I only have one good thing to say about this place. Dr Strehlow was a nice doctor, who listened to what I had to say and genuinely wanted to help. The staff seemed OK when I made visits. However the part that brings this place down is the billing. They sent my account to collections for $79. Which I might add, I didnt know about. I did not receive a bill from them for 6+ months. I know they have my address, because it was on the collections statement. No phone calls, nothing. Thats completely unacceptable business practice. If you cant be bothered to send me a bill, why should I be bothered to pay you?

Do not allow this place to treat you. I repeat - do not allow this place to treat you. Take the time to go somewhere else. Read the other reviews - true stories. Kept billing me asking for hundreds of dollars after theyd already been paid by me in full - which they demanded two days before surgery. How can I owe you money after surgery when you demanded that I pay you in full prior to the surgery? I called when I received the bill and they claimed to have no record of any payment by me. None. Had to call my insurance company and send them a copy of my bank statement showing Id paid, and thankfully my insurance company got them straightened out. But they tried it. Plenty of people may have just paid the money thinking it was legitimate. Illegal billing practices. Privately owned. Outdated. Go to another doctor in another hospital system. Did not follow best practices in treatment. If I could go back and undo one thing from the past year, I never wouldve trusted this place to treat me. Nightmare on all fronts.

Went to urgent care on February 11, 2021, was referred by them to see a urologist. I called the next day unfortunately “the lady I spoke with was my own ethnicity and asked a lot of who, what, when, and how, questions! And wouldn’t schedule me an appointment!!!! Weeks later appointment within my doctors office for same symptoms. Called February 24, 2021 received an appointment February 25, 2021 and was sent to the same urologist but spoke to a different person and got an appointment within minutes! Do better with your staff and how they communicate!

I was referred here from my family doctor. They told me that I UCoS will call me with an appointment. 2 days later I called them and they said they had not received the referral but know of it. Had my name and phone number but was waiting on the referral to come through. I made the initial appointment and they decided that a cystoscopy was in order. we scheduled that for a Thursday. The Tuesday prior at 3 pm I get a phone call stating that I have to pay them up front for my part of the procedure and a 34.00 balance or they will have to cancel the procedure. They wanted me to give them the credit card information over the phone, which I refuse to do for anyone for security reasons. So I had to reschedule a meeting at work to take time off to go to their office, the only one i had been seen at, to pay them. they told me i had to go to the main office to pay because it was a prepay. they could take the 34.00 payment there and my co-pay, but not the prepay.They called again on Wednesday at 4:55 to say they have not seen the payment. I told them I tried to pay but they insisted that I either give them the card information so the could relay it by phone or drive to the other side of town. She told me that because I had not paid they would have to cancel the procedure. I told them that was okay because i would not be doing any further business with them.Save yourself a lot of headaches and go somewhere else.

If I could give them less than one star I would. The staff is rude and the doctors couldnt care less about your health and the office is dirty. My appointments are constantly re-scheduled. This place will worry more about the money than the patient. Stay Away From Spartanburg Regional, more specifically Medstream Anesthesia.

Dr. Strehlow is a wonderful urologist. I have been seeing him for 3 years now. Very polite and really listens to you.

All they care about is making money. I waited almost 2 hours for the doctor for her to spend 5 minutes with me. I get the bill for the visit and they had filed it for the highest possible tier of office visits. That is insurance fraud. Billing office refused to refile at a lower code. They also performed an unnecessary bladder scan, due to their incompetence, that they billed for. I had a UA performed that day that I did not get the results of until a week later. Had the doctor not been so rushed to see all her other cash cows, perhaps she could have informed me of the results during my office visit. Please report any suspicion of insurance fraud on the part of your doctors office to your insurance and your state insurance fraud bureau. Keep these doctors accountable.

Spent a year trying to get the doctor to care that I was in pain. He finally did a exploratory surgery and it didnt help my problems. He seems very unsure what to do and they send your account to a lawyer if you cant pay immediately. Gee, if your doctor could figure out whats wrong I could go to work and pay you. Its also not like there isnt a pandemic going on right now, you would think they would give some leeway with things. Would not recommend this office.

Marissa Gregory Prosser works for the Urology center as a medical assistant. She is a criminal, a thief, scams hard working people out of their money and should not be working for your center. I suggest you do something about the trash in your building

Dr. Strehlow and Dr. Kinard are great. And the nurses are great. But Dawn in billing is incredibly rude.

