I switched to this pharmacy after meeting one of the owners several years ago.. my mother was visiting and the kindness shown to her was incredible. I have several pharmacies within blocks of my apt but will go out of my way to use this shop! I cannot say enough nice things...

This is my drug store in town! Theyre all so welcoming, and theyre going to really help you if you ever have some doubts about any medication or supplements! This drug store needs to be remembered!

My favourite local chemist ! Family run by the friendliest crew. They take care of their customers like no big chain ever could. They deliver in parts of Manhattan (including to midtown !), they follow up with you on prescriptions, and can provide any product available on the market in under 24hrs if they dont have it already in stock. I moved to Queens but return to them regardless because no one could dream for better service than they provide. Also - support your small local businesses :)

Knowing they have a great selection of European products, I popped into New York Chemists to see if I could find a gift for a friend. Not only did they have a great selection of lotions, candles, and soaps, but they also have great customer service. The guy behind the counter asked if what I was buying was for me or for a gift, and before I even blinked he wrapped it for me and gave me a bag of samples for myself to try. Wow! I will be coming back. Thank you New York Chemists!

The staff here were so incredibly helpful to me - I cannot recommend them more highly! When the prescription provided to me by the doctor was found to be prohibitively expensive they contacted the doctor, organized for a different medication, sourced that new medication and then had it delivered very promptly. They were so warm, caring & friendly.

I cant get enough of this place and the staff. All wonderful and knowledgeable people here and I get nothing but the best. Very personable too yet very confidential with any consults I have with them. Full of life and are always ready for all my needs.

These guys were awesome. We came in from NC with a prescription that we couldnt get filled in NC due to time constraints and lack of supply there. Walgreens at Penn Station freaked out when they saw the out-of-state Rx, and CVS next door didnt have the med, but these folks could and did fill it. Huge stress load off our shoulders.

The entire gang at New York chemist are just awesome people. They are so professional and extremely friendly. And they respect your privacy and if they have a question in regards to a medication you were taking they pull you to the side and talk to you privately. They call you when your prescription is ready. They even call your doctor for you in regards to a prescription in question or to be refilled. This place! Holy cow, do they go above and beyond. Theyve helped me for over 25 years, first at another pharmacy where they were the core staff, and now at this location. My medical needs have at times been very complicated and required that they extend themselves in order to meet them. Never have they failed me or even acknowledged how difficult it has been. This is a great place, run by thoughtful, professional people who also happen to be very kind. Highly recommend.

This highly professional and friendly neighborhood pharmacy is one of my favorite spots in the Village. They recently stayed open late so my wife could pick up a prescription for me after an operation. The owners and staff are very knowledgable and helpful about insurance matters.

Ive known these folks since they worked at Village Apothecary. They left during an ownership transition and I was pleased as punch when I discovered them right around the corner-- Theyre the best! They provide great service and they treat you as a friend and neighbor, not like a customer. Ive watched them help foreign visitors, people needing scrips at the last minute because theyre traveling; and old crones like me. And they carry wooden Q-tips! Who could ask for anything more? A visit to NY Chemists will remind you why its important to support your local family-owned shops. I went to this pharmacy looking for an alternative to the terrible service and inhuman treatment of the big chains, and I found it right there. They have a great supply and variety of drugstore and pharmacy items including some trendy stuff. Whats more, they are super friendly, nice and helpful. They patiently worked with me to find everything I needed, negotiated a discount on an expensive item I had to buy, and went out of their way to help me at every step. Theres also that warm feeling when you go back and they recognize you and already know what youre looking for. Im moving a few blocks away from them, but Ill be happy to take the extra walk to keep this shop as my primary pharmacy.
