I called yesterday to see what could be done about the scratches on my glasses. They told me I needed to come in to talk to someone. They would not give me an appointment, they said mornings were fairly slow. When I got there at 9:10am, there was no manager and there wouldnt be for another hour. I have a busy day and dont have time to wait around. An appointment would have been fair and guaranteed a manager be there.So this morning I came in and Madi acted as if I was bothering her. She then told me I had to wear a face in order for her to help me. I refused and she walked away. She was very disrespectful.I have cheap readers that I wore around my neck daily for years that do not have this kind of scratches on, but these glasses that are less than a year old and look like I cleaned them with fine sand. I have never cleaned them with anything I didn’t clean my readers with. I paid for scratch protection and how am I to know if I got it or not? Apparently not.On top of that, the service is very poor. Why would I do business with them ever again, and why wouldn’t I want to warn others to steer clear of this business? Youve been warned.

First of all, I was told my insurance was in network here. It wasn’t. I had to pay out of pocket. Second of all, even though I and the doctor had both been vaccinated, I had to wear a mask during the exam. Wouldn’t you know, the prescription was wrong. Ya think ? With a diaper on my face getting an eye exam ?? So I called to tell them the prescription was wrong and was told to come back in. So here I am, no mask mandates in place. I come in and bring back the wrong contacts they ordered and told them to just order the same prescription I had before, because they work fine. They tell me I have to wear a mask to enter the store. I told them I am politely declining to wear a mask and that I would wait outside. That’s when the attitude started. I gave them my info and went outside to wait for them to do the exchange. A few minutes later she came out and didn’t even apologize or address me by name. She just stood there. When I looked up she said that she had that processed and they would come by mail. No apologies, no have a nice day. Nothing. ATTITUDE. All because I exercised my God given right to not wear a mask. A oh and there is a wall of plexiglass between me and the receptionist to boot. Mask ? Really ? That’s what caused these people to crew up my prescription in the first place ! I should have read the reviews, now I’m leaving one. DO NO GO HERE !!!!

This business is beyond frustrating! They require a 1 hour training on fitting contacts, does it really take 1 hour? They scheduled my appointment for a different day than what I told them. When I showed up to my requested and stated date for this 1 hour training they wouldnt honor it. Americas Best then rescheduled my appointment without telling me and of course I was a no show for that. To punish me for switching businesses they are telling the new contact place that I never got a prescription for contacts which creates a wait of 7 weeks for contacts. If I never got a prescription then how would I have a 1 hour training and why did I receive 2 texts confirmations that my contacts were in from Americas Best? Americas Best should change its name to Americas Worst!

As for the Eye Dr, Very Impersonable and said nothing to me unless I asked a question.I paid 3 TIMES more at Americas Best for 1 box of contacts (3 pairs) than I did on-line. That explains the CLUB Membership,Low price exams and triple priced contacts.

At this point I genuinely regret dealing with America’s Best and not waiting until January when I can sign up for vision insurance.I went in to get a first time contacts prescription. I wasn’t aware a class was required to be given the prescription but I understand it’s a liability issue so I said that was fine. I came in for the $89 exam but after getting home and looking at my receipt I was charged $99. I called and asked what happened and, without my permission, was signed up for their three year program. I absolutely did not want that as I’ll have vision insurance next year and only wanted the exam. When I requested a refund the person on the phone said it was “only another $10” and “a great deal. Maybe it is a great deal! But I wasn’t informed I would be signed up for this and immediately lost trust in them for pulling that. They also said they couldn’t guarantee I wouldn’t be charged AGAIN for the fitting. I requested a refund for the $10, got a vague response, and haven’t heard anything since.They also did not have the contacts available for the class I am required to take and said it would take a week or two. I was frustrated that it would take so long and I had not been told this until the last minute but these things happen. However, they called a few days ago to schedule the class. They then told me the class is only offered Monday - Friday at very specific times. Naturally, these times are within normal working hours. I cannot afford to take the time off and am genuinely upset that this situation was not expressed to me before I had paid for their exam (and got upcharged). Since the location is open outside of normal working hours I was under the impression this was offered within those times.I’ve left a voicemail with all this information and requested my prescription be transferred to Visionworks (because, of course, my prescription was given to me on a glasses sheet, not a contacts one) and have not heard back. Overall my experience here has been shady and deceitful to put it mildly. I’ve wasted so much time and have nothing to show for it, especially not a refund. Maybe they were having an off couple of weeks, but I have to draw the line at some point.

