Dr. Powell and team at Carolina Dental Arts Glenwood are the best! From my normal visits every 6 months to fitting me into a busy schedule when I cracked a filling or needed a root canal the Carolina Dental Arts team has been great on providing the quick and professional care needed and have been easy to work with. If you are looking for a new dentist I’d highly recommend.

This is my first dentist visit - ever. I arrived to the office and the front desk associate gave me the most warmest welcome in. She was so friendly yet professional. First impressions are everything (especially the first face you see in an office). The practice is also very neat and clean.I actually arrived thinking my appointment was that day. However, it wasn’t for another 2 weeks. I was completely okay with coming back then but they were kind enough to fit me in!The staff here and Dr. Powell are so friendly and kind. The DH (Izzy?) was also very knowledgeable and made my initial dentist visit a comfortable one!

Thank you Carolina Dental Arts for seeing my daughter, as a new patient, within 2 hours of me calling. My daughter is leaving for college in two weeks, and needed a wisdom tooth removed. The dentist saw her for the first time , and was able to extract the bothersome tooth, all in the same visit. I couldn’t believe how fast they got us in and out. The staff was great! They were friendly and very adapting to our schedule. We’ll definitely use them again!

Something I’d like to point out is that there’s practically no wait time to see the doctor after your hygienist cleans your teeth. I’d recommend them to everyone!

I can’t say enough about how thrilled I am with my first visit to this practice. The cleaning that was done was very comprehensive and comfortable. Probably the best I’ve ever had! I had bonding done to my two front teeth, after many years of being a little bit embarrassed about the receding gums that I had and the gap’s between my teeth. Dr. Powell did a fantastic job, and when I looked in the mirror I actually got tears in my eyes. I cannot highly recommend more! Also, get the Glo whitening. It is incredible without sensitivity. You’ll be impressed with your beautiful pearly whites.

By far the best dental experience of my life!!After years of neglect I was very nervous seeing the dentist. Dr Chris and his staff (especially Darryel) made me feel so comfortable. I was always hesitant on going to the dentist because I dont have any dental insurance and when I explained this to Dr Chris he drastically reduced his prices. Dont let the lack of insurance stop you from taking care of your teeth!!

Had a lovely experience with my time at CDA, my hygienist Lauren was very thorough and professional while still making my visit a fun time. Darrell at the front office also worked with me on my insurance and helped me figure out many confusing billing points.

I love Carolina dental arts for all of my dental needs Dr. Powell is a wonderful dentist... However my orthodontist experience has been pretty bad at best my son and I got braces here about a week ago and the process has taken WAY longer than expected (not completely the fault of Carolina Dental Arts) however when they final got everything situated and we got our braces put on it was not what we had discussed. I was supposed to get clear in the front and the rest the regular metal when I got up they were all metal I am explaining this to the hygienist and she is making up anything to say that she can think of she even told me that they do not mix them (except I had braces before so I know that they do) my previous experience there was something put on my teeth to help make sure that my mouth closes evenly and the hygienist didnt know what I was talking about it seems a lot like they have not done this many times and they are almost trying it out on me which if that is the case then I should have been made aware and I should not be paying experienced prices... Dr. Powell is great but I am feeling like maybe getting my braces here may have been a mistake I just wanted to do the experience with my son... I have to wait 3-4 weeks for them to make the correct ones. My rubber bands are coming off I would be lying if I didnt admit that I am nervous about the outcome of this expensive process proceed with caution ...

I have been coming here for the past few years(well here and another one of their locations). Carolina Dental has always been great to deal with and have accomodated my chaotic work schedule and have even squeezed me in when I didnt think it would be possible. My wife even had braces put on recently here and has been really pleased so far.

Very inviting office and the staff goes out of their way to make your experience a good one. The office lighting is great too, nice and bright.. not like other low light dental offices. Highly recommend giving Carolina Dental Arts a try.

Dental hygienist and dentist were both friendly and helpful, however, office staff were not very pleasant. I tried to schedule an appointment and they never returned my call so I switched to a completely different dentist practice.

