I recently transferred my primary dental care needs to this facility because of my initial one time experience of getting an extraction done. The doctor was very kind and her assistant was very kind as well. Aside from being kind, everyone in this facility really knows what they are talking about when it comes to dental care. Recently I visited for a cleaning and going through the process with their dental technicians, assistant, individuals who conduct the cleaning, and a different doctor this time, I had a very pleasant experience with thorough explanation and proper cleaning done. You can tell when everything done is with care when they spend a good amount of time with you and explain everything clearly. I am very happy to have switched my dental care needs to this place.The scheduling process is very easy. The front office staff is very kind and helpful. I had a post appointment question and they were able to get it answered very quickly. I love the fact that we can communicate through text messages and it makes it a lot easier to go back-and-forth with any needs.Keep up the great work.I look forward to a long-term relationship.

Been coming here for a while now and I absolutely love it. Th staff is always so nice! I can tell that everyone has had proper training. You can tell everyone there enjoys their job and they really just want to help. I’m terrified of the dentist but Dr.W makes everything better :) he is awesome

Ive been a patient at Downtown Dental/Wells Family Dental Group for several years now, and every time I visit its a positive, uplifting, friendly experience. The staff is not only knowledgeable but friendly, the office looks nothing like a dentist office (with rock star posters, a well-designed upscale bathroom, and exposed natural brick throughout), and I feel at ease there. I especially love Ashli, my hygienist, but both Dr. Wells and Dr. Moore make me feel at ease, with their personable style, gentle techniques, and overall professionalism. I highly recommend this place!

The dentist work seemed to be fine, but Very disappointed with the financial office personnel.We were quoted a price (thousands $$$) of what to expect for pre and post treatment of a root canal, including crowns and follow up procedures. But when we went to final appointment we were told we needed to pay $170 more to get a scaling treatment in order to receive the included final cleaning. We did not accept that deceiving action and left. This information was never given to us until we were at the office. This kind of dishonest practice should not be allowed. We will never visit or recommend this office to anyone.

Im not good at going to the dentist. I avoid going because of the anxiety it causes me. Not only was the staff super supportive and friendly, they explained everything they were going to do before they did it. While Im still not excited to go to my next dentist appointment, at least I know that Ill be going here. Perfect 5/7

The convenient location in all of the downtown area. This place is immaculate, the staff is knowledgeable and precise. If offers amazingly modern designs surrounded by historic buildings. The foyer doesnt make you feel like your in a sterile icky environment put a super stylish and comfortable setting. This cutting edge location gets an A+ all the way around.

Hadnt been to the dentist in years before walking into Downtown Dental and very glad I came to them after my time off! I had a comprehensive exam and cleaning with Shiloh. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and upbeat. She did a great job of explaining each step of the exam and cleaning process to me as she worked. They do everything to make you comfortable and at ease, including a TV with Netflix setup above the exam chair. I left feeling clean, fresh, and polished. Will be back again!

This is one of the best practices I have been to. I explained my worries and they heard, acknowledged and answered each one. They even helped me prioritize work needed to be cost effective and that works for my schedule (and wallet).The staff is all super friendly, especially to my 5 year old. I can’t wait to see how my 2 year old does there. Not the most “kid-friendly” environment (no balloons on the walls or funny painting) but don’t let that make you think it ISN’T a kid friendly place. My daughters favorite part was being able to watch Netflix hands free as she had her cleaning done.The cleaning by the way, was super thorough. A little rough on me but I needed a deep clean and got it. My teeth feel great and I look forward to coming back.Highly recommend!

It was easy to get an appointment scheduled, Downtown Dental sent me many reminders about my upcoming appointment, I was able to fill out my new patient forms before getting to the office, and I was seen right upon arrival. The hygienist and the dentist were both very nice!

Ive gone to Downtown Dental for 7 years. Their team and facility is fantastic. Every visit is a positive experience and you feel like part of their family. Ashli has been my hygienist for most of that time and I could not more enthusiastically recommend her, but the whole team is great.

Super convenient location. Friendly, professional front desk team. And my hygienist Ashli was great. Plus, while I know I have some older work that needs to be addressed, there was no hard sell.

Shiloh did a really fine job with my cleaning.

I’ve never had my teeth cleaned as thoroughly as Shiloh cleaned them.

