I have been a patient of Dr. Holland for some time and recently had a checkup. Just out of curiosity I read some the reviews and felt compelled to write my own. The most common thread of complaints is that they have to wait. And it is true I had to wait a short while to see the doctor. But my experience has been that the doctors who I like and trust ALL have wait time. Why? Because they spend time with their patients. So many doctors come and go in a flash, often not even taking the time to make a greeting. Dr. Holland has always spent time with me, answered my questions, and never rushed the process. I trust Dr. Holland and I am willing to wait for her knowing that when it is my time with her things will not be rushed.

Dr Holland and her staff are the best. Dr Holland took time with me and explained everything. It was the most thorough eye exam I have ever had. I love her office which is a house that was converted into a doctors office by her dad who was also a great ophthalmologist in town many years ago. Her staff was friendly and knowledgeable as well. I recommend her to all my friends.

I cant recommend this place. I have been there twice, and I felt like both times she was annoyed she had to help me. Her bedside manner needs a serious overhaul. The first time she pretty much said she thought I was making my vision issues. The second visit she was kind enough to come in on a holiday, but when I met with her she acted like she was irritated that she came in to help. I asked, how is your weekend?... She replies Well it was going well... If you dont want to help me, tell me no or dont bother calling me back when I leave a message. I had fiberglass in my eye and she removed a small portion but pretty much called it done and didnt flush my eye or continue to look for more. It took me four more visits with my ophthalmologist to finally get all of it out of my eye(over the course of 2-3 weeks). Also... if you owe them money, expect to get hounded. My insurance didnt pay the entire bill and I owed about $100-150 on my first visit. The staff called me and would not work with me on payments and made a big deal about it. The second visit I owed about $150 and they again called and sent letters almost immediately demanding their money(I was only like 30 days post visit). I sent them $50 and they called me again because I didnt pay the entire balance. This place needs a lesson in customer service and humility.

Today I had a random thought about my poor experience here and realized I never left a review. Its been a couple of years, but on my two visits I waited 2+ hours (similar to other reviews here) despite arriving early for each appointment. On my second appointment I overheard one employee crying in the next room and telling another employee how much she hated it there (bad sign). Aside from the obscene wait times, my experience with the doctor was good. Based on my experience Id only recommend this practice for those who dont value their time or to those who dont have jobs that they need to get back to in a timely manner.

Dr Holland pays attention to the problems I have with my eyes. I have glaucoma and I’m so afraid of losing my vision. She spends time looking at all my tests and reviews these with me. I see where others have complained about the wait but I haven’t had to wait for her more than I wait at any other doctor appointment. I think some people don’t realize it takes time for the dilating drops to work and I want her to take time looking at my tests. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. She’s great!!

I recently required urgent eye care with Dr. Hollands office. The overall experience was simply excellent. Her staff worked diligently to work me in to a next day appointment without hesitation. Once in the office, I was examined by a technician and after a short wait, was seen and treated by Dr. Holland (removal of a foreign body lodged in my eyelid). The entire experience was a culmination of superior help by office staff and the quick, painless and professional treatment by Dr. Holland. An exceptional business model and one that my family will continue to utilize..

Great practice!! Dr Holland took time to tell me about all my options regarding cataract surgery. I was scared about having my eyes operated on but the whole process went smoothly and my vision is perfect now.

Love Dr. Holland! Always a wait when going to see her but who cares! She is excellent at what she does and very thorough. She has the best sense of humor. And her attitude and treatment of her patients trickle down to her staff. Best Eye Experience ever!

I own a small lawn care business and unfortunately ended up with something in my eye. I called Dr. Hollands office and was told to come in right away.Im glad I did as it turned out there was a small piece of debris embedded in the cornea.The office staff was very pleasant and extremely helpful.Dr. Holland was very thorough and explained everything she was doing and what to expect as far as healing time.Highly recommend!

Doctor Holland and her staff have ZERO respect for their customers, and for their time. I left my 10:30 appointment at 11:20, without having seen the dr. I’ll go elsewhere, where the highly educated doctor can hopefully tell time. I wouldn’t go back here for free.If I could leave 0 stars, I would.

Not once, twice, but three times I have been here and waited over 2 hours just to see the eye doctor. I have called ahead and was told Dr Holland was not running behind, to only sit there for 2hours before she came into exam room. Offers no apologies and the staff does not communicate, they rather stick you in an exam room to sit in silence waiting and waiting and waiting. As I communicated my frustration with another patient, I was told that this is common practice to wait over 2 hours past your appointment.

I knew I wanted to change eye doctors for a while. I decided to try Dr. Holland. As she had some great reviews from before she moved to SC. I was definitely lucky to have found her. She is very thorough, listened to each of the of things I was concerned about. She took the time to answer each of them. I learned something about my eyes that have been bothering me for years, and she had a solution to help. She took a lot of notes. Also she is a very pleasant and personable lady.

Doctor Holland is a treasure. Shes has a warm, friendly manner and also a true professional. Ive seen Dr. Holland for various eye problems, and she performed my cataract surgery. She has made it all seem easy, and the results of both exams and the surgery have been terrific. I highly recommend her.

I rather give them a 0 but the one is for some of the staff that were friendly! Im giving them a 1 because I called way before my appointment date to ask what my insurance covers so I can be prepared to bring the cash i need too. I was told to only expect to pay $40 or less after they recieved my insurance information. I get there and get my eye exam and checking out was told that i owe $140! I was stunned and asked why am I paying that much!? I was told repeatedly because of my insurance and deductible! Ok! but when I called ahead I was told something completely different! I stood there feeling frustrated and embarrassed because I didnt have the money I was expecting to pay $40! I could only pay half and now im getting multiple calls for the other amount owed! If it wouldnt go towards my credit I wouldnt pay anything! I was lied too and stuck in a bad spot. WILL NOT BE RETURNING FOR MY FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT!

They do not return phone calls or e-mails. If you have a medical concern thats not routine, I recommend looking elsewhere.

9/25/18. I was a new patient on this date & went to wrong address. Was 6 minutes late & was told they would have to work me in. I am 81 yrs old & was the last patient to leave at 5:30. Only one office personal was there when I left. Very upsetting. Called the next morning said I was not comming Back. They said sorry I felt that way.

I call in for my grandchild an eye appointment , the receptionist was very RUDE , short and unprofessional. I did not meet with the doctor so I can not say anything about her, but I will never go back again . I cancel his appointment very Rude.