I saw Dr. Caldwell yesterday for my exam and she is one of the most thorough and kind optometrists I can remember seeing and I’m almost 50 years old with fairly severe myopia. Dr. Caldwell answered my questions about bifocals and progressive lenses for my eyeglasses, which are completely new to me and she made sure I left with trial pairs of contact lenses to compare. The ENTIRE staff at this store were honestly so pleasant! They are all ready to help and genuinely care about their patients and their eyes and helping to choose eyeglasses. I know this is not always the experience one can have, as I used to receive the most terrible service at the ABC&E I went to in another state, so obviously the staff and workplace culture of any business makes the difference and this store is absolutely 5 stars.

Not a great experience... most doctor offices will ask for insurance while getting paperwork so that there are no misunderstandings. Nope not here. It is about trapping you into having to pay cash.... then the Doctor specifically told me one of my sons did not need glasses and then they tried to sell me glasses for him - what??? crazy!

Would have given them a hug if I could!! Was greeted with a warm smile, the paperwork was simple and she had most of my information already printed on it. DR. Emily Caldwell was so friendly and understanding, and the pre eye check young lady was awesome!! This entire location was just fantastic!! Terri made my day, she waited for me to decide on frames and helped me get just what I wanted. This is the kind of service that is so special!! thank you for affordable, easy to get into care and just the compassion that helped everything go awesome!!! great for everyone, family with children included. Very clean and sanitized all the time, between people.

From the minute I walked in their door, everyone at Americas Best- Fort Collins treated me like family! From Nikki to Itzel and Dr. Caldwell, they were all very professional in assisting me with my contact exam. The level of care and customer service I received was all top notch! I would give no stars if I could. I pay 260$ for insurance a year, to be seen ONCE a year for the health of my eyes THAT IS ALL. Why am I charged a fitting fee for contacts when I have worn contacts for 13 years AND I am reordering the same contacts Ive always worn? THERE NEEDS TO BE DISGRETION about charges.I am already paying my co-pay, and the retinal imaging, I dont need to be charged 40$ for fitting contacts. All I need is a prescription and I was charged 79$.I could go to Costco and pay that EXACT amount, GET SAMPLES and submit to insurance for re-imbursement. Note to self for next time!

I was in to get an exam and new glasses and prescription sunglasses, it took a while for my glasses to come in and the lenses were horrible. They clearly did not fit the frames properly so they agreed to replace them. Then the second pair was almost just as bad. I have a chip at the top of my left lense and the scratch protection is a joke as well as the frame selection. I couldnt find one pair that I really liked and I wear glasses full- time. The last pair I had were great and lasted me 5 yeats with normal wear and tear..its been a year since I bought these and I already need a full replacement. The worst part is that the staff is aware that one of their lense suppliers does shoddy work and they continue doing buainess with them. I will definitely not be back.

I’ve been getting my prescription glasses from this chain for many years and have never had any problems. Staff are always friendly. Doctor visits are quick and accurate. Shop is always clean. Plenty of great options for frames. Good deals.

When I lived in Fort Collins I got two sets of contacts from this location. I paid full price for gas permeable.I just left my new optometrist who told me that Ive qualified for years for medically needed contacts because of my vision. No one has ever mentioned this before. The costs of those lenses $25. 😠

