I brought my 4yr. Old son to the clinic for Covid testing. They took care of him very quickly and sent us home with a prescription ready order at our pharmacy. Great place to have a quick check up done. They are very good with children.

Had great, quick, and very friendly service there this evening. I did not get my results in a timely manor, as promised though. Would still use this urgent care again in the future. Just be warned that you may not get your results as quickly as they say.

My second time to the clinic. Professional, smooth registration, helpful staff and very compassionate Dr. Not only what I seen quickly as a walk in and a busy waiting room, Dr. expressed concern, understanding and encouragement. So much appreciated after days of suffering! I can’t thank them enough. I will return.

The staff was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The facility was also kept clean and within the covid guidelines.

Went in for a covid 19 test, seen within 10 minutes of being there, and when I left after a minute of the swab, 20 minutes later I recieved my negative results 🙌 the staff was nice and efficient. Over all , a great medical facility in Jacksonville/ orange park area.

Even on a Saturday afternoon, we had a very short wait time. The nurse and NP were in the room within minutes. They were very sweet and kind to my 4 year old. The nurse took her time to explain the tools she needed to use & what they were for, it really kept my daughter so calm. They were quick with diagnosis too! 10/10 all around

I had a great experience here. They were quick and efficient even as a walk-in patient. No judgement of my symptoms. Got me in and out in less than an hour. This was a much better experience than other urgent care facilities I’ve been too. Thank you for the excellent care!

Im a repeat patient at the Oak Leaf location. The entire staff are always warm and caring. Ive had severe sinus pressure and headaches for almost 2 week so I went and saw Natasha, Nurse Practitioner, today and after thorough exam, I presented with sinus and ear infection. She prescribed antibiotic and steroid therapies. Thank you all for your great care

Every visit to this medical facility has been wonderful over the years. They’re more convenient and accessible when moderate care is needed and getting into your primary seems like an eternity away.The staff and the PA’s here are friendly, knowledgeable and always take the time to listen carefully before assessing.I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. If it was possible, I’d make them my primary.

I’ve been going to Avevina Medical for about 7 years and have always received great care there!! Even though I have a primary care physician, I come because I I know the PA’s and NP’s are the best- Dr Mike is my all time favorite-caring,professional and takes time to listen!!

The wait was very long, but that is to be expected. The facility was clean and organized. The doctor who came in to see my son was WONDERFUL!!! My son was nervous and the doctor went above and beyond to engage him and help him feel comfortable.

I visited this urgent care first time for skin issues.Stuff were all very nice. Especially Doctor was really nice. I liked him more than my primary care doctor.

Overall I had a pleasant experience front the front to the back of the house. Everybody provided great customer service and was extremely pleasant to deal with. I do appreciate the front office assisting me with streamlining the checkin process especially being that I didn’t have my actual card but all the card information.

This office is wonderful. All of the staff are very friendly. I only had a short wait before being taken back for the usual vitals, etc. Rita was very nice and efficient. Mike, the PA who saw me, was very friendly and made me feel cared for. Start to finish, everyone was helpful, friendly and efficient.

My appointment wasnt until 9:30 am, I got there around 8:50 am and was seen before my appointment time. Staff’s were friendly and fast.

My daughter and I had a great experience here. The receptionists were kind and professional. The medical staff was incredibly knowledgeable. My daughter’s medical needs were diagnosed quickly with medication being prescribed. It was an overall wonderful experience.Whenever I take my daughter to our primary care office, we’re there for at least two hours. It takes so long to get the care we need. This office blew me out of the water with their level of care as well as the time we spent there. We were probably there about 30 minutes. I’m so thankful that it was a quick visit without sacrificing quality medical care.

Ive visited the Oakleaf location twice for me and several times for my son for school / ROTC physicals. Each visit, no matter how busy they were, I was greeted by friendly ladies at the counter. On my most recent visit 9/10/21, I was surprised at how quickly they were seeing walk-in patients considering the number of people with appointments for COVID tests. The P.A. I saw for both of my visits was Michael Kight. He was very attentive and quick to diagnose my problem and has a great bedside manner. The entire staff at the Oakleaf office does a great job. Unless I have an issue that requires a visit to the hospital, Ill only consider Avecina Oakleaf.

