I have seen Dr. Wingerter twice for injections to both knees. Today he answered all my questions concerning the option for knee replacement. He explained things thoroughly and never rushed through his answers. I am seriously considering it. But I have decided that if I do it, I want him to perform the surgery.

This was my left hip replacement. Sadly he wasn’t the first doctor I saw for my Work’s comp claim and while others wanted to release me back to work without fixing the problem; thankfully he was the last doctor I got to see but he found the issue and fixed it. Dr Wingerter operated on my hip, and did a wonderful job. I went from being in constant pain, and now being 13 weeks out- no pain at all. I can run again, move without pain, and sleep! Very happy with my results.

I have to say you don’t find as many Doctor Offices as friendly as this one. They are very friendly and make you feel like a person not a number. Dr. Wingerter and his Nurse Kim are awesome. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. If I have to have my left hip replaced in the future and I’m still living in Missouri I will definitely be going back to Dr. Wingerter. He has does an awesome job on my right hip. The only thing I would do differently is I would go to his Leawood Clinic to have it done instead of the St. Luke’s Hospital on the plaza.

First time in a long time that I instantly liked a new doctor. He was easy to talk to and explained things well. Ive been twice now and my opinion remains the same. Office staff great as well. If you have a bum knee I highly recommend him.

The x-ray tech was friendly and professional. The NP was quick and polite. Dr. Wingerter and his student were polite and efficient. Everything was fine until I heard the staff outside of my patient room talking and joking about a separate issue that I was having which showed up on my mri results. An issue that has been preventing me from having another child. So, as a patient it was incredibly hurtful and infuriating.As a professional who also works in healthcare, I was surprised at the lack of discretion and professionalism. It was my first and last visit.

From start to finish everything was top notch. Every person associated with my care or we came in contact with was friendly, caring, professional and knowledgeable. The hospital was clean, sleek and had all the modern and technological conveniences. I was very comfortable! The food was even good! 😁 a shout-out to the Nurses and P.T. They were amazing.

I am very pleased with my knee surgery and hospital care done this June. The entire staff was extremely helpful and available whenever there were any questions. It is amazing how quickly one can begin to be mobile again and look forward to being relieved of longtime knee pain.

Dr. Wingerter listens and he is very considerate. I was scheduled for a right knee replacement but within two months of that surgery I tore my left medial meniscus. He found time to get me into surgery to fix my left knee before my right knee replacement and 6 months later I was out gardening and riding my motorcycle pain free. His team is awesome also. I suffered hip hip pain for six or seven years. Say some great reviews on Dr Scott Wingerter so set up an appointment. Dr Wingerter has a confident demeanor the makes you feel comfortable from the onset.My total hip replacement went perfect, the surgical staff as well as recovery staff were professional and accommodating. It has been almost eight week now an I am walking almost a mile and I am 75 years old. Most important aspect of the surgery is that I had basically no pain, Took Tramadol in the hospital and first two days at home then stopped and have been on aspirin twice a day since, now only when needed. I cant thank Dr Scott enough for his professional expertise that made my surgery a success. I will definitely be back when it is time for my right hip to be taken care of.

Probably about the best first time health appointment ever! They were obeying all safety precautions for Covid. Paperwork was done in advance so I didnt have to deal with that when I got there. Got into see the Doctor before my scheduled time. Was in and out in nowtime and Dr Wingerter was very professional and solved my problem. Other medical offices have alot of catching up to be this good.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Wingerter. I had previously had a steroid shot to my concerned knee and will need to wait an additional 2 weeks per Dr. Wingerter (per current insurance) before we proceed. To reduce inflammation Dr. Wingerter mentioned the use of turmeric (1000mg with pepper) as and anti inflammatory in place of other options. That clients have indicated positive results using turmeric with inflammation and not upsetting stomach. I’ve tried it with great success with other issues that I have; some with the knee. My knee is still of issue and will need to reschedule a follow up appointment to proceed with treatment. At this point in time I cannot provide a more accurate assessment.

A hurried atmosphere.45 minutes in an exam room waiting on the physician is too much for a knee injection. Dr. Wingerter is a pleasant physician who demonstrates a nonsurgical approach as a first treatment.

Dr. Wingerter has replaced my left knee and now has done a partial replacement of my right knee. Both surgeries went smoothly, absolutely no complications. The surgery center at KCOI is top notch and the rooms are so comfortable and clean. The meals are awesome and the nurses are great. The physical therapist was the best I have ever had, honestly! I just can’t say enough good about this facility and these Doctors.

An experience executed way beyond expectations. Both hips needed revision surgery which, in itself, was a horrible thought. It had to be done, and Dr. Wingerter was the right Dr. to do it. The fact that I just completed (6/10/19) my fourth joint replacement with Dr. Wingerter in approximately five years should speak for itself. He has replaced both of my knees and both of my hips. I have had no problems with any of the surgeries nor rehab following surgery. I have recommended him to a number of my friends who have had problems with joint replacements performed by other surgeons.

My wife and I have had a combined FIVE hip replacement/revision surgeries so when we moved to KCMO a few years ago we had a pretty good idea what we were looking for in the way of an orthopedic surgeon. I had my right hip replaced by Dr Wingerter on 11/1/19, and I am still in disbelief at what a wonderful job he did. I am now free of pain and only wished someone had said hip replacement was what I needed sooner! Learning how to now walk without a limp seems more difficult than the surgery. I’ve been limping for so long. Physical therapy is helping me do this.I highly recommend Dr Wingerter, even though his name is difficult to pronounce at first.
