Dr McCarthy and staff are wonderful they listen and pay attention. What a wonderful place

I drove about 20 minutes to this practice because they take in walk-in patients, but today I came in and was told that they stopped taking walk-in patients a year ago because of COVID, but i came with my daughter less than a month ago without an appointment and we were attended to. Office staff needs better patient care manners for sure

Dr. McCarthy is a great Doctor and takes the time to get to know you. He has been my doctor for many years.

I have been a patient of this practice for several years. Dr. Aya-Aye and Dr McCarthy are very caring and personable. The staff inside is a pleasure to see even on the worst days.

Ive brought my daughter here for the past few years for a sports physical. I had always had a pleasant experience, until today. We walked in around 4:20, they close at 5 but we have done it before and are usually in and out by 5 with no problem (my child doesnt like missing any school). Well, today the receptionist tells me that they do not do walk-ins after 2:00. There were no patients in sight. If this is in fact true, then the website should say as much. I just feel like they just wanted to go home. It is unfortunate because we have always been pleased with the service from the doctors there. We went to AFC urgent care instead, who took us right in.

I had a fantastic experience with Palmetto Proactive. My wife was able to get an appointment for me the day that she called. Their location was easy to find and the office environment was welcoming. I didnt have to sit in the waiting room for very long and when Dr. McCarthy saw me I didnt feel rushed at all. Way less paperwork and hassle, since they dont deal with insurance - and the fee was extremely reasonable. Ill definitely plan on using these guys again. Highly recommended.

This place is the best. Affordable, staff is pleasant, doctors are knowledgeable. Yes - sometimes, you do have to wait, but its like that pretty much in any reputable/established doctors office...esp. one like this one that runs on a schedule but also takes walk ins...so the complaint that is listed here about waiting 30 minutes to be seen...that doesnt seem out of the ordinary to me IMO. Ive waited up to 2 hours in other doctors offices - and they ran on a schedule only - and never took in unpredictable daily walk ins. So - I say have some patience if you have to wait - this place is the best.

Dr. Aye aye is fantastic, hes very smart, helpful, cares about his job, patients, coworkers and staff. I dont go anywhere else and it beats a bill on your credit when you can pay cash its not even a fraction of an original visit to the er & the time wait and visit is much shorter... having to not wait for 6 hours in the er is go great!!!! 5 stars for this place, the receptionists are great too always friendly and very knowledgable...Illnever go any where else ❤❤❤❤❤❤

WOW! What an awesome Physician Dr. McCarthy is! I usually HATE going to the Dr. but I am so glad I chose to come here! Dr. McCarthy didnt rush me in and out, listened to EVERY concern I have had. And we came up with a treatment plan together! I cannot believe how great he is. The Holy Grail of Physicians! I will never go anywhere else! I hate to let the secret out, but I cant sing his praises enough!

These guys and gals are fantastic. Absolutely a great team of physicians. They get you in quickly and listen to what you are saying.

The doctors and staff here are the BEST! They are competent, helpful, and empathetic - exactly the way a medical clinic should be. I cannot say enough positive things about Palmetto Proactive Healthcare! After being turned down by six other clinics for a physical for my visa application, they not only conducted my physical, but also helped me expedite my blood test results to meet the deadline. Highly recommended!

Truly some of the best doctors I have ever had. I have been using them for many years now and even with insurance it is easier and less expensive to see them. There nurses and office staff are great too.

Been my doctors for over 6 years. They treat you like a person, not a dollar. Talk to me on the phone if needed, spend time in the room really listening, and at a great price, no surprise charges. I have referred my family to them whether you have insurance or not, they are the best out there! Now, they are in Spartanburg, Greenville and Columbia!

I began coming here because I didnt have insurance. Almost six years later with insurance, I still continue to go here even though my insurance would cover 100% for a primary doctor. I am certain that I could never find a more understanding, caring, kind, or knowledgeable staff anywhere else. Dr. McCarthy, Dr. Aya-Ay, and the rest of the team are amazing! I am so thankful for all they do!

My husband and I are having ivf done next month so we are looking for a great doctor. I was sad to see that this pace dont accept any insurance. I would have loved to come here as I was reading all of the great reviews.

I was between jobs so I didnt have insurance when I first went here. Fortunately, I didnt have to pay a lot for the visit. In fact, with the services provided, I paid less than when I had health insurance! The doctor was very professional and thorough with his explanations of my exam and pricing. Now employed, I have insurance but I still plan on returning here.

I have been a patient of Dr. Aya-Ay for about five years now. He and his colleagues are thorough, friendly and knowledgeable. Palmetto Proactive is a direct primary care model, meaning they dont accept insurance, in an effort to reduce overhead and keep prices reasonable (office visit is $80), but Ive continued to go here despite having insurance. You never feel rushed, and the staff is always helpful and respectful. I recommend Dr Aya-Ay with the absolute highest of confidence. If you are looking for a primary care provider, check them out.

Stellar medical staff as well as support staff. The doctors take the time to discuss reason for visit as well as review general health history and suggest proactive health measures . Without reservation, I would recommend!

The previous review was not my writing. Someone else was logged into my google+ account. The review Palmetto Proactive deserves is that of outstanding care. Dr. Aya-ay is by far one the best Doctors Ive come across in South Carolina and I am indebted to him for his help. I highly recommend Palmetto Proactive to any individual seeking ANY type of healthcare service. The staff is great, and the wait-time is never more than an hour. I wont be going to any other healthcare facilities for a long time because I feel genuinely cared for there. I am more than satisfied with the care Ive received from them and their staff.

Horrible experience with this office. One tells me to come over and be a walk in, when I get there they tell me they are booked and I can go over to another doctor. Then the staff proceeds to talk about me in the office as they stare at me. I need medical help but Ill do without before I go back to them.
