I liked my doctor, Dr. Caldwell. But the staff is very incompetent. I scheduled an appointment a year earlier and called 2 weeks prior to my appointment to confirm it. 4 days prior to my appointment they mention that Dr. Caldwell isnt available and they wanted to schedule me with somebody else 2 months later. Very unprofessional office management.

Dr. Brian Poole is the worst. And here is why, he has canceled my daughters eye appointments three times and my sons eye appointments twice so far. This place is a joke. If you care anything about your vision, your familys vision or your friends do NOT be seen by this man, oh wait you wont be seen by him anyways because he will cancel on you or they will give your glasses to someone elses and not even correct the problem. THIS PLACE IS TRASH 🗑

Place is awful.. Seriously if you need to drive an hour more to find anywhere else do it. You cant get a hold of anyone only a call center and they will argue day and night but cant give you any information other than they will leave a message but you get no call backs its been four days and I have a critical case. Go ANYWHERE else save yourself the trouble.

0 Stars! STAY AWAY FROM PRISMA! You will wait HOURS for your appointments (2 1/2 wait for my last one) and the prices they charge are insane and unjustifiable!Today takes the cake though as I just left the office almost in tears. I dropped off my glasses to get new lenses in Dec 2020 to take advantage of my 2020 benefits - the guy never sat me down to go over any pricing and instead asked me what I wanted. I told him basic frames with anti-reflective coating and then he sent me on my way. Today when I went to pick them up (4:29PM) I was told my balance was $110. I was surprised at the cost and when I tried to enquire about what the breakdown of it was the gentleman was extremely rude. He said he had a dentist appointment at 5 and I just needed to come back another day. When I said I needed to get it done today he became even more frustrated and was rushing me and telling me he didnt have time to go over any of the details because he had to leave. At one point he told me he was just going to put my old lenses back in the frames and I could just go somewhere else (in which case I would lose my 2020 benefit because its now 2021). There was a lot more back and forth but the point is he was being insanely rude and practically kicking me out 20 minutes before they are supposed to close. I asked if the other lady (Tammie) could help me since he needed to leave because I still had questions and he said no because she had work to do and she cant have any overtime (it was 4:46 PM). She eventually helped me out and explained everything and broke the cost down but I was still so frazzled from the other man that I just wanted to get the heck out of there. They charge $90 for their cheapest frame which is crazy! Had I known their prices when I dropped them off i would have gone somewhere else.This is the second time I have had a horrible experience with a Prisma Health business and will never be going back to them.

Waited approx 2 mos for prescription glasses we ordered. Order lost. Tried to get a refund but they said refund had to be approved by their Accounting Dept. and may take a week to be refunded. They gave me Office Mgrs number to speed up refund but Office Mgr not in office. Very haphazard at best and inefficient. Would not ever recommend their service to anyone.

Dr. Poole is great and this review has nothing to do with him or his services. This is about my dealings with the optometry department and David who is over it. I went in after a contact fitting with my frames to get my new prescription set in them and honestly dont think I could have been treated more poorly than how David treated. My whole presence seemed to be a nuisance to him and before I could fully explain my needs to him, he states to me that its obvious that I dont have insurance, which I do and then proceeds to tell me my insurance is not going to be on file with their system and I will have to find my card. He then goes over to the front desk to ask them if I have insurance and the woman at the front desk states yes and he can pull it by my last four ssn like always. Once he sees that I do have insurance he ask me wht kind of lenses I want not really going over my options or price and seems to be rushing me out the door. I call back the convoluted general phone number to file a complaint and leave a message for someone who it isnt really clear is over him and wait for a call back. The person calls me on Monday to hear my complaint and states that she will get down to the bottom of it. David calls me back like 20 mins later to tell me the price of my glasses $114 and tells me that he did not say what I claimed what he said and I misunderstood him. I tell him everything that happened to that point to which he says I would never say that about someones insurance to which I responded are you calling me a liar and he states that I am calling him one. He tries to push off a half hearted apology and ask if I even want them to finish the glasses. I call the person I filled the complaint with back to inform her of how horribly the situation was handled and she states that she has known him for 25 years and his heart wouldnt allow him to come from a bad place. I already can tell she is not even planning a slap on the wrist for this behavior. I ask her what consequences will take place for his actions and she says she doesnt know because she doesnt handle that. Why am I talking to you then? She then tells me its a different person to handle that but she would let them know. No accountability so far for horrible practices in their line of service.

