Recently had an appt with Dr Epstein. Always a great experience, she has great bed side manners and always answers any questions I have. My whole family goes to her and we couldnt be happier. Sometimes the wait is long, but its well worth it for the health of my eye. My father recently had surgery with her and is thrilled with his vision now.The staff at her office are awesome as well! Every time I meet someone new they are friendly and professional. Certainly anyone can have a bad day, but in my experience I havent come across anyone who wasnt happy or great at their job. I highly recommend this office

I had the pleasure of seeing April and Dr. Epstein for my annual checkup. They were both so knowledgeable, personable, and efficient that it inspired my utmost confidence. I couldnt be happier with my experience.

I had a terrible experience at Albany Eye Associates, where I brought my third grade daughter for her first eye exam.I was surprised that nearly the entire exam was conducted by a technician, not the doctor -- I have been to MANY ophthalmologists through my life, and anywhere else I have been, the doctor herself does the whole exam.The tech never introduced herself and was not wearing any ID that I could see, so we never learned who she was. She didnt make any attempt to establish trust with my daughter -- for instance, she instructed her to sit down and stick her face in a machine without telling her what it was for, what it would do, whether it would hurt, etc. During the exam I repeatedly had to ask her, What will this do? and Can you explain what this will be like? so my daughter would understand. This is something that any medical professional should do with adults as well as children!The tech handled dilation VERY poorly -- from my conversations with other parents since then, it seems that most professionals who dilate childrens eyes use a variety of techniques to help make it an easy, positive experience. This tech did not warn my daughter that the numbing drop would sting. My daughter trustingly let her put one in one of her eyes, then looked at me in shock and pain and told me it felt like a bee had stung her in the eye. When the tech instructed my daughter to put her head back to do the other drop, but my daughter refused.The tech left the room to ask what to do, while my daughter sat in the chair sobbing and shaking with fear uncontrollably. She had begun the eye exam positive and trusting, assuming she would be respected and treated well, and at the end was a traumatized, shaking child, who for weeks keeps making me promise I will never, ever bring her back there again.At the end of the appointment we saw Dr. Epstein very briefly, who also made no attempt to connect with my daughter, but seemed to see her as a problem. She scolded her and me several times. When I asked how the practice dealt with other children finding dilation painful, she replied flippantly, We have a lot of crying and screaming.As we exited, I was handed a prescription that didnt make sense to me based on what Id observed during my daughters exam. I decided to take her for a second opinion, and that ophthalmologist came up with a different prescription. (In fairness, the second doctor said that while she felt her own prescription would be better for my daughter, she didnt think the Albany Eye Associates prescription was bad and said it would not have caused harm.)I will not be returning to Albany Eye Associates and would not recommend them to others, especially not for children.

My son had an appt there today and the team is very patient and made us feel comfortable. I want to thank them for the kindness and patience they had for my son today

This place is great. I was impressed. The staff is friendly and super helpful. The place is immaculate and very well run. Dr. Kassoff is excellent. Takes his time going over everything and explains it very well.

We feel fortunate to have Dr. Lynch-Guyette, who obviously cares deeply about her patients. If she finds a possible problem or we report one, she and the other staff are immediately all over it. We trust them.

The staff at Albany Eye Associates is wonderful. Dr. Lynch-Guyette is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. My son has been seeing her since he was 18 months & I know he is in excellent hands. There is a gentleman that does the eye pictures & unfortunately I dont know his name. He is phenomenal. He is so funny & puts my son & I at ease every time were there for more photos. Kudos to the group! I would feel comfortable recommending them to everyone.

This was a great experience! I brought my son in for his annual checkup, and the technician was very thorough and friendly. Dr. Goldberg shown genuine concern about his exam and did not rush through it. I would highly recommend this practice for all ages.

