The staff was very nice and even laughing with me. Minus the lady in the lobby taking my vitals, she was rushing me a bit and that made me nervous and confused. But the real issue was how the emergency rooms looked Once you got to the back. It looks like the place isn’t full finished. The walls look plain and bare and unfinished, the rooms feel the same. I felt I was in a building that was under construction. Not a professional medical facility. When I looked out my room Down the halls it was so empty I felt alone and couldn’t see any staff stations etc.

As the caregiver for my partner with mobility issues Im disappointed at not being allowed to accompany him into the ER to assist him and communicate with the staff treating him. Were both fully vaccinated, with proof, and follow all guidelines regarding covid mitigation. On a side note, parking is so terrible here—narrow spaces filled with monster trucks and SUVs and the primo spots reserved. I once had the opportunity to take a friend to the Kaiser ER in Kearny Mesa where the parking is absolutely free and convenient for patients and families.

My er nurse Melody was amazing. I am really phobic of hypodermic needles. She stayed and kept me calm and distracted. My er doc had great bedside manner as well. Couldnt be happier with the care I always get at sharp

I went into emergency last night and I left before I even. Saw a doctor the staff was not very nice, made me feel conformable, kept asking about my Medicare and doctor, telling me to stay on top of it. No one seem to really care about the reason I was really there more about my Medicare. Thanks guys I hope the bump on my head I went in for isn’t cancer, more important is my Medicare.

I had a fantastic experience at Sharp Memorial when I had to go to the ER. Would not hesitate to go again if needed. The staff were very efficient and moved quickly to get me in.

By far the best ER we’ve ever been to. We showed up in the middle of the night and we were seen immediately. All the staff, from the nurses, lab techs, and ER doctor were so helpful, friendly, and caring. I felt that they were giving my husband very thorough care. When they decided to admit him to the hospital for longer term care there was no wait whatsoever.

By far the best ER experience I’ve ever had!! Every person was super personable and attentive. I had a multitude of tests and x-rays done very efficiently and felt the doctor spent a good amount of time listening and explaining my diagnosis (pneumonia).

Went to ER in extreme abdominal pain and nausea. Dr. Was very nice but staff somewhat unfriendly. The pain was so intense that they gave me a morphine shot shortly before discharging me with a kidney stone diagnosis. I was very surprised that no one offered to wheel or walk me out after being given such a strong pain killer. I staggered out and no one checked to see if I actually had a ride! Shocked! Also after vomiting no one offered me some water or a towelette to clean up my face. And I had insurance! 🤨

I had to have my appendix removed a few weeks ago, and the care was excellent. All of the nurses and doctors were very informative, and did everything possible to make me feel better. All of them had really great attitudes also, even though their job has to be exhausting, and sometimes frustrating.

Went to ER here on vacation bc my wife twisted her ankle and thought her foot might have been broken. Staying in Rancho Santa Fe. Looked at google reviews to pick an ER and this looked the best. Worth the 30 min drive. Super efficient and friendly service. Arrival to departure was 90 minutes. Check in 3 min. Saw a triage nurse within 10 min of arrival. Brought to room and doctor arrived shortly thereafter. X-ray, readout, arrival of crutches, boot all quick. Great staff - doctor, nurse and everyone else. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Horrible ER nurse interaction ever experienced. Nurse jane, the worst attitude told me why I was even here and she stepped outside I overheard her say I had an attitude, how unprofessional to say that to someone who is in pain and I just bursted out crying in pain too. First time Ive ever experience something like this. So unprofessional.

This is the greatest hospital ive ever been too. Not only has the staff been amazing, attentive, and quick to act on my emergency. The office is helping me with my bills because my insurance company didnt cover me. They have bent over backwards for me and everyone ive interacted with has been just fantastic. The rooms are huge and plush, visitors are allowed 24/7 and they go the extra mile to make my guests feel comfortable. This is the barometer by which i will judge all hospital experiences in the future. And if i ever have an emergency in the future i will be coming here if i can.

This hospital in my opinion is the 3rd best hospital following Scripps lajolla and kieser permenente. Those are hard acts to follow and sharp holds its own. I unfortunately have had to come to this hospital to many times to count and they always take really good care of me. Today I was in and out with a diagnosis and 6 perscriptions in an hour. Thank you to all the staff for being awesome

I had to take my son to the emergency room for continued treatment after original treatment at urgent care in Sorrento Mesa. He was having extreme stomach pain and was nauseous. The check in nurse was rude, she ignored the paperwork that we were give by urgent care. Once we were taken to a room this nurse just followed suit. Needless to say the service at Sharp by the nursing staff is totally UNACCEPTABLE.We go the Sharp because of insurance coverage only. Their customer service SUCKS

I went in for severe wisdom tooth pain because I was unable to see my dentist due to it because a holiday. Repeatedly told the staff about my pain and discomfort during my visit and it was never addressed, nor were many of my concerns. I went to the ER because I thought they would help manage my pain there, instead I sat there in pain for three hours and still left in pain.

Every step of the way I’ve been treated very well. Some more personable than others but my caregivers here as an inpatient are outstanding. Nurses, Nurse Assistants on all shifts were attentive and did more than I expected- with the exception of one Nurse Assistant in the middle of the night and I sensed that he wanted to get it done and split. But really, that wasn’t an aberration. And the Doctors- the admitting Dr Yang was thorough and a delight to talk with. Then my next Dr, Dr. Greenblatt was thorough as well and spent quite a bit of time with me and with my questions and showed knowledge and caring.I went to the Emergency Department, intake personnel were fine and efficient but not charismatic at all. The phlebotomist was great, the ED staff were great- from the guy who transports you to the Nurses and Doctors - all good.Didn’t talk long to her my room on ward. All staff were welcoming beyond my expectations. So if anyone gives a bad rating- they didn’t come across those that I encountered.
