I was having acute dental pain and wondering where I could go to be evaluated on a Friday without an appointment. I called Family Care Dental in Hoover and was able to be seen within an hour! I was pleased with the registration process, receptionist staff and the dentist! If you have dental care needs, I highly recommend this dental office!

My Dental Hygienist Toya did a amazing job with my teeth. I haven’t been to the dentist in a while and she made sure I was comfortable. She took her time explaining the whole process to me . I would recommend anyone to Family Care Dental especially if you have a busy schedule they are open on weekends

This has to be the worst dental office I have ever dealt with. I had a unpleasant visit one time before but still gave them another chance. I made a appointment early august and had to wait until September. When I called I gave the lady all my insurance info and phone number. Only to get there today and they tell me they canceled the appointment. First off when I walked in it took a few mins for anyone to even greet me. Then I was told they canceled the appointment because they failed to update my info into their system. I definitely will not be back. So unprofessional.

I love this place, especially the dental assistant. The atmosphere is very friendly. They were much better than the other choices I had went to. They took the time to explain to me my treatment plan in which I made a good choice. During the whole time I couldnt thank my dental assistant enough and let her boss know that she did a good job. I recommended them to some people and they will be coming..

Dont get fillings here. They recommended that I get a couple of my teeth filled, but after I did, my teeth experienced constant pain I did not have before. I went back a couple of times and the doctor was nice enough to realign the fillings. It eased the pain a little but did not get rid of it. The final time I went back, they backtracked and told me the pain was not from the fillings even though the pain started right after I got them.

I’ve been going to this dentist office for a year now; and all the staff are very professional and knowledgeable. Best dental experience ever!

My crown had come off and it was a Friday night. I called Family Care Dental and I came right in Saturday morning. I was seen immediately. The Dentists were excellent, very professional and kind. Very attentive.They did a great job. I wish they were in Tuscaloosa!!!

Dr Ivan Borysyk is the best! He did a awesome job filling in my broken tooth from a accident I had the day before. I actually walked in to be seen. I was in the back, sitting in the chair at 8am. Out of the office at 9am. I actually had enough time to make it back to my hotel before breakfast ended. The staff was great also! I have found me another Dentist! I will be back! Super friendly from front service staff (got me in on the day I needed) to hygienist (most gentle and friendly) to the most wonderfully efficient, QUICK, knowledgeable, and gentle dentist I’ve ever been to. She really knows what she’s doing and treats your mouth like her own. I have to mention that she all the sudden had 5 people to juggle all at once, not wanting to turn anyone away she put her time management skills to the test and handled it like a pro! (She didn’t have to take my “fix” on same day but did).No excessive swishing, pinching, poking, and she was also great at reading people saying, “Your cheeks/jaw hurt (from being open wide) I’m going to give you a break”Though not the closest location to where I live, I had to get in now, and from now on the extra drive will be worth it (Hoover) to see her again. Kids will be switching also. Kindness and compassion truly goes a long way!! Thanks so much!The only negative is that the office needs updating, with a little clearing of the windows, updated equipment (much needed) and paint would go a long ways. They deserve it.

Has anyone had their wisdom teeth pulled at this location. I currently go to the Homewood location, but I was told the surgeons are in Hoover. So I’m just wondering do they give out medicine afterwards for pain? & do they also use the anesthetic that’s for your gums & not put you to sleep? I asked the ppl at the Homewood location but no one could give me details😒 I don’t even know whether I should eat or not.

I love that they have Saturday appointments. They are courteous and very promptThey are thorough and took time to answer every question and to explain everything to me regarding insurance benefits, my plan of action & the specific dental work I was getting done. They helped me make an i formed decision regarding what I need to have done & the process of going forward with the plan to get it done.