I made an appointment for my son, waited several months...And, today my son missed school, I didn’t go to work because of appointment, but in the last moment we find out that they canceled the apoitment because they didn’t write correctly my phone number in the computer and now I have to wait again months for a new appointment.The service is useless(

I had a great experience here! I took my 1 year old to see the specialist, Dr. Dolphin. All of the staff was pleasant and helpful. The doctor was wonderful with my little boy. He answered any questions I had. I feel like he is very knowledgeable and educated in his field. Id trust his experience and will be going back to him for my sons treatment as necessary. I highly reccomend giving this office a chance despite other reviews on here! (I received no compensation for this review nor was I asked to leave it - it was solely on my own will)

I’m not even sure the technician actually exists. Anytime I try to call to get information about my prescription (or get it faxed to an eyeglass store) it rings forever and then hangs up.

After six months, only received pressure tests and drops for wifes eyes as they got worse. Dr. Oakman just gave no hope and no mention of surgery. Went elsewhere (Clemson) and surgery was scheduled on first visit......was 20/50 w/glasses.....now 20/25 w/o..... pressure in the high 20s......now in the low teens.....no more headaches ....or 3 hour office visits...or being patronized!!

Absolutely terrible customer service. Left 4 voice mails to reorder glasses on file after my son broke his. No call back. Had to go in to say ORDER GLASSES to someone. Had to call office manager to get someone to see if glasses ready for pick up. Tried to pick up glasses today and 6 people at desk but no one to help with the glasses. Had to leave and find time to go back. Highly recommend avoiding this place.

Dr. Bastons treatment met my expectations. Unfortunately the Drs are employees of the GHS conglomerate and have no say about the office deficiencies which forced me to find another provider. There are other options where the Drs own the practice and have total insight of how they want to run their practice.

Ive sent two messages rather than calling since I nam not in country. I asked for reply via email and did not one. I sent a second query asking them to respond via Mychart and did not get one. If that is the kind of service they provide, I dont want them working on my eyes!

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Do NOT order glasses here. They are incapable of knowing anything that is going on. It has been 3 weeks since I ordered glasses and my insurance company says they delivered on the 14th mailed on the 12th (today is the 20th) You can not talk to anyone as you only get a recording. I will never go back them. Please do not do business with this place.

I have been waiting for an appointment with Greenville Eye Institute since August 2017. I had not received any information from them, so I callled today, October 18, 2017 to ask if there were any paper work I need to complete before my visit. I was informed that the doctor I was scheduled to see would be out of the office and I need to reschedule. I am seeing the doctor for a eye problem that is getting worse everyday. My new appointment now is December 2017. I asked to be put on a waiting list if anyone cancelled. Very disappointment.

Very unproffessional staff as the same holds truth with the Doctors. The way my Grandmother was treated and what we observed from the Doctor and his nurse showed no integrity. Dr. Oakland jumped on his nurse in front of my Grandmother and I for mixing her botox wrong. His nurse returned in tears. After remixing himself a week later her face is twisted. It was recommended she have these treatments for muscle spasms. Soon after leaving their office I called left message with nurse explaining she wasnt giving any after care paperwork and for them to call. We heard nothing. I DO NOT RECOMMENDED THIS PRACTICE TO NO ONE.I AM EXTREMELY HURT BECAUSE THE EXPERIENCE AND UNPROFFESSIONAL SERVICE RENDERED TO MY GRANDMOTHER.

As a new patient, my daughters appointment was scheduled and we had to wait over 2 months for an appointment. Two days before our appointment, they cancelled it and the next available appointment was 3 more months out. Absolutely unacceptable. New patients beware! This business should not be accepting anymore new patients as they are very obviously over booked with the patients they already have!!