I appreciate the courtesy and kindness of Dr. Allen and her staff on this delayed follow-up visit. As it turned out, I really needed the follow-up, as I had not been clear about the doctors instructions, in addition to problems Id had with compliance. Dr. Allens patient, deeper explanations helped considerably. Now that I understand better, Im on the plan, and I feel that Im doing much better.

I had an issue that wasn’t urgent but worried me. I got an appointment a few days away and received a thorough exam. My eye practice for the last 15 years. I feel in safe hands. The office is very efficient.

All of the staff Ive dealt with here are wonderful. The reason for my 3 stars is because if you are coming here, and you are coming for multiple tests, expect to spend a large portion of your day here. The first time I came here, I cant recall if it was 4 different machines I was tested on, and then saw my regular eye doctor, and I was there for over 3 hours, pretty sure it was closer to 4. This last time I only had 2 tests, was dilated, and saw my doctor, and again was there at least 2.5 hours. I am sure it is because of the number of doctors they have, and the number of people who all need the same tests with perhaps a limited number of machines to use, but it really is unenjoyable. You get called in for one test, they send you back out to the waiting room until the next, and on and on until youre done and the doctor is ready to see you. Also, the office chairs could really be updated since you spend so much time in them - these look like originals from the 80s. Really not comfortable. If they could just improve the patient experience in these ways, it would be great.So if you need to come here, expect to take at least a half day off from work. Maybe the full day if you drive far to get here. I just dread having to spend so much time at the doctors office.

I am very satisfied with Albany Eye Associates. The staff is courteous and the waiting room is pleasant. The appointments tend to take a long time, but that is because they are so thorough. My opthamologist is Dr. Patel. He is thorough and is willing to answer any questions. He does not make you feel rushed. I am very happy to have found him. My only negative is that the young man who did my vision test seems not to be fully familiar with his equipment yet. He was not an optometrist and several times the two lens choices he offered me were much much worse than the previous offerings. Im not entirely confident that he came up with the best prescription possible.

I have been a patient here for three years now seeing Dr Goldberg. She and the entire staff are so welcoming and warm. It is always a great experience. Going to any doctor can be stressful but they make the process smooth and the environment is calm and comfortable.

I found things to be friendly and caring but businesslike and efficient. I wish more organizations that I deal with operated as well as this one. I will continue to come here.

I found Albany Eye Associates to be an excellent place for eye care. All of the staff from reception to the final stages of visiting with the doctor was amazing. They were all very helpful and friendly. The service was the quickest I’ve seen too. No long waits at all. I would definitely recommend them to anyone

Everything at my surgery was excellent. Dr. Patel, the nurses, all the staff were so very kind and thought of everything. It was the best experience in a hospital or surgery center I have ever had. There was one problem and it was very quickly taken care of. Will highly recommend this Dr. and center to everyone.

I always have a good experience at Albany Eye Associates. Today, before seeing Dr. Kassoff, I saw Tina, one of the techs. She was delightful, very efficient, and a pleasure to work with.

Always very caring professional and dedicated staff, Dr Patel is wonderful, Maya was a fantastic technician, and they always do a very thorough and complete job every time I go, would recommend them to anybody looking for great eye care!

Medical care and staff attitudes are always excellent. Often unexpected waiting times are a problem . On this day, the Technicians schedule was running way ahead of the Doctors. That left me twiddling thumbs in an exam room for 20 minutes or more.

Check in was really slow though there were 4 at desk and just me waiting. Not sure why. Once checked in, things went very quickly and they were well organized. Was in and out in less then 1 1/2 hours in spite of time taken to check in. Had new MD as Dr. White retired. New guy was quicker but not sure I got as thorough exam as with previous doctor. Check out was fine.

The office staff were professional and very friendly.Dr Patel had good bedside manner. The doctor explained everything thoroughly.I would recommend this practice.

Three years of experience as a patient: staff is always friendly, prompt and professional. Dr. Sehgal and his assistants do comprehensive and thorough exams. They responded immediately when I had an eye problem.

