Bradshaw Cater is phenomenal to work with. During such a hard time for my grandmother Tripp Carter made things so easy for her. She can be demanding with lots of questions at times and he handled everything beautifully. He was flexible and always available when she had concerns. He would help ease her concerns and did so so much for her. He went above and beyond. Plus he is an absolute joy to speak with and get to know! If you are looking for services where the customer service leaves you feeling like they are one of the family to help lay your loved one to rest, this is hands down the place! Tripp was so assiduous from start to finish. If you can work with Tripp.. do.. you will not be disappointed. Such a blessing!

Bradshaw Carter is the BEST funeral home. When my father in law passed, they were with me every step of the way. They treated me like family! They paid attention to every detail. He was cremated at their facility and the best part was he never left the safety of the funeral home until his urn was ready to return to us. I felt relieved that I chose this company. Dear sir, I wish I could say this was a mistake as you indicated in your reply message but unfortunately such is not the case. I did reach out to your funeral home twice the first person I spoke to was on a Sunday a gentleman by the name of Raymond and then I called back the next day Monday and spoke to a lady named Susie Smock. I attended a large service at your funeral home on Saturday, June 19, 2021, and wanted to share with you some feedback of what we observed and experienced as guests of how unorganized and unprepared things felt. First of all upon arriving we were waiting in line trying to find parking but were instructed that we needed to valet as the parking area you have was not enough for those in attendance. I asked one of the police officers on the street who directed us to the valet where our vehicles would be and he stated either across the street in your parking area which was almost at capacity or at the grocery store parking. We finally got in and could not find any seating in your chapel so we followed the crowd to a living room area where the service was being shown. The two gentleman who seemed to in charge of the service seemed very unorganized one kept coming up and making announcements about moving people and open seats. After they closed the casket the other gentleman climbs behind the casket to close the curtains and adjust them and then later on another lady came back up in what looks like a housekeepers uniform to tug on the curtains again to open them and almost fell over the flowers. Then the same two guys come back after everyone is dismissed and open the casket in the middle of people exiting and moving around. It looked very unorganized and not what I have experienced with other funeral homes like McCoy and Harrison or Troy B. Smith.

My father died unexpectedly on July 29th at only 67 years of age. I had no idea how to even begin to set up a funeral, as I was obviously struck with grief and shock. My husband found out about this funeral service company via Google, and gave them a call. They were incredible every step of the way. We had a beautiful service to celebrate my fathers life. They were even able to get a rabbi in short notice to participate in the service and lead the prayers. The most impressive part was that most of my family lives in Brazil, and they were all able to join in via broadcast. They livestream the services, which was very special. My dads brother, cousins, and nephews would not be able to make it to the USA with COVID, so thank goodness for Tripp and his team. My dads friends and family from all over the world, from Brazil to Paris, to New York, could all able to say goodbye to him thanks to the broadcasting service. They did an outstanding job securing the death certificate for me so I could start to handle my dads estate. They were quick, professional, and kind throughout the whole process of retrieving the certificates. I thought that the prices were reasonable, but the price for renting the casket (like over $1,000 I believe) was quite high in my opinion. However, I do not know much about the business, so I just went with it. Still, we are very pleased with the service. Thank you for helping me say goodbye to my dad.

When my mother died, l was ill-prepared for my overwhelming grief and clueless about funeral planning. Warmly welcomed at the door by Tripp Carter, l knew l was home. He gave me an overview of the arrangements, LISTENED to my concerns, walked me through the process, located a very old pre-need policy, and personally provided ivy for the casket arrangement because the florist did not have any. Her grave side funeral was everything it could have been, honoring her life and comforting family and friends, much to the credit of Tripp. He is a many faceted person: supremely knowledgeable, preceptive, understanding, and he is my friend.

Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services was the best possible choice I could have made for taking care of my husband after his passing on 1/14/21. We were out of town, visiting family at the time when my husband became ill and passed away. I was unsure of where to turn. I called Bradshaw-Carter and spoke with Funeral Director, Clay Dippel. Clay was professional yet compassionate, knowledgeable, efficient and kind. We took care of all of the details by phone. Clay was very aware that I had to return home within a few days. I did not want to wait the several weeks other funeral homes required, then have his remains shipped. In this climate, I did not trust anything so precious being shipped to my home. Clay personally took care of every detail, and I was able to fly home with my husbands remains. In addition to Clay, I had the opportunity to meet/speak with Miss Marty, Mike Knutson and Susie...all very kind and equally professional. I liked the fact that they are a family-owned business and have been for many years. Their dedication shows. At the lowest point in my life, they took care of every detail in the kindest, most professional way. Bradshaw Carter organized and conducted a Graveside Burial Service for my mother who passed away in Houston, Texas on the 5th of December 2020. Some of the many elements of her funeral my sister and I had arranged, along with my mother at Bradshaw Carter, some five or six years previously. Due to the current Covid19 Restrictions Tripp Carter suggested that we do a Live Streamed service so that my partner and I, living in the UK, as well as those relations and friends living distantly could attend, virtually. With Tripp’s amazing help we were able to contract an excellent A/V Technician for the Live Streaming, amplification and service recording, write and publish an Obituary for the Houston Chronicle and Bradshaw Carter’s “Tribute” section of its excellent website, prepare a service, have service sheets printed and lovingly, respectfully take care of my mother’s final needs enabling ten of our close relations living in Houston to attend a wonderful service only ten days after my mother’s passing. My sister and I were exceedingly grateful for what turned out to be a very special, inspiring, harmonious and love-filled experience.Below is a copy of the email I sent to Tripp the day after the service:Dear Tripp,A huge thank you for organizing the service for my mother at Glenwood yesterday. I think it was everything Cindy and I (and my mother) could ever have wanted.I know youve done it hundreds of times before but the amount of organization it takes to do something like you did yesterday is daunting and you seemed to do it without any apparent stress and was there for us every step of the way with all the right answers to our questions and an attitude oftrue caring. It was truly wonderful to be able to sit in front of my computer monitor with Richard and watch and hear the whole thing and also to see my cousins and friends attending from other parts of the country. My 2 week old son passed away in May 2020. It broke my heart and soul as my husband and I had to prepare funeral arrangements for him. We interviewed Clay at Bradshaw Carter (as well another funeral home in our area), and immediately felt the difference. Clay is extremely personable, intelligent, and has a great memory. The funeral home is all but a funeral home. It is very comfortable and has many rooms with different themes. We chose the second floor private room for our baby since we only had 7 people in attendance total. They were able to accommodate huge flower arrangements and Clay even delivered the bouquets back to our house afterwards! It was an act of kindness he did not have to do but did because he could. The communication from BC and their associates has been superior. I was never left out of the loop for anything. Clay constantly checked in with us on our plans and never rushed us in any way. Having to bury your own child is the most sorrowful act a parent has to endure, but Clay truly made our experience seamless and easy. He waited outside the room during our service and periodically checked in with us. He was always sensitive and never overbearing. I usually only write reviews for worthy experiences, and this was definitely one of them. If you are contemplating inner Houston funeral homes to help you through your grief of burying a loved one, you should call BC and ask for Clay. If I had to do this all again, I would do it with BC again. Thank you for everything- I am grateful for you guys!

Bradshaw-Carter is nothing short of a blessing. My wife and I are so thankful that the owner has made such a beautiful place to lay our Daughter to rest. Our daughter was here for a very short amount of time and we had no idea what to do. Not only did they take care of everything regarding the arrangements with the hospital to the memorial service but they had a way of showing respect to her that I didnt realize a person could show to another person without knowing them. The owner handled our infant childs death with more dignity and respect than I thought humanly possible. The fact that this place is beautiful in every respect goes to show how much the ownership cares about the service they provide to the community. If there was a way to give more stars I would do it in a heart beat.I live in the Oak Forest neighborhood and my first instinct was to call the closest funeral home to our house which is Pat H. Foley & Company. As it turns out they are owned by Dignity Memorial and that company is owned by Service Corporation international. I was bounced around several times over the course of 24 hours and had the social workers at the hospital ask me why my daughter had not been picked up a day after she passed away. While being pushed from call center to call center Katie Dunkel, whos title is Funeral Director, was kind enough (intense sarcasm) to send me a fee schedule which was 10 times the amount of Bradshaw-Carter. This place has nothing to do with respecting the deceased but is set up to take your money and get you out of the way for the next grieving family that can pay their bloated fees. This company and the people they work there are horrible and dont deserve the money that people give them.

