Front desk was very nice , had to wait awhile but that’s expected at a urgent care. Got back to room and Dr. stated Tested negative for Covid and Flu, which was great , I have a real bad cold which was the reason for the visit in first place. , she didn’t even do any exam, listen to my lungs , check ears nothing, never got closer than than 6 feet , just said she would write me a note to be out of work for next day. Which I didn’t take. Reason for 2 stars is front desk, Doctor: Not impressed in the least , will not be back.

I went to MEDCare for a Covid test end of August. I needed to know ASAP if I was Cov19 positive .... I explained to the Med receptionist that I just began symptoms in the evening (8-10 hrs before). I waited in the lobby 1.5 hrs, finally go back, explained that I just began symptoms, Im swabbed and go back to a room where a Nurse Practitioner (not a Dr.) asks me about my symptoms... and she tells me well Our test is only effective if you have had symptoms for 48hrs HELLO.. I explained twice that I just started feeling sick.. Med Care JUST WANTED THE MONEY for the test, knowing it would be false. Then I find out that they billed my insurance OVER $500 for the test. They charged over $350 for the 4 minutes the Nurse Practitioner told me I would likely receive a False Negative... which I did, I tested Neg. I then drove to Old Sptbg Dodge, sat in line for 20 min in my car, was swapped and got my results the next day for free... I was in fact Cov19 Positive. I only went to MED care for the immediate results.The fact that MEDCare would give me that test KNOWING it would likely be false AND charging me $500+ is an OUTRAGE... They are a Covid Testing scam. I should have gone to CVS and purchased a test.This place is a joke and is one of the reasons health costs are so expensive.

Dr. Simon and team were the best. Every nurse I met was so nice and made sure I was take care of properly. Dr Simon went above and beyond with my care and I will forever be grateful. If you need an urgent care do not use anywhere else but here. If I could make Dr Simon my primary care I would right now as he treats you with respect, compassion and like a human being, not just another number walking through the doors.

My husband is on high blood pressure medication. He was experiencing dizziness, we went to the clinic to have his blood pressure checked. We were refused treatment at the door. They said that they wouldnt be able to see us because he would need an MRI, which they dont have at their clinic. We were referred to another Urgent care across town.My opinion is that this is ridiculous! How can a medical facility refuse to even do the first level of care, which is vital signs. Vital signs would need to be taken before another diagnostic modality would be ordered. This was cold, unprofessional and dangerous. I would not use this facility for any service.

Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Provider was helpful and knowledgeable. Overall a great experience. Would recommend to anyone in the Spartanburg area that needs quick care.

Been here before and was treated nicely and went by really fast. Today on the other hand, I wish I could give zero stars. Came in at 10:30 am, filled out my application and registered, said my appointment would be at 3:57pm. Asked one of the receptionist if that was the time I had to be here, she told me that we would get in earlier, to sit tight and wait for my name to be called. So I’ve been sitting here quietly waiting for my turn, at 12 pm I went up and asked kindly if I still had a long wait since I have to pick up my other kids from school at 2:45, she said I would be out of here by then. So I went and sat down again. At 3:30pm I went up front and asked again about the wait since multiple people that came after me went in and came out before me. It was explained that they had made appointments online. Ok that’s fine, so now it’s 5pm and I go and ask how much longer I had to wait, and they tell me I’m not in the system, because they called me and I wasn’t inside. I never left the building, and they lied saying they called my name multiple times. They told me I shouldn’t have left and that they called and called my name, and why I didn’t come up before now. I had moved from my spot 3 times and it was to come up to the receptionist to ask about the wait. I never left the building and I never heard my name called. So they just decided to remove my name and then called me a liar.

Seemed like they only wanted money, sadly. I asked for a lab test and they gave me a rapid test and didnt even wait a full 15min after swabbing me to give me my results. They then told me I had to pay $30 for the rapid test. Definitely dont recommend coming here.

I went last week to get my son a Covid test. Made an appointment online for 2:48. It was pointless. We had to wait outside in the heat because the place was so packed full of people. We saw plenty of people that came in after us get seen before us. He didn’t get to see the doctor until after 5 o’clock. The lady at the front said that the system skipped his name. I will never go back here again. They are not practicing social distancing or sanitizing the chairs or anything. It was a horrible experience.

