Very nice and clean area; courteous and helpful employees. I came in looking to get a haircut fairly quickly and they had an availability the next day that worked perfectly for me. Came in and was taken care of almost immediately. Super friendly and Libby was so sweet working with me on what style and haircut I wanted. Very relaxing and quick but great results. Ill definitely be looking here again for the next cut or trim I look to do next.

Absolutely wonderful experience. We were driving to Orlando from Miami and didn’t have an opportunity to pass by my local barber. We were able to make an appointment by phone with Libby for 4:30pm on a Wednesday. We arrived at the salon at 4:20 and were immediately greeted by Libby and was provided a Michelin-starred experience. I know now that when I’m heading to Orlando again to just get a haircut there. She was wonderful, the salon was clean, and was extremely reasonably priced! Never have I’ve been given such a please try haircut. Was the full works!

I have been going to Libby since 2017. I was nervous at first about using a new salon because I had just moved here but the salon had great reviews so I decided to try it out. I described my hairstyle to Libby and she styled it just right just by me telling her. She also does a great job with color and provides insight and advice into how to keep color longer or just how to improve your hairs quality overall. Libby is a joy to see and always makes you feel welcome and at home. The salon is always clean and well organized as well as your in and out!

Libby is seriously the best! I can’t express enough that I just received THE BEST HAIRCUT OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! Libby is professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and outgoing. She gives you the tips and tricks to make your hair look incredible even after you leave the salon. She makes you feel welcome and at home. Libby was amazing!! Upon walking in, I felt like I had been there before. The color and cut was 100% what I wanted. I asked her not to take off my length but clean up my dead ends and she did it flawlessly. This is something I have never been able to find. My first visit to this salon. Very personable. I got a haircut and shampoo . My hair was.long and now shoulder lengthThe cut came out a bit stylish and close to what I requested. Im from out of town. I made an appt. They take walk ins but yet I had to waite. I got there early. Its a clean well manicured establishment. Id recommend going here if on vacation and not familiar with area. Covid friendly.

I’ve been going to Mrs. Libby for about 3 years and she’s wonderful. She’s Very amicable and professional. Her prices are reasonable and she does take her time. Also , her salon is comfy , beautiful and unique. I will Definitely keep going there to get my wash. Update : I’ve relocated to another state last summer and I sure do miss her !! It’s been a hassle trying to find someone unique as her ! 😍

I made an appointment in hopes of fixing my roots and going back to my original color. Libby was amazing at helping me find the right color to match my roots so growing my hair out wouldnt be a pain but also showed me the fun side of natural hair color. She made my hair incredibly soft and I got so many compliments. I will definitely be going back here again whenever I get tired of having my natural color hair again.

Great Customer Service. It is a mom and pop place that her and her husband work. I have been going there for over a year now. I have tried to find a good barber or place to get a hair cut and I found this place and I havent gone anywhere else. The atmosphere is nice with a contemporary/classic feel to it inside. Its not like a regular salon where its all mirrors and tables..The prices arent bad for a good hair cut. They are looking to hire as well. if are a good quality hair stylists looking a place to start a career with a great flow of customers than this is the spot for you. The thing I like most is that you are able to contact the owner directly and she will respond quicker than going through McDonald Drive through. Great owners and Great place to get a hair cut.

Let me start out by saying that I am a natural Dark brunette and have tried most of my life to become as close to a platinum blonde as possible without frying my hair. I have literally tried dozens of salons who have either killed my hair, hair-shamed me, or told me its impossible.Libby is the ONLY one who has ever truly taken the time to listen to me, explain my options, and actually get me to be platinum.Every time I leave the salon Im in love with my hair. Ive even been stopped by strangers and asked who does my color and Im always happy to rave about Libby and the Bamboo salon.I moved to Florida from NJ and it took me forever to find a salon with actual reasonable prices, good availability for those of us who work long hours, and just an overall great experience.Libby is the best-super personable and optimistic. You can tell hair is her passion and shes great at it.I actually hired Libby to do my wedding hair and have had two bridesmaids ask how much it would be to fly her to NJ for their weddings.All my friends, co-workers, and Florida family now go here. Was there Monday at opening.Window sign clearly states walk ins welcome. Woman tries to giveMe an appointment for 215pm because that is all she has avail for a walk-in.Never asks what I am even there for!! Not friendly at all! Obviously walk ins ARE NOT welcome!

They consistently offer great customer service and theyre efficient and highly skilled.Id been jumping between hair places for years trying to find a good fit before my wife recommended Bamboo. I was in town for a wedding and decided to go with an up-do due to the Florida heat. Libby is a very talented hair stylist. She gave me a beautiful up-do for a wedding that I attended this past weekend. She was able to take the picture I selected for the up-do and created an unbelievable version of it turning it into her own and a bit more formal for the occasion. Not only was she great at doing my hair she was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Her and her husband gave me some great advice about the area and shopping tips. Wish I lived in the area because this would be the salon I would choose to get my hair done between the kindness and talent of Libby.