This is my second time visiting Downtown Dental with Shiloh and Dr. Moore. As an adult, I have always had routine cleanings every 6 months and I have never been aware of any periodontal issues. I will say that I’m not the best flosser, I admit that I need to do better but I always brush twice daily. Before coming here, I never had a periodontal chart test done, or at least I was never aware of it. The periodontal chart test showed that I had a deep pocket between a previously extracted molar and existing molar. The molar was extracted nearly 8 years ago and my previous hygienist never shared any concerns about any pocket. However, Shiloh found it on the first visit! She was very thorough and explained everything that she was doing. I was referred to a periodontist to take care of this issue. If I had continued on with my previous dentist, I’m afraid that this would have gone unnoticed. I am appreciative for the level of care from Shiloh and Dr. Moore. They are very friendly, take precautions to keep you safe (COVID), and make sure that you are comfortable. Check in is easy and fast, you are able to watch/listen to any show on Netflix that you choose, and your next cleaning is usually scheduled before you even exit the chair so you don’t have to worry about going to the desk and doing this unless it is for a special appointment. What I like most about Shiloh and Dr. Moore is that they don’t lecture you about your dental health or make you feel embarrassed about the level of dental care that you provide for yourself. They may briefly point out something just to bring it to your attention and the mention is over unless you have questions. They never do this in a ridiculing, demeaning manner like some dentists may do. I also like that they don’t ask you tons of questions while they have their tools in your mouth and expect you to answer them. I never understood why some do that. Anyways, Downtown Dental is the place to go. I would definitely recommend them.

Dentist appointments usually make me a little nervous. Trying to get myself to set up an appointment is like pulling teeth.I had an appointment with Ashli last week. She was fantastic! I was extremely satisfied with my experience at Downtown Dental as a first time patient. There was little to no wait and the staff are professional and personable. And I was introduced to a great teeth whitening product!

Probably my favorite dentist I have been to in the Triangle. The people are very friendly and flexible. Also the first time Ive been to a dentist in the last 20 years where I didnt feel like I was just being herded through to meet some sort of maximum time per patient metric.

Worst, dont go to this place if you dont have insurance. Their insurance cover 15% (what a joke) and they scam you to get deep deep clean to get a free clean later which is a trap for a year. They have a lot of charge for everything that you dont want. If you cancel something $99 is charged, if you ask for a refund $35 is charged. I called them for a refund and no one is available on that line.

I heard about it from a coupon in the mail I got from them. It was closer to my new place and wasnt really married to my other dentist. Figured I would give them a try. Really did a stand up job! The staff was courteous and friendly, but in a grounded way. Didnt come across as fake. They were thorough with making sure they got everything they needed with my teeth to ensure long term success. They hygienist was informative, personable, and easy going. As was the dentist himself. He was efficient, friendly, and used our time together to focus on what was really important and not just finding things to find things like some of my other dentists have done. It was a very good experience and the location of it being downtown with them paying for your parking was great, as well. Ill definitely be returning and naming them as my new permanent dentist.

Can not recommend Downtown Dental enough! Super friendly, quick and precise. I went in to get a filling fixed and told the dentist and hygienist that I get queasy with needles and they completely distracted me so I didnt even notice/ freak out. They also will put on Netflix and a show or your choice during your procedures so youre relaxed and at ease. Definitely helped me calm down. My dentist also talked me through what he was doing as he was doing it which was helpful! 10/10 would recommend.

I just moved to Raleigh over the summer and needed a new dentist. From my first visit at Downtown Dental, I felt really comfortable and like I was being taken care of. Alexa Taylor at the front desk is so welcoming and helpful! Dr. Woll is awesome! He helped me go through a quick Invisalign treatment and I’m loving my new straighter teeth. All in all, love this office and am happy to be a patient here :)

I was traveling on business and had some sticky food pull off a crown, and Downtown Dental was recommended by a co-worker. They were able to fit me in within a couple of hours of my phone call to cement it back on. Everything about my experience there was positive, professional, clean, and seamless. They even looked up my insurance details from the info I provided over the phone, and had everything ready when I arrived. Its apparent that they really enjoy what they do, and thats the foundation for a good dental care experience. If Im in town when my next semi-annual checkup and cleaning comes due, Downtown Dental is where Ill be.

Dr. Wells pilots a warm, prompt and smooth operation in the heart of downtowns burgeoning neighborhood. The staff was friendly and the facilities were chic and inviting. The wait time was short. The hygenist was thorough and efficient. And best of all, my insurance (along with hopefully most others) was accepted. With so many amazing restaurants in the city to sink your teeth into, its great that theres a top-tier place nearby that can clean the foodie fangs when youre done!

Dr. Steddum and Stacy were amazing-made my visit easy and quick! Candice and Vanessa up front helped with insurance issues during my appointment and fixed everything without extra effort from me! Love this place, including its location!
