Very pleased with the care and service we received at KC Orthopedic Institute. Front desk was efficient and expedited the paperwork as we were a new patient. My son fractured his collarbone and Dr Rhoades was caring yet direct in talking with my son and my husband (only one parent could go in). Very happy with the care here!

I have the greatest respect for the doctors I have dealt with at Dickson-Dively Orthopedics. Dr. Rhoades is no exception. Very personalible, very knowledgeable and didnt try to force me to have surgery. Presented everything to me...decision was mine.

Dr. Rhoades is kind, considerate and takes time to explain your condition. Ive been to him when I thought I had a torn rotator cuff. He recommended physical therapy and it worked great. So hes a doctor that doesnt jp to surgery. I highly recommend him!!

Dr. Rhoades is kind, keeps you informed, and basically everything you a want in a surgeon. I hope I don’t need any more knee surgery, but if I do I would definitely go straight to him.

Dr Rhoades and all the support staff continue to provide the best that can be expected from a medical staff. I was very impressed with the pace of my visit, I waited a very short time for x-ray and then also to see the doctor and his PA. Staff was amazing. Dr Rhoades is the best! My son broke his collarbone we had a consultation and within three days he was in surgery! We received a call the next day from the surgery center making sure he was doing ok. To our surprise we even got a phone call from Dr. Rhodes himself making sure how everything was going and addressed any questions. I would highly recommend this office and staff to anyone and everyone!

Dr. Rhoades was knowledgeable, communicative, efficient, friendly and caring. I left with a diagnosis and an expectation of what to expect over the next few weeks. I could not have asked for better or more professional service. This is the third time over the past 7 years, someone in my family has been treated by Dr. Rhoades for 3 different shoulder problems, and every experience has been superb, effective and efficient.

I had knee surgery performed by Dr. Rhoades. The experience from the office visits, to having surgery has problem free. I would recommend Dr. Rhoades and his office staff.

Dr. Rhoades did a great job explaining my options for ACL surgery and gave me plenty of time to decide which option was best for me. The pre and post op teams made sure I had everything I needed to make my recovery as easy as possible. The only negative part of the experience was it took a while to get in to surgery, but not due to lack of availability from Dr. Rhoades, but because it took a while for my insurance provider (United) to approve the procedure. Follow up care is not super engaging, you have to bring up questions and concerns yourself

My appt was to see Dr Rhoades but his PA, Eric, was the primary person who talked with me. Didn’t come to the clinic to see a PA. Eric was good but a bit quick to conclude what my issue was with my right hand & lower arm going to sleep while I ride my bicycle.Dr. Rhoades came in the room “to say Hi.”

The visit went smoothly, was efficient, ran on time. At first, was not expecting to see the PA, but then saw how he did the introduction portion of the visit, collaborated with Dr. Rhoades and then both of them came back into the room and I could discuss things with both of them. It actually worked well.

Dr. Rhoades did a major shoulder repair in Feb 1018. He did a repair on his left shoulder Oct 2019. Both surgeries were a success.Dr Rhoades is an excellent surgeon with years of experienceBedside and office manners are excellent. He is very pleasant to work with.Highly recommend him and the staff of Dickson-Diveley.The surgery was performed at Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute in Leawood, Kansas. The staff at that facility is excellent. Very personable and professional.If you need any orthopaedic work done, these are the two places to have it done.Highly recommend Dr. Rhoades!!

This was my first appointment with Dr. Rhoades, though he fixed my wifes shoulder in the past. I was impressed with his friendliness, professionalism and sense of humor so hes the one I chose to see for my own shoulder injury.I had a morning appointment and barely had time to fill out the new patient paperwork before they called me in, and again barely had time to get comfortable before Dr. Rhoades came in to see me. He said it wont always work out that fast but I did appreciate his promptness.I needed X-rays and appreciated that they could do them right there. After seeing me, Dr. Rhoades set me up for an MRI, which is set for a mere 3 working days from my original appointment, and which once again I can do right there at his location.So far I am very pleased with Dr. Rhoades and his staff and I highly recommend him to others. And No, he did not pay me to say this! :-)

Dr.Rhoades is great, he diagnosed my husbands knee issue quickly and accurately . We had seen another doctor who said he had a sprain and wanted him to take meds and wait to see if it got better. That was not good enough for my husband he had been in severe pain for months, we were not going to wait any longer. I contacted my Dr. Dr. Divelbiss and ask for a suggestion he recommends Dr. Rhoades. We contacted him he saw us right away and my husbands knee which had a deep tear in his meningitis , not a sprain. He operated and the rest is history. I would highly recommend Dr. Rhoades to anyone who wants a professional ,no nonsense doctor who has great skills with terrific results Dr. Rhoades is your doctor.

Had Rotator Cuff surgery December 2019. KCOI group and Dr. Rhoades did a great job. I battled pain for a year and a half before surgery, and now pain free.

Im giving Dr. Rhoades 5 stars because he listened to me and actually helped me understand whats wrong with my knee. He was super nice and informative.I do wish the support staff was more informative. I didnt receive an visit summary, clinical notes, any checkout papers or info about the patient portal. So I have nothing to refer back to. When I called to ask about something like this the office lady told me that didnt hand out anything like that after appointments.All in all the facility was very nice and clean, the xray tech was friendly, and Dr Rhoades was great!

This experience with Dr. Rhoades couldnt of been better. I had my rotator cuff repaired and only needed pain killers for 3 days.

I went to him with a jacked up shoulder injury. He made sure I had a specific physical therapy to help and then we had plans for the future if that didnt help. Hes very professional and educational about everything. I highly recommend him for anyone. Absolutely incredible man who doesnt care about the money but cares more about the patient and their needs to get them better.

Dr. Rhodes and his assistant were very friendly and informative and although little was actually needed to be done, I left feeling 10 times better.

This is a machine. It’s design isn’t medicine, or health, or recovery. It’s design is grift. I paid over a $1000.00 for less than two minutes of a doctor visit who was detached from the experience. I paid this amount and a month later I am no closer to recovery than I was before the visit.This isn’t worth the trouble. You can get better health care from a walk-in clinic.

Overall, I was very unhappy with the process at this clinic and with Dr. Rhoades. The paperwork process was very cumbersome and had to be done multiple times (once at each visit). The staff also appears to be very disorganized.I had an MRI done and was called two days later with the results: a PCL tear and tibial fissure. When I went in for the appointment with Dr. Rhoades, not only was the wait time horrible, but their report mentioned nothing of a PCL tear - only MCL damage. The report was very short, and I wasnt allowed to see the radiologists report first-hand. The resident doctor kept closing the folder and turning it away. However, when I requested all of my records to get a second opinion from another physician, the report was more than a page, and outlined a PCL tear, just as the radiologist told me via the phone. To add insult to injury, I requested that the records be sent directly to another clinic. When they failed to send them, I went to obtain them myself and was charged a fee.I will not be seeing Dr. Rhoades or anyone in the practice again.

Excellent care. Everything was explained prior to surgery and then on follow up. No surprises at all. Staff was wonderful from the start.

The doctor was fine, but the payment policy is ridiculous. They make you sign a form agreeing to allow them to automatically charge your credit card for any and all fees not covered by insurance. Excuse me? What about billing errors? Overcharges? It happens all the time. So now I have to monitor my credit card to make sure they are not putting charges on there that dont belong?? As I said, the doctor was fine, but I will not be back.

Its been 1 week. There has been no follow up-no scheduling of the MRI that I was told I needed. When Ive called and ask Ive been disconnected, when I finally get through, to a scheduler. Im frustrated and in pain.If I could of given 0 stars I would have.
