Products are good, but there’s a very “bro” attitude to the place. The “manager” or lead or whatever, was very rude and dismissive. Dude couldn’t even be bothered to use his words when asked a question, Just pointed dismissively towards other workers, like he just couldn’t even be bothered, very unfriendly off putting dude, as if this was the only weed shop around, not sure I’ll be spending my cash here again. I almost and probably should of walked out at that point, but I was already there, and too tired after a long day of work to deal with rude uppity bud tenders.

Trent made sure we got the best goods and stayed with our budget. There is always a sale going on. Friendly and professional environment They even have a original Henry hanging on display.

I love this place, and wave to the door guy daily as I make my rounds. Very knowledgeable staff, all of them- even the newer guy. This was my first ever dispensary, and they welcomed me like family.I’d recommend it, especially if you’re a bit new to the whole thing. Come outside of peak hours, ask a question, grab a zine.Can’t recommend them enough

Before arriving to Seattle many of my family and friends who have visited had a few suggestions on dispensaries to check out but American Mary was not listed. I actually found the establishment by driving by and being curious. My friends and I went in and immediately was assisted, the first gentle who helped didn’t know too much about the different strains and THC levels as well as the different uses for each. Branson seemed like he knew what he was talking about and did not disappoint me when i went to him with my needs and questions. Great Prices & an amazing selection on products it’s a hidden Gem and honestly needs to be better promoted! I highly recommend this establishment and Branson who is from my hometown NYC & is very familiar with all your needs!

Pretty disappointing customer service. The staff member working now just took a couple products off the shelf and put them on the counter when we asked about edibles. We can’t touch them to see ingredients or doseage and the staff member was annoyed when I asked to rotate one package so I could try to read it. No explanation or product details were offered. The selection was good, but nothing that I haven’t seen at other shops. I wouldn’t come back here.

American Mary in Wallingford always has great customer service and very socia le employees. I specifically liked my experience on the morning of 10/03/2020. There was an employee there by the name of Branson, and he was really helpful in helping me find a great deal, and I liked his attitude.

I dont drive so I have to walk a little further to get to American Mary. I pass other shops along the way, but American Mary has the perfect product every time at a price I can afford. The friendly, knowledgeable staff know their products and always have great suggestions. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Edit: Ive previously sent multiple negative reviews without any response, even though they ask for an email. Id suggest the management actually read the surveys that they send to customers. They have one horrible worker who has a terrible attitude and is quite unprofessional. I asked for one type and she swapped it for a more expensive one. Was offered a receipt and didnt receive one. There are several other stores in the area that offer superior products and professional staff members.

They always have what you need. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and dont always steer customers to the high price-point products, which is a huge turn-off by their competitors. Erin and Wade always offer stellar input and recommendations.

Don’t waste your time and money. I’ve never had a good experience here. My most recent experience was after I started working at a dispensary myself, one with five locations in Seattle alone, so we know what we’re doing. I would never treat a guest how I was treated in this shop! I went in, no one greeted me or acknowledged my presence. I stood there not knowing if they were going to check my ID or what. I finally had to ask one of the two staff if I could look around. She didn’t answer, just asked to check my ID. When she was finished helping the guest she was with, she ignored me and helped the next person. I was finally helped by the manager, who was buying product from vendors while on the floor before helping me. There were no prices posted anywhere, he barely knew what he was talking about and he didn’t offer me a bag or a receipt, went right on to the next guest. Washington state law requires dispensaries to provide a proof of purchase (receipt) and a bag to conceal the product. The guest does not have to take the receipt, but legally, it has to be offered and the product has to be concealed when leaving the store.

Super cool staff, always good product. Theres a reason why this is my #1 pot shop of choice. 🙂

Came yesterday for the first time to purchase some gummy edibles, and was welcomed by a pretty friendly guy in heelies lol. He showed me the selection of edibles and price checked them all for me. It was quick, efficient. I got a $27 bag of strawberry candies, tipped $2 and left. As soon as I got to the car 10 seconds later, I realized they were hard candies, which I couldnt see from 3 feet away from the counter, and the guy hadnt told me this. Since I wanted to divide up the gummies for portioning, I went right back and asked if I could exchange the unopened bag for gummies. He quickly said no, as theres a pandemic. I understood this, so I got another bag of edibles, $28. As he was ringing me up, he said I should have received a text giving me $2 off. I went and grabbed my phone from the car but no text ever came. By the time he counted my money, he just said, oh well, and never gave me the discount. Still havent received the text. Also, I realized afterward that I had given him $29 for the second bag and though he counted twice, he never gave me any change. Wont be coming back here again.

The staff is great about product knowledge guiding me to the suppliers that has what I’m looking in the moment. Always happy to see me and after I leave there is good libations to be had.

I shop at American Mary about once a week or more... It is absolutely the best shop in this part of town! They make you feel right at home! They tell you whats the best, and whats alright... My Neighborhood Pot Shop. I love this shop. Over time theyve gotten to know me and I get fantastic recommendations every time. They carry a wide range of products and the budtenders are knowledgeable and helpful.