Check-in was easy. Wait time was reasonable and diagnosis/care was accurate and explained well to me. Place is always clean. I work in pharmacy and when any customer asks for recommendations, I always refer them to here. Hopefully, I can stay out but if I need to, I would choose this place again.

If you advertise yourself as a walk-In clinic, then you SHOULD NOT be required a appointment. If your policy has changed, then your website needs to be updated considering no one will answer the phone. Also, no where on your website does it say that Covid test stop at 6pm. Drove over 30 minutes to not be able to be seen. Do better!

I was very impressed by one of the receptionists, Serlina Todd, at this MedCare. She exhibited outstanding professionalism, patience, and courteousness towards me during my visit. Please continue being awesome!

We had to bring our granddaughter in over the weekend and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr.Simon! He was so good with her, he explained her condition to us thoroughly. I wish he had his own practice here in Spartanburg. He’d definitely be our first pick. All the staff were great, but Dr. Simon gets a gold star! Thank you for having such a wonderful doctor on staff!!

Billed me for a COVID test that my wife never took here. She never entered the facility as she was sick and stayed in the car while I took her insurance card in. She forgot her ID so we had to leave to go get it and ended up going to Spartanburg Regional for a free test. Went back to get her insurance card and my wife stayed in the car. We asked for the medical report and the test was NEGATIVE. She tested POSITIVE at Regional. It also had notes in the report saying she was not nauseous or fatigued which she was and it was the reason she stayed in the car while I attempted to get her an appointment. Disputed it with them and they would NEVER call me back. They reported it to collections so now its messing up my credit. They are being investigated by Blue Cross Blue Shield now. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

My family waited 3 hours out in the heat because there were no chairs available and then went back up to the desk to give them our copay at our appointment time like we were asked and even filled out our own information to make the process go faster and then at the desk the heavyset man says theyre experiencing computer trouble and yet other people were getting receipts and got seen and its sad because we had a child with us and they claimed they could no longer see us that we would have to come back another day because they had called our name already for a copay what a shame Definitely need more communication and not having patients sitting on the floor and outside This place is nasty and a disgrace. I will not be going back. If I could give no star I would. Dont go here your waisting your day

The save a spot online is a joke. Waited well over90 min past appointment time. If you had a question they just yell at people to sit down and they would call you up. An elderly couple had a hard time w the tablet check in and no staff helped them. When the gentleman started to goto desk to ask a question the guy behind the desk just yelled at him to go sign in on the tablet. Luckily another patient helped. I DO NOT recommend this place.

Once you get seen by Dr. Simon or one of the nurses, the experience is professional and quick. However, prior to entering the back of the facility, the staff upfront are rude and disgruntled.Ive been calling non-stop for 2 hours this morning to see if my COVID results are in. The outgoing massage says within three days you should get the results and now its pushing the fourth day. The results are not on my patient portal either. All I want to know if the results are in yet or the status of them. Why is there a phone number if no one is going to pick up? Ive left voicemails here before and never gotten a call back.I left 2 stars because Dr. Simon is an amazing doctor but the reception staff bogg down his excellence with their unpleasant demeanor and laziness.

Normally this place is great, but after today I wont be back. I went after work to get treated because I wasnt feeling well. I waited in line and watched everyone else get checked in and seated. I get to the counter, tell them my symptoms and was advised since they would do a covid test that I could not be seen today. He said to come back in the morning. I have seen this urgent care packed with people inside and out and havent ever been turned away. They were at half capacity, but couldnt see me.

Complete the registration at the front door, you get a link on your phone to enter your info, you get a text with your hold my place in line time and when you leave its deleted! No signs, only a you have to do it again baby from the front desk! The wait times are over 4 hours AND a big AND! Dont leave, you will have to start over! I was here well before my first appointment time on my first visit. $100.00 out of pocket for a rapid test if you have a job and insurance!

Dr. Simon he was great. He didn’t mind looking at what needed to be looked. I asked him questions and he gave a good feedback on it. Thank you Dr. Simon.. Wish we had more Doctors like him.