This place is a joke. Cancelled surgery without informing our family. Then while waiting for an explanation they spent several hours talking and bouncing back and forth with staff laying blame not realizing that we could hear everything. So NOT doing a good job. STAY AWAY FROM HERE

The scheduling department is lazy and incompetent. It took two weeks and one day to get my wifes surgery scheduled meanwhile while she was suffering. They would not reply back to voice mails or email or phone calls. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I WOULD HAVE GAVE ZERO STARS ON THE REVIEW IF IT WAS AN OPTION!!!!

Very satisfied with the staff of the urology center. Dr. Anderson was so nice and made me feel comfortable. I would recommend her to anyone with urological problems.👍👍👍

Im an easygoing person, but Urology Center of Spartanburg is frustrating and horrible. Calling this place incompetent is being too generous. Staff is (still) quite rude. Its nearly impossible to get a human on the phone. I wouldnt recommend this place for a pet, much less a human.

I thought I was going to have to leave the practice to find me another caring, compassionate doctor after Dr. Kerfoot retired. I was really giving up hope since he left and the covid hit. Most of the former staff also disappeared that Ive known for years. Which is sad. I was starting to feel like a number and my health just didnt matter.Thank God the nurse practitioner was still there to keep me going and showed she still cared!!Luckily the Doctor I was stuck with in the beginning couldnt do the my interstim reversal needed. So I was sent to another doctor in the practice who could. Dr. Anderson. The first visit before my surgery was great. Her nurse was so caring and informational, doctor Anderson also seems knowledgeable and caring. She is willing to take me on as a patient and get me back on track to where Dr. Kerfoot had me before if not better than before. So I now start my new journey with her with finally a new ray of hope.

My dad has kidney stones and I want to brag on Amber there. She took time out of her busy schedule to make sure my dad was properly treated in the right way. All hospitals deserve someone like her and she deserves to move on up. She was very respectful, polite, nice, and did everything so smoothly in the process with my dad after surgery. Thank you to all the Urology Center of Spartanburg and especially Dr. Kinard and Amber for making this a smooth easy experience!

I had prostate surgery performed by Dr. Paul Ellis five years ago and I continue seeing him to this very day. My recovery from the surgery when very well. Dr. Ellis has the best bedside manner ever. He is very soft spoken and speaks in terms that you can understand. I was treated very well by Dr. Ellis and his nurse Angie. Dr. Ellis was very knowledgeable in reference to my condition, and the diagnosis he made. I would recommend Dr. Ellis and the Urology Center of Spartanburg to any and everyone. In my opinion Dr. Ellis is a very good qualified and knowledgeable physician.

Hire people who care. The staff could care less if people are suffering.

Dr. Ellis is very Thorough and answers all my questions. The nurse Angie always treats me like I’m family. All the way from my Kidney Cancer diagnosis, to me now being Cancer free for over a year, this office has been Cordial, professional and like family to me. I have been a patient here for 8 years. I have no issues with the physicians or with the individual staff members. However, I do have major problems with how the practice is run. Specifically, their telephone system. I find it impossible to get through to a person. Over the past two weeks every time I try to contact the Nurse Triage line I have been unable to get through. I press 4 to leave a message and then I am told that the mail box is not accepting new messages. This happened at 10AM this morning, 1 PM yesterday, and 9 AM two weeks ago. Individual staff members have told me this shouldnt happen and then give me their direct lines. Otherwise I would never be able to get through to anyone. Note that this is also the mailbox where you leave a message to request a prescription refill. If searching for a urologist, I suggest that you go elsewhere.

Very unimpressed with the service lack there of Ive received from the facility. Dr Kerfoot is the Dr I saw and he was a little rude at my initial appointment and seemed to rush me through the visit. Since my visit over the last few weeks Ive tried getting in touch with the nurses, leaving countless messages, talked with the new office manager Becky who seems to lack training, several times; nothing gets done. Ive even put in a call to the CEO Melissa and havent received a call back yet. I am ending my care at this office and advise anyone reading this to steer clear and choose a more skilled and compassionate urology center.

Dr. Kerfoot is spectacular. Caring, honest. And puts a little dose of humor on top of it. Takes quick action instead of prolonging things. I wish he could be my primary care physician.

Went into the office for some information regarding an appointment I thought I might need. Kasey at the front desk of Dr. Staleys office was very informative and helpful. Even gave me new patient paperwork if the appointment was needed. I, in the end, did not need to come to the urology center for my health needs, but the staff were extremely helpful and polite.

Phone is all automated and takes forever to get someone not the line. Was transfered 3x and the last transfer was to a voicemail.... no one was able to help a potential client get a simple answer regarding cost. With the bad reviews and poor service thus far, there is no way Id trust these people with my surgery. Im sure there are experienced Drs and good staff, but the experience I had was very poor .

