Update: I returned and the manager took care of everything I left satisfied. …….I just got my nails done yesterday and the polish is already chipping (see photo). The prices are very expensive. The technician also cut me (see photo) multiple times because she was rushing and moving too fast. Also, I was charged for shellac/gel polish but the technician used regular black nail polish to paint the tip and then she used a gel top coat. I had a terrible experience.

The salon is clean and the technicians are talented. However, the front desk staff need better training and management needs to take more accountability. During the entire two or three years Ive been going there, there is always a discrepancy between what Im told over the phone and what Im told when I arrive at the salon. The worst part of it all is there is never an apology and management never attempts to make the situation right. Most recently, yesterday, I called about my chipping gel manicure. The person who answered the phone looked up my account and told me a manager would call me back. After nearly three hours passing and no call from the manager, I called back and was told to come in the next day and the manicure would be fixed. When I arrived this morning, the manager told me there is a 7-day policy for fixing gel manicures and my service had been two weeks ago. I totally understand having policies but I called twice and was never told about anything. I wasted my time going to the salon. Because my nails looked terrible, I asked to have the remaining gel removed. I had to pay for it. Given my experience, it would have been nice to have the service provided for free. Sometimes, businesses have to eat the mistakes made by their employees. This never happens at Secret Escape. What an irresponsible, unprofessional way to run a business.

The good thing about this location is the people were very friendly. I did not have to wait long and it was extremely busy. My brow waxing was very good. My disappointment is they do not have matching colors for your toes. The cost for the packages with gel pedi and mani was 150$ which I feel is too high for the experience. I also did not get the color I requested and when i ask they said it was the same color.

I was a repeat customer here before but the last time I went, the person who did my feet was so nice but didnt do a very good job and ended up cutting me on my big toe. The person who did my eyebrows did one too thin and was plucking for a very long time despite me saying I just wanted a clean up (I dont have thick eyebrows at all). Maybe it was a bad day since it was so many people there.

Nice staff. Fast, efficient. Love discount for medical center employees.My only con is that getting my nails done should be relaxing. I went at 6 pm and it was standing room only. If I go again I want to go at a less busy time. I felt like a number and it was so many ppl it was noisy. Not a spa like environment. This shop is huge and I like smaller more intimate settings.Loan did my dip powder nails and I was pleased. Tianna did my feet. She set the timer to ensure she gave me 15 minute massage on my feet and 10 minutes on my neck and back.Again I love my nails, but I did not enjoy the overall experience because of the amount of people. I will try going late morning or early afternoon to see if I like it better.

Nice clean establishment but don’t let anyone touch my hands if they are not properly trained. I came in to get a simple manicure and left with my hands all cut up. The lady who mishandled my service wasn’t even remorseful.

They were pretty good or average (nothing special or sets them apart), as far as work appearance. They will cause you to bleed or break the skin They could also cause hangnails, and splitting/brittle nail. They do not apply two coats of top coat. You will just have to be sure to watch what they are doing because if you dont they will finish you without completing all the steps for the service and youll end up paying for work you never received. They need more training. The ambience of the facility is very peaceful and nice. They have a wide selection of products and services which is nice. Before going here, I would research what the basics of the service. You need to know what is included.

My family and I have been coming to Secret Escape since the start. Clean, friendly, happy employees and its ALWAYS packed. You know a place is bomb when they are always busy. Its fairly priced - its not cheap because you dont get cheap services. The nail techs are wonderful and I always enjoy my time there.