I went online to register and save a spot for my kids to get a Covid test. I did not know time really doesn’t mean anything. We waited over an hr. Just to get swabbed. I made the appointments at an specific time because I had another appt. I did advise the Medical assistant or nurse and she was very rude and nonchalant about the situation. It is very rude to be inconsiderate of people’s time. Don’t allow us to hold a spot if it literally doesn’t mean anything. I will never go back to them. I’m very aggravated. Please inform patients coming in of the process or make it clear so we will be aware of what we signed up for.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE WAY MEDCARE URGET CARE WHEN I WENT FOR A VISIT , FROM THE FRONT DESK TO THE DR AND NURSES AND THE TIMLEY ANNET I EAS THERE VERY PROFESSIONAL.

The lady at the front desk said her name was Tracy. Ive been waiting since 9:30 and it is now 1:05pm however when a woman that Tracy knew walked in from the outside she was able to get in and out in 20mins I knew the woman didnt have an apt bc I had justtalked to her outside and she had picked her son up from school. When I called her out on it she was very rude and she doesnt need to be working with the public. She is a discrace.

THE GIRL UP FRONT IS FLIRTING WITH EVERY MAN THAT COMES IN!! DO YOUR JOB!!

Dr. Simon helped my children when they had the flu. He has helped me since then and when in a pinch I come to him as I know he is clean, professional, and highly educated. You dont have to worry after seeing him about a second opinion. Hes the best!

Took my daughter yesterday and ended up leaving without being treated. We waited for over an hour had several people go before me that came in after me. My son and I both have strep and my daughter has the same exact symptoms but the nurse wouldnt even test her for strep without doing a covid test. But couldn’t give me a straight answer as to why. I’m not getting my sick 1 year old and unnecessary test and I was told they couldn’t treat her without a covid test. I’ve been to several other urgent cares and have never had this issue. So disappointing, it should be my choice if I want her tested or not just like any other test

This place was great. Easy to get in and out of and has great hours. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The system for getting patients in and out worked perfectly. Very clean and pretty. I’m so glad a friend told me about this urgent care.

I came here to get my Covid test for travelling back to Canada, I was so stressed out and confused because of all the changing rules for travelling.Kimberly Babb is the lady that was so sweet and helpful, she helped me figure everything out and did not just leave me to do it myself. Everyone behind the desk was so helpful and nice, but Kimberly Babb was the one that went out of her way completely and helped me figure everything out and saved me money as well. Great people in this facility.

I had a great experience considering I was being tested for Covid. I didn’t have an appointment so I knew I would wait but the wait to be tested wasn’t bad considering the amount of people outside. Adrienne at the front was so sweet and helpful. I’m thankful for each staff member working that day to help this process run smoothly.

I went here to get a wellness checkup after speaking to the Health Department who advised me I would be seen. I made an appointment only to be turned away. I tried to get the doctors attention it was a short medium size lady with brown short hair and she completely turned her head and was intentionally trying to not speak to me. As a doctor , nurse or someone who works in the health industry do you not care about the people who comes through your doors ? Maybe she was having a bad day but that was disgusting and disheartening behavior from someone who is suppose to serve the community. The only reason I’m giving this place one star is because of the receptionist who did her best to give me information. Cudos to that lady , as for that doctor or nurse you may want to change careers.

Unaware that walk-in rapid test were no longer available, front desk worker Evelyn K worked a miracle and set an appointment for the same day for myself and my daughter to get receive a rapid test. Evelyn K was amazing! She was very understanding of our situation and her attitude exuded nothing but compassion and grace. I appreciate her and MedCare so much!

We were in and out so quickly. In spite of the crowd the staff members were pleasant and calm. I was very impressed. The doctor was professional yet had a caring tone.

As expected due to covid testing, the facility was pretty full with standing room only and lined up at the door. Im sure the staff could have been very overwhelmed but I wouldnt have known it. Everyone was super friendly and professional. The staff was getting people in and out as quick as they could. From triage to the receptionist, I saw smiles, heard laughter and even a doctor singing. That alone speaks volumes about this facility.

Very fast service. Took family of 4 in for Covid test and was in and out within 20 minutes. Very courteous and polite front staff and the nurse who did the test was quick and gentle with the kiddos. Convenient location with easy access. I would highly recommend this place.

