From the moment I called to ask questions I knew after speaking to William for 5 minutes they would be who we could trust to arrange the final goodbyes to my brother. The amount of kindness, compassion and patience they demonstrated to my family and I is more than I could of expected from a funeral home-also considering not knowing what to expect having never planned a funeral before. They were so very helpful when it came to making decisions and taking care of everything for my brothers funeral. My sister, Dena Daniels, passed away on August 3, 2021. I called Beresford and they took care of everything including picking up my sisters body and storing her for a few days while I waited for my brother to sign some paperwork. She was cremated and they returned her ashes to me promptly. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them!

I came to Beresford Funeral Home Services by way of the two officers who came and helped us when my brother passed away peacefully at his wifes home. They contacted Beresford and my sister-in-law had thought that they contacted another funeral home. First contact was on the phone with Mike who was so nice and polite and very informative of what needed to be done and later that day we came to a 1 pm appointment to sign paperwork. William was the person who took care of me and my sister-in-law. He was very detailed and explained everything to us with a professional service-oriented attitude, actually an expert in the field but made us feel at ease with his simple and clear explanations. We felt so much better since it was a sudden death and had gone to an ordeal prior coming to see them. From that moment on, their services were fantastic. Everyone there was kind: William, Mike and Hunter and including Williams little boy, Liam. He cheered us up with his energy and a big smile. Yesterday we had a funeral visitation and a service. They were very helpful and on duty. It seems their philosophy or motto is anything is possible with can-do mentality. or Ask and it shall be given. I appreciate the excellent communication and attention to detail we received. The prices were very fair and upfront. We were not up-sold or pressured into purchasing more than we wanted to. The building itself is older and smaller but perfect for our needs. The gentleman who handled our service was beyond wonderful and very nice to us. The preparation of my father in law really impressed me, he looked so natural and not overly done, just like he was peacefully sleeping. The service to our family by Chip, William and Mike was responsive and friendly about every matter associated with my Mother’s passage. On top of having by far the most affordable arrangements, the Beresford team were responsive and friendly; they are a jewel in our community serving as only a family could. All involved in the service and arrangements came away with a warm experience in sharp contrast to the possibility of being exploited from big players in the funeral industry.

My wife and I attended a funeral at a country cemetery in early November. The setting and the arrangements struck a chord with us. It was all so serene and comforting. I chatted with the funeral director. We couldn’t have imagined that our son would die just a week later at the age of 43.The prospect of preparing a funeral can be intimidating, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. I researched and made calls to the more widely known funeral homes. Frankly, the cost of their services was scary. Of course, we wanted a nice service, but looking long term, providing for our son’s widow and four children takes priority.I remembered the Beresford name from speaking with the funeral director the previous week. The Beresford website was very clear, and their prices were so much more reasonable than those cited by the big-name funeral homes. Beresford offered prices we could handle.Chip Beresford met with us that Saturday afternoon. Here’s the best part. There are a lot of little details to consider. The website lists most of them. Chip explained our options for each one. He gave us the pros and cons for each option. He told us about things that are required and let us know if something is not required. The man knows his business. Never once, did he push a choice on us in his favor.Beresford coordinated with us over the coming days. William and Ron handled the church and graveside services. Everyone I spoke to was impressed by their professionalism and cordial demeanor.I told William that I plan to recommend Beresford. It’s been three days since the funeral. Had to use their services for a family member who passed away. The whole team is amazing and worked with us, including sorting out Storm Imelda related complexities.

Beresford was great - a family owned business & it showed - we got personal attention & all our questions answered - even phone calls & emails replied to over the weekend by the owner or his son. Their limo & hearse were brand new Cadillacs - they do not cut corners - we were able to give our father the dignity he deserved - yet somehow they do not charge the outrageous prices the corporate homes charge. The owners son came to direct all the proceedings at our church & graveside & did a perfect job. We have no complaints & were very satisfied. They also had several other staff on site at the church & graveside to make sure everything went off without a hitch. We also had 3 price levels to choose from - even the highest was way less than the corporate homes - with the ability to add a la carte items to all 3. I was so grateful to Beresford on so many levels for the way they handled all the details of my fathers funeral.

Beresford Funeral Home and its staff are simply the best at being professional and respectful. They were a pleasure to work with considering the sad circumstances. They took care of both my mother in December 2011 and my dad recently in October. I was impressed with their compassion and very impressed with their get what you need approach in guiding you with your funeral needs. I never felt pushed to upgrade or to go with higher end products. Most unheard of in this particular industry. I highly recommend them if you truly want to feel like the people handling your loved ones truly care.

I have nothing but nice things to say about beresford funeral. When my little brother passed they honestly helped me so much. He was our first death in the family in houston so ofcourse we where clueless on what to even do. This was the first funeral I was dealing with so I did not know anything. Beresford was recommended by a friend of mine. So from the first time I called them they immediately gave me a warm heartfelt feeling. When we actually when in and spoke to them the first time Mike took his time so explain everything to me. He never tried to upsell me instead he would ask what we wanted. He also took his time and explained other things after a passing of someone things that did not have to do with the funeral but instead how a burial works what they do at church ect... the day of the service e my brother looked as handsome as always. They really helped him look just as he always did. Just handsome... during the funeral arraignments I would forget to call Mike back because I was so overwhelmed with everything going on.. well Mike would call me to remind me about the smallest things. This definitely helped me out so much. We honestly couldnt of picked a better place. The whole place is neat and very clean as well as not to big but not to small. Very very pleased with everything.