My Dr is GREAT! LOVE Dr Epstein!!! Only 4 stars due to visit taking over 3 hrs. Their system of testing steps, and the long wait for the first step, then in between steps, takes WAY too long. I live 110 miles away. Two long drives with a LONG visit is taxing. I could never use medical transportation. They would leave me there.

Very looooooong wait, but Dr. Allen is always worth it!!! I used tobe VERYVERY apprehensive about having my eyes examined. However, since I’ve been going to Albany Eye Associates, that has changed dramatically. I feel totally confident that no matter what problem may arise, I will be taken care of with complete competence. I especially like the fact that the retina doctor is “in house” as well, which eliminates driving elsewhere if there is a retina problem. Last, but hardly least, check-in and check-out are ALWAYS efficient and friendly. I just feel comfortable there!! They all lower your anxiety level to a new low‼️😊

Experience was excellent as always, everyone there is so friendly and helpful, Not to mention pleasant. I love Doctor GoldBerg, she is an excellent Doctor. She explains everything so that I am able to understand what she is doing.

I am always happy with the care I receive at the office. Very respectful & professional. On the day of my procedure I was inadvertently taken to the wrong place. They gave directions & made necessary calls so that I could still be able to keep my appointment. I was nervous enough but they made it work to my benefit. Thank you VERY much.

Great to have clear vision! Dr Kassoff and Dr Epstein are both professional and personable. As the time got closer to cataract surgery, I was totally informed on what was going to take place. Surgery went well, and happy to say the cloudiness that hampered my sight is gone! I still have my follow up appointments, but the quality of life has improved dramatically. Thank you Dr Epstein. Also, Amanda in surgical scheduling deserves attention. My conflicts with the follow up dates were change prompt, and with efficient professionalism.

Dr Patel and his staff are pleasant. This office has a pleasant atmosphere especially during these trying times.

I have gone to Dr. Eretto for over 30 years. Shes the best! Unfortunately my appointment with her had to be cancelled and the only Doctor I could see was Dr. Patel. I was very impressed with Dr. Patel. He provided the same level of service as Dr. Eretto and I felt very comfortable. I was seen promptly and wasnt there very long, despite having my eyes dilated and getting some imaging done.

Excellent treatment by Dr Epstein and nurse Martha. I was apprehend at 1 st . Martha was very supportive thru out the procedures.laser eye reduce pressures . Attention to all detail is uppermost in everyone I deal with here. Dr. Sehgal is very thorough as are the techs who work with him. All of the people at this site make sure that every thing that needs to be done IS done with speed and efficiency.

The staff are friendly and helpful. All my eye exams were well coordinated with minimal wait time. Dr. Lynch-Guyette is personable, understanding, listens well and cares for my needs.

I feel like my visit was a waste of my time. I barley got looked at. My exam was over in 2 minutes but my wait in the waiting room was much longer. I will think twice about returning there. Seems like I was just there so they could bill my insurance.

As usual, Dr Allen was very on top of everything. All went smooth & fast. Very pleased!

Dr. Patel is the best. He is gentle and kind. He and April came in on the weekend to make sure I was seeing well. I recommend Dr. Patel and this practice overwhelmingly.

Quick checkin. Very competent and friendly assistant did standard eye tests. Dr. Sehgal is very competent and patient friendly.

My eye doctor is Jordan Kassoff. I really like him and his staff. He is down to earth, easy to talk and he explains things very well. I have never had an unusually long wait time. Whenever I have called the office staff has been very helpful.

I was recently in the office with my mother-in-law. The staff was all very nice. The younger gentlemen Brian taking my mother-in-laws pictures was amazing. He was so polite and helped her get in and out of the chair. He was a breath of fresh air she said.

I’ve been a patient with Dr Patel for 2 years now. Staff in this office are always helpful and friendly.. whenever I have a issue I call the office and they always make it a point to do their best and get me in ASAP. Thank You Dr Patel and Staff for all that you do !!!

