In the Lancaster area, when you hear the name Conestoga View, there has always been a negative connotation associated with the facility in this area. The first several years my grandmother had spent there my family was pleasantly surprised with how well she had been cared for and how much she really enjoyed her time there. There were many socialization activities and my grandmother was heavily involved and happy. The reason for my negative review is because of the poor handling of the pandemic in this facility, particularly one incident recently. As a nurse, I can understand how hard the work that the staff do is there, especially in a pandemic. We were fortunate that my grandmother was able to receive the vaccine shortly after the rollout, but only last week did we find out we can finally schedule a visit with her after over a year.During these visitations, they are not allowing children under the age of 3. In December, my sister had the first great grand baby in my family. When she called to ask if she can bring her nursing baby to meet my grandmother for the first time during her visit, she was told they would not make any exceptions. My sister lives over an hour away and in the time that it would take her to drive to Conestoga View and back to her child that is entirely too long for the baby to go without nursing. The fact that we dont know if and when my grandmother will be allowed to leave the facility to visit family again is really upsetting. She is in a nursing home for a reason and she may never get to meet her great grand baby and that is extremely sad and disappointing. Not only for my grandmother, but for the other grandparents living in this institution. I do not understand why a nursing infant cannot come with its mother to visit family. There is no good reason.Another extremely frustrating thing happening at this institution is that they are allowing employees and residents to refuse the vaccine. I understand we live in a free country and that we all have rights to do what we want with our bodies, but it is hurting the extremely fragile people around them. They have had way to many deaths from this already and my grandmother has lost so many of her friends to the virus. There continues to be outbreaks at this facility among those who are not vaccinated. Most recently a staff member reintroduced this virus to the facility and our scheduled appointment to see my grandmother was cancelled. The caregivers and residents need to protect these vulnerable people and get vaccinated. If I had one word to summarize how I feel about this facility it would be, disappointed.

So new covid rules, you can now take a resident out and bring them back. But still not allowed in this facility. What is it your hiding not letting family on the floors. New Owner?

Conestoga View (Lancaster Rehabilitation and Nursing) treats their patients like they are in a jail. We brought my Nan Nan a fountain soda and they would not let us give it to her. She is in need of nursing not a freaking inmate. THIS IS BS!

Not sure what Angela is talking about, and her review is so unfair. My dear friend age 60 arrived there with a stroke just one month ago. He is very ill with limited resources, but, they care for him well, and are kind and considerate people. No, it’s not a glamorous home, but, it’s clean, and the patients are well cared for.My mom was in one of those fancy homes. She received excellent care, but, her out of pocket bill was $240,000 for a little less then 2 years. If you don’t have the resources, believe me, the care here is just fine. They have improved greatly over the years!

This was an extraordinary place to care for your loved ones. The care was exceptional and the nurses, aides and financial office was exceptional and met our needs. Jenn the supervisor of the 5 th floor was a good listener and bent over backwards to met my needs as well. It was the first time having to encounter a new home and it was a wonderful fit. Thanks to all the staff and may you keep the up beat personality of the nursing home.

The place smells horrible and the rooms are tremendously dirty. Our son is always texting us to call the nurses there because they don’t answer the call bell. You have to have a heart of compassion and love for people that are in need because they physically cant do it for themselves and if you can’t do it that way then please don’t work in this profession. I don’t recommend this place for loved ones. We’re gonna try and see what are our other option of care for our son.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is horrific in their treatment of both patients and their families. My aunt had staples removed from her head, that resulted in some blood dripping down after the fact. Several days later, the blood was still there. Finally, after a weeks time and asking more than once that she be cleaned, we had to ask for supplies to do it ourselves. Her right side was completely paralyzed, yet they would put her cup of water on the right side of her; she literally guzzled water every time we came to visit and offered her a drink. It was heartbreaking to see the level of neglect she suffered there. We decided to take her out after seeing this, and they gave us the hardest time, using unfounded, false information to threaten and scare us. Thank goodness for other healthcare professionals that helped us navigate our way out of there! Weve also filed a complaint through the state - it was that bad.

Keep your loved ones away! Unprofessional, dishonest & inattentive. Far more concerned about raking in the $$$ than providing quality care and rehabilitation for their patients. Building conditions are abysmal, they take ZERO responsibility for mistakes & instead promote a culture of lying, and patients are ignored and left waiting for assistance for hours in unacceptable conditions -- and yes, HOURS. Their treatment of patients, as well as their personal caregivers (spouses, etc.) is horrendous even after numerous discussions, complaints & grievances filed. Extremely disappointed.

First time today ,went to see my father. The room is shared with 3 other roommates. The room did not look clean at all. My father said when he has to go to the bathroom , no one comes to help him, so he pees the bed. The only person who was friendly was the front desk women and the security guard.