I’ve been going here off and on for some time, but after meeting Tam, I’ll be loyal. She has excellent customer service and is so attentive. Never have I laughed as much as I did with her! She is so inherently kind and just wants you to enjoy your visit. Definitely my goto person moving forward. Welcome to Houston!! 🤗💜

Ive been here 3 or 4 different times for the Royal Pedicure. The first couple times I had Natalie as the tech. This past time, Tiffany. I cant say enough good about this place!! Excellent service! very friendly staff! extremely clean and sanitary equipment and facilities! I was a little reluctant at first going to a nail salon (I guess a guy thing:)) for a pedicure. However, I was put at ease seeing several other guys there! Always crowded, which goes to the overall quality in services available. I will continue to go here...might even try a manicure next time:).I highly recommend this place!!! Probably best to make an appointment;)

I have been going to secret escape for some time now. When I first started going there my nails would look fabulous and I loved it. Service was great and I never felt like they were rushing to do my nails despite how busy they would get. Unfortunately, after my last experience I will be trying to find another nail salon. The person that did my nails, rushed and I ended up with nails that weren’t cohesively shaped and done sloppy. My thumb nails are not in the correct shape and the powder application top is sub par. I’m not a nail tech by any means but I do know what a good set looks like. So, if you decide to go here, ask for a tech don’t just let them put you with anyone.

I have always had a pleasant experience there. I have found the later in the day I go, the less detail oriented my experience is. Not bad, but just having to point out little stuff. If you dont you leave and notice when it is too late. Besides that, always clean and organized.

The first time I came here I liked it but wasn’t sure if it was going to be my main place. There is a lot going on and I didn’t feel it was super personal although my nails came out really nice. Today I went for my second time a few months later and I love it there now. My nails are so great. Exactly what I asked for and wanted. Tina did them and she was really personable. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Nail tech was extremely rude and wouldn’t do my nails as I requested. I let her know that one of the nail tips that she applied was very crooked and she did not care to correct the error. She simply said dont worry and kept moving forward. I requested a simple crescent tip nail design, and the tech refused to bring the arch down lower as I requested. After going back and forth with her, she gave me a final answer of no and that she would not do as I requested. She completely destroyed my nails by ripping off my previous acrylics (not soaking), she proceeded to drill my natural nails down even further to the point that my nails were no longer white, but now pink/raw. For he next three days my nails hurt to simply touch and I also had to endure that pain when squeezing/grabbing things. After my nails began lifting due to the absence of cuticle removal, I went to another salon to have my nails redone. The next salon had to charge me extra to remove the nails because this salon used illegal MMA instead of acrylic, which is nearly impossible to remove. It took over two hours to safely remove the product from nails and now my nails are completely destroyed and are painful to touch. Please beware and stay far away.

Theres a reason this place is so full all the time, they are efficient and overall great. 28 bucks got me an express pedicure in 30 minutes including wait time as a walk in. The system they have is very quick and efficient. I will definitely be going back here from now on.

Clean. Friendly staff. I’ve had two different nail techs and both were really good. I prefer the second (Jenny) because she did a great job and was also friendly. A little more crowded than I like (one star off for that). But they do have a 20% discount for healthcare workers on Monday-Thursdays. ☺️

Place looks great and did a pretty good job on my nails. My sister and 3 year old daughter also got their nails done.My only issue is that I came in with nails already. Just needed a fill in for my dipped powder nails. When I left my nails where shorter to the point that all of the acrylic nail I had on was gone and my nails were the length of my natural nails....despite i was still charged for a full set with tips instead of the color change I asked for 🤦🏾‍♀️

Absolutely love the service of SE Nail Lounge! They make sure they get exactly what you want and how you want it. They are so kind and always offer refreshments. The place is clean and tidy. Ive recently declined dip service after all the negative news about the unhygienic practices regarding all customers dipping into same dip jar. Im considering bringing my own products and tools.The picture is almost 3 weeks old. That is acrylic powder. Not dip. Those are my nails, no tips.If anyone knows of any other way to protect my nails, let me know.

I was surprising my mom for her 70th birthday! She looks amazing and my pedicure is beautiful!

