any prescription - i was informed it was the dentist calling In a special toothpaste... that she didn’t inform me about? I’d knock this down to 1 star if the hygienists themselves weren’t nice!

I chose this office because it is covered by my insurance and I am happy I did! The staff is very friendly and they have been right on time for my appts. They even worked me in for an unexpected visit with only an hours notice. TVs in the exam rooms are an added bonus! Highly recommend.

I very much appreciate Dr. Hewett and his staff. They are friendly, helpful and quick to get my family in if we have a problem.Dr Hewett replaced my crown after discovering a cavity underneath. I hate shots and he gave the best novocaine shot I have ever had. No pain! Yay! The new crown is perfect.He has continued to provide excellent routine care and followup for me. Recently, he inspected my tongue for a chronic sore and discovered that two older crowns had developed chips that were irritating my tongue and quickly fixed the problem.He and his staff also care for my elderly mother and stepfather (86 years old!) as well as my son. Dr Hewett did a great job repairing my mothers dentures. He removed a tooth and repaired some teeth for my stepfather and provided great, routine care for my son. All of them are pleased with his expert, thoughtful, and kind care of our family.We all highly recommend Carolina Family Dentistry!

RIP OFF: Last year waited two plus hours even though I had an appointment then the hygienist didnt even clean my teeth she just sprayed them down with a water pick. Told me I had two pre cavities that didnt need to be filled yet. Now I try to make a new appointment because I didnt want the expense of starting over somewhere else and they want to charge me for more X-rays and another cleaning just to fill the cavities.

Very good office staff and doctor. Had dental work done 11/3/16 and I would recommend everyone to dr Hewitt he is the the real deal thank you from lacrystal..

Dr. Hewitt,I have an issue with your offices billing policy / process, and how long it took for your office to process my refund (I had to call the office to remind them that they owed me a refund - it was magically processed that day), and then not being allowed to talk to anyone besides the same billing person to straighten out the full refund promised/due to me. Very poor customer service.

They were awesome,friendly and most of all gently removed two teeth with no problem! Will be going back!

BEST.DENTIST.EVER.got my wisdom tooth taken out- no gas was used and it honestly took maybe ten minutes for the actual procedure. the nurse sat and talked like we had been friends for years and the doctor was super nice and never said a word about how bad my teeth were(huge overbite and some neglected fillings)- a blessing for me as i hate when dentists get judgy.I remember laughing when she said all done! because i was SO nervous and she didnt hurt me at ALL i felt NOTHING! and it was over so fast i had to laugh, i was so relived.and let me say that again, no gas- NO PAIN!super affordable too, expected to come in and spend 800 dollars as i dont have insurance, i paid less than half that!!!I would shout my love for this dentist from the ROOFTOPSthere was one woman working at a computer in the front that made a very rude face at me, but i was also talking ALLOT because i was so nervous. but the other women were so supportive, the check in lady even stopped me on the way out to ask how it went and if it was worth getting so worked up about and i told her i was silly to be afraid and it was the best dentist i had ever seenthey even let me take my tooth home!!(most places no longer let you take your tooth!!)ALSO VERY CLEAN!!! didnt even see bootmarks on the floor!will go back unafraid!!! such an amazing place.

There are not enough stars to give. Great place for service, great staff, on time appointments, great advice for parents and kids. My daughter 9 felt scared going but came out happy with staff wanting to go back. Attidude with kids awsome, they have a way with kids. They ask quiestion to better assisst on service and feed back. Great place to visit dont let area judge service.Good and recommended place to visit for children and I do not doubt adults too. They are nice and careful with the children, I loved how my 9-year-old daughter felt with those who work there, informants in what they do to her, and they are going to do, they ask for details to better assist .. nice place for the money ..