The lady dentist is awesome and the dental hygienist. Great atmosphere some of the front people need to work on being more polite and using English when dealing with patients. Can’t wait to see y’all again😁

Very misleading. They advertise as a family friendly company. A dental office that helps financially with those less fortunate. They do xrays on your teeth that you do not require, and have to pay upfront. They told me what I needed. It was not what I went in for. The price was unbelievable, nothing I could pay. They were not willing to work with me. Im glad I went somewhere else.

I went in for a consultation for pain in a tooth. Super friendly staff, all very knowledgeable & very efficient! The hygienist even explained how I could breakdown payments for certain procedures which was a big relief!

Came to get a Covid test. Google reported site to be open. Building is dark. Parking lot empty. Called 3 times but answering machine says “ we are busy helping other patients please leave a message. “ no further instructions given.

The best Dentist I’ve ever had. The staff made me feel extremely comfortable. I went in for an emergency extraction. Once the Dentist numbed me up, I felt absolutely no pain at all. I had a tooth removed from UAB Dentistry and it was the worst. So the experience I had with Family Care was a well welcomed one. They are awesome! I will be continuing my journey with them and will absolutely recommend them to everyone.

Came in this morning at 8:00 a.m. because I had a painful tooth emergency and 4 wisdom teeth I knew needed to be extracted at some point. I’m a new patient and they took me in very quickly. The Dr. and his assistant were very friendly and thorough with the tooth exam. They set me up with some antibiotics and scheduled an appointment for the same week for a root canal. I could not be more grateful for this today!

Great experience today. Had an issue pop up yesterday and they were able to get me in this morning. Very professional and all paperwork was completed prior to me arriving. I waited maybe 5 minutes after arriving. They took all the necessary covid 19 precautions.

Words cannot explain the amount of pain that I am experiencing , due to a negligent dentist. A dentist, who in fact, attempted with all of his might to pull the WRONG tooth. All the while telling me that it was my wisdom tooth he was trying to pull. Now I am in excruciating pain because the tooth that still needs treatment was tampered with , when it was not supposed to be. I kept asking this dentist, what are you going to do about my broken tooth? . His response was , yes thats A wisdom tooth. When it is no where near my wisdom tooth that you cant even see because THEY NEVER CAME IN. Now Im in pain and probably with an infection because the tooth not only has been tampered with but has broken off even more from him trying to pull out . Please go to this place at YOUR OWN RISK, because you will leave worse than what you came in. This dentist there is obviously imcopetent and should NOT be able to practice. How could a competent dentist mix that up ? Then on top I payed a co pay for extractions that he all of sudden figured out he could not perform. Instead telling me that by looking at the x-rays from the previous visit. He lets me come in , miss work , pay, just to not get any work done. I have started the process for Dr . Jahal Pritpal to get his lid ensue remove for malpractice

I visited this office and everyone was super professional and very nice. The level of service from the administrative staff to the Doctor was phenomenal. You feel very warm and welcomed here. The doctors care and professionalism is the best. Im so glad to have gone to such a great establishment with great people.

They got me in for a same-day emergency appointment with only a couple hours notice. Had X-rays, a treatment plan, and a tooth extraction done and walked out the door less than an hour after I pulled into the parking lot. Probably the shortest time spent waiting of any dentist Ive ever been to.

I went to your home wood location. I cant remember the guys name but he was in such a rush to get out that he didnt even care that I was shaking in fear and crying. He couldnt numb my tooth (not his fault) so he sent me home with antibiotics and a 6 pain pills to last me four days. BC I couldnt go to dentist till i was off again! Also he couldnt even give me the gas and insisted we continue anyways! Now two days late Im in so much pain all BC he didnt care for me properly. Ill never go back!

Everyone is extremely nice and professional. The office is bright and very nice. I was impressed by the doctor and staff. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In fact, my whole family is going here now.

I HATE going to the dentist! However, my experience at FCD was extremely pleasant from the entrance to exit. When a I had a chipped tooth turn into a root canal, I naturally went into panic mode. However, the staff eased my nerves by explaining the whole process to me. They also allowed me to listen to my music during the procedure. I was in and out in about 1.5 hours. I had no pain or discomfort. I would definitely recommend FDC to family and friends.

