So I get here 30 minutes before my appointment a no they don’t even have me on the schedule. I made the appointment two weeks prior and not only am I not on the schedule but they can’t even find my referral let alone Medical information from my dr. While waiting in the office to be seen the dr repeatedly yelled at the front office staff about a payment that hadn’t been received. Then comes my visit. The tech was slow and rude. He acted as if I didn’t know what I was talking about and yet he was confused when I told him the condition that was found in my eyes. The tech literally said he didn’t know what I was talking about. While here none of the back office staff sanitized any machines used for patients not before and not after use. No one used gloves not even the dr. Let alone none of them even sanitized their hands before or after touching my eyes. My husband was with me and said the restroom was also nasty. No soap for your hands, no paper towels or toilet paper. The appointment was yesterday and my eyes are irritated and itchy now.

Horrible, I have so many negative things to say about this doctor. The last one was when he had my Mom in the hospital for weeks, with very expensive medications and treatments when we all notice that she was already blind. It was until the head nurse and the infectious disease doctor told me to seek for second opinion outside the hospital because they agreed with me that Dr Matthews was just taking advantage of the health insurance and denying the reality that my Mom had became totally bling under his watch.

Dr. Matthews is like the statue of liberty, he sees everyone regardless of type of insurance and is always packed. God bless his attitude and his actual knowledge and skills. His office is small but it gets the job done. Nothing fancy. But his actual patience and skill are wonderful. I had a hole in my retina and he fixed it in 5 minutes. Highly recommend.

Very unprofessional place especially with the COVID-19 PANDEMIC! Theres multiple people in the waiting room, there is no social distancing what so ever! Provider doesnt were gloves or doesnt disinfect his hands after seeing a patient. The place in not well organize and unclean I wouldnt be surprise if they dont disinfect there equipment.

Dr Matthews truly cares about his patients and is very knowledgeable in the field. He is an MD PhD and treats everyone, rich and poor alike. The nature of medicine is that unfortunately, no matter how skilled the practitioner, there will sometimes be bad results, but if it does happen with Dr Matthews, I can certainly say it would not be for a lack of trying, lack of knowledge or skills, or for lack of caring. He has helped my vision tremendously.

Horrible. Cut my mothers optical nerve and lied to her about what happened. Only ever found out about it because of a second opinion.

Dr. Matthews has complete 2 eye surgeries on my left eye. I cannot say enough about how great he is with patients and always willing to take the time and explain everything about what is going on with my eye.

Horrible job. No follow ups on how his pts are doing. Spends less than 5 minutes with his patients post & pre operation. My dad came out even worse (basically blind, to where he cant even open or see anything) after his procedure, and still charged him for his bill. I shouldnt have to say anymore.

Friendly staff, but the technician took a personal call during my appointment (about his work visa) and the equipment was dirty. I was also expected to take out my contacts without clean hands/water/sink. The place was packed and I felt very unimportant. I would not recommend this practice.
