My husband has been totally stressed out just trying to schedule another appointment after being told his original one needs to be rescheduled….first, this business is a chain & while the customer service used to be good, now it is a total pain…staying on the line just trying to talk to a person is trying, but when you finally get a person, they are totally disrespectful & then hang up on you when you tell them you cannot take morning appointments due to medical reasons. The ONLY reason my husband goes to this business is because he likes Dr Harris & has had great care from him….but this place is going downhill fast in their customer service department….don’t know what is going on but guess he will be looking another eye Dr if things do not improve, it’s just not worth the stress.

The only reason that I am staying with this company - for the time being, mind you - is Dr. Ngyuen. No less than four associates were needed - that’s one at the initial appointment at service center; a second for a call back to state that my trial contracts I had been given we’re working; a third on a speaker phone call during my wife’s appointment three weeks later to see if details had been given; and a fourth associate to go through the order once more. I now have to wait for a second trial pair of contacts. Each time I spoke with someone, I had to relay previously delivered information. Now, one of my contacts was no longer available, or on backorder. That I can understand. Doesn’t matter to me when I receive what I need. But, each time I spoke to someone, it was like I was given new information.There’s much more detail, but, depending on how the trial contact situation works out - and how that order is handled - I may have to move on from a doctor that is incredible and one of the best in Greenville.

Great and Super Fast service. Had an issue with some glasses I purchased earlier this year, I was assisted with those and a very similar but sturdier pair was ordered...all in about 20 mins and no extra cost. The staffwas very friendly.

My son went in for a visit today and the doctor, who did not introduce himself, had the worst bedside manner. He was rude and not empathetic to my son and this was his first eye doctor visit. I will not be returning to this location. Not very child friendly. The desk staff was awesome!

This is my last time going to My Eye Doctor. I ordered my glasses in March and still haven’t gotten them back. I wonder if I would not have paid for them in full if it would have been different? They give you a date that your glasses are supposed to be back and when it goes pass that date they don’t call to update you. I just called and someone picked up the phone and hung it right back up. Then when I called back there was no answer. Unprofessional!!!

Waited Months for my daughter’s contacts (called almost every week)I was never called in to pick them up or for her to be seen about any concerns. Finally get a receptionist to say anything other then “sorry ma’am we’re backed up due to the virus” and it’s “well I don’t see they were actually ordered and her prescription is almost expired.” Probably bc it took them almost a FULL YEAR to do absolutely nothing. We left with a trial pair they bother her eyes and now the location won’t even take live calls, and I’ve been waiting 2 days for a return call from the last voicemail I left.

Had an appointment scheduled a month in advance for later in the day for today JUNE 1st, the day of appointment they called (while at work) @8:40am & told me they could not see me at my scheduled appointment (for whatever personal reasons) and that they only had an opening for 9am. They didn’t even try to send to another location, another later time when I could get off work, no other options were given besides a future appointment in AUGUST!! Don’t recommend, very unprofessional.

Let me start by saying that Dr. Melissa Sterling is the best Optometrist ever. My mom and I have had nothing but great experiences under Dr. Sterling’s care. The issue is with the office staff. Corey and Rhonda are absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable, but more than that, they take time to help customers.Unfortunately, this bad chain of events has been on-going since December 2020 with other staff. In addition, lenses arrive later than ETA, upon arrival the lenses are wrong, re-order lenses and when mom goes to have them replaced, they throw out her old lenses due to miscommunication. We are all going through challenging times, but what makes it harder is when you are faced with staff who are combative and speak to you/mom in a belittling manner. For that reason and nothing to do with Dr. Melissa Sterling, Corey or Rhonda (thank you for your services), I have already removed myself from this MyEyeDr location. Once my mom is squared away, we will move her as well. I don’t normally write reviews, but the front office should know how important they are in patients’ healthcare. It’s unfortunate that the doctors have to face losing patients because of the patients’ experiences outside of the doctor’s provision of care.

Ill start by saying that I really like my eye doctor at this clinic. That is why I rated 2 stars instead of minus 10! The lobby, glasses sales area and check in area was packed. It was the least covid safe feeling place Ive been since March. The software required to do a complete exam was down. A return visit was recommended. Why did they schedule the appointment to begin with? After I saw the doctor I was left at a table and told someone would come check me out. Nobody came. After 25 minutes I felt so uncomfortable sitting in the room full of people, I went to hover at the check-in area. No staff person acknowledged me until the doctor came by, saw me, asked if anyone had helped me. Seemed distressed when I said no. Tried to get someone to help. Everyone in the office area was on the phone. Apparently nobody designated to help folks who were waiting. I paid my $10 copay and vowed not to go back.