I would not recommend Dr. Anderson to anyone.

I was just trying to find out the cost of a vasectomy after discovering Dr. Staley has good reviews online. The lady in charge of knowing how much it costs was so rude to me on the phone and hung up in my face. If you cant handle a few questions from a potential customer before you cut open my privates, maybe you shouldnt work in customer service. I will not be using this facility! Oh, by the way, if you have swelling or problems with your vasectomy 3 days later and need to come back, none of that is covered apparently either. Thats all I was able to find out in my phone call before being hung up on.

Do not use this facility. I recently had eye surgery here. Then I started getting bills for the full amount stating that I didnt have health insurance. After a lot of phone calls and much frustration I finally discovered they were billing the insurance I had from a previous surgery in 2011 and I had a credit of $372.00. I guess they were just going to keep the money. Still trying to straighten this out.

Dr. Strehlow is a great doctor very kind and takes him time. I woyld recommend him to any family and friends needing any urology needs.

Dr Williams, 5th floor, and his excellent nurses are very concerned with your health. That is very rare in the medical community these day.Ten stars.

I go to Dr.Britanisky and I have found him to be concerned about my condition. from the time I check in until I check out they are very attentive to me and my condition.

This is the worst clinic ever. Never go there. The people there are really irresponsible and unorganized. They kept sending me bills, one after another saying that I still owe them money when I have already paid my balance. Then, they gave me reason like....but these were done in lab and all the other craps just to make me pay for something that I did not do. Seriously do not go there, unless you want to pay more than you need to.

Horrible place. Been in pain. No help. Just tests. Dr. Anderson awful

Dr Kerfoot is absolutely awesome. Kind, caring and to the point. My complaint is not with Dr Kerfoot or the in whole, it’s with one particular nurse. My wife had a procedure done by Dr Kerfoot and afterwards, released with minimal instructions. After getting home her pain excelled highly, even with pain medsthere was no relief. After about 4 hours at home with this pain I called in to the doctor’s office to check if this is normal. We were first told by nurse Lisa that they will not call in any stronger pain meds (we didn’t call for any), next she (nurse Lisa) told us that we should have called earlier because now it’s after 4 PM and we may need to go to the ER. Doctor told her no, that we needed to get in to the office. After getting there, nurse Lisa’s attitude was still bad, as if we were ruining her evening plans. As she started working with my wife and determined that there was indeed something wrong, her attitude changed as if she was some caring nurse. I fully understand the problem with controlled substances but to assume we were drug searching because we had questions was over the top. Not pleased at all with that nurse and her immediate assumption.

I enjoyed the service provided by the physician and staff.

Dr Kerfoot is the most kind and caring Doctor. Have been treated by Dr Kerfoot for almost 11 years... I was diagnosed with Intercystial Cystitis by Dr Kerfoot in 2005..After many many years of chronic pelvic pain.. I had been thru many test going from Doctor to Doctor.. Even had Hysterectomy at age 32 due to cyst on ovarys and Endometrios, Only to still have chronic pelvic pain, I had many many Doctors not to believe me..Thank God for placing Dr Kerfoot on my team he has helped me with a disease that still 97% of Doctors know nothing about.. Thank You Dr Kerfoot for all you do for me and many more of your patients!!

Dr. Ellis had absolutely atrocious bedside manner,and was extremely condescending.He treated me as if I didnt matter,passive aggressively insulting me a couple of times.He left me feeling even more hopeless in an already hopeless situation.He also didnt seem to be very knowledgeable about my possible condition/diagnosis.I say possible because he simply refused me the services required to properly diagnose the condition.I went through a lot of trouble to get an appointment at The Urology Center of Spartanburg only to be spit on and have the door shut in my face.Mr. Ellis is clearly in the wrong line of work,as he is severely lacking the social skills and the compassion to be a good physician ..or human being for that matter.

TOTALLY THE WORST-WAIT IS OVER 2 HOURS- SINCE THEY ARE THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN- THEY DO WHAT THEY WANT.DR. HULL DID CANCER SURGERY- THEN WENT OUT OF TOWN FOR 2 WEEKS- I HAD NO ONE TO HELP WITH PROBELMS...AND I HAD MANY-INCLUDING PEEING OUT STAPLES!THEY ALL SUCK.BUT THERE IS NO WHERE ELSE TO GO.OFFICE PERSONNEL ARE UNCARING- PHONE PEOPLE WHO DO APPOINTMENTS ARE SNOTS.IF YOU CAN GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE?? DO IT!!

I thank the LORD MY UPPER AND LOWER WENT WELL.