I gave 4 stars because I wasnt physically there. But My Mother took My Children for their 6 month cleaning and was impressed by how this office displayed quick but quality service. I think Our teeth have found a new home. If this changes I will be sure to RE-review the experience.

Love the staff! They are all very sweet and pleasant. I have been here myself for a root canal. I came in with major pain, and the dentist was awesome at helping relieve the pain and setting me an appointment asap. And now I bring my two younger children who love it! Highly recommend for anyone.

Received a root canal and it was NOT done correctly. I would not recommend going to this dentist at all because the nerve inside of the root canal was not 100% dead for me to still feel pain months and a year later. The pain is very excruciating and annoying and almost unbearable. I called and they asked me if I still had the same insurance and she already got paid for the procedure so why should I pay again when the problem is not corrected?! I received no calls to come back about my crown because she probably felt she completed it successfully. I hate the pain I am going through and I wouldn’t even give a full one star, I wouldn’t give any. This will be a lawsuit if not corrected FREE of charge, and I really am skeptical about going back to her which I probably won’t. Save yourself the trouble and go to a better dentist that won’t leave you with a painful crown from a basic root canal.

This place was a god send during the pandemic most dentist are closed and I had the most horrible toothache I called them and they got me an appointment in just a couple hours pulled 3 of my teeth I dont have insurance and the doctor gave me a great deal. They were all very nice CURTEOUS and professional I highly recommend this dentist office

When I got there I was called back in a decent time. They took my x-rays and then put me in a room and turned on a movie. I watched nearly an entire movie (2 hours) and no one even checked on or seen me. I finally just left without being seen. They seem to schedule more patients than they have dentists to cover them.

Just left there today getting my teeth cleaned and a filling. The experience was great! All of the staff were so nice and friendly and professional! The hygienist was very knowledgeable and did a thorough, yet gentle cleaning on my teeth. She didnt hurt me at all! They have water, snacks and coffee available in the waiting area also. I would suggest that they provide SPLENDA in addition to sugar for those that dont use sugar. Its healthier 🙂. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was very pleased with my service here. From the minute I walked in I was greeted and felt the professionalism presented in the office. This office is very new and clean. Every staff member I encountered was very nice and gentle as going to the dentist makes me a bit anxious. I had some dental work done and very pleased with the results! I have continued to refer my friends and family to this office because of the superior dental care I received. Majority of the staff is also bilingual and they do a good job setting an appointment according to your schedule. Highly recommend !!

VERY, very Happy with staff and all D.M.D.s.Very up-to-date Medical imaging. the office staff knows how to handle insurance issues that other offices cannot. Since using Family Care Dental I have had no problem with insurance denials or rejections. Most all approval from my healthcare provider have been approved, as they were deemed medically necessary.FAMILY CARE DENTAL LORNA LOCATION HAS PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE !!.two close friends have started using them and are VERY HAPPY 😊

Dr. Upton is the best dentist I have ever been to. The whole patient experience from the friendly front desk attendant to Dr Uptons chair side manner was very professional and friendly at the same time which automatically made me feel comfortable and trust her. Their equipment is state of the art and combined with the great service makes this a solid practice. I will definitely come back here.

Went today due to sensitivity and tooth pain, absolutely nothing was done only a referral was given. This is suppose to be a semi urgent dental care but how so is nothing can be done. Waste of my time and PTO from work.

This is a nice and clean place to go to the dentist and the staff are really nice and well knowledgeable about what you need and provide great information at anytime. This location is very up to date and the dentist are really good at what they do. Ive had great experience with them for the last 3 years.

I am 44, Ive been going to the same dentist since I was 10, although Ive lived in different parts of the world and country I would always schedule cleanings, etc during my visit home.....now Im back permanently but I lived 2 hours away so it was important for me to find a new dentist and hygienist locally.
