I was a patient at Parsons Hill for a week to rehabilitate my legs. What I loved about Parson Hill was the staff, how professional they are and also how caring they show kindness to all the patients. The rooms are comfortable and the food is good, they provide entertainment such as arts and craft, bingo, moives and they bring in a person to sing music to us. I highly recommend this facility for those in need of health care and rehabilitation. My hats off to you Parsons Hill and keep up the good work.

The care is okay for long term but falls short for immediate care. The procedure of holding mail and packages for a day after it is delivered borders on gestapo tactics. They invade patients privacy by looking into packages. This facility is the only one in the industry currently doing this. The building is 50 or more years old with old wiring and electrical sockets being overused by staff and patients. Not allowed by electrical code in other facilities. Some bathrooms are used by 8 people and are not wheelchair accessible.Nurses become fiercely negative when confronted withmistakes building is Micro-managed by an administrator running unfettered by parent company.Doctor visits are seldom if at all and DONs seem to be involved in everything until mistakes are noted then play the excuse game when confronted with mistakes. Rooms are substandard and hnavent been renovated.

We enjoyed a wonderful and thoughtful breakfast buffet. The staff went above and beyond to make the morning a very nice time. The dining room was set up beautifully and the food was good.

I stayed in this place and it’s horrible there are only a few cnas that care it’s takes hours to get your medicine. My call light would be on for a very long time and people would walk by and do nothing. I would not recommend this place to anyone it’s horrible!!! I really can’t even give it a one star rating if anything it’s half a star and that’s being nice!

My brother was made to stay in this place for some time and Ill tell you the conditions were terrible... You enter the place and have to walk past what they call the poop Deck which is appropriately named as the smell is awful. They all hangout outside smoking cigs all day. My brothers roommate continued to get alcohol in the place from visitors. Someone on here said drugs were obtainable too which I can totally see as being possible. I know my brother was there for rehabilitation from losing his leg due to substance abuse but this place is bad, there are other options that seem to take things more seriously and professionally.

As an employee at Parson Hill I love and enjoy coming to work everyday to see my residents and help them in any way possible. It is unfortunate we have a pandemic going on, but we try to come up with new things to do with our residents to make their stay here a better one!

I was visitng my grandma today for the first time.. I went to go look for a bathroom i found the bathroom right across the hall from the kitchen... The bathroom was filthy gross i didnt even want to use it.. I feel its very unsanitary to have such a dirty bathroom next to the kitchen.. I also learned the barbershop was right in between the kitchen and bathroom so i got even more grossed out. Hair can get into the food.. The nurses have no customer service. Very rude. They are just there to collect a check. They do not care about the residents. I also saw rat poop in the corner of my grandmothers room. This place is not somewhere youd want your loved ones.

I would NEVER place a loved one there. The few good staffers cant make up for the short comings of the facility overall.

This place is terrible.Instead of helping people with addiction they turn their heads and ignore the problem .Below is lying to help cover up her addiction problem .Drug addicts are master liars .Sneaking clean pee into a drug screening is not being clean and sober and this place was notified of it .Perhaps a blood test might work better. How could sick people be up all hours of night and bouncing off the walls and sneaking into the showers and into each others rooms doing drugs ... is that What you call security ?How could they let drug addicts mouth their sleep meds and save it for latter so they could get high threw the nite then take it latter to help sleep. How could they allow heroin addicts access to their Pic- Line IVs knowing that is where they are shooting their dope into !Drugs are Brought into this place easy because they are not allowed to strip search you.Staff is not doing their jobs on drug screen assessment abuse , they should be able to see very clearly that Dilated eyes , Rapid Speech.Again this place was notify of these problems and choose to do nothing about it .They choose to believe a person who has lifetime of addiction over a spouse who just wants her live and be mother of 6mth old baby who DCF has custody of baby and she lost her other 2 children and who is in this place with blood infection caused by dirty needles and now will require heart surgery. You cant make this much stuff up and everything is on record with the stateWhere is the help ?How many addicts need to die before they take it seriously.

I have been in parson hills for 2/1/2 months,i was always treated with dignity acompassion and respect.true there understaffed, what hospital isnt. this place has a bad rep.,but that comes from the clients,90% are addicts and ther are very winny and demanding, especially when they cant get the drugs they want here.the staff deals with verbal abuse, physical .if you want help/treatment,an oppertunity to get better its here, most just want a roof over ther heads and a bed, food and a place to continueabuse, yet every day the staff shows up and it starts again.the staff here cares about the people here no matter how much abuse they take.these are trully deadacated carring people who come in every day, with one goal in mind, helpplng the clients,God bless them

Parsons had my family member there whom they treated very poorly. His leg was swollen due to blood clot and not a single doctor or nurse picked up on it. It took a family member to visit to notice the swell who then contacted emergency services to take him to a hospital. The doctors at this facility do not care about the patients and does not provide services based on the oath they have taken as doctors to care for humanity.

Working as a professional in the social services field , Parsons Hill is not one of the top nursing home rehabilitation centers in the area. Overcrowding and lack of staff are two big issues at this facility. Also poor discharge planning is detrimental not only to the client but the families they are going home to.