I have been wearing glasses since I was 13, and I have never had to wait for glasses so long. At the beginning of March I had my last eye appointment on my parents vision insurance and was told that I would have my glasses in two weeks. It has now been 39 days and I still cannot get a straight answer when I ask for an update on my glasses order. Every time I call I now get sent to voicemail and no one ever calls me back. I wish I didnt have this issue considering it has never happened to me before at a Myeyedr location, but waiting 39+ days is kind of ridiculous when youre not given much of a reason why its taking so long. I had even been told during one phone call that the promise date for the glasses was April 14th, which is almost even more ridiculous, because no one should have to wait upwards of 45 days to get their prescription when we are told that it should take two weeks. Since my appointment, two people I know have had their appointments at separate Myeyedr locations and have gotten all of their prescriptions. At this point I have to wonder if its something I did! I just want my glasses

We have been going to MyEyeDr. for over 12 years. When we started it was privately owned & now that it is a corporation they have no regard for courteous patient care! My daughter has seen the same doctor since she was 9 years old (now 22) and they just moved her with another doctor and didnt bother to tell me until confirming the appointment. When I asked when the next appointment with Dr. Nguyen was I was told December! The only thing the employees could say was it was out of their control. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but I expect to be asked if it is okay to see a different doctor. I guess it is time to find a new eye doctor!! Hopefully one that cares about their patients and informing them of provider changes!! It is too bad, this use to be a great office.

The front desk is totally unprofessional. Dr. Nguyen is fine. Shes not the problem. They totally wasted my time by not honoring an appointment I made with them. Apparently when my information was confirmed whilst making the appointment, the clerk was too lazy to enter my info in the system. I show up for appointment and am told oh we changed your appointment they never contacted me. Wasted my time and day. Unacceptable. Maybe I should bill them the time for breaking the appointment.

Not sure how the average review for this place is only 3 stars. I havent read the reviews, but Im going to go out on a limb and assume that 95% of the negative reviews have absolutely nothing to do with the care they received and are most likely are due to with the impatience, I want it now society we live in. That said, Ive been a patient of Dr. Nguyen for over 7 years now and cant speak more highly of her quality of care, experience, and professionalism. She is a unicorn in the doctor world in the respect that she actually knows her patients and not just their names. During my visit in 2018 we were catching up and I mentioned my mothers passing in March of the same year at some point in the conversation, but didnt linger on the subject. Fast forward 2-3 days I got my mail and had an unexpected card in the mail. It. Opened it and realized it was a sympathy card which struck me as odd because of how long it had been since my mom died, but I was absolutely floored when I saw who signed it. The person who sent and signed the card was Yen Nguyen, not Dr. Nguyen. She personally sent the card to me; the person, not me the patient. I dont know about anyone else but I HAVE NEVER received personal mail from any doctor in my life. I cant begin to explain the wave of emotion that washed over me and immediately called and thanked her. That by itself could warrant a 5-star review, but isnt the basis for mine. My review is based on the care Ive received as a being a patient for over 7 years. I receive high quality, comprehensive care from Dr. Nguyen and all of the support staff every time I visit. Sure there have been a couple minor inconveniences on the store side where you pick out glasses and such, but the store side has NOTHING to do with the medical side of the business. To be fair they really shouldnt be lumped together as one overall review, its completely misleading especially in our I want it now! society. People will see 3 stars and without batting an eye move on to the next instead of taking 5 minutes to look past the surface of the rating to get a better idea of how it pertains to the medical side of things. To have a fair review there should be an overall business review and then have a separate, independent sub-review for medical side and the store side. Hope this review helps, thank you.

