I took my family here to make funeral arrangements for my dear uncle. Dora was incredibly nice thoughtful and very knowledgeable. She never made us feel rushed and answered all of our questions in both Spanish and English. She really guided us through the entire process and made my family feel comfortable and at ease. That really made a lasting impression on all of us. The funeral home was impeccably clean and smelled nicely it was bright and welcoming 🙏. She did an amazing job on my uncle made himb look so nice. I would definitely recommend this funeral home ask for Dora!

Im only giving 4 stars because the cost of the funeral/visitation has to be paid prior to the date. That was nerve-wracking and stressful. Otherwise Advantage would get 5 stars. The staff was great and everything was clean, presentable and professional. All I have to say is that youre never too young to start planning your service because it is costly and it will help reduce the stress for your loved ones as they WILL want to honor your legacy the best that they can.

I wanted to leave this review as I was so very impressed with my visit to Advantage Funeral Home in Bellaire. I was there as support for a friend who just lost a loved one. I entered the funeral home to find a clean and nice lobby with a calming smell. I was then greeted by a young man who introduced himself immediately as John. I told him I was waiting on my friend and I was a bit early he kindly told me to have a seat and then immediately offered water. He informed me as soon as my friend arrived to let him know and he would get the Funeral Director Dora. He made pleasant conversation instead of seating me and just walking away. When my friend arrived he lead me into the arrangement room and offered water to my friend as well. John then said he would go let Dora know she had arrived. Upon entering Ms. Benavidez was very kind and compassionate. Dora was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. She made everything very easy as this was the first time my friend had ever been put in this situation. Dora took her time and explained everything very clearly and calmly and answered all her questions. I was amazed how easy Dora made the whole process, I felt like she truly cared and it showed. I can’t say enough about her. I would recommend this Funeral Home to anyone who is in need of this service. You will find no pressure or hard selling for upgrades. I could keep going, but you won’t go wrong with choosing this funeral home it was a very pleasant experience when going through something as bad as losing a loved one.

My mother, Patsy Isley, suddenly passed away last month. We knew her wishes for burial, but we had never made any plans. We went to one Dignity Funeral home, however the cost was not reasonable, we were told about Advantage Funeral & Cremation and Dio the director there. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Advantage to everyone. Dio and everyone at Advantage, took their time with us, answered many questions both in phone calls and emails. They listened to us, as we talked about our mom and her life.My mom was a serious canoer and had great passion for it. Dio asked us if we would like to have her canoe and gear next to her casket. Since mom did not want any flowers, we had her canoe in place of where flowers would have gone!!! Mom was also a cat lover, one of the ladies placed a stuff Garfield near the sign in book and a kitty ornament to hold the cards. It is the simple things like this, that left a lasting impression on my sister and family friends.Dio and everyone at Advantage made the worst time of our lives, so much more bearable. They listen and truly have compassion for the families.

The entire staff has done a marvelous job on services. Fortunately, I have not had to use them myself but I was present for a friends fathers service and got to see firsthand how compassionate and attentive the staff was. I understand how delicate these times may be for everyone but Dora and Jesses experience and expertise were second to none. Also, the other ladies and gentleman there were empathetic and listened to everything the family wanted and needed. I dont usually leave reviews, but I see how these may be helpful especially when you need someone who is helpful and kind at the hardest time in your life. This is the time when when the stress about choosing the right place should be the furthest thing on your mind. The staff at Advantage made sure family and friends gave a farewell to their loved one that met and even exceed their expectations. I cannot stress enough how blessed by friend felt being able to focus on her moms and familys mourning and not worrying if they chose the right place to handle the final goodbye. Mr.Jesse and his staff were phenomenal to me and my husband’s family. We are from Louisiana but my husband was a patient in Houston. Being only 32 years old and having to find a funeral home/crematory to get my husband from MD Anderson was nothing short of overwhelming. Thankfully, a family friend referred Mr.Jesse at Advantage. He made the most horrible event in my life a little easier. He was very personable and informative. He promised to care for my husband with the upmost respect and even had a priest visit and say one last prayer over my husband before he was cremated. He would call to check on my family, and even arranged transportation of my husband’s ashes from Texas to our local funeral home. The whole team bent over backwards to help my family out, and they did it with compassion and love. I cannot say enough good about this funeral home/crematory. Losing someone is the hardest thing to go through, but the folks at Advantage led the way and made the path very easy.

Jesse, made possible one last desire that i had in life. I will always cherish that moment. Im still hurting since My Sweet Little Angel left us, but if i would die today i wouldnt be afraid of leaving this world. Because I know for a fact I have a Little Angel waiting on me. I would highly recommend the services of this funeral home to anyone. My mom passed recently and we had no idea how expensive and tedious the process of planning the funeral could be. We began with the funeral home that was located on the cemetery where she was to be buried, but we were shocked to find out how expensive a basic burial could be. We left that funeral home in fear that we wouldnt be able to afford to bury our mother the way she requested. Thankfully, we were made aware of Garden Oaks and Advantage Funeral Homes. Both of them had reasonable prices and excellent customer service. I cant thank the Director, Jesse, enough for his assistance with this process and making a difficult time much easier. We have zero complaints about this funeral home and their services. We did not use the actual facility itself as the services were held at a church, however, I did not see anything wrong with the place. Jesse was on time to the church (even though it was on the other side of town) and helped to keep us focused throughout the day of the funeral. Highly recommend!!! Ask for Jesse!