Came for Covid testing with my kids. Saved my spot in line. The four of us were tested within 15 minutes of arrival and results back in 20 minutes. Staff was super friendly and made the kids feel comfortable. Wish this place was closer to our home. After the good reviews we heard about this place we drove 45 minutes to get there. Excellent!

Save your money. They refused to treat me but charged me 100 dollars anyways. Came to urgent care to save money but had to go to the er anyways. So now Im out even more money.

We went for Covid testing. The staff was friendly and efficient. After hearing from several friends that the testing was rough and very uncomfortable, our nurse was gentle and did an excellent job administering the test. After testing we were placed in an exam room to wait for our rapid test results. The whole process took less than an hour! Highly recommend going there!

Possibly put chairs outside, and make it be known loud enough for those that have to sit outside, in the cold, that its time for their covid testing. And dont just pick and choose who you use the loud speaker on. If you know you have patients outside, then maybe...MAYBE, be understanding when they dont hear it the first time because youre yelling from inside the building and we are outside because there is no room. Dont be rude about it.

This was our first time at this facility. My husband and I needed to be tested for Covid. There were a lot of people there but the staff was courteous and gave great directions on the process. We were in and out with our results in less than 45 mins. This was a Sunday morning at 11 am. Other than getting a positive test result I could not say one bad thing and the test results were not their fault 😀

Before I even finished explaining she cut me off and barked at me to sit down. Then gave instructions for afterwards so quickly I couldnt understand her. Kellie Perez NP told me that my 5 year old son had a tumor.4 days later, we found that it was only a balled up piece of paper stuck in his ear. She was not sympathetic, extremely careless and lazy as she did not send a referral but I had to take care of it all myself and just reckless!

The lady Tiara upfront was very helpful. I didnt have my childs policy number and instead of letting me pay full price she gave options of how I could get it. Very nice lady. Would recommend talking to her.

Its good for covid testing but the people are very laid back. I had to wait for a hour to get my results.

I got (Covid) tested pretty quickly even though there were a good amount of other people there, they used the new painless method, and I got my results back in 30 minutes. Registration and check in were also very easy. The only issue was we had to stand in line for our tests inside, with other people who were getting tested (so probably some of them had covid), so the risk of exposure was higher than a drive through test.

They were fast and over accommodating. The staff was so kind and Jamie Bright, NP went out of her way to help me! She made a really bad day a little better with her kindness. 5 star all the way!

I’ve had this test done before and my son has twice. It was traumatic. I came here to get tested a second time and I didn’t feel ANY pain or discomfort at all! They were fast, helpful, and gentle. This is the only place I will go if I have to get tested again.

Had an appointment set for a covid test for 2:20pm. As I arrive at 2:20 it gets delayed to 2:40. It is now 3 and I have no clue when I’m being helped. Staff ignore people when they question how much longer we’re gonna be here

I have already paid the “remaining balance” they charged me for my Covid test, yet I keep receiving courtesy text messages from them stating my balance is due. I’ve already called the number they sent me via text and I’ve also emailed the representative a copy of my receipt showing that I paid, I was told that it would be handled. I’ve done everything I need to do on my end, what more do I need to do? Really annoyed.

OUTSTANDING!!!!! from the receptionist, to the vitals nurse, to the doctor that saw me. Everyone was professional and very pleasant. This visit has to be one of my best experiences with health care professionals. Even when I left, the doctor walk me to the front door, opened it, and helped me out. That was a first for me. Thanks to this great team of professionals.

After waiting in a “virtual waiting room” for an hour an a half at another urgent care without being seen, I decided to walk in at MedCare Spartanburg for rapid Covid testing. It was simple, safe, and sanitary, and I was in and out in about 30 minutes even though they had a crowd of patients. Great job, guys. I appreciate your hard work!

I had to come to get tested for COVID. The sign in process is set up very well and operates efficiently and effectively. While I waited I was outside for a while and then I was able to wait in the lobby. They were great about coming outside and calling names to make sure everyone could hear their name called. The staff were friendly and efficient. Thank you to the staff at MEDcare Spartanburg for doing such important work, especially during these trying times.