I don’t like giving reviews but this one seemed merited. I have been going to this business for years. (I want to mention Dr. Harris and Dr. Yen are top notch Doctors!) I made a appointment September 30th approximately 11:45 am by phone and was setup for November 11th at 10:20 am. Now I realize something was wrong when I didn’t receive a courtesy call reminder. It’s amazing that the appointment fell on my daughter’s birthday and that is why I knew I wasn’t dreaming! I showed up for my appointment and was told that I didn’t have a appointment and was scheduled for December 30th @ 4:20 pm. This wasn’t my fault but your scheduler’s. If I would’ve arrived only to find out I missed my previous appointment and was being charged for it or that I hadn’t missed my appointment and still in the future and I hadn’t missed it. First I’m out 60 miles round trip and my time, just because of your mistake. Also what would I have been charged for a no show. I believe the scheduler needs to be reprimanded for this mistake but, it doesn’t fix my appointment and I have to take the punishment for their mistake!Update: 11/11/2020. After returning home from town I had a message on the answering machine received at 11:45 am asking me to call them back because they needed to reschedule my appointment because they were unaware that they weren’t taking any patients after 4:00 pm on the date mentioned.

Not much love at the front desk, but the rest of the tour was just fine! The tech and Dr. Nguyen gave me a through exam and really improved my vision! I liked the online Appointment capability, because we can avoid snarky front desk people! Enjoying my new and improved contact lense experience!

Had my eye exam on Oct 19 and the eye photo machine broke as we were trying to use it, and from the way they were talking this happens quite frequently. No huge problem as they didnt charge me. I paid for prescription regular and sunglasses in full, and then left. Staff was polite and doctor was knowledgeable, but points have been deducted due to the fact that when I went to pick up my glasses the first time it took almost 20 minutes before I received them, and they said that the sunglasses were not in yet, but they would check on when they were supposed to come in and give me a call. Later on I discovered that they put transition lenses in my regular glasses that I did not ask for, but apparently did pay for. While annoyed, I let it go.I never received a call about the status of my sunglasses, and in fact a week and a half later it was ME that called THEM. They said that my sunglasses had gotten in that day and that they would put a rush on them and let me know when they were available to be picked up. Two days later they finally texted me that they were ready. When I went to pick them up I spent most of my lunch waiting on someone to help me. When I finally got help, he was again very nice, even helping fix my glasses as they had already started to warp a bit in the frame from wear and were now crooked. But two hours after leaving, he called me to say that while it had looked like I didnt owe a balance when he gave them to me, it was now showing that I DID owe.I informed him that I paid the balance in full on the day of my eye exam, and I have the receipt that proves it. So while everyone is very nice there, due to my experience the past few weeks, Im fairly sure that I will not be going back. Took way to long to just pick up glasses BOTH times I had to, and the fact that it took almost a month, and they added/charged for something I didnt want without discussing it with me- after the money I spent to get both pairs, only to have them try to tell me I owed more...I just dont think I will going back to them next year for my next exam, no matter how convenient the location and hours are to me. The two stars I did give are solely because the people I talked to WERE friendly. Just not enough to counteract all the headaches.

My glasses broke last night and I was worried that I wouldnt be able to recieve new ones until Monday because of the holiday. However, the lady that was assisting me, Neeka, was extremely helpful and was able to get me a new pair within the hour. I highly recommend My Eye Doctor.

Do NOT go to My Eye Doctor. I used to love them but lately theyve really put a sour taste in my mouth. Long story short, In November-ish I was charged for a fitting that I never had and when I complained they lied to my insurance agency. When it was time to get my money back they offered to have a credit on my account for the next time I come in... HA! Then last week they sent my fiance a bill claiming that they filed a claim with his insurance and it was denied. When we contacted them to ask about it, it took a week and 3 phone calls to find out that the bill was wrong and they actually owe us money.Plus, theyre so proud of their price match on contacts but they neglect to tell you that if you price match, you cant use insurance. Why would I price match through you when I can just go to the other company and get that price with my insurance?Update: We never got the check. When I realized this I immediately called them. They said they would have to speak to their main office and would get back to me... still waiting. Personally, when I tell a customer Ill get back to them, I do. Even if I dont have the answer Ill call them at the end of the day and let them know Im still working on it.Update: Got the check. Never going back. Which is a shame because I LOVE Dr. Sterling and have been seeing her for 12 years.

