I went to this vein treatment center because I have several broken capillary veins on my legs.The first thing that they did was check the veins in my legs. Two of my veins were not working properly. After getting the okay from my insurance company, Dr Amanda skillfully fixed them. Then she performed some complimentary work on my ugliest capillaries. She is quick, patient and she knows what she is doing. I am extremely happy with the results. The staff is great, too. For vein or capillary problems, Dr Amanda and her staff are the only place to go! Well earned 5 stars!

I knew my ankles had been puffy and discolored for some time, but didnt think their was any solution... when I took off my socks it left a deep impression in the skin for hours... I hadnt reached the point of pain or lesions but my skin was sensitive and brittle, any impact causing me agony... after Dr. Koos procedures, I immediately saw improvements... Im so glad I underwent ablation treatment... the elasticity of my skin has improved as has the circulation... Im certain if i wore the compression stockings, the way Ive been instructed to. Id be in evening better shape than I am in now... thank you, Dr. Koo!

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Koo and the staff at the Spider and Varicose Vein Treatment Center. They took care of contacting my insurance and got the procedure authorized. From the first visit, and Ultrasound, to the actual procedure and last appointment Dr Koo explained exactly what was going on internally. Following that she made recommendations for procedures. I was very satisfied with the Spider & Varicose Vein Treatment Center. I had Reflux Disease in both legs and they took care of the problem and were very caring & gentle with the treatment for it. This was about a year ago.Had my second follow-up today and it was good. The Vein Treatment Clinic was highly recommended to me and I can see why. My legs have always been tired and swollen at the end of the day. Dr Billy, Dr Koo and their team provided me exceptional patient care to alleviate this problem. I was given very clear explanations of how vein treatment would benefit the overall comfort of my legs and my general well-being. The series of treatments are very thorough and only take approximately 30min. The Vein Treatment Clinic has excellent follow-up and my swelling was appreciably reduced right away. I realize that the entire success of my treatments will take a while, but, so far, I award Dr Billy and his staff a blue ribbon for their high level of professional care, the relief of my leg aches and swelling, combined with the teams simple approach to education in reference to the anatomy of my lower extremities. Dr. Billy and his staff are wonderful and I have always felt comfortable at my appointments. Dr. Billy explains everything he does as he is doing it, and is very thorough. I had a very difficult set of veins,l that felt like ropes, on the outside, that were twisting in many different directions, and amazingly he was able to get through to each one, which was no easy task as I could see myself on the screen. After taking care of the veins inside my legs that were not flowing properly, and causing them to be tired and achy, and the horrible looking ones that protruded from my legs in several areas, I look and feel so much better! I cant thank him and his staff enough for the excellent care!

Dr.s Koo, Schoenfeld and the staff at the Vein Treatment Center (San Diego location) have done a stellar job at targeting and treating the multiple varicose veins in both of my legs. Due to the number of these veins in my legs, these treatments spanned the course of about a year but their staff and my health insurance company have been on the same page with my treatment plan. The muscle spasms in my (left) leg have subsided since the procedures have been completed. They have been meticulous in the vein closure procedures and the subsequent follow up visits. The procedures have essentially been painless which is a huge plus :) For those seeking treatment options for varicose / spider veins, Vein Treatment Clinic should be seriously considered.

I came to the spider and varicose vein treatment center to have my varicose and spider veins assessed. Dr. Billy and his staff completed ultrasounds the first visit and explained what was necessary for my treatment plan. My treatment was mostly covered by my insurance other than my out of pocket co-pay. Dr. Billy and his staff were friendly, personable and caring. The appointments were easy to make and I never waited more than a couple of minutes once I arrived for an appointment. I did have several treatments on both upper and lower legs. I am now finished with my treatments and not only do my legs look amazing but they feel much better. I used to have aching and that is now gone. I would highly recommend Dr. Billy. I appreciate his expertise and an glad I trusted him with my treatment.

I recently received treatments with Dr. Billy. I was initially a little nervous about the treatments but Dr. Billy and the medical assistants reassured me by answering all my questions and explaining the treatments in detail.The treatments themselves were actually pretty quick and painless. They do use topical lidocaine and liquid lidocaine; and they are not stingy with it so if you need more, theyll give you more. I did feel some pressure as the catheter goes into the vein, but that is to be expected.Dr. Billy has a great bedside manner and is very easy to talk to. I really appreciate how he follows up after every treatment, the same day, to make sure youre feeling okay. That is something I have never experienced with any doctor before.Ill be sending my family and friends to Dr. Billy. I highly recommend him and his team.By the way, the insurance covers these treatments.

