My mother has been a resident at Dodge Park Rest Home for more than 2 years. This facility is amazing. Every employee is well trained in strategies to interact with dementia patients. They make the residents feel comfortable and LOVED. The residents truly believe they are part of their family. The two owners of the facility were destined to take care of the elderly. It is their true calling. The administration only excepts the best from their employees. If you are looking for a safe place for your loved one, please check out this rest home. It is comforting to know that their is always someone there to hold my mothers hand or give her a much needed hug!

I have a close relative (with memory problems) that has been living at Dodge Park Rest Home for the last four years. The facility is always clean and comfortable. The meals are nutritious and have a great variety. There is plenty of entertainment. The residents clothes are cleaned regularly as well as the bedding. The staff is amazing! More than willing to help any and all of the residents anytime. Great place - Great people!

Very happy with the care my mom has been receiving. We placed our mom here in 2018 due to her dementia. The staff here have been very caring and considerate - it really shows. Would highly recommend.

They take such wonderful care of my Mom who resides there and so impressed with the amount of daily programming available to their residents. Our mom is sweet and dear to us and Dodge Park Rest Home has been such a blessing to her. She is cared for lovingly in a lovely environment that has perfect soothing yet social and fun activities for someone with severe dementia. My father has been living at Dodge Park for more than two years, and most recently, my mother needed professional care and moved to Oasis at Dodge Park. Words cannot express the compassion and care the directors and staff have shown us, we are grateful. Their approach to senior care is unique in that it is greater care than assisted living, yet has a warm, caring , and at-home atmosphere (unlike nursing homes we visited). The majority of staff are long-term with ten or more years, and they are like family to us. Currently with the challenge of Covid, I know that my parents are in excellent hands and are receiving the best qualitative senior care in the area. Thank you all.

Having my mother placed at Dodge Park was definitely one of the best things that could have happened for her with her dementia. I find that the staff is extremely competent, takes great care of my mother,,communicate often and are always available to chat and all are Very kind from top to bottom to all their residents all the time. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My Father has been at Dodge Park for four years. During this time he has received excellent care. The staff at Dodge Park has always exhibited a level of kindness and compassion that is exemplary. There is a warm family atmosphere that permeates every part of the organization.

Its rare to find a facility in long term care that features such dedicated caring local owners. Care for the residents is the primary focus of every service and program they offer. A terrific place.

A place that cares more about saving money and public imagine then it does elder care and supporting (over even managing) staff members.A place that you easily see staff in tears from lack of support and frustration. A place that tell you it is flexible and accommodating yet once hired follows through with none of this.Upper mangers are NEVER on the same page, poor communication to staff but punishes staff for not being able to read minds essentially.Residents are often poorly cared for and often borders of neglect. No follow up from mangers.Run like business to the point where they do anything they can to save money at the expense of staff and the residents (openly favoring residents at the newer Oasis building and since the families pay more their they get better care)

Dodge Park Rest Home is run by caring and extremely experienced ownership. This is a top notch facility where anyone that needs to put their loved one in should feel comfortable and good to do so.

My wife Jeannie has been a resident at Dodge Park for five years. During the past couple of years she has been bed ridden.The nurses and staff have taken loving care under these difficult circumstances. This involves repositioning her on a regular schedule to avoid developing sores. Involves feeding her and changing her as needed.We are in difficult times with the threat of the deadly virus. So many nursing homes have had disastrous out breaks . Dodge Park acted very early to shut down the facility and as a result their residents have been uniformly protected. I missed seeing Jeannie for all those months but I have come to understand and appreciate the proactive effort.My thanks to Ben, Micha, Meri , Carrie and staff. .Paul O’Hara.

After three failed placements for our mother, we discovered Dodge Park. She went there a year ago in December. Thank heavens!Two months later Covid19 erupted. Management at Dodge Park took action immediately, closing the facility off, implementing use of PPE, instituting frequent staff and resident testing (often at their own expense), installing UV light fixtures in the ceiling, and continuing to care for and give families reports on the residents.They have been successful at preventing the major outbreaks that have plagued so many other long term care facilities, and have kept our mother safe.The owners, Micha and Ben are very caring people who hold their staff to high standards. The staff, many of whom have been there for numerous years, are also very caring and accessible to family members.I highly recommend Dodge Park and it’s team of dedicated professionals.

