My husband and kids went take my baby boy to get a haircut. The lady at the desk was rude I think because he no speak English good. It was first time here. We wont go again. The lady who cut his hair was good. We like. Lady with short haircut at the desk need be more nice to people. It is a beautiful nice place but need nice people please.

Omg there isn’t enough I could say about this place. Everyone was so kind and Shirley was so sweet and patient with our 14 month old. It was the perfect place for our little miracle to have his first haircut and we will for sure be back for more!

The best haircut place for my son. The one and only place who accept kids with autism. They deal with him professionally, unlike other hair places who refused my son because he doesn’t sit still, and they don’t want to take responsibility. They’re amazing, and they even give some free toys which my son really enjoy.

The stylist was great with my 2 year old that doesnt like clippers. She was patient, knew tricks to get him to stay still, and followed his head easily when he wouldnt. The haircut turned out great and he didnt mind it! I was hesitant to come here before, it felt like a lot of money to spend on a toddlers hair cut, but its definitely worth every penny.

Such a fun place for little ones! The atmosphere is exactly perfect for kids. They know exactly how to divert a kids attention when needed and kept my son at ease. He did not want to leave after getting his first haircut!

I took my son here today for his 1st haircut for his 1st birthday tomorrow! I had found this place online yesterday and loved the reviews so I decided to try it out and I was more than impressed! Mary cut my sons hair and did the 1st haircut package . She was so sweet and patient with my son. His haircut turned out great I love it😍 this is definitely a great place to take younger kids to sit in the toy cars, play with toys and watch tv while getting their hair done! Lissette cut my daughters hair and she was amazing! She was so sweet and attentive and made my 5 year old feel very comfortable and relaxed. My daughters hair came out exactly how she wanted. Overall it was a great experience at Pigtails & Crewcuts.

I couldn’t make an appointment, I thought I would be greeted with kindness and be welcomed, especially because I was having a day! But no, “there are two others before you. Maybe tomorrow?” I said no, we need to be seen today, I work. So we went to the train room. We’ve been here for several hours. One of the ladies is looking at the computer, the other hanging out, and the other doing laundry. We were left in the back waiting. I know, after today. We WON’T be coming back. So rude.Instead of “fitting us in.” They were just lounging, meanwhile we sacrificed nap time and snack for this. Just lounging! Will be finding a new place. Unreal.

I love this place, it is a bit pricey but I wouldnt change it for anything. They give good haircuts and are super good with kids. Love them!!

The staff is always nice, helpful and patient with my child. They always have some toys or bubbles for the kiddos to enjoy while they are getting a hair cut.

Amber is wonderful! She has a ton of experience and clearly loved kids. She is gentle and kind while also fast and talented. My only wish is that I could book more than 10 days in advance.

This place is everything ! Amazing skills and an outstanding customer service! I was apprehensive because my son who is 3 cried at every haircut he had, this was his first time here and Maria was absolute star ! I honestly never seen someone so dedicated and patient for their job thank you so much ! Pigtails and Crewcuts - Dr. Phillips made our son’s first haircut such a fun and memorable experience! The shop is very cheery and welcoming and the chairs at each station are absolutely adorable (trains, planes, and cars)! My son was enamored with the police car he got to sit in! And all of the staff are incredibly kind and eager to pitch in to keep all of the children happy and content, which is huge considering that getting a haircut has the potential to be an intimidating or even scary undertaking for a young child. My son’s stylist, Maria, was very calm and professional, but quick to interact with my son and make him feel at ease throughout the entire process. He had a great time and looks absolutely adorable. My husband and I are so glad that we chose this shop! :)

Wow nunca he tenido una experiencia como esta… Me and my family have gone to this place and in lake Nona. I recommend this haircuttery a lot and made an appointment for my nephew yesterday on a call. The lady julie was very mean. I say sorry because my English is not perfect but i understood ALOT and she spoke to me como si fuera estupida. It was really sad. my family arrived they were told to wait and my sister told me she had to wait in a back room but didn’t see anyone cutting hair. She called me confused. It took the person 10 minutes to come and take us but the salon had no people. When my sister was paying the lady at the table in front was not nice at all My sister couldn’t understand the pay machine and the lady sat there talking to the other ladies that work. The lady answer phone yesterday no usually the lady who helps me… I go get my sons haircut a different week in monday and that lady on the call and table in front really nice and all the haircut girls were nice. I will be calling to make appointments only when the other lady is there not with julie. So sorry. I will give it a try again but please be nice to use people who have trouble speaking English. Estamos aprendiendo gente!!!I put 2 star because the other ladies nice but on Wednesdays the ladies are mean and no help.

My son is 4 now. We have been getting his hair cuts there since his first. They make it such a great experience. They take a picture of the first cut and add it to the wall. Adds to the family feel. Hes so comfortable with them. Ms. Mary is the is the baby-whisperer, with the patience of a saint! Its a great choice.