This is the second year Ive had an exam and glasses purchased through AB in Fort Collins. Last year, I had issues with an inaccurate pupil measurement that was missed by the office, and only corrected via another optometry office where I had taken my prescription to replace lenses in some old frames. Last year, AB did a good job of fixing the mistake and I loved my new frames (sunglasses, and everyday), once the problem was fixed. I went back because they had the measurements from the year prior to go off of. This year Ive another issue with an updated prescription. I need prism for double vision, which I needed last year as well. I received my glasses earlier this week and adjusted to the new prism for double vision. The new glasses, however, are blurry and I have worse vision that my previous prescription. I went into the office today to have them assessed, and was told they would speak to the DR about it and schedule me an appointment next week to have him look at them. Now I am stuck in between two pairs of glasses I cannot wear (I that is the wrong prescription and I cannot read or see clearly in - the new pair, and my old pair, which now gives me such bad double vision that I cannot drive as Ive adjusted to the new prism prescription.) Long story short, I cannot see adequately with EITHER pair now. This is a problem (not only the fact that I cannot see properly, but that they do not seemed concerned.) The office/DR has made a mistake somewhere, I should be a priority to get in. I cannot go a week (or longer, which it will be to order new lenses) not being able to see. Between the second flawed prescription and the lack of urgency from the staff, this will be my last time using AB. I gave my review a couple of stars, because the initial exam and staff were extremely friendly, DR was great.UPDATE: I adjusted my rating to a 4 star. The office made adjustments and compensations for the prescription issues. They made it right. The staff was very apologetic. Although mistakes were made, the staff took measures to diagnose and correct the issues.

If i could give it Zero Stars I would.This is the third time i have had my same glasses replaced with anti-scratch lenses and within a month of each purchase my lenses have multiple scratches all over for no reason. I am very careful when i clean my glasses and use proper methods, but the new lenses don’t even last a month.Seems to me that the deals they offer are just a money grab. I have worn glasses for over 20 years and never had this many scratches, until i purchased an anti-scratch coated lens from America’s Best. I’m going back to Costco.

I bought a pair of glasses here 10 months ago spent close to $500 bought the scratch protection that did not protect so I went back to see if there was anything they could do the salesperson went to talk to the manager she never even got out of her chair I heard her say did she buy the protective plan I did not cause I never needed it b4. She said if not nothing we can do except for her to buy another pair of lenses. Not even a glance my way. I had been in customer service for 30 years if I ever treated a customer like that especially in I would at least got written up

I was shuffled in an out with minimal customer service. Dont be fooled by the free eye exam advertisement. This is only for a glasses exam. I am primarily a contact wearer. The fine print details of that promotion were not explained to me prior to making an appointment or before seeing an optometrist. At checkout, the person helping me was rude and said I would be silly not to take advantage of their protection plan option which came with an extra cost I declined. Will not return.

I was lied to from the moment I got in the store, I made an appointment for both regular and contact exam, they told me my insurance covered only one, and to do it for the contacts as they could give me a special price on my glasses, they charged me full price.I was given a trial pair of contacts to wear for a week and the girl started ringing me up for 6 months of contacts. I should have known better because they screwed up my dads prescription, but I went ahead and ordered them. SURPRISE SURPRISE!!!After a week of wearing the trial I could tell they were wrong so I called back.They said just come in no appointment needed. So I went back, mind you I dont live in fort collins so making a second trip was frustrating enough. I get there and sit down they ask me a couple questions and say well lets schedule you an appointment for tomorrow . I said no, I was told to just come back, they get a little frazzled and finally one says well can you come back at 3? It was noon, but I didnt want to try and make a thrid trip so I agreed to come back.3 comes and I go back and they do the exam again, doc says yeah the prescription changed a little, but not worth me changing the glasses prescription so well just change the contacts and give you a new trial. This time they say wait to order and REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY DAMN PRESCRIPTION. They told me to keep the wrong contacts they didnt want them back and to call in a week if the contacts worked. Thankfully the new contacts do work,but SURPRISE SURPRISE!!!! THEY DO NEED THE OLD ONES BACK!! THEY WANT TO MAKE THINGS HARD FOR YOU.I called today to let them know I would likely not be able to come back in which was disappointing because its costing me so much money, the girl on the phone sounded happy for my misfortune.I WILL NEVER MAKE THE MISTAKE OF COMING HERE AGAIN. Id rather be totally blind than deal with these people again.

I just moved here a d chose Americas Best for their 2 pair deal. And I will definitely be back! Best experience in the eye doctors Ive had and Ive worn glasses my entire life. Everyone was very kind and greeted me as I walked in. Big smiles everywhere. Heather did my pre tests and she was super thorough and made sure I knew what all my options were. Doctor Matt was great and so was Patrick who finished up my sale. He did what he could to work with me on price and was very helpful. Highly recommend them!