I have worked along side Ben and Micha the owners of Dodge Park for many years. It is easy to see that both Ben and Micha care deeply for both the residents of Dodge Park, as well as the staff at Dodge Park. I have also interacted with and worked beside many of the staff and all have only had extremely nice things to say about their experience working at Dodge Park.

The Dodge Park Rest Home team provide a caring, compassionate approach to resident needs. The staff are attuned to resident care and work very cohesively.

A place that has amazing potential for both residents and employees and instead focuses on over-working and under-training staff. Resident care varies on how much staff likes the resident and trying to go to superiors with complaints of neglect are not taken seriously.Both building are amazing however only one building ever seems to allow residents to actually go outside (this is pre-pandemic) and staff if expected to do the work of a manager without the support or pay they give the actual managers. Not to mention prioritizing the care of residents whos family where their over the residents actual needs. Residents where constantly left in soiled clothes or would come in to the activity room at 5AM with last nights dinner on them, hair not done ,ect.activities department are excepted to do the work of an aide without the pay or respect a titles aid gets on top of their regular work.I spent a year working their, was frequently praised for my work but when my own wife had health issues and COVID struck I was not allowed to take either sick or vacation times (not even for either of her surgeries) and when I came into work one day the HR manger who had issues with me since her short time of being their had me leave to take a COVID test or not to come back- despite no symptoms.If it wasnt for the residents who I loved engaging with and their amazing families I would have left after the first few months. I hope this place learns to put the residents and the staff above saving a few dollars and then maybe the turn-over rate would decrease and people could be properly trained and residents properly cared for.

Dodge Park is a fun environment to work in. However, they make it clear that we have a serious responsibility, we help residents and family members transition through one of the toughest situations life can unfortunately through our way. Some people just dont get that. The marijuana allegations are really a joke, just ask to see the policy. In regards to some of the unnecessary responses, they are coming from a place of love, love for Dodge Park. The Owners, management, employees give it their all each and every day to make Dodge Park a fantastic place to work and a great place to bring your parents.

My experience with Dodge Park and Oasis over the past year has been nothing but a blessing. The staff and owners truly care about each resident and their well-being. The owners provide great incentives for the staff including tuition assistance. Each building is continously growing and introducing new programs. It has been a joy to be a part of such a great company.

We are extremely grateful for the wonderful care my mother-in-law has received over the past three years at Dodge Park Rest Home. We know that we can drop in at any time and find her to be clean, comfortable, and well cared for even though she is no longer able to do this on her own. It has always been a primary goal of the management and staff to help her keep her dignity despite her deteriorating capabilities and we cannot thank them enough for this. When her dementia caused her to behave in a way that was making it difficult for her to be managed, we became concerned that she would need to be transferred to a nursing home. But the staff at Dodge Park found a simple and innovative way to circumvent her behavior and keep her in the only place that is familiar to her now. Michas knowledge of dementia and creative problem solving skills are a treasure. We are so grateful that he and Ben strive to be helpful not only to our mom but to us.Finding a place to care for an aging parent is not something a person has to do very often in their lifetime. For us, my mother-in-law was the only one of our four parents who required this kind of care and we were quite overwhelmed by the whole process. But the management team at Dodge Park patiently walked us through the steps and was always available to talk about any and all aspects of the transition. When the time came to move from private pay to state aide, the process was seamless. We received the financial guidance we needed to complete the right documents at the right time so her treatment was uninterrupted and she continued to receive the same high quality care that we have come to rely on at Dodge Park.

Im leaving a 1 star but saying this place needs better management!I read your post you wrote berating a past employee who posted about their experience working for you and you think its professional to bad talk them rather than just ignore the post? You have just shown everyone what kind of person you are whomever wrote that post.That tells me a lot about that person and how truly factual the employees experience must have been.

I love the activities they have for the residents, they always do their best to create fun moments for them. It’s a home away from home for me.

