Dentist coerced me into having unnecessary medical treatment. I wanted a tooth pulled in the back of my mouth, that could not be seen easily. The dentist insisted that I have a root canal and a bridge. I explained that I have no insurance and could not afford the procedure. The Doctor insisted that it would be done and stated dont worry about that, I will take care of you. I regretfully let them proceed instead of leaving based off this comment because I was in a lot of pain.

Ive been a patient with Northcutt Dental for two years, and I recommend them to anyone who may be looking for a dentist. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and thorough. They take time to answer any questions you may have. In fact, Dr. Tucker answered a question from a previous appointment, and remembered exactly what I was referring to. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes before going back. If you are looking for a dentist, I dont think you will leave disappointed.

This was the best decision Ive made in years to come to this office. I had booked my first cleaning in quite a while at another dentists office in Hoover at 4PM on the Thursday prior. They called me on the day before and said theyd need to reschedule my 2PM appointment. I let them know Id never scheduled one for 2PM. The secretary asked if I could come in before 2PM anyway. I let her know the reason I made my appt for 4PM was because I work until then so I definitely couldnt come in at 2PM, let alone earlier now.Long story short, I canceled the appt there altogether and called Northcutt yesterday. They were able to get me in the very next day. I got there about a half hour early today just to do the initial paperwork. Even though I was early, they were able to get me in early as well. The receptionist was sweet and helpful. Shelby, my dental tech, was soooo considerate. I have a terrible gag reflex and she was careful to not jam the x-ray doo-dads (technical, scientific term) into my mouth.Later, she and Nicki (Nicky? Nikki? Sorry for misspelling!) were using a tool Id always seen the techs use but never knew what it was for. Im in my mid-30s and JUST NOW realized it was used for measuring the tooth because the ladies were sweet enough to explain everything.Shelby humored me as I nervously bantered with her about God knows what (I tend to babble on when Im nervous and dentist appts always have that effect on me). Dr. Vo came in and she was just as kind as all the other employees Id met thus far. She explained to me the difference between crowns and root canals, and just really put me at ease.Ive most certainly found a home here and will be using them for all my future dental needs.

Im a relatively new patient of Dr. Wards, and I cant say enough good things about her or the staff at Northcutt Dental. After living most of my adult life without going to the dentist due to multiple bad experiences throughout my childhood, I finally had to go when an abcess became intolerable. Im EXTREMELY phobic, to the point that I have to psych myself into just sitting in the chair.Ive had multiple teeth extracted, and just today (3/16/2017) had to have a root canal and a temporary crown. Ive never consistently been to the dentist the way Ive returned to Northcutt. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and understanding. Dr. Ward does a beautiful job of walking that line between caring/gentle and incredibly professional. Wait times are basically zero, and they dont over-book patients. The staff takes the time they need with the patients who are on hand. (I was in the chair for four hours today). Im incredibly impressed and actually dont dread walking into the office. I cant recommend them highly enough.The receptionist greets me by name when I come in, and the assistants--from April to Rachel to Josh (and Im leaving some out because I cant think of their names)--are ALL friendly and set you at ease before Dr. Ward ever sets foot in the room. You can tell that the staff values their patients. They provide a wonderful level of client care.

After arriving for my appointment, the wait time was short, and the front office staff, friendly and efficient.. The customer service and professionalism offered by my dental technician (named Dani, I think) was fantastic. She took time to explain everything in detail, and her pleasant demeanor and smile made the uneasy feeling of being in the dentist office disappear. She even bought me coffee !! I had my 9 month old with me because he was supposed to be napping(but all moms know how that goes). Absolutely terrible experience! Please do not ever go here unless you want to be taken advantage of. I was overcharged for a service that no other dental office would ever charge fees for. Before putting in permanent crowns, I had two temporary crowns placed in. One of them fell out the next day after slurping soup. Also, when I had the two permanent crowns put in, I asked the dentist if thered be any possibility of them falling out and she said no. I am now in Germany just ONE week after them being put in, and one of the crowns fell out. The dental office knew that I was going to be out of the country for two and a half months, and now I am screwed. I am NEVER going back here again.

Let me begin by saying how much anxiety I had about going to the dentist. For 10 + years I avoided it. I had a bad experience when I was younger and quit going. From the time I arrived at Nothcutt Dental the staff was welcomng and smiling and eased my nervousness. The process was very well organized.At each step, I was informed of what would happen next and asked if I had any questions. Once my cleaning and exam were complete a plan for my continued treatment and next steps were discussed. I could not be happier with my choice of Northcutt Dental.

Went in for a new patient cleaning, charged a special rate of $69 which included cleaning, xrays and treatment plan. This low price is the price charged for patients without insurance. The waiting area was exquisite, nice furniture, tv, even had two Playstation consoles off to side for the kids. My techs, Rose and Memory were very knowledgeable, the cleaning was done by Vanessa and the Dentist was Dr Tucker. As a military veteran with hx of ptsd and anxiety the staff helped my fears of dentistry. Everyone treated me well regardless of how abd my mouth was. I will definitely be back.

My son and I had a great experience at Northcutt Dental!

I sent two new patients to Hoover location and didn’t receive the free gift for referrals.

I walked in this morning for the first time, and was a bit taken aback. I was the only person in the waiting room. I didnt exactly take that as a good sign. Being a new patient, I was asked by friendly Melissa and Natalie to fill out my paperwork....That took all of 3 mins. After that I may have waited another 3 minutes before I was called back by sweet Maritza.... I felt like a dead woman walking....... I dislike ( to put it very mildly,) the dentist, even more since I thought that I was the only one in the office. Ha! As soon as I walked back, it was full of bright lights and friendly faces, every office had a patient in it, and all was smiles and hustle and bustle. Long story short, Dr.. Louisa Stone did what she needed to do after Melissa took my x-rays and I wasnt there long at all. Even though it was packed, I truly didnt wait more than 5-6 mins to be taken care of.......From the wonderfully stocked reception area (hate unstocked and unkempt waiting rooms,) to the front desk, to the clean office and kind ladies, I actually wasnt horrified and terrified as I am usually. Granted, I was still antsy and skeptical because I truly am not exaggerating when I say that I have odontophobia, but they made me feel confident that I was in good hands. My departure was as easy and painless as my entrance, and Im thankful for everyones kindness. Ive been to two other dentists in our area......one simply couldnt have had a worse bedside manner, and the other one was excellent, but a bit pricier it seems than N.D.... I was referred by a friend of a friend, so I decided to give them a try. I dont regret it. I have another appt in a month or so......I hope its just as good or even better. Thank you kind gals!!
