Allen Dave Funeral Home & Crematorium made a difficult process, easy for our family. They were personable and professional. Our mom had a pre-arranged cremation plan in place from Ohio. She passed away suddenly and we were not sure who would honor her arrangements. Allen Dave works with so many plans that it was not a problem. He accepted the plan and made arrangements within an hour to have our mom transported to his funeral home. There were no hidden costs or fees. This operation is staffed by some wonderful people. Namon worked with me and my husband regarding my fathers cremation. What the customers of a crematorium need is a sympathetic ear, patience, respect and understanding that we are not at our best. Namon had all of those qualities during our interactions with him. My reasons for taking off one star: an interaction with one of the staff was cold to the point of being rude, but this person only dealt with us briefly, and everyone is entitled to a bad day. But working in this field, one must err towards understanding over impatience. And I didnt realize that the crematorium itself was not local, so I was not able to attend the cremation as I had been able to do for my daughter. This may not be of the same importance to others as it is to me, but by the time I learned this, it was too late to make changes. This might be common practice, I have very little to compare it to, but I wish I had known from the start. But regardless of all that, the people and the service were very good and I would recommend them to others.

We just had a funeral there on Saturday for my cousin Johndavid Corley. These were the kindest most compassionate people. They were all extremely sweet and very helpful thru the process. I highly recommend this funeral home.

We called Allen Dave Funeral 12/26/18 after my grandfather, Vernon Patrick transition to be with the Lord. Mr. Rashad Cleveland met us at the hospital to pick up my grandfather, he was extremely comforting and professional. We truly felt that our loved one were in good hands! We later met more staff including Mr.Allen Dave who was very warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and professional, and also Mr. Anthony who was extremely funny and made us feel right at home. On 1/4/2019 Mr. Derrick picked the family up, he was very encouraging, patient and met all of our needs. Thanks to everyone. Rashad and his team provided the utmost care, patience, sympathy, love, professionalism and attention to detail when my grandmother passed away. They were there from the beginning and followed through all the way until the end. Handling a visitation in Houston, personally driving her to Tennessee for another visitation and her funeral services and to her final resting place. They were so attentive to our family and our needs. We were treated like a part of their royal family. We are so blessed God orchestrated this unexpected meeting resulting in a forever relationship for all our families future funeral needs.

Awful service and very poor communication. My family has been waiting for months for them to install a headstone. We paid the money and no response. Its a shame that it taken this long. If you want poor communication and slow service Do not go to them. They are only after MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible service Anthony was very rude on the phone!!!

To date, I have not received my daughters death certificates.She passed at the beginning of April. We didnt get her remains until the day before mothers day, and even then we were asked to pick them up in the middle of someones grandmothers wake.When I asked the assistant who was there, she said it would take time. And if I wanted it faster I could do it myself.When I spoke with Pam asking about why her remains were not in the $200 urn that we sent to the funeral home, she said they didnt know how to open it. We told her before we purchased it and was told theyve done that kind numerous times.She also found my frustration funny when asked why it took a month and no phone calls from her about the status of picking up her remains. She just kinda laughed and gave (essentially) a things happen kind of laugh.When asked if our memorial jewelry was even filled, she said yes. But of course we cant open it to check for ourselves, because she kept what we we needed to fill the jewelry ourselves if it indeed wasnt done. I dont believe it was done because of the urn issue.I wanted to wait to leave a bad review until we at least got our death certificates, basically everything we paid for, but it seems like this will never happen.Quick to take the money, slow to provide the service. Cremations done on site shouldnt take over a month. But what do I know?Feel like we got ripped off in a very troubling time for us. I pray to never need another funeral home anytime soon. But, I definitely wont be coming back here for anything. And, I wont recommend others to come either.

It is an awful thing when the funeral home directors WILL add deceit with malicious intent to a grieving family. When you have been chosen and trusted at such a vulnerable point to be anything less than completely transparent is UNACCEPTABLE. Allen Dave Funeral Home poured more pain into the hearts of my grieving family. BEWARE of Allen Dave Funeral Home represent betrayal with absolutely no loyalty or honesty in their words. Dave Allen Funeral Home should be banned from providing this service. It is a HONOR Allen Dave Funeral cannot be trusted to handle. The service received with Allen Dave Funeral reminded me of Judas Iscariot. Pretending to be trustworthy but not.

The amount of frustration that I have at this point is beyond a 1 star review. My family used your services to bury my aunt. As our family starts the healing process we come to find the fraudulent activities that have taken place with her arrangements and arrangements that were made with future plots. No good will ever come to you and your business. I hate to have to give such a negative review to an African American business when the cards are already stacked against us as a whole. Put I wouldnt be able to function properly knowing your are probably in the acts of handling the arrangements to another undeserving family! This doesnt stop with Facebook. Its only the starting point!
