Dr. Galstian has human approach to patients. She is attentive and never rushed. She took care of me as usual. Called me to check on me. It was wonderful to feel so cared for by my health professional.

Dr. Galstian is a great doctor. I’ve been coming to see her for years. She’s very friendly and easy to talk to. My visits are always pleasant and she is very thorough in checking my health. The office is very clean and the nursing staff are always nice and friendly. I would recommend her to anyone needing a PCP!

I saw Virali Patel for a standard check up and she was great! She and the staff were super thorough and helpful. They also didnt make me wait forever and they were quick but not in a rushed way. I will definitely return!

I wouldn’t know how the doctor was because they would not let me in the office to see her unless I put a credit card on file, I don’t know why they need a credit card on file after I paid my copay with cash, unless it’s a scam, and the people working there looked shady, stay away from that office!!!

Very good experience every time I have visited the office. Dr. G crosses all the “T’s” and dots all the “I’s,” which is very important to me. I would rather make sure I’m okay than just slap a quick bandaid on a bigger problem. She listens to patient concerns and offers a variety of approaches to handling the issue. Also she is very pleasant and friendly. Office staff is wonderful as well. The nurse who took my blood did a fantastic job, especially because I am a fainter. Very knowledgeable and kind. I went for an annual physical. I liked the staff a lot. everyone was very professional. I liked that the doctor didnt waste a lot of time. Gave some relevant and helpful tips and advice but not too much delay or chit-chat since I have other stuff I gotta do.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Im deeply disappointed with this office.After a first good impression of the doctors bedside manner, the unfortunate events quickly piled up:First let me say, no one likes to just hand over all of their credit card details for obvious privacy reasons.Second, I was not informed how much I would have to pay extra for services like an EKG. Patients should at all times be aware what they are signing up for instead of surprised later on. I feel like my panic in the urgent care situation was taken advantage of.Third, I not only received a bill over 150 dollars, but I feel like I am paying for services which were never FULLY PROVIDED:1. A lab blood test – blood was drawn, but the results were never discussed or mentioned in the slightest. Which, if I am paying this much for my blood to be tested, should be just as much part of the test as is drawing the blood.2. I was asked to come in for a second appointment, which required special equipment for another test. Not only were they not aware of the nature of my appointment at the time, but made me waste over 1 hour of my lunch break to tell me they were not prepared i.e. the equipment needed for the scheduled test was not functioning.The result: I had lost an hour of my day and 30 Dollar co-pay for an appointment that never happened. I was promised my co-pay would go towards the next appointment when the equipment is fixed. However, I cancelled this appointment for obvious reasons and demanded a refund, which I was promised on the phone but never received. Now the office is ignoring my emails and holding onto my money, which is nothing short of audacious.Apparently the demand is so high in NYC, some doctors dont see the need to respect their customers enough for them to return.Thanks for nothing.

I make sure to go to my annual physical BECAUSE of Dr Galtian and her staff. they are so well mannered, and the office is very well-run and you can tell that everyone gets along. Dr Galstian has a wonderful bedside manner and is incredibly caring and thorough. I really cannot say enough because I generally do not enjoy drs and avoid avoid avoid, but not here.

Had to get blood drawn. I am a big blood-baby, but the nurse was a total pro, the puncture mark didnt even bleed. Overall, everyone I spoke with was courteous and professional.

What an absolutely terrible medical center. I went there as a first-time patient, and was asked (by extremely rude reception staff) to sign a disclaimer form that included my credit card information, and to sign and agree that the practice can charge my credit card at any given time. I told them I had fully inclusive insurance which should cover everything. She said it was their policy and that I couldnt see the doctor until I handed over a credit card. I called my work (a law firm with one of our departments specializing in health law), and my colleague advised me to leave, and it seemed very questionable that they were asking for credit card information. When I asked to speak to the receptionist privately - because the waiting room is very small - she rolled her eyes and reluctantly took me into a room without closing the door, saying this was their policy, and that i could leave if I didnt agree. I asked if I can speak to the doctor about this, and she said I cant see the doctor unless I signed over my credit card. I informed them this type of information may be a contravention of NY State health law. Needless to say, I left. Never again. What a horrendous welcome to a new patient.

She is very thorough and want the best for her patients. For me she is the doctor that I had gone to in my life.