Three of us went here today for pedicures - we had appointments. Our toes look good enough, hence the 2 stars. The rest of the service was subpar and expensive. First, we weren’t offered drinks, even though they tout that you get free mimosas or drinks, or whatever. Second, I waited 5 minutes after being sat before asking one of the techs to please go find my person so they could start. She did, and I was prepared for everything to start going better. We still werent offered anything to drink, though others in the spa were getting mimosas and drinks all around us.We got 2 “Royal” pedicures and 1 “Paradise” pedicure. All three included shoulder and leg massages. Yall, they should have just left them out altogether. I looked over once while my friend was getting her massage and the guy was leaning against the wall, massaging her neck half-heartedly with one hand. For $185??? Come on. My own massage was terrible and pointless, she got lotion all over my shirt even though I was pulling it down and away from her the whole time - she kept putting one hand ON MY SHOULDER/SHIRT WITH LOTION ON IT!? I had to say, Please try dont get lotion on my shirt? And the leg massage was pointless. She basically just rubbed the top of my legs/shins up and down until her timer went off. She never once touched my calves.They ought not offer these services unless the staff are trained to provide “royal” treatment, or at least something close to what’s paid for. Not that Id go back, but if you go here, just stick to a standard pedicure and dont bother with the upcharged services; theyre not at all worth it.

I have been coming here for a while and each time I go my experience is always different from good to bad. I started to notice that even though they have a price list online they don’t have one inside the nail salon, each time I go the prices change even though I get the same thing regularly which is dip nailsI went last week and they wanted to charge me $90 for the most basic nails !!!! Ladies pay attention to what they charge you. They started to make up prices at this point. And IF prices went up due to covid! They are a business and should update there prices online and have some type of price list inside the store so we can know exactly what they are charging us. After going this past time I’m as really upset the lady who helped me had an attitude the whole time as well. She picked the wrong color that I had initially told her and was upset that she had to remove it, then she cut me, it was a overall awful experience.

I have been going to secret escape for a few years but will stop going after a recent toe nail infection as you can see from the redness on the left side which is very painful. This tells me this place is not cleaning their tools properly.

I usually love coming here. Very clean and quick and well done service. Today was COMPLETELY different. I had to wait nearly an hour. Which I didnt mind that much. The issue was my pedicure. It was done by a lady named Terri. She was VERY rough and did things I am not used too. She did the scraping of the bottom of my feet on dry skin. Practically everything was done on dry skin.My feet barely touched the water. It was a painful experience. I will not be going back there are several other technicians Im sure that are better, but this was literally the worst and most painful pedicure of my life. I only like to write good reviews but I had to this time.

Three weeks later and my powder manicure is fine. But my French tip toes (I’ll spare you the photos) look like a hot mess. Normally my pedicures last me way longer than my manicures. So that’s a little bit of a red flag for me. But I’ll try it again one more time to see how it turns out. I did like the experience. They were quick to get me seated, waxed, and polished. I’ll be back this week. I’ll update if anything majorly different occurs.

While Tam and Claire were AMAZING; the service we received at this sweatshop was HORRIBLE. Although my daughter fell within the age bracket for a kids mani/pedi; they charged her as an adult. The Manager literally pointed to her feet and said shes BIG so we charge her as an adult because its going to take more time (my 5-yr-old cousin received the EXACT same service and they finished at the same time). Then the tech had the audacity to ask me for a bigger tip. Additionally, after paying a total of $175, I asked for a Sprite and was told we dont have that many; didnt you get something to drink while you being serviced? I replied I just paid $175, I should be able to get a Sprite. The cashier rolled her eyes and suggested I ask the hostess (who kindly provided me a drink). This was my first and LAST visit to this place. I left more stressed than when I walked in..Im new to the area and will definitely be taking my money elsewhere.

Got a pedicure here 5 days ago and the paint chipped on one big toe. I went in for a touch up and waited 20 minutes for a touch up. I went to ask how much longer and the girl at reception just ignored me and didn’t say anything. Will take my business elsewhere next time. Waste of a $100 mani pedicure

Me and my fiancé have been looking for a great place for pedicures and have driven from humble to the Katy area in that search. Decided on this place and will most definitely be coming back again and again. Both Binny and Annie were very professional, polite but mainly THE BEST people we have found. On top of the mimosas and the soothing music it’s no wonder this place is called secret escape for a reason. We will be coming back every time!

Kim is very kind and does a great job on my nails every time! She is my favorite nail artist Ive ever had and Im sad that Im moving out of state. I would highly recommend her!