Went in for a covid test and they were great with my child. Doctor had wonderful bedside manners. Office was clean and we didnt have to wait very long.

We were on our way to Rome Italy and found out the PCR test we took would not have results in time for our flight. We called and made our appointments on line. Staff was great we were early and they worked us in, we had our results in less than an hour. We are off to our 30th anniversary cruise. Wonderful experience.

Np Natasha& Medical Assistant Crystal were very professional. I was scared and hesitant due to covid & the number of patients in the waiting room. This urgent care is not your Typical urgent care they got me in and out in no time the lobby was cleared out extremely fast service was great I highly recommend I would come again.

What are the reason for appointments if y’all won’t respect it. I had an appointment for 10:15am. At 11:30am no one had come to me to say anything. People kept coming and the more people showing up the more they fell behind. Both girls were rude too. I finally got up went to ask for them to tell me that there was still 5 people ahead of me. An hour later from my appointment time? I find that very disrespectful.Don’t say or brag in the news about serving by appointments when you don’t meet your own standards of service

Great staff and friendly. In these covid times they can be overwhelmed but they keep doing their best which is definitely over top. Front staff to the Dr are all very pleasant.

This place is a joke. The ladies at the desk are rude and the doctors have missed diagnosed me twice. Said I had Tonsillitis when I knew I had strep. Called them and said I wasnt getting any better after a few days on meds. They asked me to come back in for a strep test and said there would be no charge. They lied and billed my insurance anyways. Do not recommend

From the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out I was well taken care of. Everyone was super nice and caring. I felt well taken care of and thought all the bases were covered to make sure nothing was left unchecked. I will definitely go back for my next time I am in need of emergency medical care.

I went into get a COVID-19 test, not many people were wearing masks… the ones that were weren’t wearing them properly… masking was not enforced at all. I arrived 40 minutes early but was seen 30 minutes later, when they called me in they were engaged in personal conversation instead of letting me in right away. After the test I got a call from them stating I will be refunded my money after assuming I did a review prior. I discovered my partner wrote one, I should not have to suffer the consequences of a factual description of care.

This office is not taking patients walking in with Covid symptoms. They are advertising the wrong info online. You have to make the appointment online so dont waste your time stopping by if you have any cold symptoms. I went to the hospital next door, Baptist health and it was the best experience I had at an emergency care facility.

Went in today after not feeling the best to get tested. Both the ladies in the front, the nurse practitioner and the doctor I had were super kind, and very professional. It did take awhile to get seen (however I was a walk in and there were others there before me.) but they got me seen as quickly as they could and made me feel comfortable. I was nervous-due to the fact that I have gone to other clinics in the past that take HOURS, rude staff, and a filthy work area. This was the exact opposite. Anyone needing assistance, you should always feel comfortable here they were great.

From the front desk receptionist to the staff (nurses and doctors) in the back, everyone was extremely friendly, prompt, and acted as if they genuinely cared for me while I was in the office this morning. I will definitely be choosing Avecina for mine and my families urgent care needs in the future!

I went in to get my daughter a sports physical. The office staff was really busy but friendly. The provider that evaluated my daughter was one of the friendliest providers that I’ve ever saw in my life.

In & out pretty quick. Problem diagnosed & pain relieved. Could not ask for more.

The professional and caring, compassionate staff and Dr.’s was amazing, also little wait time as you had to schedule an appointment.

This was the worse place ever to be seen for any reason. I checked in this afternoon for a COVID test and not only was I still waiting 2 hours later but I was never told about the two hour wait time. Patients came in after me and was seen before me. The staff do not have a system in place to take Patients as they come in and the answer when asked is oh well it depends on who checked you in and who was able to put the chart up first. The front desk staff is rude and really need customer service training to say the least. I was finally seen and told to call back at 1930 if I hadnt received my results by then so I did just that only to stay on hold for 19 minutes to then be hung up on. I callback and the young receptionist stated that she thought our phone call was done even though she never came back to the phone to speak with me. I am truly disappointed in the Oakleaf Avecina location and will not be visiting that location again. I again have never received such poor customer service in all my adult life. Please do not patronize this company/location ever.