Went in for a pap smear - left with a surprise $300 bill. The doctors office assistants are totally useless. They will not accept responsibility for running testS on me that were outside of my annual pap smear. Despite asking if everything was covered and being assured it was, I have left solely responsible for something that was not my fault.I cannot stress enough how much I do not recommend this office

This is my first time at this office and my experience was not the best. The women at the front desk said that I never filled out my insurance information online. The first thing she says is I don’t think your insurance is accepted here. She checks on her computer and then prints out proof on how I didn’t fill that out and how they would of told me it wasn’t accepted if I had filled it. She then apologies, smiles, give me a print out of my patient info and that’s my cue to leave. Not one of the women at the front desk offered me any options of additional payment or methods to see the doctor. I’ve never been to a doctors office where I’m not given options to payments since I’m already at the office with an appointment. Whose to say that I wouldn’t of considered paying out of pocket. Yes my insurance wasn’t accepted but I’m a person who commuted an hour for a service and wasn’t offered anything but sorry. And how do you send me over 10 reminders for an appointment but don’t see if my insurance is filled out. That would of avoided an embarrassing moment in the office with a room full of people as she says” we don’t take your insurance” with a smile on her face. This office needs to better!

Doctor has good bedside manner, but the office was absolutely not upfront about how much certain procedures would cost. As someone who is not an expert, I trust that I would be told about how much something would cost and the purpose, especially especially when the office has my insurance details on hand. I feel I was scared into doing procedures and now I owe $600. I will pay what I owe and go somewhere else that has transparent pricing and doesnt tell me literally 135 days later that I owe them $600.

SCAM. I went in to see Dr. Galstian for a referral, while I was there she said she was going to schedule me for an annual physical. I said no thank you, I dont care to have one right now. She urged me to do it since I hadnt gotten one yet this year. I asked her how much it would cost and she assured me that it would be completely free. I agreed. A month later I received bills for almost $400. I tried contacting the billing office, no answer, mailbox was full. I tried calling the office, SO INCREDIBLY RUDE AND UNHELPFUL. Leslie is HORRIBLE. So condescending. She always gave some run around and offered to relay the message which never got anywhere or offered any response. I finally called again angrily at how unhelpful they are and she HUNG UP ON ME. This place is a SCAM and should be shut down for FRAUD.

Thank you to the staff at Family Medicine NYC... They were very professional. They had me come in and accomodated my request to see me earlier than originally scheduled. The annual check up I did with them was prompt, and they were courteous and efficient throughout the entire time I was there.

This was my first time seeing Dr. Galstian for a visit. She was thorough and provided me with referrals based on our conversation. There is very little wait time at her office, which I appreciate because I am traveling from Brooklyn.

Unfortunately, I had a poor experience with this doctor. I have a history a anxiety, especially in hospitals and dr offices, so I thought I should let her know about this history since it was the first time I was seeing her. I told her I was a bit anxious about the blood work and that I had passed out in a hospital before, just to keep that on her radar in case anything happened. Other than this, she knew nothing about me and proceeded to say Should I send you home with a pill to calm you down and then you can come back for blood work ... I was truly appalled that she would just hand out a pill to someone she knows nothing about. She then decided to tell me that because I dont eat meat regularly, I wont be able to read a book and comprehend what I read when Im older. Again ... what? I asked her for the science/data behind this and she responded with oh we dont have these things because it is a new trend ..... She also told me I had to come back to her in two weeks for a pap smear (she is not a GYN not sure how I feel about allowing a family doctor to do that sort of thing). To top off my experience, it is now 2.5 weeks later and the office will not send me my blood work results because I refused to come in for the pap smear appointment. She didnt tell me what tests she was sending my fluids out for and when I got my bill it seemed she found every test under the sun to try. I took away that she needed money or something so wanted to scam me into many tests and follow up appointments that she could bill me for. Needless to say, not the comfortable experience I was hoping for in a doctor. The nurse was absolutely lovely though!

Doctor Galstian is one of the best doctors I have encountered. She is genuinely interested in your well being and take the time to explain and address all of your questions.

This office is a nightmare. I had my blood drawn and the nurse couldnt find the vein. She immediately gave up and had another nurse try. After she successfully drew blood from my other arm, the arm had a bruise the size of a baseball for two weeks afterwards. After a week I called the office to ask about the blood test results and they told me that had called me and left a message. They hadnt. I asked them to send my prescription to my pharmacy. They never did. I called asked them again to send the prescription and they told me I didnt need the prescription. Then they looked at my file and said they had called me a week ago to let me know about the prescription. I never received a call. I had them check my number. It was correct. I use an iphone, so all calls and messages are documented. It was an awful experience. I will never go back to this doctors office.