Micha, and Ben are so great to the residents, and us staff. Great place to work , wonderful environment. Cleanest nursing home I worked at so far.

A lot of Rest homes have the New Employees, take a drug test, but evidently Dodge park doesnt. Ive heard it They dont mind if you smoke weed. Well lets match up the incident reports with Aide and give a urine text. I strongly urge Dodge park to start doing Randoms for the Residents they deserve more. This is why Im hesitant to apply , Randoms will surprise you!!! If you fail to Act its abuse & Neglect.

The quality of care is top notch at Dodge Park. Mike and Ben truly care for the residents and go the extra mile. I cannot recommend Dodge Park enough. I wish there were 6 stars.

I’ve been working at dodge park and oasis now for 7 years. It has been an amazing place to work since day one- the management and staff are-truly amazing and caring here and treat the residents like they were they’re own.

THE NEW BUILDING LOOKS GREAT AND FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT ......BUT I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO PEOPLE OF COLOR.....MY FRIEND AND I WENT IN TO APPLY FOR A JOB......AND AS WE ENTERD.......EVERYONE WAS STARRING AT US AS IF ALIENS HAD INVADED THE PLACE.....ONE LADY CAME OUT OF NO WHERE WITH EMOJI FACE(you know what I mean right) ASKING US IN A RUDE MANNER IF WE ABLE TO WORK EVERY WEEKEND .......THIS FELT LIKE A DIRECT RELPY OF SAYING WE DO NOT NEED YOU HERE......WE FELT SO UNWELCOME......WE SHOULD LOVE AND SEE OURSELVES AS EQUAL....NOT THE OTHER WAY......PEACE OUT!!!!!!

I felt like I was dealing with family from the very first experience with the staff at Dodge Park Rest Home. My husband had frontotemporal lobe dementia. He is so curious about what the next activity will be....he doesnt want to miss anything, even after a year of residency. I cant thank Micha and Ben for all they do!

This place is ABSOLUTELY the worst and dont value their employees!!!! You claim you care for employees but your employees complain day in and day out of how overly worked they are because you are short staffed and feel under appreciated , when addressing issues instead of taking a person aside to address an issue you openly do so in front of others in an unprofessional manner . You can feed an offer your employees all the benefits in the world but when it comes to RESPECT YOU ALL LACK IT DEARLY . I could care less about being terminated if I as a person am shown my work goes unappreciated I could care less about the benefits that come with the position, being a CNA is a physically demanding and tiring job hard enough to deal with patients with dementia and their outbursts but it’s worse when you deal with staff who could care less about you as a person and care more about having an Abled body to work. My father passed did not take time off for that worked every shift and even picked some up . The day I picked up a shift (on my day off) I made it clear I may or may not be able to come in due to my father on life support and was going to be taken off soon and when I informed you they decided to take him off I would not be coming in I Was asked if I would be in for work the rest of the week not a sorry for your loss let us know if there’s anything we can do then I get suspended two days for choosing my responsibility as a mother to my children first .Then finally it came down to being terminated I was unjustly terminated due to lack of communication and false statements and when trying to bring it to the attention of the owner to resolve the issue he has the nerve to say “ your personal problems arnt of my concern is my duty to make sure my facility and it’s residents are cared for “ that doesn’t sound very caring to me. You come on here to quickly defend your name but I am only one voice but don’t think for a minute that I am the only person who has negative things to say about this facility. People who don’t even work at the facility, people who do ,and families of residents who are in the facility all heard things know things, seen things. You are quick to claim I “begged” for my job back lol I don’t beg anyone for anything I simply wanted to be heard out to clear a misunderstanding . Just last week your lead had to “beg” your employees to stop with the negative remarks and complaints about working there because it was scaring off the new trainees. The sad part of this all is if I couldn’t even file a complaint going up the chain of command in hopes of finding a reasonable resolution without feeling like I was being targeted that means no one else can because they all side with each other but now if I say I have the doctors notes and letter from the funeral excusing my absences with reason I’m pretty sure there are laws in place for my being terminated. If you all had nothing to worry about why were you all so quick to defend your name. “A guilty conscience needs no accuser.”