Daisy was super sweet and helpful. There was an issue with a different location not having my correct information and she made sure to do everything she could to figure it out, even though we walked in on a very busy Saturday without calling. She was able to get me seen within a half hour, and the doctor was also very nice and helpful. I was in and out very quickly, and I highly reccomend this location.

Last time my glasses were in in about 4 days. This time i guess they are going to take the full 2 weeks they said AFTER i had paid. If i would have known i would have to wait so long i would have definitely went somewhere else. I was near the store and called to check if they were in and was told they were to busy to check and they would call me back. I see only potential customers are a priority once they have your money they could care less apparently if i ever go back. And i probably will never return. Last time i was able to insure my glasses but tjis time nobody mentioned it. They just assumed since i declined the glare coating i wasnt interested in any upgrades. I will probably go somewhere else as they have gone way downhill since my last visit 3 years ago.

Second time I have gotten glasses. Dr. Cotton is as thorough , knowledgeable and professional as can be. Have been fitted and examined for at least a dozen pairs of glasses and this is the best professional I have encountered. Amazing they can make money. The manager- LaChelle is exactly the same- courteous, knowledgeable, flexible, and listens well.

I have gone here for years and never had an issue; but these last few trips have been ridiculous. First, I am getting contacts for the first time so when they came in I showed up and was told I need to take some sort of hour long class. That was fine, and I made the appointment. I showed up for the appointment, but hit construction on the way and ended up being 5 minutes late. I was told the contact specialist had a tight schedule and I would need to come back in an hour! Anyway, I couldnt come back in an hour, I have to be at work. They wanted me to schedule AGAIN for another day. That would be my fourth time making the trip up there for this. This might have all been fine, but the person I spoke to didnt seem too sorry that this happened, she didnt seem to care at all that I was upset about having to reschedule AGAIN.I come here despite living in the next town over, but have now decided to find a doctors office closer, with more reliable scheduling.

Appointment was easy to make. Exam was great. Took almost 3 weeks to get sample contacts. Every time I have called to ask questions I spent about 15 minutes on hold. Most recent call, I waited 17 minutes on hold for them to tell me that I have to go in person if I want to order contacts using my insurance.

I went back to this place because I thought the glasses were making my eyes worse. I met with an associate named Nathan and he explained to me what was going on. He even fixed my old eye glasses. He is well knowledgeable and communicative and I had a great service at the front desk as well as with Nathan. We stopped in here to buy glasses for my daughter. I wasnt looking to spend hundreds of dollars on a pair of glasses when they would likely get lost, broken and need to be replaced the following year.They are reasonably priced. We were able to get two pairs of glasses with the protection plan for $99.What keeps me from giving this place a higher rating is how long it takes. When you walk in, you have to wait around for someone to help you. Then you have to wait for them to put you in the system. Then you have to wait to pay.When you pick up your glasses, its the same thing. Wait for someone to help you, wait for someone to get your glasses, wait for someone to work with you and adjust them... expect an hour or more every time.

Advertising, walk in welcome. Yes , but not now .Pathetic. All of the recommendations over the years .Im disgusted . Ok. is almost the same as everyone else. However, the glasses I got were mens $59.95. So I got two pairs.1st Pair $59.95 2nd pair $59.95 =Total 2 pairs $69.95.According to the add. Then I took their $20.00 special for the extra eye exam, that was not covered by the free exam. So it was agreed upon that I needed bifocals. So the two pair of bifocals were going to be around $100.00. Then I was charged an additional $80.00. I am going to assume that this was lab cost. The place the glasses are sent so they they can be made for the prescription. So in conclusion, my glasses cost for two pairs a little over $180.00. I think the problem is is that they do not tell you about the additional costs, at the beginning.

After always using a smaller optometrist I was leery about going to a bigger chain eyeglass company. They exceeding all my expectations of professional service, and expertise. The doctor was extremely professional and made me feel valued. I then worked with an employee that was extremely patient and helped me pick out two pairs of glasses answering all my questions. I then ordered some glasses and they came in right away, and I took them home. After finding they were extremely uncomfortable and not what I expected, they exchanged my lenses and ordered a new pair. The manager was very professional and showed the value of good customer services and that it was important to her. I would recommend this location and felt valued as a customer.

