I cant say enough about the staff. I had my eyes examined 3 times over the course of a few months (not at Lenscrafters). Each time getting a different prescription. It took that many times to get it right. Even though my 30 days had passed, Lenscrafters kept working with me to make sure I had the correct lenses so I could see. Amanda, Caleb, Zack and Mike were so helpful and professional. They far exceed the meaning of excellent customer service. I will be a customer for life.

I’m a 65 year old man who during the past 2 years received 2 eye exams by 2 different ophthalmologists from a different company and still could not see clearly. I was fed up! I went to LensCrafters at the Haywood Mall location in Greenville SC where I worked with Optician Kami for an extended amount of time. She noted some major changes in my prescription and checked with my last eye doctor to see if it was possibly a type error but was informed it was not. The previous eye doctor wanted me to get another eye exam from him but I decided enough was enough and declined his offer. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Gary at LensCrafters. She listened to my problems and delivered a prescription that was spot on! I can finally see clearly and am so grateful to Dr. Gary and the Opticians at LensCrafters. If I could have 0 stars I do would. The first problem I had was they prescription wasn’t right and it was horrible because I could not see. So I had to make another appointment just to get my eyes rechecked to get my prescription right. Then I go up there today to finally pick up my glasses and after leaving work 1 hour early (losing money) so that I can quickly pick up and head home, but of course that was not possible. I was there for over an hour (almost 1 hr and 15 min) until I was done. After going up there 4 times and waiting so long after working all day it was closing in on 6pm and I was done. I told the lady I would be back tomorrow (11/5/2020) for a refund because I no longer want the glasses. LensCrafters don’t have a lot of expensive choices and for all the trips up there it should not have taken this long. Never again will I do business with them and tomorrow will be the very last day I ever step into that store. Horrible.

Hands down BEST LensCrafters! I literally drive from Georgia to do business with this particular LensCrafters. However, this visit was extra special. For one shoutout to the Manager “MIKE” was extremely helpful. I walked in at lunch time needing an eye exam, they were booked but Mike was able to get the Dr to work me in. I sent my old frames to get adjusted while I get my eye exam done come out to see Mike totally replaced my Coach frames for “FREE” what a great way to pay it forward, awesome customer service! Now to “Kevin” the most helpful, sweetest gentleman that helped me pick out both pair of glasses a pair of Prada and a pair of Versace. I’m forever thankful for the hospitality I received today. If I could give 0 stars I would. Staff was rude and the doctor associated with Lenscrafters left before our confirmed appointment time. Drove over an hour to get there. Never again. Will go elsewhere.

The staff was friendly and efficient; my exam by Dr. Gary was thorough. When I received my glasses they promptly called me and made sure I had a proper fit. Although one of the temples broke within the first month, I called customer service and they advised that when the store opened back up (due to Covid 19), I could return them and the 30-day guarantee would be honored. Great experience!

If I could give 0 stars I most certainly would our second visit was a mimic of our first visit and Joann was present at both and Lack of customer service was very much the same at both visits from her. specifically on this second visit I stood in line for Joann to tell me that she can assist us after she first assisted another customer who obviously was not ready, who was casually moving about trying out different frames that he may or may not like and asking his wife what she thought of the different frames he was trying, Joann went and stood looking at him as he tried them on with obviously no certainty that he would even be purchasing today as I continued to watch Joann stand and watch him she finally ask him if he had any insurance he would be using if he found something he liked? Just wow. So my issue is while he continued to shop for what he possibly wanted, one would think maybe the customer friendly thing for Joann to do would be to say sir while you are shopping I’m going to assist these customers when your ready myself or Amanda should be available to assist you and then go ahead and assist us who all we were doing is picking up already paid for glasses and simply just ensure that the fit was comfortable making small if any adjustments right? but no that didn’t happen Joann cut her eyes at us while she continued to watch him and answer questions for other customers who were browsing as well. thankfully Amanda was done serving the customer she was with prior to us coming in. And she helped us she made a small maybe 2 minute adjustment to get a snugger fit on one side of the glasses and we were out in about 10 minutes after she helped us. There is so much more I could say as to why I believe we were treated this way but I’m just going to leave it here. Our experience was a very poor experience due to one person but that’s all it takes right, that’s all it took for me to say that I will never use Lens Crafters at specifically the Haywood mall location to service our needs ever again. And will mostly likely second guess any other locations for fear of this happening again. The treatment was one I will not forget as you never forget how a person makes you feel. The treatment received is one I know I do not have to subject myself to ever again.