Dr. Allen is extremely thorough. I was there for two hours the last visit because of concerns over pressure in my eye. I highly recommend Dr Allen. She even personally called me a few days later in the evening to discuss the findings and treatment. The staff is very friendly. My fiancé also sees her and had cataract surgery by Dr Allen which was a great success.

Most comprehensive eye exam I had ever had. Discovered solutions to long standing problems. All staff and physicians were exceptional.

Always a bit of a wait, but not unpleasant. Everyone is professional and thorough and nice.

While they have improved greatly on pushing everyone through the various stops on a typical visit, sometimes one of the way points gets back logged. So you are actually dealing with a person maybe 20 minutes tops, but youre at the office for two hours. Lot of room for improvement.

Dr. Kristina Lynch-Guyette is awesome -- very thorough and friendly! She also takes the time to read through your chart before seeing you, which is awesome because I had an issue with another doctor there that after seeing her twice a year or more for 20 years didnt even know my name let alone looked at my chart ahead of time. Most of the staff are great too. My only annoyance with AEA is that the wait throughout the appointment can take over two hours which is absolutely outrageous in my opinion!

I followed my Neuro-Ophthalmologist Victoria Epstein here. I found the staff to be polite, caring, top notch. They made an already nervous appointment feel easier. I am glad too have followed my doctor here! And absolutely look forward too more appointments here.I have now been going here since February 2019. The staff are caring and amazing, I call with a concern and within an hour I have a response and typically an appointment.The ladies who help with the visual field test are awesome. When you have IIH this is a test you hat as you watch your eyes get worse each time and yet these women make you smile and laugh, they remember you each visit and care too know how you are.Dr. Epstein is absolutely phenomenal, she is always right on top of my care and listens too my concern, she helps come up with a care plan that works for myself and her... and she does not settle until she has an answer that makes sense.I give this place a 10/10

I haven’t had issues with them until recently. I got to my appt. early so I can be out in an hour. I was there for at least 2 hrs! I’m not sure if that particular day was overwhelming for them but my doctor had too many patients booked, I was not seen and I left with my eyes dilated! They are very professional and never had that type of experience until this occurred.

From start to finish, my visit with Dr Jordan Kassoff and staff was professional, timely and caring.

I have always received superior care at AEA, in both normal and emergency situations, where I was in great discomfort. From the support staff to the techs to the doctors, they clearly care about their patients!

Every time I brought my daughters here, the wait was awful. Brought my youngest for a check up yesterday and Dr. Epstein was absolutely horrid! Seemed distracted, impatient and was mean. Wrote in my daughters chart that she put in poor effort. Shes 7 and Dr. Epstein was raising her voice to her! Scared the daylights out of her. Said she couldnt get a consistent prescription. Well duh! My kid has blurry vision and cant see the letters! Brought her for a 2nd opinion and guess what? She needs glasses! Spent almost 3 hours here and the other doctor had her in and out with a prescription in less than an hour and a half. I will not be returning with either of my children. Shame on you Dr. Epstein!

Very thorough exam and procedures. Takes a bit of time but well worth it.

Staff are very nice. Drs are too and knowledgeable and caring! But environment is stuffy in one area cold in the next. And waiting is forever! We were there 3.5 hours in total.

We were referred to Dr. Eretto by our four month old son’s pediatrician for some eye issues he was having. Dr. Eretto was absolutely amazing, she took her time and was very thorough and made it the best experience she could for our son! She played with him and held him at the end just to say goodbye! She is an amazing doctor and we left feeling reassured and confident in choosing this practice and Dr. Erretto for our child. I highly recommend her for anyone with young children who need to see an ophthalmologist!

Tried to become a patient after my former opthamologist recommended them. The physicians have separate scheduling people. Nobody actually answers the phone. Called four times, left two messages with contact number and received zero return calls.