I recently went to get my veins treated and let me just say that the employees and Dr.billy were amazing he did both of my procedures and I have been feeling great after my swelling went away I was happy with the outcome. I would truly recommend for anyone that’s looking into getting their veins treated to go and pay them a visit. The staff there were awesome and are on top of everything any questions or concerns you have they gladly answer them.

I don’t typically give out reviews, but I’ve had such a great experience with Dr.Koo and the staff at VIP that I wanted to share. I’ve had chronic restless leg, nightly soreness, and ugly purple spider veins that emerged/stayed after each pregnancy (3 total). Dr. Koo and her team took a detailed ultrasound of my veins (ultrasound nurse took time to explain what I was seeing on the screen the whole time; so nice!), and found that I had venous reflux disease in both of my legs. So far, i’ve had the ‘ClosureFast’ procedure, Varithena, and some beginning cosmetic on the spider veins. All of the procedures were quicker than expected and not painful (Dr.Koo is a master at numbing all treatment areas). A day after the first procedure, I already felt some relief at night from the usual restless leg/soreness. Three more procedures later, and I have NO soreness at night at all; first time in 10 years! Very thankful for VIP and highly recommend. Practice follows very thorough Covid safety measures (one patient per appointment time in office), making my checkin ins and appointments very stress free.

As a medical doctor myself I can be very critical of who I entrust my family’s health with. When my mom first discussed with me her desire to get her legs treated whose appearance I could tell was very bothersome to her I spend a lot of time doing my research not only in clinics but the latest research in the field. Top notch vein treatment clinic. Brought my elderly mother in because her legs had been aching for years, she was having so much trouble even walking. I had a great experience @ the LaJolla Vein Center .I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Billy… I was a very high maintenance patient, I’m an operating room nurse so I had millions of questions… Which He answered everyone, in a very kind and understanding way… The whole entire office was very professional… They worked with me on scheduling .. Because , I was coming from out of the area ..I had to change my appointment several times ,and they were always flexible and very accommodating.They were strict with the Covid policies… I felt very safe and well taken care of.I’m truly sorry that I don’t remember everyone’s names. Vivian did several of my ultrasounds and she was the sweetest , kindest & a talented ultrasound tech!!! I think Erin did one as well . Hands-down I would highly recommend this facility .I’m very happy with my results ,I need to go back for a little bit of a touchup as soon as my schedule will allow it.I felt like Dr. Billy was very professional, really understood the procedure, was very patient to ensure that I was comfortable the whole entire time. I have long suffered from the effects of the advanced stages of varicose veins. I finally went to The Spider and Varicose Vein Clinic for assistance. Dr. Billy and team were amazing. After an ultrasound, consultation and working with my insurance, we started my Saturday morning treatments.Expectations were set, met and exceeded.I especially appreciated Dr. Billy checking on me after each treatment! I highly recommend the Spider and Varicose Vein Treatment Center. I was treated for a severe case of varicose veins and spider veins by Doctor Billy. He went above and beyond my expectations, I am truly pleased with the results. The procedure was quick and not invasive at all. I was admittedly nervous when I first visited the clinic, but I was quickly put at ease by Dr. Billys thorough explanation of the procedures and what to expect afterwards. My legs were embarrassing! I didnt wear shorts and hid them whenever possible. I had been wanting to get my veins treated for many years, and I finally took the leap! After interviewing the top 4 vein specialists in San Diego County I ran across Dr. Billy Shoenfeld and Dr. Carly Guthrie TOP VEIN DOCTORS with national recognition in their field. Both are Harvard graduates with years of experience. After meeting with them I looked no further for help with painful legs. They were top notch from the moment I met them to the time all procedures were completed. Great results, competent, skilled, compassionate physicians and definitely leaders in their specialty.

I had treatment for varicose veins on both of my legs. Dr. Billy and Dr. Carly were always friendly from the first appointment trough the final session. The receptionist lady was also very kind. The doctors explained me about my vein conditions and the treatment in detail at every session, which was very easy to understand. They also informed me of insurance-related things in very easy ways. Before the treatment, they promised me each session is very short and does not disturb my work, and that was truth! Of course, the treatment was so effective that my big varicose veins have vanished after several sessions. I really appreciate their attitude, skills and everything!

I had the best treatment and care in this clinic. The staff are very friendly and warm. They are always on time which makes it easier to come back for follow ups. My legs feel lighter and not as fatigued, even after leg day at the gym.