I have been taking my sons here to get physicals over 3 years now and this particular day was awful the wait was long and when we finally get in the back you have a house full of nurses sitting around look like the are having a mini party singing songs just sitting around laughing and talking when y’all have a house full of people and not only that I never knew a physical takes this long about 2 hours then I pay 35 dollars each visit which is fine every time but the waiting 2 hours while they are jamming and partying for a physical I could have just went to our family doctor smh will not be visiting again! Not only that they are not even sanitizing like they should either...

Very friendly. Very professional. Very efficient! Everything was great except having my brain probed with a q-tip (COVID Test). I guess you could say they have an impressive way of inflicting necessary pain.

$200 for a rapid covid test for a local healthcare worker with no health insurance. Outrageous, opportunistic gouging, completely unjustifiable and morally bankrupt. I will be reporting this facility to the state board.

Had an appointment to get a covid test, no curbside testing even if you have symptoms, no place to park, no one to answer phone and people inside are packed like sardines. No way I’m setting foot in this place. If I don’t have covid now I would definitely get it setting foot in this cesspool.

I just had one of the most unprofessional experiences of my life at MEDcare in Spartanburg. We made an appointment online for my daughter who has been experiencing Covid like symptoms over the last couple of days. A little backstory, one of my other daughters tested positive on December 19th. We took my entire family to be tested the next day and in fact my wife and I also tested positive for Covid-19. Canceling all of our plans including all festivities for Christmas and New years we quarantined as instructed. Here we are on day 9 of quarantine and my daughter has been running a fever for two days so we did what any other parent would do and thats take your child to the doctor.Upon arrival there was at least 50 people in the waiting area, standing all around the walls, lined up out of the entrance, and even on down the sidewalks. My first thought was If she doesnt have Covid she will now... We waited patiently in line and we got checked in at the counter. I politely asked the lady behind the counter would my daughter be able to receive the rapid test as we were coming to the end of our quarantine and did not want to take my daughter around anyone if indeed she has Covid. Immediately, she looks up at me and tells me that I needed to leave the building, confused I asked her why. She said because you have Covid and you cant be in the building. I proceeded to try and explain that we had been quarantined at home and only came out of the house so that we could get my daughter checked out as she had been running a fever and crying because she felt so bad. She loudly said either you can leave the building or I will get the doctor to make you leave the building. So Im upset at this point, I said that doesnt make any sense this is a Covid clinic, Im sure half of the people in this waiting room has Covid. Again, very loudly she says well you need to get someone else to bring her. Then I said, What If I was a single parent and didnt have anyone else to bring my child to the doctor and the second lady behind the counter says We dont make the rules, we just enforce them, you will need to get someone else to bring her... (It should have stopped here, BUT IT DIDNT)I turned to walk away and the first lady who checked me in yells DO YOU WANT TO KILL PEOPLE !!! Really??? So I walked back to the counter and I said No I dont want to kill people which is why I am wearing my mask and trying to get my daughter tested for Covid! Completely embarrassed and being stared at by the entire waiting room full of people I grabbed my daughters hand and we walked out!I Completely understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic. I completely understand that there are rules and guidelines to follow as my wife just left her job with DHEC of three years so that we could do ministry full time, I understand at why they wouldnt want me sitting in the waiting room, I would of been happy to wait in my car, I understand that people are dying from this deadly disease every single day as we have had one of our very own family members die from Covid-19. I know all to well the severity of this virus after witnessing MANY members of family and friends suffer with this horrible virus. As a father who is simply trying to get his daughter tested for Covid and seen by a medical professional the LAST THING that someone should have to hear is DO YOU WANT TO KILL PEOPLEThis lady was not only unprofessional, she had a very bad attitude and should NOT be working the front desk of a medical clinic. In a season of life when people are struggling medically more than ever before we need people working on the frontlines who actually care about their job and not people who treat others like they are beneath them.Sincerely, a concerned father who will NEVER take my child to MEDcare ever again!

You would think someone working In The medical field would have common courteously. I went in on 1/4/2021. The heavyset girl at the front desk was VERY RUDE!