The providers are excellent we had PA Knight he is great with kids. Really patient but quick. He gets in there level and their own comfort zone. Highly recommended. He even tried a little Spanish with us. 🙂

After going to another urgent care in Middleburg, and not only seeing the super long wait but noticing that our presence was not even mentioned. I left and went to Avecina urgent care in Oakleaf. What a difference!! We were greeted and seen very quickly. Both the nurse and pa were super nice. My daughter even said I like him. He was super nice If we need the Urgent Care again, we will be back.

I went in with headaches and ear pain Id been enduring for many months. And as I suspected I had a chunk of cotton from a q-tip stuck in my ear. They told me their pricing and saw me within 5 minutes. They flushed out my ear painlessly and took out the cotton along with the built up earwax. I wish i had gone sooner. Friendly, polite, and fair pricing. Thank you 🙏 .

My experience was more than awesome my appointment was schedule at Julington Creek in error its should have been Oakleaf area. But the Oakleaf Avecina honored my appointment and allow me to be seen there instead.

My son wasnt feeling well and we always come to Avecina its so quick and easy..and my son and I like the staff very Much..! We seen Miss Jen this time and she was very polite and welcoming being new to the staff. I was very pleased with our visit and the outcome my son is feeling much better and she took time to ask many questions needed and helped us evaluate his condition quickly.. Definitely recommend her!

Avencina (Tinseltown) is my go to urgent care facility and I’ve never had a bad experience; today was no exception. Staff was friendly, quick, and very accommodating to children. We really appreciate all of those things.

My wife just find a job online with them and after 2 days of training and gave her a booklet for policy to read and make a photocopy of it outside, she arrived 3rd day in the morning for work, she got shocked with unfriendly text messages from Practice Administrator at Avecina Medical that she out of job without any reason even though my wife asked about whats happened and they didnt get her an answer. Rude people and no evidence of evaluation performance which it should be at least a few days or months before fired her. Bad experience. She never recommended it to anyone else for work. The owner just replied on this and said my wife has no experience with medical field which not true at all . They just wanted to write this to cover their mistakes. Poor management.

We have been to Avecina several times and each time is been a great experience. The staff is very nice and polite and the Doctor is great. I recommended 100%.

I have had asthma since I was a toddler. I went into Avecina when my asthma was flaring up to get a steroid shot and albuterol for my nebulizer and they refused to see me because “wheezing is a covid symptom.” I don’t have covid nor any symptoms, I simply have asthma. I was told to go to the ER (where they have 5+ hour wait times) or “google another urgent care” I found a Teledoc service online and will never go here again.

Everyone one was nice and helpful, very professional. I was in and out with hardly no wait time. Nice clean and friendly environment

Walked in at 145 for a Rapid Test. The overzealous front desk receptionist couldn’t even finish her greeting without smiling as she replies we aren’t taking anymore patience. How about you give the same energy and patience that first patient of the day received to the overly tired and exhausted pregnant woman that needed your help that you couldn’t see.

I took my partner to get tested for Covid-19 at this location. My partner was charged before services $150. It was not until he provided insurance that they partially refunded the amount. They kept $5 as a reservation cost for a 3PM appointment that was not honored. They do not enforce masks for safety, nor do they maintain social distance for patients. I have witnessed many go in and out without masks, and some wearing the mask below their nose or mouth. I work in two hospitals, for a medical center to be so careless is offensive. They should be ashamed for being such cowards as to not insist on masks while testing for Covid-19. It is the recommended course for all medical providers, at the very least. I am considering more than just writing this review. My partner was called and told that his test would not be run after they saw this review. I returned to verify this was the case. I was told to leave without any clarification. Then they called him to get his financial verification again.... A complete mess.

Dr answered all my stupid questions and was patient and empathetic. Very kind and helpful.

I’ve been here a few times but the past two visits have been extensive. My appt was at 9:15am I arrived 10mins early, I didn’t get my paperwork registered until 10am, and I sat in the back after my Covid test was done for an additional 30mins. The staff needs better time management.