Had a very rude salesman convince me to take my business elsewhere. I had been coming here the past three years as there isnt much else in the U-district. Every other time Ive been the people have been friendly. I will just assume this person was having a bad day, but I still wont be returning. It feels particularly hurtful when workers of a cannabis shop give off hostile vibes.

Excellent service everytime I go I there. Great deals, always have my favorites readily available, but on the rare occasions they dont, staff are ready with excellent suggestions for replacement. If other businesses ran with their customer service attitude, they wouldnt have as many issues. And Im talking about businesses outside of the cannabis realm!!

I have been shopping at this location for a few months now, with mixed results. Prices are average, products are good but can be had anywhere else. Good customer service is hit-or-miss depending on who you talk to. A few employees give me that pusher or hustler vibe, and said employees are very transparent when being passive-aggressive. It goes without saying that today will be the last time I enter the store.

Ive been frequenting this store now for several months and have never been disappointed by the service. The staff is always very friendly and very helpful in selecting the correct bud for me, despite my snootiness from working in the industry. On top of all this, multiple times now the budtenders (Julia especially) have been willing to meet me half way or notify me of deals going on when I am shy a few dollars (or several). Hands down, two thumbs up, my favorite providers and I always recommend going through American Mary after gushing about deals on quality smoke and rolling papers. Went in after I had some Dicks Burgers and thankfully it had AC cause it was super hot out. Nice set up and cool glass to look at while I waited to pick out my stuff. I picked out a gram of Cinex and it was pretty good, had nice flavor and decent in strength. For a recreational store I would recommend it.

Rude policy; Im 52 YO, obviously not under age. They carded me, at which time he pointed out my license was expired by 3weeks, and promptly kicked me out of the store. I understand he was just doing his job, but this is over the top, rude policy. Was there for medicinal stress relief purposes, on my way to a memorial for family member. Thanks for the empathy and warmth.

What can be said about American Mary , upon entering I was greeted by a friendly, albeit alert and Im sure ever vigilant security type who was a breath of fresh air compared to the usual bouncer/rent a pig guy whom I have encountered at lesser establishments. The friendly gentleman who completed my transaction, was helpful and quick to recommend a product most suited to my particular needs. Then, when funds fell a little short, he quickly gave me the fabled homey hook-up cause I just had to try this stain, it was (and is) just that good. In closing, I feel very confident in giving my semi anonymous recommendation to you, the faceless masses. Two thumbs way up.,

They cant accept vertical IDs anymore, so if you are 21 but your drivers license is still vertical instead of horizontal, make sure you update your license or bring another form of ID. They offer a 15% discount to people who are turned away for their vertical ID and come back with their new horizontal ID. I brought my passport instead but they still honored the 15% discount. Great products and selection, great customer service.

They have lots of great products and the location is the most convenient thing ever. I shop there about once a week and they always have exactly what Im looking for. Plus I share a birthday with the guy who works there, and that Corgi is just the biggest sweetheart, Ive gotta find out its name the next time I go.

I went to the store but new state policy requires a horizontal ID. Not only did they help me get the new ID, but gave me a discount when I returned. Their convenient location and superior service is much appreciated.

What Huge disappointment. My first time buying recreational legal weed, I asked for the best sativa and for convenience bought a pre rolled joint. The lady sold me a$10 joint of shwag. Some low grade garbage, and coming from Cali being able to get the best with my medical card there, this was so upsetting. Do not buy their pre rolled joints these guys are scammers!!!!

Store says they close at 11 at 10 o’clock and the doors are closed but you can smell people inside smoking weed usually my experience at this place is disappointing anyway but so are most Washington dispensaries

I enjoyed my time in the shop, but do regret my purchase somewhat. I grabbed some dutch treat that ended up being really harsh on the throat. I was assured it was flushed well, but maybe Ive just been spoiled by smoking more organic strains recently & can now tell the difference almost immediately. If the flower burns black--its bad sign. But Im not dismissing this place just yet. I shall return & try a different strain from a different grower and hopefully have more pleasant smoking experience.

This place is a joke. Crap weed. Unfriendly attendants. Wouldnt accept legal form of id. By way of temporary licence issued by the state. The only reason I every went here is its close to my house. I will never go back again, hash tag has way better weed and nicer staff that know what legal forms of id they must accept.

I walked a good 20 minutes to get here & when I showed them my ID they literally said “our employer thinks we might misread vertical ID’s. Basically he doesn’t trust us to do our jobs”. My advice to the company would be to hire employees that you can trust and that can read. Just my opinion though.

Low key, this is prolly the best rec shop in seattle. Ive bought from all of the more popular ones (and local delivery folks) and this place beats them out. Frankly, weed is weed is weed, but theres something about having a solid neighborhood shop free of crowds, lines, and the like. Nice, chill environment and staff.

Thier is a eroupean american thats a clerk. He kept making sure that I havent been served. I do have a tribal i.d. that he deems isnt good enough. To top it all off both times. He tried his hardest to make me look like a fool. His ass needs to be fired immediately. I was a loyal customer.

Theyre closed down for lunch.. They open 9am work for 4 hrs then shutdown the entire shop so they can take an hour lunchbreak. Incredibly dumb and mismanaged not coming back. Hire another person.. duh!