I received a very thorough eye exam from Dr. Gary yesterday. She is a thoughtful eye Dr and spent time listening and answering questions regarding concerns about my vision. Highly recommend Dr. Gary for an eye exam! I also had a very pleasant experience ordering glasses after the visit. Great customer service!

The doctor was great. Friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything to me.

I usually get my glasses from this store, the previous store and staff were amazing. However this specific time, my experience has been horrendous. This staff was entirely new, I purchased my script sunglasses, easy and painless. I ordered my sunglasses, took a standard 7-10 days to get them, which is fine. I pick them up, the day I get them, they fall apart. I took the glasses back to get a new set ordered, that was painless, however at some point their staff communication was sloppy and I was called two days after my order, thinking “wow, that was speedy for them to get them back”, drove up there (about an hour away) for them to pull out my broken pair of glasses. Then sitting around for 20 minutes for them to figure out what went wrong. The general manager was actually the one who called to tell me it my glasses were ready. He then told me I was going to be receiving a $50 something dollar check for my inconvenience (no sign yet) and that my glasses actually couldn’t be sent from the lab until the refund me $2.50 or so they owed me, it took them a couple of day after that to figure that out, which made my order take even longer, another LensCrafters said they’re unsure why that happened but that I did not sound correct. I finally receive my glasses thinking that my eyes need time to adjust, I wear them more frequently, each time making me ill and with a severe headache. I go get my script checked by my doctor, to only find out that they misaligned my lenses and induced prism (double vision), which these are sunglasses and I use them to drive. I find that out and I take them to a new LensCrafters store (which was awesome) for them to tell me that they measured my eyes measured off and the lab made them 5mm off from where my eyes were supposed to be in the lens, the optician I talked to said that the eyes can only tolerate 1mm at most. This store could have caused me to injure myself and someone else for how sloppy their work was. Save yourself and visit to another store.

Purchased glasses and contact lenses here for myself, my wife and my daughter. They messed up my order. No big deal, they did some polarized sunglasses instead of transition lenses. But I came to pick up glasses and waited for thirty minutes while the staff helped other people search for frames. Something that should have taken a minute took me over thirty minutes. Staff your store appropriately! Im literally still waiting as I type this review.

After getting my eye exam I was ready to get new sunglasses frames with my new prescription and replace the lenses in my old frames.The woman in LensCrafters lied to me and I knew it was a lie. She said that I could not reuse my frames.Thats like dealing with a shady mechanic who overcharges. Do these people work on commission or something? Lying to your customer in order to make a sale is unethical and will lose you business.I took my prescription to Verde LensCrafters and had absolutely no problem. I hate shady people.She lost a $650 sale for her lie.

Lens Crafters should celebrate employee Kami at Haywood Mall GReenville SC. I have Ischemic optic neuropathy and vision loss in different locations in my eyes. Kami is so patient, kind, intelligent and experienced. She is the only person that has been able to help problem solve the progressive lens that I require. I am most grateful for her and her expertise.