Went in for a rapid covid test but also got to see the physician assistant. After him listening to me talk about how long my symptoms were going on, he didn’t think it was covid. Did some lab work and he found the real reason for my symptoms. I was blessed that this PA actually listened and didn’t push me aside as another person freaked out about covid. Needless to say, covid result was negative. Thank you for making me feel welcome!!!!

They were so amazing today when I went in there and I couldnt breathe because I was having allergic reaction. I was panicked and having an anxiety attack on top of that, from not being able to breathe. They were so amazing and treated me with kindness and compassion. They got me back there and gave me a shot and talked to me about what was going on and the solution. You dont find that often where doctorss, nurses and the front staff all have amazing bedside manner. I immediately felt safe and I knew that I was going to be okay. Now Im in my bed resting and on the road to recovery with my prescriptions that were ready by the time I got to Publix. Im not sure if he asked them to have those ready but they were ready none the less. Thank you again so much Avecina.🙏❤️🙏

This place is phenomenal! They are so welcoming. When they found out it was my sons 5th birthday and he was there for ear aches and fevers they felt so bad and had balloons in the room for him and even printed out a birthday card wishing him well. I highly recommend Avecina medical in oakleaf.

After my daughter’s Primary Care could not fit her in, with symptoms of sore throat, and fever. I took my daughter to Avecina In Oakleaf. The Physician Assistant was amazing! Front desk young lady my daughter remembered from her school, was also amazing. Thank you! When your child is ill it was a relief to see a Physician who cares.

Wonderful experience. I’ve come two days in a row for my leg, and Ayla in the front office was very friendly and helpful and made the process smooth. Quick and amazing care, will definitely be returning for all my injuries from now.

Was the first one at the door at 6 am...Was told to be the first one here to get speedy service but ended up being cut in line by 30 people and was told that is the way it goes.Not enough physicians to test patients and overwhelmed staff..This place makes you realize covid is all about money and not the health of people.Do yourself a favor..Take a trip to the minute clinic at your nearest CVS or Walgreens and get a covid test for free even without insurance.Avencia charges 125$ for the same free test they provide.What a joke.

My first time at Avecina. From the front desk staff to the PA - a professionally managed operation. My wait time was minimal and I was in/out in less than one hour. Although I was misdiagnosed, the prescriptions were effective regardless. The misdiagnosis was not a competency issue, it was most likely due to lacking symptoms at the time of the visit. I would not hesitate to return.

Coming there as a patient to be seen I was taking back from the quality of service that I received which was excellent. Have gone to Avecina Medical Oakleaf several times. My experience has always been great. Staff is very friendly. They are always very cognizant of keeping your personal information personal. They ask you questions in a whisper tone. With the exception of one time, they make sure to call you to the back within a reasonable time of your appointment schedule. If they are running behind, they make you aware at check in. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends

My primary physician would not treat my family and I during Covid. Dr. Mike and his staff we’re wonderful. They helped us in a great time of need. So thankful for their help.

I visited Avecina Oakleaf Office last Tuesday May 4th with a foot infection after they told me that they could give me an IV bag of Antibiotics. Of course when I got there they told they could not which I was fine with. I needed someone to look at my foot. Which they did and Prescribed me a 7 days of Antibiotics. My foot was doing much better however I needed another round of Antibiotics and called them on May 11th explaining to them my foot was much better and would they call in more Antibiotics to my Pharmacy just to ensure complete healing of the infection. They said since my foot was not better I would have to come in to see the Dr. I told the lady that my foot as better and she said I would still have to come in and PAY AGAIN since I already paid them $250.00 for the initial visit and didnt have another $250.00 for a office visit to get more Antibiotics she didnt care. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE JUST MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not see how people can live with themselves when they say our goal is for your proper and compete healingThank you for responding my name is Kibby not Kirby and like I stated earlier I told the lady who answered the phone that my foot was much BETTER and just wanted to continue with some more Antibiotics to complete the healing process

I called the facility to inquire about COVID 19 testing and I spoke with Luana and I was really confused of the different test and which one I should take for my travel. Luana, went above and beyond to check the Embassys website to find out which test I need to take and advised me which one I needed to take. With everything going on with the pandemic, much people arent showing empathy but Luana at Avecina went out of her way to help me. Now that is what you call customer service and showing empathy. Thank you very much, Luana!