It’s always an issue and eye rolling if you ask to only use scissors on your child’s hair then they’ll blame it on having fat fingers that they can’t go lower ok the hair when they can clearly use a comb like professionals do! Been going there for a while because I kept on giving them a chance. It’s always someone different which I was ok with until I found “the one” but none were great. This last time they just messed up my sons hair! Not going back again!!

RantMy rant is not about the Salon but the stylist.Pigtails at Dr. Philips area (Ms. Lissette), not patient with my son (although he was quiet and calm the entire time), she didnt remove the hair from his neck and clothes afterwards. And most importantly she ruined my sons hair. Absolutely awful. Im so upset because I wanted his hair to be cut only a little bit. Yet the stylist ruined his hair. Very uneven. I didnt notice it because she put lots of hair products to hide the mess. Later I noticed it at home and complained right away. The manager offered to fix my sons hair and I appreciate it but Im so upset already because his hair looks much shorter than what I asked. Im not going back again.

We drive all the way to this location from Ocala. Takes us almost an hour and 20 minutes to get here. Its worth it every time. Our son has beautiful long curly hair and this is the only place that takes good care of it. Weve had Maria cut his hair the last two times, she does a great job. Listens to him and what he wants which is important. She is professional, polite and friendly. We request her bc she doesnt treat him differently for wanting to keep shoulder length hair. And she does an amazing job every time. Thank you for your services!!

We were pretty certain our son would have difficult time getting his first haircut. The stylist was great at reading him and he made it through without any tears/tantrum! She did a great job with his haircut itself too.

This was my first time taking my son here and we had such a great experience! We had Mary a she was super sweet and engaging. She listened to my son’s request for what style he wanted and did an incredible job with great attention to detail.

The was a 1st hair cut for my son I love the place kid friendly and clean home feel environment it was quick and there were patient and caring and gentle which was my main concern also with the patients ask for my son I really didn’t want to stress though but they did a great job and I will definitely recommend to friends and family to go

We held off our child’s first haircut until 2 months after his second birthday assuming that he was going to scream his head off because he hates anyone touching his hair—even us (it’s curly and gets knotted easily) we took him in and put him in the little firefighter seat he loved it! Maria did an amazing job with him and his hair he felt so comfortable with her. He was all smiles from start to finish! I don’t think he even noticed he was getting a haircut. I was amazed. I didn’t think it was possible but we left feeling extremely satisfied with the whole experience! Thank you Maria! You did an amazing job with my son and his curly locks :)

The first haircut package was amazing... The woman we had was PERFECT with our baby and made him so comfortable... I knocked off one star because the second time we went we felt rushed and the woman we had wasnt that great with one year olds, she seemed more annoyed than anything. So it prob depends on who you get and what time of day you go...

I went yesterday ( Saturday) with my 5 months old, and we had such a nice experience there! All the stuff were super kind and Maria who cut my baby’s hair, she was amazing! Definitely we are coming back!

Took my 5 year old daughter to pigtails and crewcuts for her first haircut and ear piercing (her choice) today. The staff was so friendly and wonderful to work with. They made her feel at ease and explained what was going to happen. Very clean and kid friendly facility. Thanks for making it a great experience for her!! Totally recommend them 100%!

My son is 2 and doesn’t talk very much yet and is a very shy baby. His hairdresser is was so patient with him and talked to him the whole time. The shop was so cute and very clean. Loved it!

Our son is quite hesitant when it comes to haircuts, mainly because at nearly three years old he likes to be in charge and doesnt want anyone telling him what to do. Our stylist made the experience super fun for him and followed his pace. And when he decided he was done, she stopped and we still had a great haircut at the end. The woman at the front desk even put T.O.T.S. (his favourite show) on the television to help ease his anxiety. We had a fantastic time, and got a stylish haircut for a fantastic price. Will definitely recommend.

If youre 5 minutes late because of an accident on the highway be prepared to wait 45 minutes for your booked appointment. And when you try to call multiple times to let them know youre going to be a few minutes late they wont even answer the phone. The girl at the front told me I had to wait because I was late. Thats fine.. but after 35 minutes waiting she told me it would be easily until 45 minutes after that I could be seen, reminding me I was late. She said everyone else whos on time will be seen ahead of you. Um, thats not how it works. U dont make someone whos 5 minutes late with a baby to wait 45 minutes. Absolutely unacceptable!

Staff was VERY friendly and welcoming. Me, my mom and my boyfriend were in awe over the skill and professionalism our stylist, Mary, had while cutting my sons hair. I will most certainly be referring people I know that have kids to this salon.

I took my daughter to the doctor Phillips location and got a princess package. Her stylist chantel was very nice and made the experience a great birthday present for my daughter! I am glad I decided to give it a second try!

We took our almost 8 year old daughter and 2 year old son here. It was our son’s first professional hair cut. The location was clean, child friendly, and prices were good. Angela cut both my kids hair and she was so good with my son who was obviously a little scared/nervous.

Amber was great! Easy to talk to and my son loved her. The facility was very clean and I saw several people cleaning the second a kid was done. Everyone was asked to wash their hands upon entry, which I thought was another great idea to help with keeping up health and safety of all. We have been taking our son here for years and will continue. Everyone is always so pleasant!