I cannot speak highly enough of Bradshaw Carter Memorial and Funeral Services. Twice in 9 months we have turned to them to take care of both parents. Both situations were stressful, heart wrenching and troublesome. Tripp Carter held our hand through the entire process. I have never witnessed more compassion and understanding than what my family experienced with Tripp and his staff. There were so many sensitive situations that our family needed to work around and yet Bradshaw Carter handled each of them above and beyond.Compassion and dignity is what we needed through both these situations and we received it all. Thank you Tripp and give your staff a heartfelt hug from all of us.

Tripp and his caring staff has just helped our family through the two worst months ever, as we lost my brother in law and my dad, only weeks apart. I agree with all the other testimonials; I cant imagine finding any group better able to guide and assist those of us who suffer the agony of losing our loved ones. I felt they had my back every step of the way, and their thoughtful suggestions made our events more streamlined, elegant, and personalized than I would have thought possible. Tripp helped us think outside the box, and came up with creative ideas which honored our loved ones and contributed so much to the celebrations of their lives. At the end of it all, I felt I had made new friends, and I will never forget how they were there for me during one of the most difficult times I hope I will ever face. Thanks again from the bottom of my healing heart, Martha

We have attended many services at Bradshaw Carter funeral home as well as having them handle both our parents funeral.Tripp and his staff were not only very professional, but also very sensitive to our needs in dealing with our loss. They treat you like a family, unlike one of the larger well known ones in Houston that just try to drain you dry and play on your emotions.I would strongly recommend Bradshaw Carter.

A family members death is almost never pleasant. The only positive aspect of my grandmothers death was Tripp Carter and his team at Bradshaw Carter. The night she died, I was on the phone with Tripp. I really didnt know what to do, but from that phone call Tripps team started putting a plan into action and they handled everything. None of our requests were a problem for them. The facility is absolutely beautiful, and the teams help made the best out of an awful situation.

I have had two really great experiences with Bradshaw Carter. The first time, a friend’s mother passed away. My friend did not have a lot of funds for a burial service but the owner, Tripp Carter, worked within her budget. He treated my friend with the upmost respect. My friend was so grateful. She commented that her mother didn’t have much in life but she was so happy that she could rest in such a beautiful environment and treated with such respect. The second experience I had was attending a friend of mine’s service. He was beloved by the community at large and it was a huge service. Bradshaw Carter did a great job handling the crowds and putting the service together.

I first encountered Bradshaw-Carter by word of mouth upon the death of my mother. Numerous friends recommended we hold the service there. Upon visiting, and upon meeting Tripp and his staff, my family clearly knew this was the right place. With zero familial experiences regarding funerals, Tripp was patient and thorough in walking us through the decisions that needed to be made, not just the “day of” but throughout, including helpful tips regarding death certificates and other things we would never have thought through without Tripp’s help. Bradshaw-Carter’s customer service went well above what was expected, and based on discussions with others who have used other funeral homes, the experience at Bradshaw-Carter makes all others pale by comparison. While it is unfortunate that my family has now been there several times in the past years, it is a great comfort to know that Tripp and the Bradshaw-Carter family are there to help ease the burden during troubling times. There is no other place we would consider going.

Bradshaw Carter and particularly Tripp Carter made our experience with my husbands premature death as less painful as possible. They are old school yet open and flexible to little nuanced requests we made or to sudden visits by family. I would highly recommend them because at a time like that, you want someone efficient yet warm and with no hassle.

For the reviewer with a negative review from a recent service, I would like to provide some further information. (Google wont let me respond to your review, so I have to post a new review). I was one of the people that you observed. The people you saw with name tags at the back of the church are church volunteers, who act as flower guild, alter guild and ushers for a funeral. We are not with the funeral home and any issues should not reflect on the funeral home. We take our volunteer duties seriously and consider it an honor to help families during these services, many of whom are much loved members of our church. If we were disrespectful, I am genuinely sorry, and it certainly was unintentional. Thank you for letting us know this happened, so we can make sure we dont leave other visitors with an unfavorable impression.

