I cant give enough praise to this wonderful Doctor I broke my kneecap in October and had to have a full knee replacement in February, but had previously had a meniscus tear and 2 ACLs done on the same knee. He fixed me up and continues to monitor my healing process. He is a caring and compassionate man and the scar from my surgery while noticeable, is not an eyesore. The facility where surgeries are performed is awesome as well. Great nurses, support staff and food! If I ever need an orthopedic surgeon again, I would not go anywhere else!

Dr. Kirk McCullough is a miracle worker! When my daughter injured her ankle in competitive gymnastics, we were certain it was a career-ending injury. Dr. McCullough assured us she could come back and make a full recovery. Our daughter did, indeed, make a fill recovery and is now a collegiate gymnast in the SEC. Thank you, Dr. McCullough!!

Due to an old cheer injury over 5 years ago, I’ve been dealing with shoulder pain and instability. After 2 previous surgeries by other orthopedic surgeons that were unsuccessful, I had pretty much given up hope. In conversation with several people, Dr. McCullough came highly recommend and I scheduled an appt. Dr. McCullough operated on my shoulder just over 5 months ago and I’ve never felt better. Dr. McCullough is honest and compassionate, I would trust him to operate on any of my loved ones. I’m extremely grateful for Dr. McCullough and the outstanding care he provided me.

Great Doctor. Very kind and caring. Wish it was easier and quicker to get in for some things but he is popular. I wouldn’t go elsewhere.

I was an SEC Champion, I was a National Champion, I was an elite level collegiate athlete... and then I had a career ending injury...After I broke my foot, i went all around the country looking for the most qualified doctors. I was living in Texas at the time. The university surgeon was sure that he could fix the problem. However, I was not convinced that he could handle this. (having seen another team mates career end after this same surgery). We searched and asked everybody we knew for recommendations and somehow we found our way back up to Kansas City. The team and I shopped around looking for doctors and then I met Dr. McCullough. He was SO MUCH BETTER compared to every other surgeon we had met (I had traveled to Texas, Oklahoma City & Finally Kansas City). He changed the game. He we enthusiastic, a total go getter, and he made me excited to have the surgery. Not to mention, he too was a college athlete and understood what was going through my psyche as an athlete. Above all else, he was the most confident. Not only was the surgery a success, I was able to finish my last season with little issues. He stayed very close with me, answering every question, staying in constant contact with the doctors at Texas A&M University. I do not think you can find a doctor that cares and understand his athletes more than Dr. Kirk. He goes above and beyond in all aspects of his job. I am very lucky to have found him.

My experience with Dr. McCullough has made my foot surgery and recovery go very smoothly. I came to him from out of state by a recommendation from my head athletic trainer. I was in a very tough situation because I was receiving interest from NFL teams and I was just not in the right state of mind because I had to get surgery and miss the draft, mini camp, and I am going to miss training camp. I can tell you this though, Dr. McCullough has been by my side the whole road to recovery since I left his surgery room. He will go the extra mile to make sure you are on top of your recovery by staying in contact with you and he is always available for questions. I would highly recommend him to anyone not just athletes because he is a great doctor, but an even better person.

Kirk is great! Tells you the honest truth and doesnt give you the run around. Great personality as well, not like other doctors with a massive ego. Hes there to help you get better!

Dr. McCullough helped me a lot with two complicated surgeries. He has done a great job at explaining the situation to me, and at being available to me during the whole process of recovery. Being a college athlete, these surgeries were crucial to me, and I’m grateful Dr. McCullough was the one in charge. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know!

Best Doc hands down for Sports Orthopedic injuries. Knowledgable, Patient, Genuine and doesnt mind questions. Believes in rehab and methods to help get you back in the game without relying on surgery as an automatic solution.

I am so happy a friend referred me to Dr. McCullough, I broke my Fibula in a freak accident in the home and he was very thorough with all of my options. We elected for surgery where he used a plate and screws. After 7 weeks of crutches I am walking again, (there still is rehab)! His staff was also great at following up and returning calls.

Dr. McCullough has treated my foot and shoulder injuries over the last 2 years. A great listener, I left feeling like he knew everything he needed to, and he explained why he made his recommendations. Obviously I returned for my next injury and would recommend Dr. McCullough to anyone!