Today was my first time at this shop, as I was searching for a place close to my job at UH. The staff/managers are very friendly and the decor is nice.I went in (no appt) for a refill and pedicure, which took about an hour from entry to exit. I must say that I am extremely pleased with my nails; my pedicure, however, was disappointing. Im giving 4 stars for the service and my GREAT nails. Sophia did an AMAZING job shaping my nails to my liking and painted them so well. My pedicure, though, fell very short of my expectations. Im used to leaving the salon with my feet feeling like silk; this time, I still have callouses and my feet feel really dry. Im going to have to go to my regular place and dish out some more money just to get a pedi thats sandal worthy. There just wasnt much care or detail given to my feet. So I will just come back to get my nails done in the future, and preferably only by Sophia.

Great service!! I usually feel pain and a burning sensation when getting acrylic nails, but i got no burn and no pain. My nails couldve been better if they were smoother and the matte didnt look patchy..I wouldve given them a 5 if it wasnt for those details.

Have been visiting this nail salon for a few years, and its the only place Ill go! They take pride in their work. They expanded, and introduced a new check in service. Tracie, Tram, and Yuna are personal favorites, but they all know their craft.

When I went waiting in line a girl at the front was attending me, then suddenly this very rude man abruptly interrupted her and yelled at her in front of crowd of people. I have never seen a manager so unprofessional treating his employees like that in my life. I will never return .

Not bad. My nail tech could have been more engaging and friendly. He wasnt rude, but not as engaging as other techs I observed. My nails look great, and the complimentary beverages were very nice. My favorite part was the warm relaxation beads/ beans they place around your neck. That felt amazing! However...I still think the price is a bit expensive.

I’ve been here multiple times. The customer service is excellent. Free drinks are offered alcoholic and non. I typically always leave satisfied with there work. When I’m not 100% satisfied they have always obliged and corrected the problem with no argument.

My manicurist did a great job but I wanted a flower and she tried to do it but it was not good so I asked if someone else could and they did and it came out great. I will definitely be back!

Emma and Amy did a great job on my manicure and pedicure. Cuticles were well groomed and color is exactly what I wanted. Amy gave a very relaxing and deep shoulder massage. Emma gave a soothing hot stone massage. Would recommend this place.

I was in the area and decided to stop by. The decor is gorgeous very peaceful environment. I got a shellac manicure on my natural nails. I always shake my nails on my own bc I’m very picky. But Lyn did an amazing job. She still kept my nail shape but made it look professional!

I have been coming here for 3 years and have never had an issue. DO NOT have Lindsey do your nails she will ruin them!!! She missed so many steps when doing my dip manicure and my nails are so short it hurts and were bleeding. Not only are the nails not straight I had to end up filing my own nails because all of them were diagonal. It was extremely busy when I came in which is never an issue but she was rushing so much and made so many mistakes and no one was able to help resolve the issues.

I arrived to my appointment 10 minutes before. They sat my at a booth and I was not greeted nor helped for over 30 minutes. They tried to get me to stay but I’ve been waiting and so many technicians have passed me and they stared at me not helping or greeting me. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

This was my first time here.. When you first come in they take your temperature and sanitize your hands. The service is prompt. I had to wait less than 5 minutes. The place is clean. You are required to wear a mask. They offer beverages; soft drinks, coffee, water and wine. I just got my nails done and I was done in a hour. I will go back.

Make sure to ask about their point system because they will never offer it. Even if you have your receipt from previous purchases ($378 total), they will not add it into the account made. Also, they added points onto a wrong account but they won’t do anything about it.

I really love coming here! I am sad that Travis left but Jenny is a great replacement. And Terri is the best for pedicures she does an awesome job every time and my pedi can last up to five weeks and still look good. Love it

I’ve been coming here for a few years and every time I get good quality service at reasonable prices for the service. I can wear my shellac manicure for 5-7 weeks with very little wear and tear (and I use/wash my hands a lot so that’s saying something). They have lots of color options and are clean. They’re always friendly and even on busy days have timely, professional service. Even though I moved to another part of Houston, I still come here every chance I get because I know I’m going to get quality.