We could not have asked for a kinder or more professional group of people to help us through the death of our son. From the time we entered through the planning of his memorial service, we knew we had chosen the right place. Thank you to Tripp and everyone at Bradshaw-Carter, for providing such a positive experience for us at a difficult time.

I was not at all impressed with the staff and the laughing going on in the entry of the church during the service. I attended a service at St. John the Divine and this home was in charge. During the service I excused myself to use the ladies room and in the entry area of the church was a group of ladies sitting down next to each other on a bench and two men in suits standing. The ladies were having a full on conversation and laughing. I thought this was very rude and happened to look over at the ladies and noticed a name badge on them. I went back inside of the church for the service and at the end asked the lady on the car valet service who that lady was and explained to her what I had experienced. The valet lady said she was with the funeral team. I have never experienced such inappropriate behavior let alone in the sanctity of a church during a service. That is not the place or time for laughing or conversations and I would expect more from a funeral home.

Attended a service at Greek Cathedral handled by this funeral company did not feel they had adequate knowledge or staff for the number of guests in attendance. Lots of confusion at end of service as they were trying to exit us from church. Priest had instructed guests to walk up across the front but some were walk down middle aisle as other guest were trying to cross same path. After funeral everyone went to luncheon at church hall and then felt rushed off to cemetery.

I am a licensed funeral director from NYC. I came across an article written about the funeral home a few years ago online. After reading the article and visiting the website I am in complete awe. The facility is a physical refelection of the detailed service and attention that a family would receive. No man would invest so much energy, passion, money and their life into a building if they did not have an ultimate purpose to what they were trying to do.Without being in the home physically or witnessing a funeral being carried out I can say this is a five star facility. I have written three or four google reviews in my life. I was so impressed as a Funeral Director that I want the public to know Bradshaw - Carter or a Dignity Memorial Provider, there is NO comparison. Human beings that invested their life savings into serving the community at their ultimate time of need or employees collecting a pay check working for corporate concern, what more needs to be said? Its unfortunate that a funeral/funeral home/funeral service is an aspect that is not on the forefront of Ones mind or point of conversation until we require its purpose of existence. To sum it all up for the layman, going to Dignity Memorial is like going to McDonalds when your starving, Bradshaw - Carter is being starving and walking into grandmas house for your favorite home cooked meal......To Trip Carter if I ever make my way down to Houston I would love to meet you. I wish I had the honor of meeting Ron in life. What a visionary, talented and impressive human being he must of been. The photo of his layout I was convinced was fake when I stumbled upon the article and that it was for artistic purposes. The public may not know but this professional does. Kudos to you gentleman providing the unique, awe inspiring dream I could only wish to be a part of. May Bradshaw Carter serve as an eternal monument to Ron Bradshaw. Requiem In Pace.

We discovered last December that, due to a fatal birth defect, our son Liêm would not be with us long after his birth. We wanted to make arrangements ahead of time. Our team at Texas Children’s Hospital sent us a list of recommended funeral homes and we simply called the first name on the list.My wife and I feel extremely fortunate that we selected Bradshaw-Carter.Tripp Carter quickly replied to us and called personally to explain Bradshaw-Carter’s process and services with a reassuring regard for detail. We encountered this same regard in their warm, organized, and thorough manner of communicating and serving. We also found it in their elegant West Alabama location, which is one of the most memorable interiors in the state of Texas. The chairs a la Château de Malmaison, the boulle cabinet, the Ming porcelain, the Madonna and Child icon fragment, these art objects together form a lasting testament to the late Ron Bradshaw’s vision of softening sorrow with abundant, elegant appeals to all five senses. It all seemed beyond our means before we found they have a tradition of generously underwriting infant funerals. Our decision to carry our son to term was a matter of honoring him and treating him with dignity. Tripp Carter and the Bradshaw-Carter team understood this on a deep level.Behind their care for our family, and families in similar situations, we discerned a deep sense of beauty and charity that put us at ease at every step of the way. We will be forever thankful we had them as dependable partners in a momentous point in our lives. They went above and beyond for Liêm.