Id give 0 stars very unprofessionalDont shop here they my sound like they are cheap but are very expensive. Then with Corna virus they just ship you glasses no explation. They could said were closed but bring your glasses in for adjustment. Here now waiting for adjustment been here 20 min 5 employees 2 customers and one left still waiting.

So grateful to these folks! I was in town from NYC for my brothers wedding, and realized when I unpacked that I had forgotten my contact lenses. I walked in to this location with very little hope that anything could be done, since my eye doctor back home is not part of their franchise, its just a local neighborhood office. Lucky for me, the staff here is awesome and sprang into action when they heard my story; within an hour I was walking out the door with a new box of lenses! Came down to get eyes checked and maybe a new prescription, I liked Americas best because they are friendly... But this last time was at this location and it will be my last. I had decided to get new glasses, so on Monday they told me at would be a week, maybe a week and 2 days, Friday being the latest, the Thursday before the latest I called to check, they had only gotten the package. I was now told 2-3 days. Things happen, but 2 days later, now on Saturday I call to check again since no post on Sundays. I was then told it had left the store and it might be another week, so I asked for a tracking number, which I had gotten, to find it as incorrect when I got off the phone, with headaches now reaching migraines because I cant see, my view of Americans best is ruined and I will not be returning. I might update this review if I ever get my glasses.

Went here for inexpensive exam and to be able to purchase lens online later for fraction of the cost. Explained to the optometrist we have five family members in contacts, please consider this when writing script for our son. She says we can discuss pricing later with the technician. (Im watching her write the script at that moment). Get to technician station to find she has written for lens that is over $200 per year. Requested something else. The optometrist will only write scripts for the Americas best version of contact so I will not be able to purchase from anywhere but the store. I explained our needs when making the appointment & I was very specific. The physician tells the technician to offer us a program where I spend more today so I can get a 10% discount on cheaper lens later. So upsell me so I can still only buy from you?What a load of scheist... thanks for wasting my time.Since I have to rate at least a one, my single star is for the technician doing the best she could to try to get what I needed.

I got my glasses and contacts from here a year ago and the staff was somewhat friendly, the prices were extremely high and sales were misleading, and after finally getting my glasses they did not fit right. Ive had way better experiences at the Walmart vision center where theyre more friendly and a LOT better priced.

Super nice and friendly staff! I was helped by Jachelle and she was really personable and attentive with me. She helped me get a great fit on my glasses, super perky and funny too. Quick service and told me everything I needed to know! Funny story, I had actually meant to go to the Longmont location but wasnt paying attention when I told Google where I needed to go, but in the end it was a happy mistake and I felt like I got better service at this location instead! Simply HORRIBLE!Got charged TWICE, was told it would be about 2 weeks for lens (only lens, not glasses with lenses) and it was 3 WEEKS, and when I went to pick them up was told there was a line and to have a seat. I had asked if they wanted to take my name down (for a wait list) and they said, No. There was a lady and asked who was next, and no one knew who was next since there was no wait list. Horrible consumer service and they lie to your face.I will NEVER go back to this location.

Worst customer service ever! I ordered my glasses over 2 weeks ago never got a call so I called a few days ago and the lady told me they were in the inspection box so they would be ready in a few days. I waited 3 days and called back today and the lady that answered told me if she would take my name and phone number to call me back because they were way to busy.. I told her I just needed to know if my glasses were ready and she told me I dont have time to check right now but you can come in and see. But its going to be an hour wait because we are way to busy. Are you kidding me an hour wait just to pick up glasses. This was my first time going there and I will NEVER go back. Worst customer service ever.. Definitely will not recommend anyone to go there.. This place dont even deserve a star..

Tried to go back for more contacts didnt need exam. Was told Id have to wait 20 minutes just to get a box of contacts. Cant understand any place that a makes it so hard to take your money. Pathetic needs a manager

I made an appointment online for an exam and to purchase glasses. I was 5 minutes late for my appointment and was told that the doctor decided to go to lunch instead of waiting. 5 minutes. Not 10, or 15 but 5. I was floored when I was told I would have to reschedule my appointment. How many of you were kept waiting more than 5 minutes for your exam with the doctor? You should ask for compensation for your time since that is their apparent stick of measure. I was going to buy 2 pairs of progressive lens glasses today as well. I know where I work that if we told people who were 5 minutes late for their appointment that they would have to reschedule the you know what would hit the fan.