SEVERAL of the employees up front were not wearing masks. This is a COVID testing site. The person who actually swabbed my nose was wearing a mask, but several employees were not behind plexiglass or wearing a face covering. We are in the middle of a global pandemic. I am so unlikely to come back for a COVID test that I am actively telling people to avoid this as a testing site. Needs better management and rules enforced among employees.

As someone in the medical field, I was extremely disappointed by the service here. When asked if my covid test would be covered by my insurance, the receptionist replied I dont know and could not provide me with anymore information. My partner also went in for a covid test + physician evaluation and they mixed up his test results with another persons. They also charged him for 2 flu swabs when it should have been covered as it was part of the differential diagnosis. When going for a recheck covid test, for which I made an appointment for, I was told there were no more rapid tests as of two days ago...They couldnt even call or send an email to cancel my appointment. The receptionist was rude about it and clearly didnt care that I was frustrated. I understand that these are difficult and busy times for our health care workers, but we need to continue to provide quality healthcare to our patients.

This facility is extremely disorganized and unsafe!!!! This facility makes patients do an online registration form which then gives you an appointment time. When you show up for that appointment time given you will be rudely greeted with “we do not do appointments your suppose to wait”..apparently the appointment time their system provides is useless, which is mind bottling. So now your force to wait in overly crowded waiting area possibly contract COVID-19 because this facility fails to use system that makes sense. ..... also the front desk employees do not know how to keep their mask on its frustrating.

Went here because of rapid COVID tests. The staff are not wearing masks or taking precautions like they are supposed to. I would not recommend going here for a test if you dont want to catch COVID in the process.

Tiara at the front desk was so kind and helpful after a very difficult day. Not only did she give wonderful service, but did so with kindness and patience.

Giving it one star just because “0 stars” isn’t an optionEverything was “ok” until I got the forms to fill out at the beginning. Just because of my name or last name or whatever it was they handed me a form in Spanish which I consider highly disrespectful and discriminating.... then after almost 3 hours of waiting and multiple times of asking what was going on and other people that had been there for maybe 30 minutes the staff was extremely rude (except for two people at the front desk). And even then I had to wait even longer than every one else to get my results back..... I paid 200 dollars for a terrible service and when I got the results I asked to speak to the person in charge and was told that there wasn’t anyone that I could speak with.... to reiterate; I am highly disappointed and for lack of better words disgusted with the service and staff at this facility. With the exception of like I said; one or maybe two people and that’s pushing it....... I will not recommend anyone to visit this facility, there are plenty more options out there.

Have used MEDcare three times for Covid testing and documentation. Excellent staff and assistance. Hats off to Angela for her help in documentation for my International trip.

Very pleased and impressed with the staff of MEDcare Urgent Care of Spartanburg. Jennifer, Cierra and Bailey were very efficient in getting a large amount of people tested in a short period of time. Adrianna was helpful in helping to arrange billing for the tests. Dr. Simon took the time to speak with us and share information.

Great visit! Tiara checked me in quickly, and with a smile. Carmen was very professional and made my x-ray quick and as painless as possible. Dr. Simon, was quick and explained the healing process very well.

This place is only for covid patients! Don’t go & sit & wait to be seen for 45 minutes before someone tells you this. The staff is not in the same page. Would not recommend this place at all.

Always a good experience when we come here. My son and I have been treated on a few occasions and the staff are always kind and considerate. Id recommend to anyone.

Very efficient team in and out in less than 30 minutes

The African American MAN that’s the doctor is VERY RUDE & is always trying to send me home with home remedies to “help” one time he told me to put STOOL SOFTENERS in my ear to unblock it and it made it worse. Was very rude today and sent me home with barley any information. Every time I go there it has been a bad experience but today did it and I’m never going back. What a great way to treat a pregnant lady!👎🏼👎🏼

I went without an appt. today, Monday, Nov. 16th) and from the time they opened the doors until I received my results; it was one of the hardest working and most professional medical facilities I have ever been at in my lifetime.Courteous from door, to reception, to testing, and then results--VERY PROFESSIONAL!My test was due to minor symptoms and so I would not go see my 87 year old mother while infected this week.I am so blessed and thankful for each person at MedCare Urgent Care.