We were so excited for our 2 girls to experience the princess package- hair wash, trim, style and nails painted. Unfortunately, our stylists made it seem annoying to request a different hair style, even charged extra to have curls. Luckily, our girls are still happy and there is another location not fair in clermont as we won’t be back to this one.

Love it! 4th time bringing my toddler boy there and he usually gets terrified by scissors and machines and the staff have been always been friendly and give my son a 1 on 1 personalized attention. As well I need to mentioned the salon is always super clean and everybody is smiling and eager to help. Our done is 6 and have been going here since his first haircut. We drive about 25 minutes 1 way just to go here. The ladies that work here have more patience of anyone Ive ever seen. Gonna be a sad day when he has to graduate to a more cool place to get his haircut lol. Highly recommend.

They were behind patient with our son. I didn’t catch the name of our stylist but she did a phenomenal job and was so quick!! I don’t know how to upload a photo but honestly my husband and I were just in awe by how awesome she did!!My son hates haircuts. My husband and I tried scissors, the buzzer cutting our hair in front of him, candy/movies to distract, taking him to a salon and nothing. He would just scream and cry and move making it impossible to cut his hair. There was even one salon where the stylist simply said he wasn’t going to keep trying anymore after a few snippets to the back of his head bc my son kept moving too much. We paid the full $20 service. I was beyond anxious but after all the great reviews decided to try this place, and I’m beyond happy I did! We had an amazing experience, and I hope that if you have a child that hates haircuts you try them out too and have the awesome experience we did. ♥️

Great experience for my son. His second haircut was sucj a great experience we will definitely be back. I do recommend an appointment as my wait time as a walk in around 10am was 45 minutes on a Saturday. The stylist ask lots of questions yup make the haircut easygoing for your kids. My son at 15 months really enjoyed the little car sat in while they cut his hair. They also have so many toys on there got purchase and got free that my son really enjoyed. As we left we got to take something shall from a treasure chest. Highly recommend this place.

We just left the salon with our 19 month old son who had his first hair cut. We had Mary. To say that she is amazing is an understatement. My son cried, screamed, and moved around non stop while my husband held him and I tried to play baby shark, his favorite, to try to distract him. Not only did Mary have a lot of patience, she was very professional, and through my son’s kicking and screaming she gave him an amazing haircut. Will definitely come back for his next haircut.

I have used Pigtails & Crewcuts once before to pierce my daughters ears a few years ago and they were great. I wanted to get my 4 month old daughters ears pierced and needed to pierce my older daughters ears again because they closed up. I was really worried about doing it due to COVID. I spoke with Amber and she understood and worked with me so that I would be comfortable. She went above and beyond and I was able to get the kids ears pierced safely. I recommend this place they are great.

Whenever I take my son to his haircut, the girls are so nice. He doesnt really like having his hair cut and they are very patient.

My husband brought my son in today 09/11/2020 and he was so happy with the service. Our son was traumatized when he was younger due to a botched haircut and top that with being on the spectrum haircuts are his least favorite thing to do. We had an appointment with Mary and from what my husband has said she was amazing she took her time gave him breaks, talked to him, encouraged him, and overall helped him relax more. He cried through the whole thing but my husband said she remained calm and was so incredibly sweet to him. His hair looks awesome he loves it keeps looking in the mirror and saying I so cute! So thank you so much Mary we are so grateful to you and we will see you again soon.

Only reason Im not giving them a 5 is that when they specialize in doing little childrens haircuts for $22 they should or at least the girl we had should have been better at entertaining my grandson who screamed through the whole experience.

I took my son there for his first haircut. I wanted a lock of his hair in a hair tie and way told his hair was to short. Maria cut some pieces off the back and put them in a bag. Then proceeds to hack his hair all up. Its not even anywhere. The back where the buzzers were used is a good 1/4 higher in one spot then the rest. He sat there and waved to people in the room, he wasnt moving around. Id never go back and my sons first haircut is awful and I dont even have a nice piece of hair for his baby book.

I love Amber! I have now gotten my sister to bring in her daughter as well. She does an amazing job everytime and acknowledges my sons interests when hes in her chair. My son’s first haircut went AMAZINGLY. I was running late for his appointment, which surprisingly wasn’t an issue I did have to be considered a walk in so I did end up getting someone random (that wasn’t a problem since it was our 1st Time so we didn’t know anyone there plus I didn’t even have to wait, it was packed and they were able to see us right away!). We got Amber she did amazing! I was nervous, she was reassuring. We brought in a picture reference and on top of that she also nicely suggested to keep a little longer in the front since his hairs a little thinner in the front. I’m so glad we listened to her suggestion because it came out better than I could even imagine! I would highly recommend this place and amber for sure!!!

We have been to this location to get my sons haircut twice and they have always been great. Ale (spelling?) did an amazing job today! My son didnt cry at all for the first time and she nailed the cut that I wanted for him. I would definitely look for her again for our next cut!