I am always skeptical about going to a chain for eye care but this place was great! All of the staff was super friendly and accommodating and the doctor seemed to know what he was doing. It was by far the fastest trip to the eye doctor Ive ever experienced. I showed up early and they got to me right away with the pre-exam testing. Then, I went into the exam room and the doctor was nearly right behind me. After I had my contact lense examination I had a pair of glasses adjusted as they were a bit bent from me falling asleep in them too often. The tech, Brandon, even offered to replace the nose pads. Like I said, this place is great! I will definitely be going there again next year!!!

Its sad when employees are more concerned with chatting amongst themselves than providing good customer service and short wait times. When I worked retail my boss would have fired me for the blatant disregard for customers time that I witnessed today. Youre at work, getting paid, to help customers. Perfect example of why people no longer see value in brick and mortar and prefer to shop online.

This company does everything in its power to make it as difficult as possible to buy contacts from an outside source. After my eye exam, they initially refused to give me a paper copy of the prescription, telling me I could access it online with no problem. This was in order to try ensure that I would buy from their site, which is twice as expensive as competitors. They are required by law to provide me with a hard copy of my prescription - not to try and coerce me into buying their products.Additionally, when I wanted to reorder contact lens a month before my prescription expired (a common practice, and something I have done consistently for the past few years), Americas Best told me specifically that I was not allowed to order another years worth of contacts as my prescription was about to expire (although it hadnt expired yet). They even went so far as to instruct the company I was buying my new contact lens from NOT to sell to me.I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I dont usually assume people are lying to me. They informed me that this was a new rule now, and that there was a limit to the amount of boxes that could be purchased on a current subscription (8 boxes for one year).However, upon deciding to take a little time to research the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act (FCLCA) I not only confirmed that they were technically breaking the law by initially neglecting to give me a hard copy of my prescription, but also that the Act does not provide for prescribers to limit the number of boxes dispensed as long as the prescription is current.I went to a second company that Americas Best had not contacted, with the physical copy of my prescription that I had to go back to Americas Best in person to get, and had absolutely no problem ordering a few more boxes of contacts.NEVER going back again.

I ordered contacts in February but have not received so I called a few weeks ago to check on that order & to order another set, havent received either yet so I called today to check on them and the girl who answered the phone basically cut me off & put me on hold. I was on hold for 35 minutes!! Finally hung up, I will NEVER use Americas best ever again, just give me contacts & I will never contact again!! I tried to not check any stars but it wont let me post🤨

I just had to call for a quick question. The woman who answered the phone was pretty rude. She had no phone etiquette or customer service. Instead of sounding like she was representing your company she sounds like she is there for a paycheck and nothing more. I hate to give you a poor review based off of a quick phone call, but you have to have someone representing your company if theyre on the phones. I was wanting to do the $99 club but, Im really big on customer service so this was enough to have me shopping around again.

Council Tree Ave store. During my recent exam, I was encouraged to try a monthly contact trial before re-purchasing my regular, bimonthly contact lenses. Unfortunately, after two weeks of use, the right lense tore. I promptly contacted the store and inquired about purchasing a 6-month supply of my former lenses and inquired about a temporary lense to tide me over. Not only was the woman I spoke with rude, but was stern in informing me that I would not be able to purchase lenses without an appt and that they were booked for the day; I’d been in one month earlier for a prescription renewal. She also emphasized that I would not be given a spare lense, even though my lense had torn well before the end of the trial period and I’d already been encouraged to try these before re-purchasing the bimonthly set. I’ve been a member for nearly 3 years and this experience was disappointing.

This place is garbage. The quality of the lenses is incredibly poor even if you pay for all the extras. Also, the women who answer the phone are clueless and say they can’t provide you your prescription information over the phone or via email because of HIPAA, but they can mail or fax it to you? These guys are now doing a bait and switch they told me that I had the care package plan that my eye exam was free. I go to pay for my glasses and get my contact prescription and they tell me my care package expired 7 days ago and that my contact exam is going to be 80 bucks, I told them Im not paying for and to have the manager call me. This is fraud.