I like to always stick with one hair stylist that way I always get the things right. When I came here the first time I saw people excited after they looked in the mirror at their new haircut. I’m glad I came that day, since then, I’m always going to Bamboo Saloon for my haircut appointment! Libby is awesome. My daughter and I have thick hair and she has made it so much easier to manage. She asks what you would like done to your hair and then gives her advice and it always turns out great. Best hair stylist in the area. Always makes you feel at home

DO NOT go here to get your hair styled!! Hair looked completely unfinished. Went back and apologized but that I just did not like the look and it looked completely unfinished. She got super defensive saying I must have done something to it and that she would only curl a couple pieces bc she doesn’t have time. Mind you I left the wedding venue to go back to attempt to get my hair fixed. Even the part I didn’t like before I left she got defensive about and hardly corrected what I was asking for. Maybe her specialty is cutting or coloring but save your $100 and go somewhere else for a style.

These ladies are fantastic. I went as a walk in and Miranda did my hair. She gave me an amazing medium cut with great flow and texture. Ive never been happier with a hair cut before. I will definitely be returning. The picture attached is after she worked her magic!

I came to this salon because it appeared to have great reviews. We were visiting the Florida area for 6 weeks and decided to color while there to save time upon my return home. I came in with a picture of brunette hair and wanted my dark blonde/light brown hair to be burnett. The color ended up not being quite brunette but I did like it. Problem was when I washed it, the color started coming out immediately. Within 4-5 washes I was back to my original color even though I was using color shampoo. Extremely disappointed and a waste of my $200. They may be good for haircuts but I would definitely never recommend them for color.

I moved to the area about 4 years ago and I have been to many salons in the area. Ive had issues with salons making me feel awkward and having an appointment which seems like theyre trying to just rush me out for the next person. In turn I leave feeling like they rushed my hair and I just had to pay them 40-50 bucks for nothing.I went to bamboo salon and Sheryl cut my hair. she was super nice and friendly and gave me a super cute haircut! she also listened to what I actually wanted. Ill definitely be returning!

Libby took our grandmother as a walk in and gave here the best hair cut ever. My grandmother is in a wheel chair and Libby washed, and styled her hair from her chair and Libby and Miarnda where caring, kind and reasonably priced.

So, I just called for an appointment and the person who answered told me there was an opening in 10 minutes. Knowing that I could be there in 10 minutes, I said ok, that I could be there. He then proceeded to talk me out of coming since I only had 10 minutes to get there. I live less than 1 mile away. Why even tell me there is an opening if you dont really want me to come in? Guess the search is on again for a new salon.

Yesterday (8/31) I went into Bamboo Salon with the intention of getting my balayage retouched. I was initially very happy with the result until I took a closer look when I got home. I noticed that there were large dark sections that looked banded, and the top was very streaky. She used a balayage comb which I have never heard of, but trusted her judgement because she said she has 30 years of color experience.When I got home and realized how streaked it was, I texted the hair stylist, Libby, who is also the Salon Owner. I told her of my concerns and asked if I could come into the Salon again for her to take a second look at my hair. She told me to get it re-done in 3 months, and then switched and told me to get it re-done in 2 months.She then told me additional highlights (which I didnt want) would come at an additional cost. At this point I had not asked for anything in addition to the services I had already received, I had only asked if I would be able to go in and have her take a second look to see if she sees what I see. I responded politely, and then she blocked my number so I could no longer contact her.I went in today to talk to her since I could no longer text her, and she would only talk to me as she was working on another client. She kept repeating everything several times, and would at points ask her client for her opinion on the issues we were discussing (which is incredibly unprofessional). I left in tears because she was not listening to me at all.She kept saying she explained to me 10 times that I should get a gloss, but that was 100% untrue. We talked about a gloss two times during my visit yesterday and she told me that it would even the color out and I would not have as much dimension, which is why I chose to forgo the gloss.This entire experience would have been avoided if she has simply said yes come in and we can talk when I initially texted her. I may have had to pay for a gloss or tone, and would have been fine with it but at this point do not feel the need to spend an additional amount on her services when I already paid $210 for a color service that I am not remotely happy with, and one that she is not willing to even take a look at and fix.I am surprised her current clients still go to her when they see how she treats people who have even the slightest concern about the outcome of their hair.Im not sure of the response she will give this post, but I know she will. I have tried to only write factual things in this post, so that everything I say is completely accurate and not opinion based, but Im sure shell try to twist my experience around into something else.Update: After I went back to Bamboo Salon today, I went to Salon Dulay and spoke to Amanda K (a senior stylist at the salon), who agreed with me that “that’s not balayage, those are highlights.” Confirmation wasn’t needed but the confirmation I wasn’t crazy was nice!

Ive been in Orlando (for work) for the past week and Ive been looking for a salon since I landed here. Nothing looked good. Happened to be in the same plaza as Bamboo Salon today so I dropped in.The decor is adorable - I absolutely covet the chandelier / light they have over the wash stations (watch out ladies, Im coming back for that thing!) Everything is super clean and has little vintage-y flares. I love it.There were a few people waiting in the reception area and the salon owner was busily cutting hair. She was super friendly and was able to take a moment to see what I needed, even though she was working. I didnt have an appointment BUT she was able to get me in right away with Chelsea. I wasnt looking for much, just wanted the sides of my mohawk shaved down. Chelsea did an awesome job and even asked if I wanted it washed after - so awesome. We got talking about the length and in that subtle, sneaky way that hairdressers give you solid advice that you may not have wanted to hear, we came around to my needing to cut it. She did an awesome job. AWESOME.Conversation was easy and low-key; we talked about hair color and products, etc. She also told me that her folks are the shop owners and you know what, they are friggin adorable together. Seriously. So cute.Im actually sad to go home because its a long trip to Florida to get my hair cut... but Id seriously consider coming back for it! :) Thanks, guys!
