Waiting on my pops. Still waiting to see the doctor. We are 6 hours in so far and they say a couple more hours. Took 2 hours just to get to the point to check in and that whole time they had him wait outside in 95 degree weather. I wonder how many people die because they give up and go home..

Never seen such terrible treatment of a 92 year old woman in my life. My grandmother was told to come here for her anxiety rather than make an appointment and they forced her to stay over night for monitoring because her nutrients were low. Well yeah, she had cancer. The nurses ignored her, did test incorrectly, and were so loud talking to each other a nurse had to scream at her coworkers to shut up so she could hear my grandmother. They were very passive aggressive. Then they forgot about her medications for HOURS after they were prescribed and didnt feed her at all. No wonder her blood tests were getting worse! You didnt feed her you monsters. I hope every nurse here is fired and never works again. None of you deserve to care for people. Same with the security for DRAGGING me away from my confused 92 year old grandmother for no other reason than to write my name down. I DONT HAVE THE TIME TO DO THAT WHEN MY GRANDMOTHER CANT BE LEFT ALONE OR WALK FAR. To say I am furious at this place and the disgusting treatment of the unprofessional Kaiser staff in an understatement. My grandmother finally passed away recently. Im glad she refused to ever come back here and died in peace away from these monstrously horrible nurses.

I can’t fault the ER, I was there last night and this morning with appendicitis, and I am so impressed with the team there. We were triaged quickly and although we had to wait an hour before a bed was available, once we were in and settled, the team were so kind and caring. Thank you, all, for making an incredibly painful experience as comfortable as you possibly could and for being so attentive:Martín who got me settledJoshua who was my bedside nurse for most of the night. When he realised I was cold he went and got me a warm blanket from...I don’t know, a blanket oven? But it was amazing and did the trick! He also got me sorted with all the pain meds, did my blood tests, IV and antibiotics.I had another bedside nurse whose name I didn’t catch but who was just as awesome, sorting my pain meds and joking about the IV alarm being my wake up alarm because it went off in the middle of the nightDr Onishi who diagnosed my appendicitis as gently as he could whilst still having to poke about my belly enough to figure it out. He was great - explaining how my abdominal exam was conducted and what he was looking for.Jennifer who did the check in and admissionFlo who took me to CT and backThe CT team - sorry I didn’t catch your names! The lovely lady who took me up to pre-op, I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name either!Stephanie and Gloria in pre-op, getting me comfortable and sorting my personal belongings so they were ready for me when I came back out.Tita, Dr Choi, Justin and Kristine on the anaesthesiology team. They all joked about it being a spa like experience with massages and options for nail polish, putting me at ease before explaining the anaesthesiology process clearly.Dr Farinholt who performed my surgery and explained the procedure and potential after effectsAnd finally the very lovely Barb who did my post op care - I couldn’t have asked for a better person to wake up to! She helped me get sorted, called my husband to let him know I was done, explained all my meds, and then took me all the way down to the car so I could head home.I’m so grateful to each and every one of you for being so kind and taking such good care of me! You rock!!

I had to take my mother to the ER here. Every nurse I dealt with was amazing, kind and patient. Melissa (charge nurse), Matt (i think he was a team leader) and Damien (my moms bedside nurse) were all exceptionally kind and helpful. And wanted to thank them all for taking care of my mom. They made a very unpleasant day a little better. And her MD Dr. Ian, I think his last name was Chau had excellent bedside manner.

Both of my sons were born here. Both good experiences. And weve gone to the emergency room a few times.Theres a long wait for the ER. But it gets abused a lot. I think KP tries to dial in the copay to be accessible to those who need ER services while chasing off the non-emergencies to urgent care. Tricky stuff and hardly their fault.Expect to be triaged with a kid suffering a belly ache, a couple of hypochondriacs, a distracted guy day trading in China (or Gina), and a shirtless drunk guy who got a beer bottle to the head. The drunk guy took two additional chairs with his entourage - two very hot girls in bikini tops and cut offs. We all had to introduce ourselves. The drunk guy insisted.

Their phone system is poorly designed and places you into an automated continual loop. My call was to check on an a friends well being. You would think basic communication services would be a priority for a health care organization.

The staff was very friendly and caring. Keep in mind they most likely will help guests in need of immediate medical assistance first based on how bad the injury is. It helps to give an honest scale of your pain. Saying your pain is an 11 out of 10 doesnt help you get in the door any quicker. Be honest so you can get an accurate diagnosis. If you have to end up waiting a while its probably because you arent dying, so suck it up and be patient.
