Love this practice. Not only have I had my eyes examined here, but two of my children have as well. The staff are all very friendly and professional - and particularly gentle and encouraging with the kids (ages 8 and 5). Highly recommended!

When I had my exam a few months ago, Dr. Hughes was professional and caring, he made me feel very comfortable. I never felt rushed during the process, unlike so many other doctors who have examined me in the past. To save money, I ordered glasses online, but seemed to have a problem with the prescription. I went in and they checked out the new glasses, made sure they were right and fitting well. No charge, even though I didnt buy them there. A true class act!

Excellent all around. They were able to examine me very quickly, I was given several different options for my aging eyes (I didnt know multifocal contacts were a thing), and they have an incredible selection of frames. I am now able to read a book with my contacts without having to use readers or put on my multifocal glasses.

Over the past 6 years I have been to several optometrists in the Longmont area. Third Avenue is without question the best. Everyone on the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I am not always the most trusting of people in the medical field. However I have never felt like I was being taken in a direction I didn’t fully feel comfortable with. You could say the downside is that the prices may be slightly higher than their competition. I have seen first hand that you absolutely get what you pay for. If you value your eyes, or have any issues requiring knowledge and trust, than I would advise you to give them a try.

It has been years, well decades really, since Ive been to Third Ave Eyecare. I remember it being the best eye care professionals Ive ever worked with. Well, even with new owners, I was not disappointed. The service and equipment they use is World Class. The brands of frames and lenses are also among the best. Im so glad to be back as a customer!

In our culture that is so steeped in focusing on the bottom line alone, so often (even in the medical profession) being rushed in and out like so many cattle, it is heartening that this office, while being efficient and professional, still retains a small town feel that truly sees me as an individual and gives me real personal attention. I thought cost would be more than some of the discount eye places and found that not to be true. So far, I have been very happy with their prices. I also have some decent insurance so that helped.

I Have been seeing Holly for the past 2 years after long waits to get appointment or seen at other places. The wait time was a little longer than expected once but the staff office is wonderful. I felt my concerns were important. The turn around time for lenses and contacts was better than I have experienced in the past. Overall, my experience has been very positive.

Everyone on the office is so helpful. They take their time, answer any questions, and make sure you’re new prescription is correct. I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Great for prescription Costa sunglasses! Worth driving up from Boulder. I couldnt find any shop in Boulder that would do all of: a) use the Costa lenses b) give me a reasonable price and c) use insurance. 3rd Ave did all three plus had great customer service. I would recommend them.

First visit, since cataract surgery last year. Also first visit since the retirement of Dr Brody. Overall, went very well. Understood, when I had slight issues reading, because my eyes decided right then, to start watering a bit, making things slightly blurry! Went well, was done in about an hour. Asked frequently, as check up went, if I had questions! I’ll be back, when ready to get prescription filled, and when I’m ready for my next check up!

Walked in for the first time and had a prescription in roughly thirty minutes. Super easy and the doc knew what he was talking about. A bunch of tests and some questions. They didnt need to dilate my eyes which is a huge plus. The people were friendly and I could choose my frames in the store as well. Would recommend.

ZERO stars, NOT one. They LIE to get people with broken glasses into their store by saying they do repairs. They barely even looked at the simple repair that needed to be done before they went into high pressure sales mode to get into my pocket book to sell me new glasses instead of the repair I specifically said I wanted. DISHONEST RIP-OFF SHOP! They lied and wasted my time and tried to rip me off. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

The staff is friendly. After multiple visits and spending about $500 and shutting down my business every time I needed to come in because of their hours,I am STILL without glasses I can wear, contacts I can wear, and my $200 prescription sunglasses had to be made back into regular sunglasses because they couldnt be worn without causing nausea.The reason:Because of the curved lensesThen dont sell me $200 prescription sunglasses with a curve!After my 4th or 5th visit, I could not afford to keep shutting down my business to come in any longer.I asked what my bill was and paid it in full.Four months later I get a bill from them for $117......after I settled my bill in the office. I explained to her the situation and how I have wasted all that time and money and I still have nothing to show for it except for some overpriced Oakley sunglasses. Two days before christmas I received a collection letter and have now added fees on top of that.Thanks! Now we will add $175 to the total spent and I STILL DONT HAVE ANY GLASSES, PRESCRIPTION SUNGLASSES, OR CONTACTS that I can wear without becoming nauseous.I was also charged full price for the multiple boxes of contacts I was given even though I only tried on one set and wanted to return all of the unopened boxes so that I wasnt charged for something useless to me.This was a pretty expensive mistake. Lesson learned.Update to response:I dont recall refusing to change my frames, I do recall being sold prescription curved sunglasses and then being told after the fact that the prescription doesnt work because they are curved. This also doesnt explain why I cant wear my regular prescription glasses and I also dont have contacts I can wear. After settling my account in full before I left, then receiving another bill a few months later, the fact is that I spent an exorbitant amount of money and still have no optical correction.You can say that I went against their advice but that is not true and the facts are the facts. I came in for 3 types of lenses to wear and to see better while working, after multiple visits with your clinic, I have ZERO lenses to wear.My review is fact based and still stands.You guys called me 1 time, not multiple times.You are now telling lies to save face.Yes I knew your hours and didnt expect to have to come in 10 times to get proper correction. If it took me that many times to get it right with my customers, I would expect the same response from my clients.Thanks for nothing.

I had a closed head injury and have had trouble in the past getting eye glasses that work for me. The Opticians at 3rd Avenue have worked with me, being extremely patient and have been able to get glasses to work. They even did adjustments on my safety glasses from work, which were purchased at another site, due to work requirements. The other company could not get them adjusted to where I didnt have headaches. Susan was able to make the adjustments I needed.

I have been coming to Third Avenue Eyecare since I was in the fifth grade and have always found them to be helpful and caring.