Most bizarre experience Ive ever had at any doctors. When I arrived, there was a heated conversation happening between one of the hygienists and the front office staff. Apparently this was a contract hygienist (thats a thing) who works at several different offices but was unhappy about her hours because she lived 45 minutes away. She claimed this would be her last day there because of their scheduling (whoever the owner is wasnt there to address this) and that she wouldnt take any more hours. Well guess who the lucky patron was who got to have his teeth cleaned by her? While she could be called courteous, she was certainly aggressive in work and passive aggressive to the techs who worked there. She had no clue how to use the computer program they had and needed help with the bite wings. If this wasnt bizarre enough, the actual dentist who showed up was also contracted in and this was her first day! She was very professional, but also didnt know how to use the computer system and needed help.Now, lets go back to the part about the hygienist being aggressive; she made every single one of my teeth bleed. To the point that when the dentist came in, the dentist was actually confused at how HEALTHY my gums were, but didnt understand why they were bleeding so much and irritated. Trapped in the professional politics of a dentist office I had never been to, and paired with two contract individuals leaning over me who werent familiar with each other or the location apparently, I just shrugged it off. The hygienist had the nerve to suggest I think he just needs to brush more. Of course.Ive thought about this experience quite a bit, and was really hoping someone would reach out from the office to ask how the visit was, send me a survey, do something - anything. But its been a few months and the first voicemail I got from them was a couple days ago, letting me know they had tried to contact me a few times about a small outstanding balance that my insurance didnt cover.Maybe my experience is an outlier, but the complete lack of professionalism across the entire process is baffling for such a specialty, albeit commoditized, service.

The staff are the most caring and compassionate people I have ever met.Cordarrel is one of my favorite people, he always remembers who I am. He has been extremely helpful to me. He makes me laugh and smile, even when I don’t feel like it. I’m one of those patients that have chronic tooth problems. The staff and the dentist are just loving, with no judgement, which is exactly what I needed. Cordarrel has always gone above and beyond for me. I feel so blessed.

Today was my first trip here amd it was amazing. They deserve more than 5 stars. I was treated with respect and had a deep cleaning. Would highly recommend to anyone who has ever feared the dentist because you will not have the feeling here. From Ariel who you meet when you first walk in showing you an amazing smile and is eber so welcoming to Dr.Roth and the rest of his staff! I cant wait to continue my journey with you guys.

Dr. Powell, Sal, Arielle and the entire team are nothing short of amazing. I had a lot of dental work that needed to be done that I let go on way too long out of anxiety. They treated me with dignity, kindness, and respect. I dont have words for how much it means to have had this level of care through this experience.

Let me start off by saying I’ve been crippled with dental anxiety for most of my life. Aerial at the front desk calmed my nerves and took great care of me. Dr. Powell also alleviated my worries and set out a treatment plan that he thought was best for me and also took the time to address my personal concerns. I look forward to going back and getting treatments, for the first time in my life.

I have been going to Dr. Powell for several months now and he is by far the best dentist i have ever been to and this is coming from someome who HATES the dentist! He, and his staff, take the fear out of the dentist entirely. They make me feel so comfortable and he is my dentist forever! His staff is so welcoming and accommodating and they are the reason I checked Dr. Powell out and I have not regretted it. I have been to 4 dentists in the 3 years I have been in the Raleigh/Durham area and Dr. Powell eclipses them all! If you want a friendly, dedicated, superior dentist with the best staff...look no further! Hes a beast! Dont take my word for it (although you should)...try them out for yourself!

The staff at Carolina Dental of Glennwood South is very nice and attentive. The office and equipment looks brand new and Dr. Chris Powell made sure to explain all my options. It can be a bit a tricky to find as you have to enter from the back side of the building. There is plenty of metered parking is available on Glennwood and in the parking lot behind the building (main entrance). Appointments were easily made over the phone and through email (follow up appointment). I have been very happy with their service and will be back for my next cleaning.