Since purchase of lens in 2019 (Note: LESS than a year) from the Greenville SC location in Haywood Mall, unremovable streaks have occurred on lens and company says there is no defect and therefore will NOT replace without a charge! The streaks have worsened and therefore there must be a defect somewhere within the lens/coating! I feel I deserve a replacement. Also, I have been told that all progressive lens have measuring numbers on them which should be invisible to the naked eye. That is not the case with me, because I tried cleaning what I thought was a smudge, but turned out to be those annoying numbers. I have worn progressives several years from other companies and the numbers were NEVER visible. I have NOT been happy with this product since I got them and I will never buy anymore lens from LenCrafters again, nor recommend this company to anyone! Susan Couch

I had the best experience possible yesterday at LensCrafters. I needed a repair to my sunglasses, not purchased at this store, and they were repaired without cost. The staff were efficient and friendly. Kudos

Customer service was above and beyond expected. After having a delay do to a machine error and one of my lens being slightly off, they went out of there way to take care of the issue and make sure I left happy. Problems will happen in any business its how you respond that defines your customer service. Theyve earned my business from now on.

Salesmen are pretty commission oriented. You will over pay if your not careful. Not everyone needs polycarbonate or high index lenses, if you go with a smaller frame, they wont look too thick.

I just picked up my glasses about 3-4 days ago. I’ve been using contacts for years and decided I needed a pair of glasses to relieve my eyes from time to time. Let’s just say I don’t even want to wear contacts anymore! These frames are comfortable and they get complements everywhere I go (Burberry be2224) They also have a great style, I can wear it to work in a suite or a casual Sunday watching football. I’m so glad I went with these frames! Also my local store in Greenville SC Haywood Mall has the best amazing staff! They took the time to demo all the pairs I wanted to see and gave me honest feedback. With out them, I may have made the wrong choice. Went in today to get new eyeglasses that I desperately needed. I have been to plenty of other eye centers and I have never received such great care. Dr.Southerland is the best and his eye exams are very thorough, you could actually tell that he cares about his patients. He also gave me a free pair of trial contacts which was very much needed. Once I got my frames picked out I waited about two hours and was called in to pick up my new eyeglasses. Kami took her time to make sure my eyeglasses fit properly even though it was almost closing time (which I thank her a lot for). I never had a better fitting pair of eyeglasses! The staff here are great and deserve your business if you really care for your eyes! You pay a little more here than most other eye centers but I can tell you every penny is totally worth it. Cant thank them enough.

Went here today to get 3 of my glasses adjusted. There were 2 people working and no one greeted me until after 10 minutes of walking around the store. I was told someone would be with me shortly and about 10 minutes later was told to sit at a table. 45 minutes in total and no one helped me. One sales associate was working with another customer next to me and sat and flirted with her for about 15 minutes while waiting for a response on something. He could of stepped aside to quickly help me. Left and went to the one on Verdae Blvd and was in and out within 10 minutes.

Doctors office is great! Main store ............ Not so much. Do yourself a favor and check prices with other vendors on line. Lens Crafters has so many gimmicks and guarantees that you can buy what they sell on line for half.

Was told over the phone that they could do our daughters lenses in one day, but when showed up with prescription they said they couldnt. Only knowledgeable people need to answer the phone before wasting our time to fight traffic and drive all the way to the mall and find out someone cant help you.

Recently went to this lens crafters under the new doctor of Bettina Gary. I was very impressed with her and would gladly go see her again, however dealing with the incompetent desk staff made the whole experience miserable. I had my appointment and a few days later tried ordering contacts thru 1800contacts, when they tried contacting lens crafters to verify my prescription they gave them the wrong contact strength one time, another time told them I wasnt a patient with them at all, told me they couldnt email and overall were very rude to deal with. I eventually had to go there in person because they were unable to solve a simple problem over the phone. When I did go, the front staff didnt resolve my issue, Dr. Gary did herself. Also while I was there waiting, three other people came in trying to get issues taken care of (wouldnt give one lady her contact prescription so she could order....she left empty handed, another lady had issues because they didnt file her insurance right, and another gentleman was there because when he was there the week before the printer wasnt working and he needed and invoice and his prescription.) The lady at the front desk with the curly hair made everyone feel like things were their fault and not her problem when clearly she didnt know what she was doing. They also are not good about answering their phone. That was my first and last time ever dealing with them, its a shame too because Dr. Gary was excellent. She needs to get herself some better employees to work the front desk or shell be losing patients left and right!