I called this morning to see if I could make and appointment the girl that answered the phone said they had no appointments until January she did not ask me if I was having any eyesight problems or if I was a patient she did not give me the opportunity to say that I am having a problem with my vision I did tell her I could not wait until January to see someone and that I would need to find a eye doctor that can see me as soon as possible .....I understand appointments, I understand busy but there are certain questions that should be asked to be sure that a patient can wait several weeks for and appointment

I am a long term patient at this office. I have always found the staff to be friendly and knowledgable. The doctors are friendly and very competant. My yearly exam was today with one problem. I was placed in front of 3 machines by the technician. She advised me , I could lower the chair if needed. The chairs were all the way down. I had to crouch down as low as I possibly could to put my chin in place. Sitting in the chair, I had to lower my chin about a foot to reach the chin rest. At first I thought she was joking but, quickly found out otherwise. I would not believe others have not had this problem. I am average height. This should not be an issue.

My daughter had an appointment today, new patient. Dr. Watson was fabulous as well as the other staff, very engaging and super nice! Office is very clean and inviting! We were in and out in about an hour. That included checking in, pre exam, regular exam and eye glass frames choice! That’s the kind of visits I love!! Highly recommend MyEyeDr on Greenville blvd! I LOVE this place! Im always treated with respect, with the exception of one person today...but theres always one I guess. Neeka is the BEST. But honestly every person in the sales area that I have encountered are very good...Mariah was amazing with my daughter as well. The sales floor supervisor is direct but I havent had one-on-one with her yet..Our doctor is the BEST! Andrew Harris has a heart of gold and hes also an angel with my kids. I cant comment on the other doctors because I always see Dr Harris. Ill never leave this place, unless of course you get a whole office full of that hateful woman that was more interested in who we had insurance with ...just sayin...

I love Dr. Yen, she’s the best! However a miscommunication with the staff cost me hundreds of dollars, which is very frustrating. I never write reviews but just wanted to let everyone know to be careful when dealing with the company. Very disapppinted in my eye care, Dr. Yen would be the only reason if I go back!

I am a food inspector and our vision is imperative. I went to the Kinston, NC location. The staff is simply incompetent, and I knew after choosing my frames and the fitting, the glasses was going to be wrong and they were. I going to the Greenville location, maybe this location is better and wont be as patient. I couldnt see a thing and fitted horribly, they advised me to keep for a week and come back if its not better. I was told from a family member who wore glasses, that was the stupidest advice and bring them back ASAP. This company got one more chance or its going to be a very bad experience for the both of us.

If I could give 0 stars, I would😠My order was totally bungled. They had to call me and remind them what my frames looked like.The glasses came in, and they were the wrong frames! So, I kept my cool, and picked out more frames ( which is almost atop my list of things I hate to do) So these new glasses come in. They forgot to remeasure my eyes to the new frames!!! When i told the lady that the middle of my line of sight was bluured, she told me not to worry that Id get used to it (I shudda asked for my refund then). So back again for the third time....I walk in and the lady that helped me the first time literally trotted to the back when she saw me coming in.The manager tried to help. She seemed like she was sizing me up for how much money I had. I could buy whatever I wanted in there. I was offended by this.As we were reaching the end of the deal, she told me she was taking this experience with a grain of salt...RUDE!! So now Im stuck with 500 dollar glasses, not much better vision, and a horribly bitter taste in my mouth over the whole glasses buying thing.Go down the road to the next place. Youll be glad you did.

If you have any plans after your appointment here, I would cancel them. Took all of 2.5 hours for me to complete a routine appointment and get a new prescription for contacts. The doctor was very nice, but other then that, very displeased.

Dont waste your time with this company honestly. This is my second time trying to order glasses through Myeyedr. and still issues. I ended up cancelling my first pair came back about two years later and still problems. I dont know if its just me but theres always an issue. Every issue theres never any accountability. Ive went to the same eye doctor for about 12 years before switching here due to changing cities and its been a horrible experience ever since. If you have a simple eye issue their great but if your prescription gets complicated dont waste your time.

The older lady and the young girl in the eye glass section were extremely rude and sarcastic! I asked for my prescription and with a lot of non sense talk they eventually gave me my prescription. I knew that it was expired but I needed it to order me a pair of glasses online to get me through until I get my vision insurance. They were extremely rude about the whole scenario. One of the girls forgot to write expired on the form and the older lady was really rude and wrote in big bold letters EXPIRED. Like really? I ordered my glasses online today and I will never ever go back to this business. They are extremely disrespectful!!!
